Update 4/16/20:The manager said she found footage of the individuals that broke into my unit. It took over a week to go through the footage and the footage still hasnt been submitted to Stockton PD.*Original review*My unit was broken into sometime after 2/11/20 and they still have not finished reviewing the video footage. To add insult to injury they sent me a notice that my rent would be increasing.They have a ladder available to assist we would-be thieves in viewing the contents of the units and accessing them.They told me that my unit was the only unit broken into.

Yes well Im a true believer in truth in advertising and with that said this place doesnt deserve the one star i gave them. I got a small storage 5by 6 ft that was the only thing that was trithful security cameras none to be seen anywhere except up front 12 dollars a month turned out to be three times that for the initial 100 n something for two months 21 dollars ins which is applied to a monthly charge on your bill made me real dis gusted becuz the woman at the desk kept telling me every time i was charged extra for customer protection then they make u buy a lock that you can never use again bcuz its useless for anything but there one of a kind storage hole locks jjoke all the way around

I met A lady name Shylo when I came to my storage. It was the most pleasant experience with her, even though it was my first time seeing her. What I loved about shylo, it was not a challenge for her to help me in a very challenging moment.This company has a very precious employee. She not only cares for her job, but takes time to give the customers the care and the attention that they need. This is needed more in the workplace!

The price has been going up way too much. $$$I’m looking now for a storage rental Place with more reasonable prices. The storage space starts out low but shoots up fast once you move in.Call around for different prices before you come here!!!!!!

At this location, as the other two locations, always the best. Whitney and all the senior staff have been incredibly helpful while I have been moving my possessions from a different storage company with increasing limited access. (I *really* wish Id known about Extra Space two years ago.) Long access hours, convenient, helpful and friendly staff, access to bathroom, a cart in each building to roll my things from my car to my unit, very clean, great prices.This location is all ground level, great if you are handicapped. My other two units in the East Bay Area while staying with friends were upstairs, with lifts for stuff and stairs for customers, but good enough for me even though I was using a cane at the time; still, this is still easier.If you are looking, Extra Space is the place - first, second and third time are all the charm. And this West Ave frontage road location, just south of Hammer, is convenient. Make a reservation on line, for best prices, and you will get a call to touch bases and help you get started.

Haven’t moved in yet but my 5 star rating is for the service I received from the staff. Moving in itself is taxing so being that Isaiah was friendly, knowledgeable and personable made this process super easy! He also assured me that the rest of the staff was great too so we shouldn’t have any issues once we move in. :-)

The place is clean. We underestimated the space we needed and the guy made the transition such an easy experience. The best part of my move was using Extra Space. It was seamless. I would recommend this place. Great customer service!!

Gene is the manager of the Extra Space Storage in Hammer town. We rented for a while and never had any problems, Gene was always polite and helpful in any questions we had. He caries himself very professional and did care for the people and try to make everyone happy.

Very friendly staff and super informative,made an online reservation for a future move in date and they were able to accommodate me with moving in same day as I walked in. Gene did an amazing job showing me options based on items I was storing I was going to store, and even making sure I knew how to access the property. He was very curtious w other customers as he acknowledged them upon entry of the property. Definitely satisfied w there service!!

So pleased with how they treated me. I called in and spoke to someone out of California who quoted me over 200$ for a unit. Isaiah went out of his way and gave me a personal phone call and let me know that the quote was wrong. we made an appointment and he showed me the storage unit then proceeded to get me a best price for the situation I was in. so pleased with their customer service I recommend them to anyone you will not be sorry you went with them 😁

They sent me an email informing that my storage was broken into. The whole latch and lock where both cut off the storage door. The majority of my valuables were stolen and attempted steal my vehicle. The rest was left in shambles and they also tore back apart of the rear aluminum wall, which obviously isn’t very secure, possible in attempt to get to the storage unit directly behind mine. There is a good 4 ft tear where you can see right into the next storage unit now. I was told the thief got to the camera panel and shorted it up and forced open the gate. What pisses me off, there is no back up or tamper alarm that should have activated and alerted police. Also, break-ins had apparently been going on for months at this location and I was never told about this problem when I first moved in 5 months ago. Also, it’s very fishy as my unit was the only one broken into that night. Things taken where large and heavy to where you’d need a truck to remove and a lot of time. It just fishy how they bypass every other unit and went right to mine. I’m so upset, everything I owned was in there and the majority of it is all gone!

Nice people. Nice facility. I just cant understand why I have to hunt them down each month to pay my bill. It was understandable in the beginning when they where changing over, didnt have help or whatever, but its been over 7 months and I still make at least 3 trips each month trying to find someone on site. No one hardly ever seems to be there. Yesterday, I made the trip 5 times to try to pay my bill. Still no one. There were at 6 others waiting for someone to show up. Im wasting gas always trying to catch up with you all. If you need help, hire me, I could use another job. Come on, at least get a back up person. This has gotten ridiculous. Guess I have to try again today. Third day, seventh trip. Wondering if they will try to charge me a late fee now. So upset and disappointed.

This is the best storage facility I ever experience. Not only its the best compare to other storage company, but its also the best among EXTRA SPACE STORAGE facilities. Im a long term storage user, I rented many storage over the last 20 years, I used many, many different companies, many different facilities fron EXTRA SPACE STORAGE, I want to share with you, this is the best one.Heres the many reasons.First, this EXTRA SPACE STORAGE company has long term deal, if you pay in advance for 1 year, you get 1 month free. the access hours is longer than most other companies.Second, to compare with other EXTRA SPACE STORAGE facilities, this is also the best, it has restroom outside the office, so the renter can use even after office hours!, the location is safe and nice neighborhood.The facility is in top shape and spoty clean.The staffs is super nice, courteous, help full.As a veteran storage user, well experienced with many storage companies, this is the best facility, not only for price, but its the best for your money!

Beautiful upgrade. The manager kept the place very well maintained. I had this storage for years. Only reason I let it go is because I’m finally settled into my new place. If, in the future I need storage, this will be my go-to place.

DO NOT GO HERE. My parents went there this morning for a storage unit. We had reserved at 10x12 the night before for $86. I called this morning and asked about insurance and locks and I was informed that insurance was $11 and a padlock would be fine to use on the units. My parents get there and call me upset. Apparently, over night, the prices had changed from $86 to over $100. Not only that, the insurance was $14, and a padlock was NOT okay and they would be REQUIRED to buy a cylinder lock. Suffice to say, they were upset. The young man there (who was super polite) called his District Manager (who’s name I believe is Nate) and said “are you sure you don’t wanna budge on the price? They’re saying they’ll go to Public Storage” and the DM said “Let them go.” So even though we reserved a unit for $86 and they SHOULD honor the price and it is also policy to honor the price, the very own District Manager of the store said they wouldn’t honor it. It’s ridiculous and actually sad how terrible of an experience this was at this Extra Space.

I will give five stars all day long if every experience was as nice as this one, the young man was very helpful answered every question I had before I could asked it, there should be more people friendly employees like Jason so everyone can experience such warmth with it being so cold outside thank you extra space for Jason. I am currently renting a unit here and it has recently been broken into. I had to leave work to see what was missing and file a report etc... I had a lot of questions of why and how was this able to happen. Ive seen such great reviews of the place but now I get the worst of this poorly managed facility. Everytime I pull into this place I see the same cars running wires from it to the unit like they are living in them. They told me they make sure that dosent happen because they check them at the end of every shift but I find that false because if theyre not able to see what happened to my unit that day then Im sure they are not able to see the people who would be living in the units. The first day of the the occurrence, they told me I can move my things into another unit like I can just pick up the remaining furniture and move it and made it seem as if I should be grateful for that at least. I felt like the employee only said that because they didnt want to have to put on a new lock mechanism that was torn off and have me work instead. I was asking questions politely and one of your staff members would respond rudely. Like If her things were stolen. When the police came to make the report, He even asked why isnt there any cameras in the middle of the unit sections. The same employee responded him rudely as well saying he can take up to their corporate management. We left and she said shell notify us when the new lock was put on. I asked them can they just switch a door from the other empty units but she acted like she didnt hear me. Still I continued to be polite and left then returned when they gave us notice of the new lock (Which was moved slightly lower then where the other originally was) there was still a big hole exposing all my personal belongings.I went back personally and handed the employee my keys and she was the one to lock my unit. she also showed me the indoor units to see if I would be interested in those, which have alarms (Which all of them should have) but the first thing I noticed was a roach on the floor. My wife went back the next day and seen that the lock was not locking correctly. My wife went into the office to inform another employee about the door not locking and when they seen the door, they seen that the lock mechanism was not installed correctly. There was no hole through the door for the lock to work and my wife took pictures of this. I went back 2 days later and still no effort into changing my door and I just wanted to ask about the status of my unit being repaired. The lady I talked to at first was very professional, polite, and answered my questions calmly. She said she would get the other employee to give me more details about the situation on my door still not being replaced and this is the same employee whos been answering questions with attitude and rudely. I asked about the door ever being replaced since we are still paying the same rate and then she began with her attitude then began raising her voice at me saying WE TOLD YOU YOU CAN MOVE YOUR THINGS INTO ANOTHER UNIT BECAUSE YOUR POSSESSIONS ARE STILL AT RISK.I just asked for a door replacement or if any way they can cover the hole at least but it was like they expected me to just deal with the unit or move my things on my own, but as a warehouse worker that is not an easy duty. I asked if anyway they can get any employees to help because moving furniture is not something anyone can get up and do. like anyone else we cant just get up and move our furniture out of a unit like its nothing. Its something thats always planned and this situation was highly unexpected. I just walked out because she just said they have to get someone to come look at it take measure and get a quote..? Why does that matter when most of the units are a standard size and wait for a quote?? Your management should not have to think twice about fixing a door thats unsafe and keeps all my possessions at risk. As a customer that pays on time and respects the policies of this company I should never have to deal with this type of service.

This company took over for two previous companies all resulting in a price increase which i could see being spent on the upgrades that they had to do however the reason i went to this place was because i could afford it. There rep gene is very helpful, polite and knowledgeable . but i still may have to get rid of it because its still more than i have allowed in my budget .

What a rude disrespectful owner telling me he isnt going to argue with me!! We paid for the whole month and called to give him a 3 day notice we would be moving out of the unit. I called to ask for a credit on my moms unit NOT money back but a credit because I was not there a whole month he told me I didnt give a 3 day notice I told him I have proof my mom called and left a voicemail then he tells me I should have told him before I paid the full month. Never did he say you have to give a 30 day notice it was 3 days!!! Seems to me he sounds money hungry!! I will be calling his boss!!!
