The vegetable grocery is always stale. I went in on Thursday of the week to get some scallions and cilantro, they were so bad I didnt buy. Guess what, I went back on Sunday and I am pretty sure the cilantro was the same product from Thursday. It was definitely not edible, they need to skim, throw out ones that are bad and replace with FRESH veggies.

Called at 6 and asked if the western union was working so i could send cash. They said yes, It was. Once i got there around 6:20 I was informed the western union was closed.

I love shopping here. Its clean, the sales are many the workers are always very helpful and i love the inventory robot.

Its the worst stop and shop to go there. Always short handed.

Hey....Stop and Shop Stoneham, MA it was my first time in your store today. It was an absolutely delightful shopping experience. You have amazing selections and so many specialty items. I will be back and it even means crossing town lines!! But it will be so worth it. The staff is super friendly and professional too...I cant say enough!!

I shop this store for convenience.The Two major complaints I have are -you need to remind your Online Shopping employees that other people shop there too, so stop blocking the whole aisle with your cart and you still work for S&S, so you might want to either help the customers who need it, or find someone who can instead of ignoring them.And especially this particular Store, WHY do you allow people to bring their pets? Theyre obviously not service animals. Are you afraid to offend them?if its not a service animal, theyre not supposed to be there.Two guys had a German shepherd at the self checkout today- Friday @ 11am ishThis really needs to be addressed.

Best staff, carriages always available, produce fresh, meat & seafood section one of the best in NE! (Tony👍). Clean, bright & always stocked. Cant find an item, suggested it, most times on shelf within a few weeks.

Good customer service and cleanliness. They provide masks if youve forgotten yours. They have a good diverse selection. I shop here at off hours and selective months of the year but have nothing but good recommendations. As the hours are off peek Ive never waited in line... quick service. All the produce have been good quality and never had a complaint.

The only reason why I gave this place four stars and 05 is because every time I go in there it seems their shells are not stalked and sometimes Ive got yogurt from there and its been bad along with the berries like blueberries raspberries are moldy but overall is a nice grocery store⭐⭐⭐⭐

Love the location of this Stop & Shop, close to I93 and is convenient for a quick stop. Stopping by the meat & seafood section is a must, Vinny is my go to guy and is great with recommendations. Hes helped me plan out a couple of my family dinners

Close to home so good when needing something they sell quickly. Even though they have better produce market basket puts them to shame with prices.Btw.. steer clear of the self checkout monitor lady (heavy set with blonde hair) that over does her job to the point that has you feel as though your a Thief. Can get to be real annoying at times. Enough that she cost them their 4th star lol.

Hi, Im not trying to be negative or critical. I know people do best they can but I challenge you to do better for your customers - and please clean shelf tops. I like and frequent these products and these shelves have looked like this for over a year now. I dont know if it is a workflow issue - where task is not clearly defined between stop and shop employees and delivery people, but I hope you can assign task to someone and check up to ensure it gets completed. Especially in these times, going a year leaving large messes on shelves isnt ok and really its kind of uncomfortable buying drinks off of old dirt. Thanks for your help

I went meat shopping for my dogs, although i stopped buying there for my family couple years ago because of the quality, i was thinking the meat should be clean enough for the dogs to eat, I grabbed a pack of bones and looked in the pack to see a fly on top, packaged nicely inside, I cant believe I almost missed it, how gross I cant even shop for meats for my animals there, and to think I almost handed it to them makes me sick. Lesson learned, and reminds me of the actual reasons I will not be shopping there any longer

Im not a fan of this store, or any Stop & Shop, because the prices are crazy high. I believe the prices are at least 15% higher than Market Basket. (Apples are 30% higher) Even Target has better food prices than this chain.That said, I believe the staff are much friendlier here than Market Basket.

Glad theyre getting serious on masks, saw them asking someone to wear one the other day. A few weeks ago I saw a guy at customer service without one and nobody said anything. Improvement is good.

This has to be the worst stop and shop I’ve been to. It’s dirty with an unpleasant smell. I bought a few products there without looking at the expiration date and when I got home noticed it was expired by a few months. This happened more than once. Unfortunately it’s the closest grocery store for me but not worth it.

This Stop and Shop has very poor management. This store is located in a convenient location but unfortunately the food at this store is never properly stocked, no matter what time you go. They are always out of something, and this was even prior to the pandemic. Recently I did a Peapod order for pick up between 5-6pm. At 4:00pm I received a phone call that the pickup wouldnt be ready until 6:30pm, which I said was ok. I arrived at S&S at 6:30pm and they told me that it will be another 40 mins for my groceries. I said ok....fine I will just wait in my car at this point. I called again after it had been another additional 40 minutes because I still never received my groceries. Than the employee tells me it will be another HOUR or longer! At this point I cancelled my order and just shopped inside the store. I was offered no small compensation ...nothing! It was very frustrating to say the least. I wasnt the only person who was waiting, there was a line of cars parked beside me who were also still waiting for there groceries. If S&S can not meet the pick up deadlines I would rather have them cancel my order than waste my entire evening. Clearly this store isnt managed properly. I have done Peapod at other S&S and have experienced no issues. However, I have given this S&S multiple times to improve but the overall management of the store is lacking.

I loved shopping here until that one troublemaker with the greasy curly hair gave me attitude at checkout. Never going back now.

I was really only in there for a few minutes to pick up some things for my aunt, who is in the severe risk category for COVID-19, and dont have much to say, good or bad, about the experience.Food for thought though: if youre going to close the main entrance to one side of your store, could you at least put up some kind of signage that lets people know when they park on that side so they can at least move over to the other instead of not realizing it was closed until I walked up to the doors and then have to walk all the way to the other side of the building in the rain and then back to the car when leaving?

I am so grateful for the amazing managers and staff at this location. Today as I was checking out I realized I had lost my wallet. Instead of turning me away they helped me look through the aisles searching for my wallet. They were so understanding and helpful. I was in tears thinking I wont be able to buy food for myself being as I only have that one credit card and no cash, but they let me have my groceries and told me not to worry about it. I cried even more knowing how kind they were to me! I have been shopping here for years and I will continue to do so. Best customer service I have ever received in my life! THANK YOU STOP & SHOP STAFF OF STONEHAM!

Pretty decent place. A few of the employees can be rude but the majority of them are nice. Stop & Shop has some nice deals sometimes, but could be found a bit cheaper elsewhere. The produce is fresh. They also have a robot which detects spills? Its pretty cool.

In the Stoneham, MA store it appears to be routine for one (and only one) staffer at the deli to verbally abuse customers and in my case threaten to throw me out if I went to the store again. Fortunately much of what he had to say was incomprehensible - except for the part about being old and white.Other than that the store remains less than sanitary, short of product and comparatively expensive. It is encouraging to see that a number of the staff are clearly dedicated but management shows poor judgment when barking at them in the presence of customers. They are human beings and should be treated with respect. Customers expect a civil shopping environment.The bottom line is that the managers can be trained, but prejudice carries a heavy burden with it ... you cant fix stupid. I would also recommend that you hire legal residents.

Nothing ever changes. Very average. Prices vary. Some too high. Customer service adequate. Shelves well stocked. Nothing unusual. I rarely go there unless I need too. Better prices elsewhere.Its just there because of location. Free parking. Visible from the ok m Street.It just doesnt stand out for me.I dont see much changes. I think to move up in rating, words standing alone is no substitute. While I appreciate your response, and its kindness, I stand by my opinion of your facility.

We are using Peapod to order then we are picking up the groceries at the store. The staff does a decent job of filling the order, but the store doesnt have everything every week.

Produce isnt great and theyre sometimes out of stock for various items. Tried the pick up option and had a few items swapped out due to availability, but Id give it another shot. Friendly staff makes up for it and always a pleasant experience with them.

Wayyy easier with the app! Absolutely keeps me organized with my grocery list. My card is digitally on my phone. It just makes shopping there easier.

Stop & Shop is awesome. The selection is great, awesome bakery. Id definitely recommend the bagels theyre nice & doughy & to die for when theyre fresh. The built-in Dunks of course is a plus. Deli meats are awesome in fact I cant think of anything about the groceries that isnt good. The rotisserie chicken is great. The prepared foods & meals are great, except they kind of skimp with the fried chicken, more fried breading than chicken but other than that great selection of prepared foods. Good salad bar but they should mark the add ons in case of allergies. Most of the employees are nice. And if you dont like the madhouse aspect of Market Basket if you sign up for a rewards card youd be surprised at how much your merchandise gets marked down & they mail you & email you coupons of the stuff you buy the most of which is pretty cool & then there is the gas rewards.

Called the bakery to ask if they had the large size fruit tart. For a special occasion this evening. The gentleman on the other line could not understand me. I was speaking English. Its pretty frustrating to think I have to learn a foreign language in my OWN country.

The store was good had a lot of good sales but the cashier was not that good. We had a large order and I think she thought she had to rush because she pushed the items down the belt banging the fruit into each other. We went to that cashier because there was a person bagging until they decided not to bag any longer so we had to try and catch up.

Employees are ALWAYS very nice and helpful. I am not there yet, but you notice how they help the elderly. You dont see that everywhere. Its very nice!!

They 99.9% of the time have in stock why I need unlike other grocery stores that shelves look as though its WWII and theyre rationing food items. Very clean and appealing to the eye aesthetically! The staff is always friendly, helpful and efficient. Very pleased with my experience💯

I only go to stop n Shop when I dont feel like driving to Reading to market basket. The STONEHAM s+s is not a bad store. Limited handicapped spaces and they have a curious autonomous robot which travels about the store. Fascinating machine, but I find it gets in the way sometimes.

I love this location I am in and out no long lines and I can always findparking.

Dirty, dingy and dark. S&S always seems to have a rotting smell throughout the entire store.

I frequently go here after work as it’s close by. The selection is good and I always have a fast and easy checkout. Only gave 4 stars because some things are a little pricey compared to other stores but overall a good place to shop.

Your average store. Always clean inside. Staff are always helpful & nice. Prices are alittle high. Meat dept is not what it use to be. I dont buy meats anymore. You can get some good deals sometimes. Never enough registers open. Always debris against the building outside.

I went there for butter lettuce.ALL bagged butter lettuce was browned, wilted and some had visible slime.After seeing the lettuce still sitting on the shelf in such a state, I trusted nothing this market has to offer.This sort of neglect shows that the employees and management clearly dont take pride in this market.

To be honest the quality of their merchandise has gone down you cant find strawberries that are not spoiled occasionally you can find good blueberries but the produce gets put out after its turned seems to be sitting somewhere too long either in the freezer or on a truck but they need to be more aware of what theyre putting out and when

This is honestly the worst Stop & Shop I’ve ever been to. They never have any ready food in the deli section and when they do it’s expired. There’s a lot of holes on the shelf meaning there’s a lot of product that they’re missing, not sure if it’s just not being put out? All around the store is just limited and doesn’t have as much stuff as other Stop & Shop‘s. Every time I go in there I leave empty-handed because they don’t have what I’m looking for.

I only come here when Im desperate. More often than not, employees are unhappy and regularly rude. I know its not an easy job & most likely not paid enough but it doesnt give employees the right to be awful. Never once have I left Trader Joes, Market Basket or Whole Foods and been treated soo poorly. Even my husband who is as patient as a Saint cant stand it. Again, you should only go when you are completely desperate. I have tried to speak with a manager on more than one occasion but he/she is always too busy and have to wait. Im also busy and usually leave after 15 minutes of waiting.

Added a stupid robot that is always roaming the store for no reason and does nothing but get in the way. All self check lanes arent always open. Butchered a great parking lot for pathetic Online pickup. Get rid of the robot and online pickup parking spots.

I find it funny how people that make 6 and 7 figure salaries with full benefits, get to dictate to the people that are making those 6 and 7 figure salaries for them.Its pathetic how the stop and shop employees are being treated. As for myself, even after the strike is over, I will never set foot in a stop and shop as long as I live. May the executive management pimps rot in hell.

The store is old but clean. If you need help you need to really look around cause there is no one on the floor. The prices are high but its convenient .

Always clean and check out girls are usually pretty fast. But like all Stop and Shops they are a bit more pricey than Market Basket. But a shout out to the guy in the prepared foods. Not sure of his name. But I was in there on Super Bowl Sunday and it was Super Busy. I was looking for Chicken egg rolls but all they had was pork. I asked the gentleman behind the counter, who was in the middle of something else if he had any Chicken. At first he said that they didnt, however about 3 minutes later he found me and informed me that he found some and if I was willing to give him 10 minutes he would cook them up for me. Not sure his name, but Thank you. They were piping hot when I got them and were gobbled up as soon as I arrived at my buddies house for the game.

Took me 1.25 hours to buy a couple of bags of groceries at 5:00 on a Saturday night with 1 full register open. There were about 8 people with full carts on line, so I called the store while standing on line and asked customer service to alert someone that they needed to open more lanes. After a few minutes when nobody was doing anything, I called again. The person in customer service said the manager was in the back when I asked to speak with him. He told me he could not get the manager. I watched him stand at the customer service desk with NOBODY at the desk. He simply stood there while people on line got more and more agitated. In another 10 minutes there were 12 people in line. Shoppers couldnt get around the line to move through the store. Everyone on line was complaining that this was the last in a series of bad experiences at the store. When I finally got through the line and was headed out of the store I could hear people on line hollering for someone to do something. Worst supermarket experience Ive ever had. Everyone on line was talking about how much trouble theyd had with the store in the past. A number of people said they wished theyd gone to Market Basket. This store has been going downhill for a long time, but tonights complete disregard for their customers and nobody lifting a finger to make it right convinced me that rerouting myself to go to another supermarket would be far less stressful than going to S&S. I did have the option of using a self check-out but since they never work, I decided not to. As I left there were people using those lanes who were frustrated because they NEVER work. Nightmare.

Not great. They only ever have a handful of employees and they rely heavily on self checkout. Without employees the shelves are half full, lines are long, carriages are all over the place. One time there were literally zero cashiers and the self checkout got stuck. A manager, who apparently couldnt help me, had to go find an employee to help and it took him 5 minutes. What? Ill give it 2 stars because they have a good deli.*Update: now they have a huge robot that wanders around beeping. Ive been told it looks for spills. Seriously?

I used to do all my food shopping here but things just kept getting worse. Prices went up. Friendly service went down. Checkout was often slow so I loved using the checkout guns while they had them. But then I was frequently flagged and couldnt checkut without a staff member going through my bags looking for stuff. Thats a pretty bad experience. Finally I had a terrible experience with the manager who refused to replace my propane tank - which was faulty and leaking gas - because I didnt have a receipt. Who goes around trying to scam stores by damaging their propane tanks? The tank cost me $50 and it was worhless. So how I avoid Blue Rhino and this Stop and Shop.

Im freezing various bits of my anatomy off in my black and neon yellow spandex leggings while gassing up my gorgeous classic 2003 f150, which has enough salt on it to make even the most saline of margarita glasses blush.You brought me out my receipt despite the frigid temperatures and your lack of jacket.Speaks to your character.
