I am a blogger who writes about living with Lyme disease, fibromyalgia, allergies, and other health issues, and I really love the nontoxic sofas I got from Pure Upholstery and its previous incarnation, EKLA HOME.The sofas are free of nasty chemicals yet stylish, attractive, and comfortable. Donna has been amazingly helpful, super-friendly, and incredibly attentive. The sofa cushions are firm enough to provide good back support, but they have enough give to be comfy enough to fall asleep on. The fabric I got is a beautiful taupe that is naturally stain resistant without chemical fabric finishes. I am definitely a repeat customer. :)

I bought a sofa and chair from Pure Upholstery/The Organic Mattress Store six months ago and I am genuinely happy with all aspects of the purchase. The sofa and chair are made from the highest quality of organic and natural materials, handmade with beautiful craftsmanship. You can really enjoy relaxing on the sofa knowing that there are no dangerous flame retardants or chemicals used! I am very happy with my choice of wool upholstery fabric. The design of the pieces are very stylish and are extremely comfortable. The customer service Donna provided was phenomenal, as I had many questions before placing my order since I live over 1600 miles away and was not able to come into the showroom to actually sit in and evaluate the quality and comfort level. They were also able to ship to my remote location (far from any major cities) where eco-upholstered furniture is simply not available. I have received many compliments about the style and remarks on how comfortable the furniture is. I would highly recommend their upholstered furniture.

My headboard is gorgeous. I chose the design, fabric and nailheads. It is completely custom and chemical-free. Shipping was a little tricky because it was white glove and the shippers come into my area only twice a month. So, I had to take what they gave me. But, they set it up in my bedroom. It was worth it. Im chemically sensitive.

I have worked with Donna for years on various projects to restore some of my furniture pieces. She is an expert on fabrics and raw materials, I was able to tell her what I was comfort and aesthetic I needed and she took to time to answer my many, many, many (sorry Donna!) emails and made sure that my loveseat was perfect. Its nice to know exactly what something is made out of and Im happier knowing my furniture fillings are all non-toxic and off-gassing free.

I purchased an organic West Palm sofa on Pure Upholsterys sale page. It was a floor model and was priced within my budget. It didnt take long for the sofa to ship. Unfortunately, when it arrived at the nearby shipping companys warehouse (Metropolitan), the employees there contacted Donna and told her that the back of the sofa was faded. Donna sent me a photo and apologized for missing that detail on their end; the sofa had been near a window in their showroom. The sofa was then sent out to have the faded panel reupholstered. But because the new fabric dye lot did not match the existing fabric, the sofa had to be fully reupholstered. It took a while to move through all the various steps--but I was not in a hurry. (I understand that patience is a virtue.)The sofa finally arrived: virtually brand new, with no issues with delivery. It is comfortable and quite lovely. The craftsmanship is exactly what I would expect from an heirloom piece. And I am comforted knowing there are no toxic materials leaching into my home.Through all the processes, Donna kindly kept me updated. I never felt that the company was going to abandon me or otherwise cease their excellent customer service.I also purchased two floor cushions from them and they arrived quickly, with no problems. I love them, too.I definitely recommend Pure Upholstery for their quality products, their integrity and of course, their wonderful customer service. Much thanks to Donna for making my sofa perfect.

I walked into Pure Upholstery at The Organic Mattress to see what their pieces looked like in person, and I was so happy I did. I was in the market for upholstered furniture that was free of chemical flame retardants, (with young kids bouncing on the sofa every day, this was especially important to us). And Donna was so happy to answer all my questions about how they make their furniture and work with me on designing something that was right for the space and my familys budget. She is absolutely lovely to work with - in no way pushy or salesy, and clearly an expert in her industry.Our loveseat arrived just when it was promised, and all of us love it. Its original in design, beautiful to look at, as environmentally safe as we needed it to be and as durable as our family demands.I wouldnt hesitate to reach out to Donna at Pure Upholstery about any upholstery needs we have - it is leaps and bounds above purchasing a sofa from a box store!

I ordered a loveseat recently and a couple of sectional/ sofa pieces two years ago from the predecessor of Organic Mattress/ Pure Upholstery. Both times the furniture pieces turned out great. They literally have no smell even when brand new, except for the slightest natural latex smell, just like any natural latex mattress. Donna is extremely knowledgable in this industry and helpful during the purchase process. I am glad I discovered them!
