We have been going to Four Star for over 10 years and we have received the best care out of any auto repair shop we have ever gone. Dave is the kind of guy who will tell you if you can wait to change that belt or if your tires can last until your next oil change. That means when he says you need to do something right now, hes not cheating you. He and Irv have been keeping our elderly cars running like brand new cars off the lot.

After bringing my car to 2 different repair shops that could not findor fix the problem with my car, A friend suggested Four Star Auto, where they have been a happy customer for years, Not only did they repair my car in 1 day, the service they provided was fantastic. I live in New Jersey and rarely have any need to drive through its Tallman, NY. I was at the ShopRite and when I came out I got no response from my car. No alarm, no engine power, nothing. I thought it could be a key issue and I thought I was stuck in New York with nowhere to go. It was the end of the day and I was panicking. Turns out these guys were just up the road. I didnt know if they could figure something out or if Id have to look into getting a new car after possibly spending the night in New York at a local hotel. They were able to come and pick my car up from the ShopRite parking lot and the very first thing in the morning I got a phone call detailing what the issue was. by the end of the day they had completely replaced the wiring in my car and it was running like new. They let me know what was going on every step of the way and Ill never forget it. Dont know if Ill ever be back in Tallman, but if I ever am and need work done, Im going to pick Four Star Automotive. Great work gentlemen!

Absolutely avoid this place at all costs If youre a woman or someone who obviously knows nothing about cars, they WILL rip you a new one, treat you terribly, and make up stories about how you need this you need that and then overcharge you like crazy. Im glad I was able to save a family member from these crooks. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Dont trust the vehicles sold by this facility. Theyre all lemons and they dont care. I had to learn the lesson the hard way.

Best service in the area. My daughter even calls to check on what a mechanic tells her when she needs service by her college.

I have been a customer for over 20 years and can honestly say dave and irwin have always done excellent work and been very reasonalbe with there price. When i bring my vechicle in for service they never make me feel intimidated they are very friendly honest businessmen, once you try this shop you wont go anywhere else. i have recommended many friends and family never 1 complaint.

He said he fixed my brakes brought it back 5 times. Seems he never actually fixed them but charged me for brakes & rotors. He kept claiming things were wrong when they werent and tried to steal me out of money by false claims. This man is a crook and a liar.
