We were sold a broke recliner that hasnt lasted even two months without gouging my wood floors, lopsided and shredded foam underneath and faulty recliner mechanism. Yes they wrote as is on the sales slip, but it should never have been offered for sale. $300 for a broke recliner. It appeared to work at the store. Area Manager would not approve an exchange. VERY UNHAPPY. NEVER COMING BACK. Why couldnt they make an exception. Bad customer service. Never coming back.

I was extremely impressed with Mr Buster at Schewels furniture in Suffolk. I was shopping for a Sleeper sofa on line for two days but every other store told me they couldnt get me what I wanted until Nov 25, until I talked to Mr Buster. He was very helpful, told me he would look in the warehouse and called me right back, they had one. I told him to hold it for me, when I got to the store paperwork was ready, they loaded it into my truck and I was on my way home in less than a half hour. I will call them first the next time I need furniture

The way these people handle business is horrible. Completely got my purchase wrong and instead of correcting the issue, starting giving attitude and excuses for the problem. Ok, Im not going back and forth with nobody. The lady I spoke to over the phone going to ask is there a reason for the request to cancel your order? What you got jokes now? I didnt know that some of the workers at schewels were comedians. Then when I went back to the store to get my refund, one the staff ask me my name then rolls her eyes. Again, horrible practice of business. I was not rude to anybody, didnt raise my voice. I just asked question what happened with the order? I understand mistake happen, own up, dont get defensive off your mistake.

First off I would like to say the ENTIRE staff does a wonderful job in assisting to help find what I need. The store manager Daniel has gone above and beyond to help out. They 100% back their customers and I love that I can spend my money there and have confidence in the product. They defiantly have a customer for life!

I didnt have any issues here. It took about an hour or hour and a half to get a credit check, pick out what i wanted, and get my finance paperwork. The head boss was quite nice and helped with the adjustments for the furniture i picked. They have a decent selection and Everyone should also remember that some things arent available due to covid 19 and shipping issues. I would say the price range here is affordable for most and a little over average. Everyone was plessant also.

I am was excited about getting approved for my new credit account but disappointed about not getting my new furniture. When I came in to o fill out the application and got approved on the 25th of September ( Mon.) they said my stuff should be here 17th. Now it is a back order and doesnt know when my furniture is coming and that is not good business. I am morally disappointed because I was not informed this when I made my order and was not told of this until now.

This is not the location that is closest to us, but this location has the best selection. We bought a dual LazyBoy recliner that was on sale. Very happy with the price and the recliner.MOST IMPORTANT, ask for Buster, hes great. He is a mature guy who has been in the furniture business forever. I purchased a living room set from here everything was fine I referred three people to the store which two of them purchase something from the store so I was supposed to receive two $50 gift card for referring them Ive been to the store three times to get the gift cards and the guy is never there. They blow me off every single time. Do not refer anyone to this store they do not honor their referral program at all. Go on wayfair they alot better

I know where I will make large, important purchases from now on. Good quality. Fair prices. Awesome people. No chain or big box store can compete with down home Hospitality. After being extremely patient, I’m repulsed with the countless issues that I’ve endured with the Suffolk, VA store for months. The store manager, Daniel, has given me many excuses, the run around, lied and has not followed through with making amends to resolve my issues in an effective manner!! There has been poor communication up until today when I’ve made initiative instead of waiting for calls that I never receive back. The poor customer service from the store manager even after contacting corporate has exhibited unprofessionalism & poor management skills. Along with having to pay for an item to make my defected bed comfortable, I’m being inconvenienced with last minute information that I’ve had to seek when things could’ve been established days prior. These situations have not resonated well with me and has/will result in deterrence of people I encounter interested in a professional business transaction. Although the staff were friendly, the negative characteristics of the store manager that I’ve witnessed isn’t a good reflection of Schewels’ brand!!

Just dont do it. These people will lie to you and try to sell you floor models for the same price as the new piece. I bought my furniture almost a month ago and I am STILL battling with them because they tried to sell me the floor model for the same price as a new piece. To make a long story short, they tried to screw me, but didnt get away with it. This place is terrible.

First time I came here, everything ran fairly smoothly. I live in Virginia beach so I called ahead to confirm that they had the chest I was looking for. They did. Delivery was $95 so I opted to pick it up. End of story Good experience.Second time shopping here will absolutely be my last. I called ahead to confirm that they had the nightstand to complete my set (Granted it was overpriced).The salesman rushed me off the phone because they were closing in 10 mins. He assured me they had the item I was looking for and told me to come in. So again I drive 45 mins out of my way because $100 for delivery is unreasonable. I get there and they tell me that the item was sold last night.So either the nightstand was sold 9 mins before closing or the salesman was negligent in telling me to come 45 mins out of my way to pick up a product they no longer had for sale. Then they demanded I pay immediately before they order another one.Will not be returning here.
