Hey Guys ... I have had good experiences overall here at Ace Hardware DC. Quick check in and out. Drop and hook. Very nice.The only issue I had was on this last load, the way the loaders secured the load was not good. In transit, the pallets fell over towards the door as the load strap was not placed sufficiently. Also, they put weighted, boxed lawn chairs on top of fragile glass items. Needless to say a number of those items were broke as well. I advised the receiving warehouse in Arkansas of the issue, took pictures of the disarray, and left a note for the unloaders as another driver came to help me secure and lay flat the falling pallets and freight.** Please double secure your loads before the employees seal the door. I know I will be doing that from now on. **Safe travels.

Ace is no different than Walmart, Target or Aldis when it comes to live unloading. Will NOT take you early. We all need to stop taking these big company loads until they get their acts together. They get too big, no real supervision on unionized/lazy employees.

Got here around 1240 and they were really loading me quickly at first. Now it seems like they load one pallet every 15-30 mins or so. Still haven’t left yet. Why set up appointment times if the shipment isn’t ready by then?

Terrible. If you have to pick up anything there I suggest you pack a lunch,snacks and dinner. There seems to be some disconnect with the shifts also. There is a lot of complaining about the day shifts from the evening shifts and you pay the price because it appears no one is doing their job.

I got to my appointment to pick up a drop & hook at 11:00 and they told me that it wasnt loaded yet they didnt get the trailer loaded until 18:00 and it looked like they just threw the load in I almost couldnt close the door!

Seem nice enough but definitely on the slow side for a live load..add a pallet every 20-30 minutes..why not schedule the pck up at a time when the entire load is ready so the driver is not wasting valuable time..id much rather come a hour or two later and get loaded all at once then be at a dock for 4-5 hrs and not have time left for driving.. My advice pack a lunch youll be ready for a meal before you get out of here.

Had to drop my trailer for 24-72 hrs. That caused me to be stuck from Tuesday to Friday.

Appointment 1300Arrival 1230Departure 1720Pitch a tent in their office and don’t believe for a minute that “we will call you when it’s loaded”

Worked there no good place to work I come in with a mask on then once u get in the back mask arent enforced I couldnt take the chance of some one been sick w cova 19 because the supervisor Burt was to busy to maintain safety, also he cut the water fountain off in the back of the warehouse so workers couldnt get water direct violation its amazing what they let this guy get away with fire him.

3 plus hours. Still getting loaded. Its a Friday people, I would like too head home today. Only reason they get 1 star is the shipping clerk was very polite.

Quick loading and nice lady in office

Dear truck drivers please don’t come here for a pick up if you don’t have fresh hours or a log book at least.I got here 11:am for a pick up and it’s 4:06 pm and still being loaded.Other drivers reviews are what helps me most and I hope that this will help another driver just to be ready for this nonsense.About the people working here are NOT friendly at all.There is a a tiny Pilot truck stop across the warehouse and they(this shipper) don’t have over night parking too.

Very bad management expeditors get their temporary people to do their job when work is slow they will fire you they look for stupid things to get rid of people and expect a whole lot of works with no pay compensate you then expeditors gets all the credit and benefits they dont know how to talk to people very un professional they treat you like a little child they work in a hazardous Zone and think they dont have to wear safety gear but expect its employees to in the Hazardous Zone they think they are better than you their actions speaks loud and clear would not recommend it for nobody
