And after my husband got it working then the check engine light came on, and I’m missing a lug nut so my tire shakes and it’s unsafe to drive. If you thinking about going here Just don’t.

Absolute best company to work with! I bought a car from Hailey nearly 10 years ago and when I went back last month, she was there to sell me another! They have always been willing to work with me if I need a few days to make a payment. I always recommend AFA to any of my friends or family who are looking for cars! They are the only dealership I know of where you are treated like family and they actually care.

If you like getting ripped off, this it the place. My car lasted a week and these guys would not help, just blew me off. Litigation is next for these clowns.

So if your getting your first car don’t get it from here. The car I got had a lot of trouble with it. Kept putting money towards it and it wasn’t even worth it. If you’re gonna have used cars on the lot at least have it in good condition. I hope someone sees this and takes my warning. May you see this as a warning and a blessing. I was able to get qualified here for a vehicle. Most other dealers denied my credit. I was very pleased with the sales reps, very helpful. I hope to do business with them.

They sold my fiance a lemon car and have done nothing but lie to us and basically steal from us my lawyer had been notified. A guy came in yesterday because of thier negligence his license is now suspended and not to mention the lady named Diane shes new I get it but shes rude and hateful and very disrespectful. They have different staff from when the vehicle was first purchased and it seems like the old staff took all the information with them or something. Belle is so unprofessional and hung up in my face once while discussing payments that were set up with an employee that doesn’t work there anymore. I was employed with american federal auto for around 6 months. It was a great opportunity to make a great paycheck, and I truly believe the owners care about their customers. However, if you are looking for a stable place to work then this place may not be for you. I was let go for basically over performing. I was hired to sell cars and I did what I was hired to do. Not only did the compensation plan change four time over a 6 month period but I went through 2 managers and seen 3 other sales people let go. You can make good money but you will consistently worry about being let go. I was also promised a letter of recommendation after being let go but it never came. If you are in a predicament where you need to utilize a buy here pay here dealership to buy a vehicle, then I would highly recommend purchasing at American federal auto. If you are looking for a stable career avoid at all costs. They will use you for your skill asset, then let you go with no warning. On the plus side Paul is probably one of the best managers I have ever had.

This place is a one stop con shop. The owners a serious conmen. They will tell you whatever you want to hear to make a sale.

Should be careful who you get into bed with. Sometimes its better to just take the time to boost your credit, and find a major dealership. Sometimes that short cut dealerships, will cost you more money then youll realize in the long run.

I need a referral to an attorney that specializes in illegal car repossessed vehicles. American Federal Auto has took my car when it broke down literally on the way home from cleaning one of their homes. I have cleaned the families homes, Rvs, cleaned for events, move outs and move ins, and every time they something cleaned I was there. I thought I was like family. I have been cleaning for them since 2016.Well, the family started going through major life changes and things got chaotic and Devon (owner) told me before he left the country that my account was at $6000 (good news) but that I was behind around $3000 behind on payments. Then proceeded to let me do $2136 worth of cleans from 6/3 to 8/20 ( which 8/20 is when my car broke down). So now that makes the balance less than $4000 now. I blindly trusted them and wasnt going to say anything about my doubts until I found my original paperwork. Well, I found it and I was never behind but actually almost a whole year ahead on payments. Ive tried communication on several occasions throughout everything (have proof). I even tried BBB. Nothing has worked so now I desperately need a lawyer for this open and shut case.Please, can someone send me to the right lawyer. Eternally grateful for any help.Well update it is now in the Attorney General of SC hands. Maybe now someone will hold them accountable for destroying my business and life.

I never knew a CO-SIGNER not having a license would disqualify a person from being able to buy a car. The co-signer is for credit purposes (but they dont even report to a credit bureau) and if the buyer falls behind on payments...and if thats not bad enough the vehicle they were trying to sell us for $5000 would not start without being jumped off, the low beams did not work and then when the salesman brought the vehicle around he mentioned it sounded like there was a loose strut. The only positive part of this encounter was Paul and Tyler. There were genuinely kind and tried to be helpful. Id like to think that they had better cars, but the pricing is probably ridiculous after considering the price of this vehicle with all the issues.

I purchased my 2014 Chevy from AFA a little over a year ago and they have truly been great to me! They are willing to work with you as long as you communicate with them! Even though I do miss some of the staff that are no longer with the company, I still enjoy the new staff! Belle is a doll and very professional! I have spoke to the owner plenty of times and he has been nothing but professional. They told me that my car would be paid off in 2 years and come this November IT WILL BE! I am still loving my car and def will be getting another car from AFA!

These people or thieves, stole my TV out of my car after it was repoed. Called them numerous times to get my items and was repeatedly told that the vehicle was not on the lot. Now all new people all of a sudden works there and the new ones know nothing of my personal items. You are not suppose to touch the property in the car with out reaching out to the owners. Im filing a police report on them also,by time I get done in they will not mess with any one else like this.

The gentleman was very prompt on helping us and knowledgeable by answering any questions we had and thoroughly went through each detail so we were in full understanding . Yes we did leave with a car . All around great service.

They promised to make certain improvements on the vehicle we chose and also gave us a 6 month warranty so we had some piece of mind that they do back up what they say. Wed recommend them for anyone looking for a vehicle, and would definitely consider coming back for a future purchase.

If you choose to do business with these scam artist make sure everything they promise you is is in writing and signed. The only good thing is they won’t penalize you if you choose to pay the car off early. The cons are they state a 80/20 warranty that isn’t in your contract which is why they aren’t in a rush in fixing your car,when it comes to fixing the car they wait for you to bring the car in in order to buy parts and they buy time by claiming your behind on payments/they’ve ran into complications. They do everything but provide decent transportation. It’s something they’ve been doing for years google it. They jack up the interest rate. Their goal isn’t to accommodate you,it’s to lock you in on ridiculous biweekly payments as your car problems mount hoping you will cop out of any remaining payments that way they don’t fix your car and keep your hard earned money. Their prey are people who can barely afford the payments because they know you can’t afford the cost of repair or upfront cost to settle any dispute you have.Don’t say you aren’t warned!! Do not waste your time!!! You will regret it. They thrive on this kind of drama.

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE AND THESE UNSAFE CARS!!! I bought a car and 2 days later I had a major safety issue that needed a repair. They would not fix it and would not even attempt to look at it without me paying $100 then wanted me to pay half of the repairs needed. They are easy to finance and quick to take your money but they do not care about their customers or their customers safety. All they are concerned with is the money they make off you. They are super friendly while you are making a purchase but it all goes down hill after the signing of the paperwork and keys in your hand. Paul was so derfum and kind. Too bad he works for such a company that will tarnish his reputation in the end.

I bought a car here first day started overheating I had it back the mechanic couldn’t figure out what was wrong tried pressure testing it with no air so I replaced a few things gave it back to them to check out turned out to be a head gasket they wanted to charge me $4000 for a new engine I do not recommend this place Unfortunately to make this post I had to give it a store or I would give it nothing

So first let me describe my overall experience with this car Lot for 1 I see now they offer a bumper to bumper warranty why because when your car needs to be serviced it will stay in there for weeks with lies of repairs and will put .You off, Ive purchased a truck from them with issue and was put off for 3weeks with no call backs and they recycle so many old high mileage vehicles Everytime I step into their office theres a customer complaining by far a bad experience all in all and the owners smile in your face but are the real artist .shop at your own risk .take it from me .

I only selected 1 star because it wouldnt give me the post option if I didnt. I wouldnt purchase here again. First they took my down payment and then had me sign a paper stating that the down payment is non refundable. Then they treated me like I was a child and told me that I didnt understand their way of stealing from me. They told me that they had a 80-20 warranty that is good for two years at $35.00 per month. When they printed the Bill of Sale, they added in $1, 695. Well Im not stupid nor am I a mathematician, but I know that 35 x 24 months (2 years) is $840.00. They told me that I didnt understand and said that the cost of the warranty would be for the length of the loan which is 4 years. So that meant that they wanted me to pay an extra two years for something that I wouldnt have. IM VERY FURIOUS BECAUSE NOW I AM STUCK WITH SOMETHING FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE THIEVES AND LIARS. The customer service at this lot is horrible. I never had to wait so long to be helped. I just brought my car on February 1 and already Ive had to take my car back twice to be looked at and this was all around the time my first payment was due. When I was about to leave off the lot with my car a lady had to come back after her purchased because her car started smoking!!! REALLY!! She just got the vehicle that same day!!! Something is wrong with that picture! I really feel like they do not care about their We CARE about YOU!! motto!!! It sucks to know that they are so money hungry and Im still here without a car because I have to wait for them to make a decision. I would not recommend anyone I know to buy a car from here!!!

Tried to tell me they recently replaced a motor in a f150 but didnt have any paperwork for it. Wanted 3000 down but there sticker on the trucks window said 1495 down. DO NOT SHOP HERE. THERE ARE OTHER BUY HERE PAY HERE LOTS THAT ARE HONEST AND WILL HELP YOU.

This place is ridiculous. When I bought my car back in August, two women were in the lobby advising me not to complete my purchase. I didn’t listen, thinking my experience wouldn’t be the same. Oh boy, why didn’t I take heed to their warnings?! My transmission went out 2 short months after getting the Pathfinder. They, have had my vehicle for a Month! A Month! Still, no resolution, they’re waiting on the part to come in. Oh and yes, the shop that it being repaired at, has an undisclosed location. I’m not allowed to know where the vehicle is (This is what tanya told me). Also, I can’t be placed in another vehicle while I await completed repairs, simply because that’s not in their policy. I’ve been paying for a rental out of pocket for the time that ive been without a car, and guess what they decided to do this morning? Deduct a car payment from my account! After they’ve been advised that I would not pay for a car, that I’m not able to know the location, neither the duration of the car repairs. I give up. American Auto makes the car buying process easy, however, once they reel you in, that’s it! I referred a friend here shortly after I purchased, I pray when she takes her car in for the clicking sound when she turns her wheel, she’s not put in the same position that I’m in.

I received full cooperation and patience with this company. None of the employees were pushy or shot. Everyone did real well with getting me on the road. I will definitely refer people to AFA. Thank you so much.

This place is ridiculous. I bought a car from them about a year ago and they always have new people working there that doesn’t know anything. I was told when I first got my car that I could trade in anytime with no problem they would help me. I’ve had my car for a year and I had to do so much work to it and when I first bought it they had to jump it to start and they said they fixed what needed to be fixed but it was still having problems. James who works there now is soooo horrible. His attitude was soooo bad when I walked in, he didn’t want to help me at all. I wanted to see if I could trade in and he basically told me the car I got from THEM wasn’t worth anything and I had to pay my car off AND give them a down payment for another car. This place is just horrible all together I always feel like I’m being lied to and scammed when I’m there. DO NOT GO HERE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT GOING HERE.

As a Ex afa employee I honestly feel we could done a better job with out customers, we avoid allot of customers cubecause most of our Cars were Lemons, on a daily basis we were swamped with calls and sometimes visit about issues. If looking for fast quick money Afa is Def the job for you. Long-term is not the way I was employed for 5 months and seen 3 sales people let go and 2 sales manager as for myself ..I was Over preforming, my job was to sell cars and the manager approves but according to the Owners I had a high repo rate, since when do salesman handle collection?. Upon first arrival the employees appear to be very friendly and they seem like they genuinely want to help you. Unfortunately we desperately needed a vehicle and we made a poor choice to choose American Federal Auto. We bought a Jeep that had 4 bald, dry-rotted tires (which is illegal to sell in such a state) but we were tricked into signing papers that consented to this state of the tires. There are so many things mechanically wrong with the vehicle that its mind-boggling. Please, if youre in the market for a new vehicle, do not waste your money here.

Beyond disappointed in the service I received today. After driving to Summerville to purchase a vehicle, I was assured that having the title paperwork sent to my home in Beaufort would be no problem. After waiting over a month, my title has still not been received and although it was sent out-after that point it is no longer American Federal Autos responsibility to make sure it arrived here (which it hasnt) After several phone calls, I finally got in touch with Sherri today, who told me it is now my responsibility to purchase a new title ($60) and register the vehicle instead of transferring the information like I initially agreed to. I should not be punished just because the information I needed was not sent to me. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service. I will not be returning to American Federal Auto to purchase another vehicle.
