This store is a good choice. I chose the Summerville location after my surgeon recommended this store, and after I had called the Mt. Pleasant location to ask what they offer for anyone needing more supportive shoes while healing from a fracture. The girl in Mt. Pleasant who answered the phone didnt have a clue and couldnt speak to anything in their inventory that would be a helpful option. She literally told me, I really dont know much about it. Sorry I cant be more helpful. I can understand not wanting to give out medical advice, but nobody asks for medical advice from a store clerk, and my surgeon told me everything I needed to know. Americans do not think anymore.So I dock one star because it looks like there is mutual ownership between the locations, and yet this is a customer service issue with one of their employees.But this Summerville location was great and really attentive/one-on-one, which is a courtesy it looked like they give to all of their customers. The guy Alex was able to help me right when I walked in, using their foot scanner, and had three ideas of shoes to start with that could help with my issue and what my surgeon told me I needed moving forward. They offer a 60-day return policy, which surprised me, and I look forward to seeing how my new pair works out and will help my foot to at least stay secure while it continues to heal (pun intended). If all goes well, I am hoping to go back and look for a second pair.
Great experience! Went in there to get my feet scanned for the first time ever, learn about my feet measurements and select the best fitting shoe for my feet and Alex was a pleasure to work with! He help me understand all the different measurements and provided great shoe recommendations, which felt amazing when tried them on! I am waiting on my shoes to be delivered since they didnt carry the color I wanted in stock, but I will for sure become a regular of that store and will probably be joining their free Monday runs, which Alex brought up to my attention when I told him I planned to run my first marathon next year!THANKS ALEX!

First time visitor and new resident of Summerville SC. Found FFS using a Google search for running/walking shoes near me. Saw the usual players but have always been a supporter of local businesses. After reading about the FFS and all the glowing reviews it made perfect sense to visit and so I did. Sarah H. was patient, explained their approach, was very informative and simply awesome. She took me through their process, listened attentively to my responses and guided me to my final decision on a pair of sneakers, I had to wear out if the store. I came here for the second time about 2 months ago to get shoes and start running after recovering from foot surgery and had another great experience. Justin was awesome, I probably tried 10 pairs of shoes before coming to the ones I bought and he was engaged and friendly the entire time. I dont think Ill go anywhere else for running gear again.

Man, I just had a great experience!Short background, Ive had multiple toe surgeries on my left foot and they hurt all the time. I wear orthotic inserts for the cushion under my feet are gone. I went in, I was assisted immediately, my feet were measured and I was able to get a pair of shoes that feel great. Feels great! Great service! I will be a repeat customer! Thank you

The staff was excellent. After 3 weeks the tread started coming off the shoe, took them back and the staff replaced them with no questions asked. Will buy my work shoes from them again in the future.

Came in just to get some insoles for my steel toes for work. Shannen was amazing. Listened to what problems I had (plantar fasciitis) and what I would be doing (walking on concrete all day). I have been running on various versions of Brooks Dyad for 11 years and I wanted to start running again. I had surgery on my foot and so I had to make sure my shoe size was the same. I have to admit I was worried buying a different shoe other than Brooks. I bought a pair of Hoka One Ones and I am very pleased. The service is very good, they listen to the details of what you are doing and preferences. I havent been this pleased with a running store since 2007! Thank you!

They also have a 3D foot scanner that will Email you the exact dimensions of your feet to use to pick out the right shoe for your foot type. If you’re a novice runner to an expert, this store is the store for you. They also have “birthday” deals or other promotions that give you 15 dollars off of your purchase pretty often.

I love the foot scanner! I have big wide feet that are hard to fit. The young lady that helped me was very knowledgeable and found they perfect shoes for my 11.5 wide feet that are actually in a pretty feminine color. Amazing experience. They scanned my feet, test-fit several inserts, and when I found the right ones they cut and installed them. This cost $5 less than if Id gone to a nearby big-box sporting goods store, and I ended up with a different (better fitting) set than Id expected.

I purchased wave rider running sneakers plus an orthotic and used them for tread mill walking and they started hurt. I called the store and was told that they cannot exchange them without additional cost. As it was a paid $200.00. I will not be going back and I will be telling all my friends in Cane Bay about this terrible experience.I was not satisfied with answer so I called the GM and he was very nice and will be exchanging the sneakers that hurt my feet for another pair that will fit properly.

Buying shoes can be quite a tedious experience, but not with Fleet Feet Sports Summerville! They were incredibly kind, and patient. They took the time to do measurements, watch how we walk, even use a roller on our calves as they could see the tension in them as we walked. They took into account our activities and the stability needed, they let us walk around in the shoes we were trying on and do lunges etc. They were so helpful and friendly. It was a great experience, and I would highly recommend this store.

Went into the store today and was helped by Sarah. The staff at the store was very knowledgeable and helped me pick out a pair of running shoes and inserts. She was able to help me identify what would help me with my flat feet and tightness I get on the bottom of my feet. Store returned my wifes shoes that she has had for a week because they were bothering her and got her fitted for another pair. Great Customer service, will definitely return.

Out standing customer service at the Summerville location. They helped me get the perfect shoe for my wide feet and while doing this he helped me fix an issue I was having with my calf. 3 doctors couldn’t fix my calves but after he used the rollers on them they finally released and my run was almost immediately fixed. I will not buy shoes anywhere else.

I see why Fleet Feet has so many 5 star reviews. I took the advice to get there right when they opened (no wait) and received 5-Star Service. For someone with flat feet, feeling pain daily I felt this would be worth the trip. Not sure about the shoes yet but I have high hopes! Everything they provided was fantastic. Never felt pushed to buy anything. Got what I needed.
