The tension spring on my garage door failed and my garage door was stuck open. I called All About Garage Doors on a Monday got scheduled for the follow Thursday. Larry called me lawyer Monday afternoon and said he could move me to Tuesday due to some installer’s schedule changes. He assured me the person coming would have everything for the tensioner conversion. Fast forwarding to Tuesday, the repair person arrived on time looked at my garage and told me he didn’t have the part that he’d need to run back to the shop and get it then he’d return to fix it. 2 hours later Larry calls me and tells me the they had to order the part and I’d have to get rescheduled late Wednesday. I ended up canceling and going with another company.

Darrell came out and made an assessment of the situation, ordered the right opener to fit our low profile garage, and got it installed all within just a couple of days. The service was great and the price was reasonable! We have saved the AAGD phone number to our phones in case of future garage door issues.

My garage was 3 ft under water during the 1000 year flood and ruined my wooded garage door in October 2015. Hurricane Matthew was the final straw a year later, and I saw one of the installers in my neighborhood and asked him for his business card. Robert showed up within 24 hours of my call, and he understood my predicament and worked with me on replacing the rotten doors. Great honest pricing! Came out within the next 3 days, the woman in the office was able to give me a price over the phone (I measured the door for her to give me a price). They installed a new spring/converted the spring of the door. (We had an outdated model) and installed my new garage door opener/programmed the door with me. I had someone come out the day I called ‘All about garage doors’ and quote me a price 300 dollars more!!! Very pleased with the service, the conversation over the phone, and of course the price!

I went to this place to purchase a shed on 7/7/20. I was told that a guy would come out to my home and verify the method needed to place the shed in my yard. They said he would come by on Monday since this was Friday. He never showed and I called in on Wednesday to see if I just missed him. They told me to call him...??? Really??? I will never do business with these people. The lady Danielle in the office agreed a while cup of water on me and didnt even apologize or anything. The owner should be ashamed to call it a business. None of my friends or family will support your business!

Technician Jesse made a service call to fix the sensor that I had disconnected before the latest hurricane threat and then couldn’t get to work. He was actually early for the appointment (!!); the office had called to see if that was okay with us.He was knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, personable, and able to teach me how to avoid creating this problem again. Jesse arrived early for my 2:30 appt. He knew exactly how to fix the problem. We discuss upgrading the springs and he had them on the truck. Picture this: FRIDAY MORNING 4am before your 4:30am shift; GARAGE DOOR WON’T OPEN TO RELEASE YOUR CAR. Emergency release isn’t working as you anticipated. That was my dilemma. 8am after contacting 2 other companies that had no technicians available until Tuesday, Makalay answered my call and promptly scheduled me for same day service. They were scheduled very tight but she had compassion for my situation. Travis was a dream come true. Thorough, professional, courteous, and attentive. And I was more than happy to pay the affordable price they quoted. He had the job done in time for me to begin my weekend. I tried to support a locally owned business and ended getting the run around. It took 8 weeks to get one of the garage doors working. They sent me an invoice 2 times requesting payment while the job was incomplete. The only time I got someone out to attempt to finish the job was when I called them sometimes multiple times. After all the visits the garage door is off center by about 1.5 inches but is finally opening closing good. I really hope I do not need any warranty work as I do not trust their technical ability.Update. More great service. They did not pull permits therefore I have had to delay final inspection. When I called them to ask who pulls permits they told I need to. When I went to pull permits the county told me that they need to pull permits. I called AAGD again and the rocket scientist on the phone told me that they are supposed to pull permits but when I called they thought I was talking about a car port!!!!! Car port???? I will never use this company again and will share this story with everyone.

Pretty good exp. He came whem he said he would. They were the omly company to actually answer phone. They charge 100 for coming out. So my bill was 108. They fix it in 10 min. Pretty routine.

When my existing garage door broke, I went to see these guys. They had a great price on a total replacement including installation. They were on time and did a great job. My experience with Google reviews is this: the only ones you can count on to be REAL are the lesser stars and less glowing reviews. People arent going to fake those and the negative, REAL reviews will not be solicited by the owner. I urge you to scan all reviews here for the 1-star reviews, read those, then notice how they get covered up with a rash of glowing 5-star reviews .... some with similar wording. The wording of a review can also be a clue to a solicited review, one the owner of a business has asked someone to do. Two reviews in a row that start off with the same words is another clue, coached by the owner. MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS BUSINESS: for months I could get no answer. I only pursued this company because Id recently bought the house and found a receipt the seller left from a service call and thought it would be best to use the same guy, Robert, the owner of All About Garage Doors. He had also installed this door opener just last year for the previous owner and I had been having ongoing issues with it. Eventually I just quit trying to get an answer to my phone calls and shelved my needs for the time being. Yesterday, the door was stuck in the open position and the light wouldnt go off, so I couldnt wait any longer. This time the owner, Robert, finally answered but was reluctant to be bothered. Then he got very rude, admitted his wife of so many years constantly complained, too, about this very thing. I had to finally be very frank with him about, it put me off that much. I suspect it is the way he speaks to women, not men. Disrespect. I have built 4 homes, 2 without a contractor, subing them out myself. So Ive encountered just about everything. I was actually surprised when he said hed come to fix my door opener at 3:30. When he got here, he was even worse. This man does not intend to let a woman speak. The only way I could was by eventually raising my voice in order to hold my own when he butt in to drown ME out. I wont hire someone who disrespects a woman this much. I certainly wont hire someone who will not even listen to the facts regarding the door issues I have had since buying this house. These are the things he needs to know before he can even get started on the problems. As he ran his mouth, he was disconnecting wires and also disconnected the sensors at the door. Said the blinking lights were sending a code, that this is typical, but he did not know what this particular code meant and would have to call the manufacturer. This is as far as he got, as it only took a few minutes for me to know Id have to call someone else, and we mutually parted ways. He did not even reconnect the wires hed dismantled. Im no young chick. I am in my 60s and have encountered all kinds, but this guy takes the cake in rudeness and non-stop running his mouth with it. It interferes with getting down to business. I called another company, concerned my door would be stuck open all night long and my belongings stolen during the night. Concerned because it was now late afternoon, I was thrilled that the phone was answered immediately and that a guy who was working in the area already would be able to come within half an hour. I got no disrespect from this man. He listened to what I told him about the issues Id been having. He never cut me off to drown me out. He quickly re-connected all the wires the AAGD owner had disconnected and promptly fixed the multiple problems Id been experiencing with the door opener and the wall button by my entrance door. He did NOT have to call the manufacturer about the code the blinking lights sent to get the opener operating again. He replaced the wall switch that had stopped working months ago, too. All this in less than half an hour and my door was back down for the night. Any problems in the future, I now know who to call.

PLEASE, dont waste your time with this company! They show up late, if at all. I have been off work twice now for them to come to my house and complete work and have wasted two days! I originally called and asked for someone to come out and do work. I was told a guy would be out in about 10 days I ensured it would be to fix and not just estimate. I was told her would give me an estimate and if it was acceptable, he would complete the work that day. Well, he came an hour late. When he got here he said there was no way he could do the work that day, but he took pictures, a deposit (i know, I know), and said the company would call to schedule a repair time. Well 8 days latter, I finally called. They acted like they knew nothing about the first visit, so i was told the office manager would call back in a little bit. She finally did call back, was no more knowledgeable than the first person I talked to. She did schedule a time for the work, about 10 days later. Well, I am here and they are not! I just called and they said they see nothing scheduled for my address. I was also told the owner, Robert Gatch is never in the office. She did not make any attempt to find out what was going on and to reschedule. What a waste!!!!!

All About Garage Doors showed up on time, assessed my problem, didnt try to oversell me and facilitated obtaining the worn out opener belt free via warranty and solved my problem in the lowest cost option. Previously, when I was in a bind, their sales rep showed up within 30 minutes, had a new 1/2 hp Chamberlain on his truck, installed it and tutored on remoteless entry. This took a total of 90 minutes and $350 turn key. Id only go with Robert Gatch and AAGD in the Charleston, SC, area. Friendly, super-competent tech folks AND THEY WILL NOT RIP YOU OFF.

I had a brand new garage door installed and they left a piece of the set that caused the garage door opener to be to much for the door and the door was damaged. The piece that was left off was Operating Reinforcing Bracket. I called them out to look at it. No warranty and they had the nerve to tell me that my opener was to powerful for my door. Yeah, because you installed improperly.
