Absolutely loved this place! Beautifully organized and the plants are very healthy. Love all of the different varieties they have available and their areas are labeled (thats right, no wandering aimlessly looking for plant types- unless thats just how you shop for plants). Truly is a one stop shop for most of your landscaping needs. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. Hubby and I went specifically for Hibiscus bushes but will definitely come back for more soon! (PS the Hibiscus have been blooming since we got them! Some of the healthiest plants I have purchased in the area)

Cant decide if the selection is better than the service. WOW! Not only is the staff friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, but the selection here is pretty spectacular.Be prepared to walk! Spacious is a word that comes to mind, and everything is arranged so well... like youre walking through someones beautifully arranged garden. Theyre available for photo sessions, and there are lots of gorgeous scenes that can be used as backdrops.

Flowertown Garden Center is not only serene, peaceful, and absolutely gorgeous, but the owners and staff obviously put their heart into the care and maintenance of the grounds and plants. They put that same care into assisting you with your selections whether it be outdoor plants, houseplants, planters, decor or even just mulch. Charlene is a gem and was able to answer all my questions. She maneuvered the aisles of plants and almost magically popped up with everything I wanted to see, planting and care info, and the price/selection was much better than what I saw at the big box store. I do not have a green thumb but I left feeling very confident about my purchases and new garden’s plan!

We pulled into the parking lot and right as we got out my truck, I was greeted by Charlene. She helped me get the right plant I needed with a pot that matches my outside decor. She was extremely helpful and very friendly!

I was soo surprised after driving in to find what was there. The different areas and theme with the different cottages. The plants and varieties of statues and fountains are amazing. I was asked several times by different peoples whether I was ok, needed help finding everything or if I had any questions.

Gorgeous place and helpful staff! This place is so beautiful that you could take your girl here for a date lol.The staff stopped to ask me several times if they could help me, they eagerly answered my questions and eventually I bought three small Japanese maples.They also had a good selection of tomatoes and peppers although Id prefer they had a better selection of sweet peppers like Carmens, Shishito, etc.Fantastic people running a fantastic nursery.

Customer service was not good. Asked How much does your mulch cost per yard? I was given a price... How much would 7 yards be... as I was about to say delivered. The receptionist says 7x and laughed. Professionalism, business owners and consumers alike deserve good customer service.

This place provided us with a hand drawn toddler-like drawing as a proposed yard design. It was awful. We paid $50 basically for nothing. When we let the owner know about how unprofessional and juvenile looking the proposed yard design was she defended the drawing submitted and the estimate for $2,300 saying some other places charge hundred s of dollars for such estimates like that. That of course did not address our issue.

Wow! I just found Flowertown Garden Center yesterday and met Charlene and Paul, what a wonderful nursery! The quality of the trees and shrubs is outstanding, the layout and design is charming, and I can’t say enough about the customer service. I have been a customer of Hyams on James Island for 30+ years, know the owner and love the place. But, the prices have become too rich for my blood. Charlene offers high quality products but prices them so that the average person can create a beautiful landscape for their own home. I will now be doing all my business with Flowertown Garden Center. As a matter of fact, I bought three trees and six shrubs yesterday and I’m going back today to get a more! I strongly recommend looking at Flowertown Garden Center before you make your final purchases elsewhere. I promise you will be pleasantly surprised and very pleased.

This is truly the most beautiful garden center weve ever been to. Basically a cultured garden in its own right, with beautiful trees, plants, fountains and yard accessories for sale as you tour a beautiful space. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff (but run by small team, so may have to wait when really busy). Will be my go to nursery from here on out.

I was looking for a place that wasnt just plants set up for sale on racks. A place to actually see what the possibilities were with how plants could look in garden settings. This place was so beautiful, you walk through the paths totally enclosed by plants, beautiful fountains, statues, and pergolas. Bringing the perception of actually walking through a forrest or the tropics.The different little houses placed throughout are like little fairy houses filled with goodies, like treats at the end of the path. The green house had amazing finds like hoya carnosa compacta, hoya tricolor, philodendrons, pothos, monsteras, and so much more.Everything about the place was peaceful and just so mind clearing. You will totally forget you are in the city of Summerville (if you block out the sound of cars which isnt hard to do if you love plants!) The service was so friendly. I will be coming back. If you love nature and are a plant junkie this is a little place to check out, you wont be disappointed.

Half the flowers and scrubs they planted died!!! Girlfriend of owner that works there is rude!!!! Very over- priced!!! They changed out my sprinkler box for a cheaper one and did not ask/tell me!!!! That’s a sign of a ripoff company!!!!! Bench delivered was sitting upside down in the back of the truck and the guy slides it off the truck... the seat is scratched and bench is chipped!!!!!

I have shopped with Paul and Charlene since the center opened. I continues to evolve with arches, pergolas and fountains. During all that has been going on during the Coronavirus they remained open to provide a respit outside for people to have a positive experience and forget about the problems of the world.The staff is friendly and knowlegable and they treat each customer as though they are special. I wouldnt shop anywhere else and I especially like to support local businesses. Keep up the great work..

My mom and I love this place! Great people that own it. The selection is amazing and every year they have added to it. It just gets better and better.

Flowertown garden center is first class, we have been going there since they opened. You cant beat their assortment of planets and trees and statuary. I would recommend you making a trip there, you will be surprised by what they have. Paul is always helpful and everyone working there will always answer your questions. They are one of the best garden centers in the Charleston area and we will continue using them.

Love buying our plants here. The staff is very knowledgeable, perfessional, and friendly. They will spend time talking with you and help you understand the plants you are interested in. Their prices are very reasonable as well. I highly recommend that you check them out for your flower garden needs.

My husband and I went in looking for good quality compost and topsoil for our new raised garden beds. We were pleasantly surprised by how helpful and knowledgeable the staff was, unlike some employees you find at your big box stores. They have a wonderful selection of native plants, shrubs and trees. We will definitely be returning for all of our gardening needs!

Been calling everyday multiple times a day for 4 days in a row, not a single ANSWER over 4 days. Its the first week of spring! You would think someone would be prepared to answer the phone. Wont waste my time coming if they dont even care to take a phone call.Response to Owners Reply: This is not the case for other nurseries in the area, especially over a 4 day span; every other nursery I called answered the phone the first time I called. I even just called and still, no answer.

Flowertown has an amazing selection and even better customer service! I know nothing about plants so I seeked help. The associate asked me about where the plant will be placed, more specifically, the amount of sun exposed, soil type, and how frequently it will get water. After I answered the questions she showed me 5-6 trees that she believes would work best for me. My tree is thriving and I could not happier!

I love the incredible garden pathway set up! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They specialize in native species that will thrive in our local environment. A fabulous place to shop & I highly recommend it!

I must admit I have an addiction to buying plants, but my favorite spot in the Lowcountry is at Flowertown Garden Center. They always have something unique that also does well in our planting zone. They have a large selection of different varieties of hydrangeas and azaleas, along with other bushes and native specimens.

Ive been going here for about 6 years, the selection is fantastic and the plants look very nice and healthy, typically bigger than what you get at Lowes and Home Depot. They also carry plant varieties not seen in the big box retailers. The price points are honestly not much more than what you pay at the big box stores and if they are, WHO CARES! Im happy to pay slightly more to shop local! Its better for the Summerville economy, the money stays in town and benefits the friendly, hard working, knowledgeable staff who maintain the grounds. Speaking of which, sometimes I go there just to explore the grounds, its designed like a fantasy garden you find in Briton...with a lil southern charm.
