Summit hills florist owner Karen is definitely an undertaker and thief I purchased roses and they looked as if she recycled them from someones funeral burial and she argued that they were fresh the delivery time was like taking a trip to North Dakota on foot please do not patronize her business unless you just like giving away money

I ordered the Pink and white in vase as shown for my recently bereaved mother, however the bouquet arrived without the vase as shown. When I called to query why the order was partially delivered, I spoke with Karen and was met with total abuse over the phone. Karen claimed that the price points will fluctuate, depending on the week (comparing it to oil/gas prices).If you list a fixed price point online, charge for it and under-deliver - that is called theft.If the product is unavailable - do NOT let the order go through and do not charge the Credit card. Simple.This website is not secure, and the staff could do with a lesson in running a business.

As with other displeased customers, dealing with Karen and Summit Hills Florist was a nightmare. I ordered flowers and emphasized that she must call to see if my friend was home to accept the delivery before creating the arrangement. Instead, she placed a floral arrangement at my friends door in 90 degree heat. When my friend returned home a day later, the flowers were dead. Karen agreed to redeliver and failed to do so. Karen even disputed the credit card company reversal. Luckily, we had photos and records of phone calls. I dont know how she is still in business.

Karens treatment of her employees is a disgrace. She pulled a bait and switch, promising one hourly rate then switching the amount to a lower rate, AFTER the work was completed. It turned into an ordeal, the labor board had to be contacted over less than $200.00. Then after several weeks of back and forth, she paid me with a check in 2 different colors of ink, extending the ordeal. During this time she was talking non stop about purchasing a Louis Vuitton diaper bag for her grandchild. On the flip side, she allows brides to pay in cash thus avoiding taxes which is a win win for all!

Normally I dont write reviews, but I was just so pleased with Summit Hills Florist. I needed a centerpiece last min, and called up. I got Karen who is the Owner/Floral Designer? she was so nice, genuinely sweet, she knew her stuff. Im not good with flowers but I had an idea of what I wanted. Karen not only did an amazing job, she exceeded my expectations!! Even my fiance mentioned hed never seen such nice arrangement, you know guys usually just dont get that kind of stuff. We will be returning, this time for our wedding!!

We chose this florist because the owner has known my daughter for several years. At first, we were happy with the attention we were given in describing what we needed, but as the date drew nearer and I tried to reach the owner of the shop to reconfirm (it had been several months since our meeting), she didnt return my calls and I began to have misgivings. The people in her shop seemed to know nothing about our order and, in fact, told us that the flowers were going to be delivered to my daughters apartment in North Plainfield vs. where the event was scheduled to take place in East Hanover. I ended up hounding the woman with phone calls until she finally returned one and told me the order was fine. Came the day of the wedding, she delivered boutonniers (sp?) labeled grandfather (there were no grandfathers, by the way), but the number was correct. What ticked me off was that I called her 3 times to let her know she didnt deliver rose petals for the flower girl - she never called me back.

I just received flowers from Summit Hills Florist. I am very disappointed. The flowers look like they will be dead in a day or two. When I called to let the florist know, she was very rude. She refused to acknowledge that the service was late and the flowers were old. Do not use this florist!!
