Ive had Action work on electrical and plumbing at my previous jobs as well as electrical, plumbing and heating and air conditioning in my home. Not once have I had a bad experience through the years. Each time I have had questions the person doing the job has answered in a very straightforward manner. I recommend action to anyone at any time

Installed water heater on 7/31/20 (date in picture). They came to inspect today charge $125 to tell me it has faulty gas valve that the manufacturer knows about now. Will not replace for free because they say it is not under warranty and never called me back to explain why that cant figure something out for me. My wife and I had just got back from the hospital with a newborn and I explained I need hot water for my family.The plumber was friendly that stopped but the management did not follow through. Would not use again simply because they dont stand behind their products, warranties, and just didnt do the right thing.

Our main sewer connection from the house to the septic system became clogged. Action was able to respond within 24 hours. Matt came and helped troubleshoot the issue with his helper. They determined there were roots from my tree blocking the drain flow on the pipe. They were able to clear it out and I was back in business. Matt was great at offering advice on how to manage the situation in the future to avoid a similar experience. His knowledge and experience were very evident during the whole experience. This was the third time weve used Action at our house for various fixes (Trey had come previously, he is great too) and they will remain the only place Ill call when I have issues at my house. They are top notch techs with reasonable rates. Highly recommended! Thank you Action!!

I had my garbage disposal replaced. I never noticed until the repair person stood up, he wasn’t wearing a mask. I said something to him about that and he replied “does that bother you?”. REALLY…. No mask, no booties and no gloves. I called the company and his manager was going to speak with him.

Matt and Jacob (the apprentice) gave me a courtesy called before they came. Matt promptly replaced our leaking garbage disposal. They were very efficient and asked if I needed anything else done. I asked if they could look at my leaking toilet and Matt repaired it quickly. They were very kind, and personable and explained everything they were doing. The payment process went extremely well.I would recommend this company and especially Matt to my friends and neighbors. It’s so comforting to know Action is a very good company to call!

Very rapid response! We discovered our water heater was leaking on Monday night. I called at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. By 10:30 the old water heater was removed, the new one was installed, and the hot water was restored. The plumber did a great job and was very professional and easy to work with. The cost might have been a little higher than some others might have charged, but the 24 hour availability, the fact that they had what I needed in stock and ready to go, and the rapid response made it worthwhile.

$118 for a service call that took 5 minutes is unreasonable. I understood this as if the call took 30 minutes it was $118. Be careful and I would suggest other options especially if you know the service call wont take long. 3 star instead of 1 because the service guy (Dan) was very nice.

My service was actually cleaning up and preparing my valves for a new washing machine. When I called late on Tuesday a service took my information and asked me if I wanted an emergency service. I declined and they were still able to get me on their schedule in the morning two days later. Paul was very personable and efficient.

Action has performed multiple repairs for us over 10 years, at two different homes. Theyve always been on time, professional, and efficient.We feel were being charged a fair price for the work they do, and we appreciate that they take the time to explain what likely caused the problem and go through anything we can do ourselves to prevent future issues.

Matt did some hose connections for us. He had to remove the old and install the new x2. He was very quick. To get the old out he had to cut through vinyl siding, which is scary to approve, but he did PERFECT work and you can not see that any changes were made! We were very happy with his work.

This place was great! I will absolutely use them again and recommend them to our family nearby! Our basement pipe had a leak that was delaying our DIY renovations and they came the very next day and finished the job in under an hour! They were on time, extremely friendly and courteous, answered all my questions and even showed me how to winterize the pipe to prevent this issue in the future! Even better was the pricing was a good bit lower than all the other quotes!

Action was really great to work with. Rodney and Chad came to do the work at our home for a basement remodel. The whole process took about a weeks from the evaluation for the estimate for the installation. It took 2 days die the install. Rodney didn’t miss a thing! He made sure that all pieces were finished that are required for inspection. They flotilla care of shutting of the electricity, the permitting, inspections....everything. They did a really nice job. The guys were professional, cleaned up when they were finished and did a really nice job of running our new lighting! Thanks so much!!

My wall heating and cooling unit was not cooling. I disassembled it myself prior to Actions arrival (to save time and money) Action guy literally did nothing other than look at it and about 20 min in he calls LG (I provided to him). After being on hold for 10 min, which just happened to make my visit over 30 min, so guy could charge a full hour; he hangs up (LG didn’t even answer) and says there is nothing he can do, but install a new unit. So I pay up $135 for his “efforts” and he will be in touch. Two days later (middle of summer, with a dog, I have to call them because nobody called me. The guy had no idea what I was talking about and offered to ‘call me back’. Well over another 24 hours, no call back, so again I have to call. The “boss” again has no clue who I am and insists to sell me a cooling Only unit. WTH do they expect me to do for a WI winter?! In the end they basically robbed me of $135, lost a future customer (hopefully more now and word of mouth) and get this brutally honest review for the public to read. Go elsewhere!

I know that timing is a challenge given that you cannot assess a job until you actually get to see what is involved. Action did call to tell me when the plumber was en route. The work was done well and we have a new hot water heater. It was expensive but worth it. I do wish we could have gotten an itemized bill at the time of the service. Advice to customers is to try and schedule your appointment early in the day as possible.

Paul was so capable and efficient—he solved all of our plumbing problems in record time.

Chad came to help with my AC not cooling. It was an easy fix that I could have avoided by either knowing the correct maintenance or calling for a seasonal check by the pros. Chad explained all the maintenance items and what to look for if this happens again. He didn’t make me feel silly for the questions I asked and answered them kindly and throughly. Thank you Chad and the Action team.

Service Tech Trey was very courtious in answering my questions and explaining what parts had been cleaned on our water heater to get it properly working.

The service tech arrived on time and went to work quickly and obviously new his profession well. He diagnosed the problem quickly and had the part he needed on the truck. Very satisfied with the work.

Did solid work at a fair price. The got us in the schedule very quickly.

Disposal install was done quickly and well. Also given lots of valuable advice and guidance on what future projects may look like for us.

My outdoor faucet was leaking beyond use and now it’s working correctly. Paul also checked the other two outdoor faucets. No problem.

Action lives up to their name, we had a water heater problem, and Troy identified the problem, fixed it, and helped us make a claim through the warranty. I called a couple places and they responded significantly faster. Goofy trucks, but awesome service.

This company may be a bit more on the pricey side ($75/hr per plumber) but they put in very good quality work, are reliable, and have an on-call service that actually picks up the phone! I went with them for a clog in the drains under my home and they did complete the job well 🥳where other plumbers would not return my call or ditched me all together.😡 We will be using action plumbing for all those pesty plumbing issues!

The service tech that came out from Action was very nice. However, we paid $200 for 15 minutes of his time to tell us he didnt know why we were having issues as well as him not being able to figure out why we had a large puddle of water in our utility room caused by a leak of some sort. Seeing how Action installed all of the utilities, it would be nice to know what is leaking and to have the leak stopped. It felt like a lot of money to have absolutely no answers to any of our issues.

Prompt service and knowledgeable. A week after performing routine maintenance on our AC it stopped working (things happen). They came out the next day fixed the issue and only charged as though it was part of the original visit. I have use Action for my home as well as our rental property.

Called Action on Monday to have someone come out to service our old gas fireplace that was rumbling when the fan came on. They were able to have someone out in 2 days. My fireplace fan is now running quietly, so I will be able to sit and enjoy it while we have some cold months left! Excellent service and would definitely use them again.

We recently purchased a light fixture for our dining room and had contacted two other electricians and did not receive any return calls. Having Action do work for us in the past, we realized that Action does electrical work. We called them and they came and installed it the same day. Rodney and Austin installed it in a professional and timely manner. Now that we know that Action does electrical work, we would not hesitate to use them again.

I scheduled an appointment with them between 8 and 12, they never called before 12:30pm. I had to reschedule because I had to leave to work. This time they showed up way earlier than scheduled. They never asked if I need them to put on masks or take off their shoes. After working for half hour, 15 minutes of which was spent looking cluelessly at the ventilation system, and ask me to go up and down stairs to shut off and turn on cooling zones, they figured nothing is wrong with the system. They charged me for 45 minutes though their total time since they hit the drive way till they left was 40 minutes.The dampers on my ventilation system continued to malfunction, I decided to call Harker Heating and Cooling. The person showed up late, apologized for being late and took off his shoes without prompting. Took one look at my ventilation system and ran a full diagnostic within 20 minutes and figured out that 2 dampers where malfunctioning and needed replacement. He also did another small thing to keep the basement from over cooling and told me what to look for in the next few days. After this experience I really dont recommend action plumbing at all, will never call them for anything again.

We had our one toilet overflow and flood our bedroom. I called Action and hot an immediate response. They were at my home within 45 minutes to 1 hr. of me calling. Got right to work trying to figure out the problem, and once they knew what it was figured out a solution. They did have to come back the next day to finish, but so far I am happy with the work that was done and I hope to count on Action if need be in the future.

Had them perform a simple electric procedure. Install undercabinet lights which all wires were previously polled and lights were purchased. Install three outlets, all wires were previously polled. The tech was there for about an hour and a half had a trainee with him. Both very friendly. 700+ dollars wow didn’t see that coming

Just needed drain plug fixed on old tub and said if we wanted anything done all pipes would have to be changed and kitchen ceiling torn apart below. Edited to add: Action Plumbing reached out to us and heard us out and came to a plan that allowed them to do the work and although there were a few discoveries during the project, the plumber was very proactive in letting us know what was going on and the implications and how that changed the construction process. I was so grateful for their over-communication and their thinking outside of the box to get the job done and to get it done correctly. We will definitely use them again for future plumbing projects.My husband and I were so excited when we thought we found a good and reliable professional to help us with our bathroom remodel, and we agreed to the $/half hour rate over the phone, but then once the day was done, he charged almost twice as much. Now our entire budget for the job is gone and we only have half the work to show for it. Really disappointed. I guess if you’re wealthy and can afford them, the work was of a good quality though. No call backs from them either after asking questions.

Initial visit was fine - on time and courteous. But, never got back to us with an estimate and never returned phone calls. We called several times, were promised a call back, and nothing. Still nothing. Office personnel was very polite and tried to help, but would never recommend them. Wish we would not have wasted so much time on them.

Great communication with the office staff. Both a plumber and electrician came out last week. Garrett was the electrician who installed 3 ceiling fans where there were no ceiling fans previously. I ordered the fans on-line and they came un-assembled. He had no problem figuring out how to assemble and install the fans. He made sure I was completely satisfied before he left.The plumber just had to cap off a gas stove that was no longer going to be used. When he turned the gas back on, he made sure the seal with tight and that my gas fireplace was still working properly.Could not be more pleased with the office staff and professionals who worked on my issues.Will definitely use them again.

I attempted to get a quote from this company and after about 2 months I called back to have a guy on the phone, Andy, be rude and tell me they arent cheap. I tried to explain that the quote they were providing was significantly higher then all other quotes I got. I was told the guy who wrote up the quote may have taken, too good of notes., and he was no longer with Action and maybe why I didnt get my quote.Why is it always tough for a company to take responsibility and not deflect to the client or in my case someone who will never work with this company.BE AWARE!!! Their quote was much higher then the other companies in town.

We did wish they called ahead to let us know they were going to miss the window of time we had scheduled. We called in and they had to contact our guy. Our service person, Sean, did make it and gave us fantastic service and was very knowledgeable. Pointed out various things to us and wasnt pushy about any repairs that were not important. Overall would have them come back out.

Chris did a wonderful job! We had a clogged toilet at the WORST possible time. I called them and Chris came right out and fixed the problem. Great service and reasonable pricing. Would absolutely call them again!

My husband and I are in the midst of a kitchen remodel. We thought we were confident in uninstalling our sink before our counter tops arrived this morning. Well, turns out it’s a lot harder than you think and we ended up with a really bad leak and had to shut our homes water off! I called Action and they were incredibly responsive to our need. I called at 7 am and they had someone out to help that very morning. The job was done very well & the cost was fair for the work needed. I’ve tried to make two appointments to get an estimate for a basement bathroom plumbed. First try, I received an email stating I would be contacted to make an appointment, never happened. Second try, I scheduled an appointment on the website and when no one showed up I called and was told that those really aren’t set appointments and that someone should have called to confirm or change the time. Not good!

Not real happy with the service I received.I called to have a new toilet installed, they showed up the next day. After installing the toilet it didn’t work properly. He had to take it completely apart and redo everything.It cost more to install the toilet then it cost for the toilet.We called again because the furnace wasn’t working properly. The technician said it was a sensor that controlled how hot it got.The technician was able to get the furnace working but said he had to order the sensor.He said he would call the next day. After not hearing from them for a few days we called them. Apparently they were calling our old phone number, (we haven’t used the old number for at least ten years and we had told them the new number). Also our number was on the service order.A few days later they showed up and installed the sensor. That evening the furnace stopped working again. We called and a technician showed up an hour later.He told us the sensor wasn’t installed properly and the first technician should have known better. Well after all this he had to bypass something and he got it working. He said we should keep an eye on it and let him know if it got too hot. (We got the feeling that he wasn’t sure if he did the repair work right.It did work properly but we were very concerned about the furnace overheating.We also had asked both technicians to have someone call about replacing a copper water pipe in the basement. No one ever called to ask about the furnace or about the pipe replacement.Not really happy with the service we received and we’ll be using another company in the future.Update; I was surprised to receive a call this morning from action. They really wanted to make things right. They are sending a technician out to review the work that was done to the furnace.Update; They came out and looked the furnace over, didn’t really do much. Explained that I’d have to wait till I start using the furnace this fall to see if it’s working properly.

I had a list of small plumbing issues to be fixed and questions about some planned work to be done related to a larger home project (changing the location of the gas line in the garage). The plumbing items on my list were fixed, and my questions for the future project were discussed in a helpful manner. I was very satisfied.

I was happy with the job Matt did repairing 4 toilets.
