The bars are amazing, especially Strawberry with condensed milk filling - surprisingly low in calories and because it is made with real fruit, high in vitamin C. The only other flavor I tried was vanilla with Nutella inside, but I would not call it my favorite. It looks like the price went up from $5.25 to $6 per bar, which is insane - but you can buy a great GROUPON deal for Master Paletas, with two options: option 1 sells for about $12, and provides you with FOUR $5 vouchers, and option 2 sells for about $11, and entitles you to TWO vouchers, each voucher includes TWO bars. So, basically you will save half of the price - and that is if you buy the deals when GROUPON is not offering additional promotional codes, which they often email to customers, plus they frequently lower prices on certain deals. I do like these bars, and walking around Sawgrass mall is a great way to walk them off- but I would not pay $6 for a frozen dessert bar, unless I was lost in a desert somewhere. Sawgrass Mall is a tourist spot, but that price is just outrageous. Five stars for the taste, but two stars for the service and high price.

I was at MasterPaletas today and redeemed one Groupon voucher earlier in the day, then later I returned to redeem the second one - but the girl who worked at the kiosk refused to accept it. Not only did she barely speak more than a few sentences of English, she kept saying that I could only purchase one deal at a time from Groupon and use only one per day. She had no idea what she was talking about, but it was not a store where I could ask to speak with a manager - it is a stand alone kiosk, with one girl operating it. I asked her to put me on the phone with her boss, so she called someone and proceeded to have a conversation in Spanish - which I do not speak. Then she claimed that her boss does not speak any English, which I am certain is a lie. Also, the small print says Limit one per person, which makes it sound as if I was only permitted to purchase one deal. She kept harping on it the whole time. I told her that the deals are sold in groups of two or four, and not one at a time - and that I can redeem one per visit, not one per day. Nowhere on the voucher did it say one per day, and one per visit means that I can return later in the day and it counts as a different visit. And if the business wishes to revise its terms then so be it, but the terms of my Groupon entitled me t o get a Master Paletas bar upon presenting my voucher, and she refused to honor the terms under which I purchased the deal. I dont know how some chick who gets paid to watch a mall stand has the arrogance to think that she can decide when to honor a valid Groupon deal and to create rules that are not printed on the voucher. Even when I wanted to let another customer use my voucher, this annoying girl claimed that I was not permitted to let anyone else use my Groupon because they are a different account, which makes no sense - except maybe in her head. Just as with cash or gift cards, a Groupon voucher can be given to anyone, which is evidenced by the fact that additional deals can be purchased as gifts. She actually continued to give me a hard time over afrozen ice cream bar! I dont know what country considers this the right way to treat customers, but here in the U.S., a smart business would not allow someone to walk away unhappy over something so petty. She also kept saying that I should call Groupon because they are the ones that create redemption rules, which is also a lie. Groupon is a marketing company, not a regulatory agency. In any event, after going back and forth a few times, she did not back down and actually just turned around and walked out of the booth. What kind of business lets a customer walk away unhappy over an ice cream bar? The bars are fantastic, but the service is disguisting.
