Vaillancourt Folk Art is a premiere maker of on-site plaster like material images molded in antique German chocolate molds. They also have custom molds made specifically for unique pieces. Each piece is hand painted in their artist studio by veteran artists using high quality Artist oil paints and ultimately coated with a beautiful semi gloss clear coat. When I stopped by the store, after many years, I was in awe!!! What a wonderland filled with delight and peace. Valerie was extremely attentive…. I enjoyed chatting with her. I shall continue adding to my collection and purchasing gifts for friends and family. When you’re out of gift ideas, this is the place to go to and your problem will be solved. The Santas are truly a unique gift which everyone loves!!!

I have purchased many Christmas items over the years and am truly a fan of Judi’s art. Her Santa’s are incredible, truly a highlight of Christmas. This time I purchased a platter that I have been looking for for 4 years. My original one got lost in a move to Tennessee. The new platter arrived within a couple of days and I am delighted! It’s wonderful to have it back in plenty of time for Christmas. The lost is finally found. Merry. Christmas everyone!

The store at Vaillancourt was beautiful. And it was very nice to walk around the museum part of it. The Gerald Dickens Christmas Carol play was absolutely fantastic. He is such an amazing actor and very nice in person. If you are debating on going do not hesitate any further. Buy the tickets! You will not regret it.

I never have been to a folk art museum before I dont know much about folk art, but I figured it wouldnt hurt to check it out so I did, and I am so glad I did. It felt like I was celebrating Christmas in a magical wonderland. Everywhere I looked there was Christmas decorations, and some of the most chalk art I have ever seen. Even though my back was in a ton of pain it was well worth the pain. If you have not seen it yet I recommend it because you will not be disappointed. I would give it ten stars.

I have not had the pleasure of visiting a European Christmas market (yet), but I imagine Vaillancourt Folk Art is the closest thing to being in those Christmas markets. I bought my first chalkware piece at the Old Sturbridge Village but this time I decided to visit the Sutton store and studio. The store consists of many objects for sale that are made right on site as well as some German made items. This is not a place to find cheaply made Christmas decorations but high quality collectibles. Being a lover of Christmas, I bought a magnificent piece that now adorns my entertainment center joining the Twelve Days of Christmas glass ornaments that my wife received last year. I hope these items are passed along in my family for many generations. Vaillancourt Folk Art is the place to go to truly appreciate and feel the spirit of Christmas. Stop by and take a look at the collectibles, items for sale and tour the production shop. Buy a bottle of wine, a small ornament or elaborate chalkware. We are truly fortunate to have this home grown local store right here in central Massachusetts.
