If you need something, I hope you already know where its at! Went to the mill work dept where three associates were standing together talking. When I asked for help one of them pointed in the direction to where the item was - across from the patio furniture. Um, ok. I went over there and still couldnt find it. Finally I asked Wes and Kenny from another dept, they came over and helped me. Then I needed the wood cut. WHAT? you want to take the liability of the customer cutting their own wood?? Seriously? Abe finally came to my rescue. Many thanks to Abe, Wes and Kenny for demonstrating what customer service should look like!

Do not use their key cutting kiosk. I cut 3 keys and all three were cut wrong. When you go to the customer service desk they won’t take your claim or even deal with you. All they will do is give you the number to call. Poor customer service. Farm and Fleet is right down the street I’m going there from now on. Menards is a ripoff!

Public service announcement: When you or your contractor are buying windows make sure you are checking the screens! Bought $500 worth of windows, brought them home and found tears in 1/2 of them. Tried to exchange them but all the store had was more windows with tears (big and small). Dept. manager stated that no discounts, other than $7 can be taken off because, “someone else will buy them at full price, despite the tears.” Don’t be the person buying the ripped screens in windows at full priced. You work too hard for you money! :)

It was good but the bind I purchase was too short by 6 inches! So need to take back!😭

Terrible customer service. Selling lawn mowers they know dont work. Received multiple requests to return because they dont work. I know this because I was greeted with the return representative saying, another mower. Management sticking to policy of no returns due to small print, even though mower was purchased just hours before.Do yourself a favor. Go to Lowes or Walmart!!

Good prices here. Looked for furniture roller coasters but they didnt have them. 11% rebate is always good.

I made a purchase online to be delivered and decided not to do that project yet . I went to the Sycamore store cancel that order and do some other shopping . The ladies at the customer service desk were very pleasant and helpful . The return also required a manager to process it . Everyone involved in the return was very happy to help with no complaints at all !I went to do some other shopping for things in different departments . Not going to Menards for quite a while do to an injury I needed to get some questions answered . Every sales associate I came in contact with was very friendly and helpful . Ill be shopping there again as new projects pop up .

I purchased a whole living room set from Menards in Sycamore. I was asked if I wanted the warranty and I said yes. My loveseat already fell apart so I tried to file a claim. Well the store associate never charged me even though she gave me the paperwork. The store employees said they couldnt do anything about it. I sent an email to corporate a week ago because they wont let you speak to an actual person and no one has gotten back to me still. I will NEVER shop here again!!! The worst experience ever!

Keep in mind that you can find much more in this store for what you expect it to be & the prices are much better for the easier shopping experience & the incredible customer service. Its nice to shop somewhere where the employees seem happy & happy to help you as well

I have always liked Menards, but was let down when a manager did not honor the listed price for the item I purchased. I showed the customer service employee a picture I had taken of the listed price very clearly next to the item (it even had an arrow pointed towards the item). However, instead of honoring the listed price, the employee told me there was nothing she could do, because the difference in the listed price and the actual price of the item was too much. This was such a waste of my time (having to go back to go back to the store because I thought I was charged wrong).

Lots of products to choose from, yet I couldnt find what I was looking for. Passed several employees and not one asked if I needed help finding anything. Seems to be a common thing with big box stores nowadays.

My shopping experiences here have been very hit or miss. Some of the employees are helpful and know what they’re talking about. Other times, not so much. I wish they would train their sales associates better for the departments they’re working in. I feel like they’re understaffed because anytime it’s even slightly busy, you have to wait in line forever. I see a lot of unprofessional behavior like texting in front of customers and purposely disappearing to avoid assisting someone. The good news is, prices are low and there’s a decent selection of products in the store. Aside from the employees, it’s a good place to shop.

Stopped by to pick up some paint and small sale items. Clerk reminded 2 customers to wear a mask or leave. They bought 2 masks from the front desk for .57 cents each. Check out clerk was friendly and wiped down the credit card machine after I used it. The prices here are low and they have a good selection.

I found everything that I was looking for at a reasonable price its a big store so I get my exercise when I come to Menards, LOL! I really wish that they would just put sale prices on things and not do the rebates... I so much more appreciate the best price possible rather than the inconvenience of having to send in and wait for a coupon to buy more of their products.when my father was alive we specifically would not be allowed to buy things on rebate type discount and often would have to shop elsewhere instead. I think Ive only sent in the rebate twice in my life and yet Ive made many purchases during 11% days... Our family Really hates the rebate program

Stopped by to see if they had any hanging planters (by chance), but not really. But had good deals on yard scape. And picked up potting soil for my indoor plants. Cashier was very pleasant and no line 🙂

They don’t like it when you enter through the east side exit doors, so they have placed notices all over saying it is an exit only. The issue is that everything that I need is on the east side of the store.Besides that, the employees are helpful and easy to find. Management not so much.The Masterforce brand of tools are fine for single job use, but don’t expect miracles. I have a pneumatic finishing nailer that is top notch, but a framing nailer, flooring nailer, and sawzall that are hot garbage.

Ive been in this store on many occasions. Like most big box stores it takes time to navigate the isles to locate items youre looking for. It has been my experience the customer associates are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful which makes shopping experience pleasant and expedient!

I hope they open a home depot soon. In this place nobody can help you. Nobody knows nothing. Plus I had send so many rebates, after 12 weeks nothing...

Staff are always helpful. I just wish they could add a find in store option on the website. Great store has a wide variety of items. Sometimes just enough to make all needs in one stop!

I have always found the service at Menards to be excellent.

I called in a order for decking, when I went in to get the order at the contractor desk they said it was at the customer service desk. I went to customer service and they couldnt find my order. so I had to go back to the building materials desk and order it again. When I checked out I was double charged for some items and had to go to returns desk and get my purchase straightened out. After that I had to pull around to the lumber yard to pick it up. We got the location and started loading it. All the product was warped or chipped. So I had to go back to the returns desk yet again and return the whole order. I spent a half-hour on the the phone with them the night before so I didnt have to wait and I spent an hour and a half at the store. all in all I have two and a half hours invested in absolutely nothing because they didnt have the product in good shape and they lost my order. Being a contractor time is money.

Seems to have there 11% refund and all & all was a pretty eventful trip... Dont forget your mask... Protect one another ..

My first time in Menards, very large, full of products with low prices available for most items. The associates were were polite and helpful, when Im in the area Ill be back.

Menards has a good selection and great prices plus the 11% rebates are helpful as long as you dont forget to send them in.

Easy and fast to rent a truck

This is my experience trying to buy 12 bags of mulch today. I called trying to find out if they had red mulch and how much it was. After the robo automated answer, the timer on my phone indicated 6:45 before anyone from garden department answered. They have it, 2 grades, premium and regular, both 2 cu. Ft. Bags. Premium was about 45 cents more than regular. I went into the store and asked where the mulch was...all the way at the back of the store. Found what I wanted, walked back you the front of the store to the garden department cash register, waited in line, finally got to the cashier and was told I would have to go back to the back of the store to the order desk and they would write it up, I couldnt just pay forit there. Walked back to the back of the store, waited in line, had it written up and was told I had to go to the front of the store to pay for it. Walked to the cashier at the front of the store, waited in line, paid for it and was told I would have to drive to the back of the store to the guard gate and they would get someone to load my order. Drove to the guard gate, waited in another line, presented my receipt, was told where it was and instructed to drive to that area and they would have someone meet me there to load it. Drove to that area, waited 12 minutes, showed my receipt again, got loaded and drove to the front exit area. Waited in line behind 3 other vehicles, presented my receipt again, and left. Total time to buy 12 bags of mulch.... 55 minutes. Ill go to a different home improvement chain next time. Terrible customer service, and difficult to do business with.

Went to Menards to buy a new refrigerator looked around could not find anyone to help us no one in the department so we left and bought a refrigerator elsewhere 😟

Employees and manager were very unhelpful. And tried to sell me something that I didnt want or need and that cost 3× as much as what I went there for. First time in the store and also the last.

This Menards has a good selection and is well organized with a good stuff. My family frequently visits for home improvement needs.

Every time I go into this location they have a sale on something I need. Customer service was okay once I flagged them down. I was shopping for drop ceiling and Lowes wanted me to buy it by the pack almost $50, but Menards allowed me to purchase three each for $9.

Shouldve listened when I was told not to order from their online store. My fiance and I had talked to an employee about ordering a mattress and we were told it would arrive to the store within two weeks. Obviously with the circumstances going on and being from a third party vendor, you cant control everything. BUT train your employees to communicate things that can happen. Then when we call to speak to a manager he tries to offer a complete different bed that we specifically said we didnt like. If you want a good rep for your company, then provide GOOD customer service because by not offering a discount or free delivery is just making it worse for your company. Now weve been in our new home for a little over 3 weeks and the shipping date keeps getting pushed back. Terrible customer service, terrible communication, lack of training. will never order online from here again.

RCA model VH240R antenna amplifier is junk. Ive had 2 power supplies fail within 2 months each. I have entered this product review here because Menards seems to have removed product reviews from their own site?!

My family and I have been coming to this Menards for years and have always been satisfied with the extensive service that they offer. My dad has saved hundreds of dollars on rebates alone when supplying tools for his business. Well more than likely to continue our shopping here.

I had to return a delta tub that was poorly built and dreaded coming in to do it. Not only was it a very easy and relaxed visit to the store, but, the staff that helped me were very nice and helpful. Monica at the plumbing desk was knowledgeable and polite. Courtney at the customer desk was by far the friendliest and most helpful team member I’ve ever dealt with at your store. The whole experience was wonderful. Whatever you put in the water there for your staff please continue to do so because they are awesome.

After I parked..then theres one cashier ...we walked ..and then had to returned half length to store..if Id have known...if have parked closer..oh..I have a bad hip...and its killing me now..Flowers were good. We came here to look at trees and found a plant graveyard instead of a garden centre. I realize its July and hot and dry, buy the outdoor plants were fully exposed to sun and looked very, very thirsty. Instead we ended up getting a bunch of pool toys and there was a decent selection of reasonably priced blow-up toys and squirt guns.

None of your staff want to interact with patrons. Hiding behind their masks. Afraid of the wuhan virus? Had a difficult time locating items on my list

Big box hardware store. That feels like a small town store. Good prices, normally easy to find what Im looking for. Help is easy to find. Could use a better appliance selection.

Went to Menards to return some items that we didnt need for our house. The ability to reprint a receipt for a item you previously purchased is very nice. The associate at the return desk was very polite and helpful

Great store, newly remodeled with expanded selection in 2018. I go here alot so I know my way around pretty well. I have not needed to interact with staff all that often but when I do they are helpful.

Good everyday low prices and even better sales. Great selection; you can literally build a house with materials purchased solely here. I did it three times. Staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

They have a decent selection, and reasonable prices. Customer service is great, I had no problem with a return, no questions asked.

Everything is as it should be at a Menards. This store has the lighting on the left and garden center on the right. Several lanes open for checkout made my shopping go quickly. Easy in and out of the parking lot and plenty of parking in the well maintained lot.
