It’s Friday September 3rd 2021 1:30pm and I call this place multiple times with no answer then I drive 25 minutes up here just for them to tell me I have to schedule an appointment to sell clothes to them!!!!!!! Also, they are booked until October so it’s safe to say they are not worth the gas or the time
Helpful and large selection. When I call to ask a question they are prompt and clear with an answer. In the store, it’s clean and organized with lots of options in any section. Furniture and toys aren’t broken or dirty.
I spent $300 and cant even get a free plasic bag. They want 10 cents for it. Stingy selfish business practice. Not getting my business anymore over 10 cent. Dont deserve my money.
Love this store! It is so much cleaner than I expected (since it’s a resale store) and very well organized. The staff is upbeat, friendly, and always willing to help! And the selection for clothing is amazing and prices are unbeatable! Definitely my go-to store and my favorite OUAC location for sure!

I have a bitter sweet customer service experience with this company. Staff could be more customer friendly to sellers & should remember that sellers are potential buyers. Word of mouth travels and even if this is a established company the goal should always be to attractive new/more business. First off, I normally donate my children items (rather used or still tagged) to the Cherry Street Mission or Salvation Army because I would rather people benefit from them for a cheap price or free, however this past Sunday I decided to take the fairly used to brand new with tags items to ONCE UPON A CHILD (Sylvania Location); an suggestion from a friend. Anything used was rewashed the night before, dried and neatly folded, & any thing brand new (never worn), formal apparel or outwear was put on hangers & had a see through bag put on top (for protection), along with grouped by classifications. When I walked in (without my items), there were two cashiers standing at the registers & only one of them spoke or greeted me, the other gave me a unpleasant look, honestly made me feel unwanted. My initial question was when was a good time to bring in items to be viewed, the more friendly cashier answered my question. The other cashier continue to ignore me. When I came in with the items the cashier who wasnt customer friendly was the one to check me in, she still did not smile nor speak, and began lecturing me on my items being bagged. I understand there may have been a policy but as a first time seller, her approach was very nasty, sometimes it is not what you say, it is how you say it. To sum up the story, the more approachable cashier is the one who went through my things, she was able to purchase majority of my items and even complimented quite a few things. I did not receive much for brand new items that I paid a lot for but it was a last minute decision and I appreciate what was able to be bought, I understand they cant afford to buy them for what you paid. Moral of the story the staff could be a lot more friendly to sellers, just as they would to people that are buying. It is all a business and sellers could be potential buyers so staff needs to keep this in mind. A simple smile and greeting should be the expectation of the management team. Customers should not feel like the staff is annoyed or unapproachable.
This is where I took all of my daughters slightly used clothing and toys. Kids barely wear their clothing before they outgrow and are into the next size. This is a great opportunity to make a little cash on those items. Great deals here as well.
Monroe McCall down below much have the same issue at every store because its same review for twice is nice store. You have too pick and choose items. Prices can be high. But for used toys not bad.
Its a very cool concept to sell the things that you and your children no longer need and perhaps make a little extra fun money but the staff for the most part seem very stressed and not very friendly. they will say the words that need to be said like thank you and have a nice day but theres no meaning or emotion, almost gives you the feeling that somehow they think theyre better than you because youre selling your used goods and they can say yay or nay .will I go back again to sell some of my childrens used items? sure its extra cash but perhaps the staff will read the reviews and work on their customer service skills.
Great prices. We always find something useful here. Much better than paying for new items that your kid will outgrow in a matter of months.
The staff here is always kind and helpful. The prices are kinda hit and miss I feel like. Sometimes you get a great deal and sometimes things are overpriced. I use mainly cloth diapers on my 2 kids and they have a decent selection for $3-$5 and inserts for $1 & $2 each.
I went there to try to sell my niece school uniform s and toys she was to old for. They looked in my stuff.and only take some stuff toys and told me they would give me $6.00 for it. They tried to tell me the school uniform was dirty and had hoes in it. The school uniform she use was clean and some was new with tags on them. I would never go here again. I just find out this store sold my a broken baby swing. It had no safety lock on it. They were not allowed to buy that or to resell it.
Very helpful. Picked 2 shirts out for me and held them until I could get them later that day. Staff pleasant in-store.

Its an ok place to shop. But if youre selling your things. Youre better off selling it online yourself. They will rob you. You can bring something in that cost 100. Theyre going to give you 10 bucks.
6 employees standing around, 1 register open and a long wait. The MANAGER stood there and did nothing except give me a dirty look for mentioning it. Usually not a bad experience, but bad management ruins a store
Mixed blessing and really wish I wouldve read the reviews first. Good shopping but when it comes to selling items - not so much! New, unopened 350 piece LEGO set (Batman) they offered me 3.50! It was kinda fun to hear the staff, who was friendly, to do a great Rick Harrison (Pawn Stars) impersonation and inform me, well, weve got a huge inventory of toys right now so the best we could do is about one-third of what we can sell it for since it will sit on the shelf!Truth is, Id had uneven experiences with them in the past but this one today makes me chuckle. I know theyre a business and I respect that but they serve a niche market and many of the parents, like me, are also customers purchasing items. Good news, we all have choices and for me, in the future - while I may shop there, Ive learned my lesson on thinking theyre an option to turn around items - Ill take those to the Once Upon in Monroe (MI).Sad though as this location is closer to me. But. . . . .whatta gonna do.
Got $50.50 for my gently used items and a brand new doll house: bassinet, kids wheel barrow and garden set, sled, brand new: 3 story wooden Lalaloopsy house still in the box.

Used to be a regular client that would sell my clothes there. I went in today to buy clothes for my kids returning to daycare and was told because I couldn’t wear a face mask that I couldn’t shop there. I have a health condition that makes me faint if I wear one. That is terrible business & customer service.
This store is absolutely horrible! My girlfriend took in BRAND NEW childrens clothes TAGS STILL ON THEM! And they told her the stuff wasnt in good enough shape!!!! Or you kidding me. THEN she went to buy a SHIRT FROM THEM WHILE THERE and there was a HOLE IN IT! And gave it to her half off. The employees there are ALL high school kids and really seem to not care about their job. And were very UNHELPFUL and boarderline rude. Will not visit this store again.
Inexpensive place to get gently used clothes. Great for a growing family!
Very disappointed when I took delicate items for them to look at for purchase. The items arrived wrapped in tissue paper to protect them, but were then placed back in my storage bin unwrapped. I refused to sell my items there due to their lack of respect for someone elses property.
Amount of nice clothes (think Polo, Under Armour, etc.) is unbelievable, and their prices are out of this world.
I wont take my colthing here anymore. The company does not offer a fare price for items I brought in. Most items had tags on them and were turned away because they were worn out. I ended up finding a receipt for most items and exchanged them at the orginal store. Im just confused how something can be worn out with new tages, never worn and clean?

When it comes to shopping for children you want to get you bang for your buck because they grow so fast. The prices and variety at OUC lets you do that. They have just about anything you can imagine for children. Before i shop anywhere else for my childs stuff i always check OUC first to see if they have it cheaper.
I love OAC!!! I find the best deals and Im always in the store! The store manager (who legit is my favorite) and most of the girls are always so friendly and stop to talk because Im literally always there lol. I have had some staff act a little snobby, but you never know how that persons day is going so I dont take it personal. Im not sure why people find it so overpriced but i dont! When I can go and get a pair of osh kosh means for 5$ in perfect condition, i call that a STEAL! i have had issues with parts missing when Ive bought items and gotten a vibe like she thought I was lying, but the main girls and manager believed me and was able to be reimbursed. I plan going back today, wish it didnt open so late on Sundays lol.

The women that work here are SO snooty and rude acting. Youd think they worked at Lord & Taylor or Norstrums. Pricing can be fair but some things are way over priced 4 2nd hand items. If u 4get 2 ask about ALL of the items that they wouldnt buy-- they just keep the nice items. They do it at the store in Ypsilanti, MI. Also. Where I come from thats called stealing.
