I had a great experience from the time I walked in to select a new floor for my downstairs through having it installed. The sales staff were a joy to work with and the installation went perfectly with excellent professionals. I will go back when its time to update my kitchen counters.

First class from start to finish!! Everything from the estimate all the way through installation was handled professionally and we couldn’t be happier!

We contacted Syracuse Flooring America because they installed a floor for a friend, even though there are major problems with the floor, he thought they were working to correct it. We made an early May appointment for an estimate for about 700 sq ft of pre-finished hardwood. The tech (I won’t name him) came out and took the measurements. He mentioned that my front door would not clear the installed floor, so we discussed and considered alternative floor covering for that spot and he promised the estimate on that Friday or the following Monday. It is now June (at least 4 weeks later) and not a peep from them. I also talked to my friend today and they are still yanking him around on his floor a year later. He is giving them one more week to solve that problem before legal action. I don’t know if he will review this company but you should be aware they have at least 2 very unhappy families, very recently unhappy. I rarely rate a business, this is the third one ever, but my friend’s and my experience gave me the desire to at least make you think twice or 5 or 6.I certainly would avoid this company like a rabid skunk. We contacted a competitor from Marcellus and guess what, the floor is on site, we are on the schedule for Monday and Mike (so far) has been very helpful, concerned because of the work WE (we’re late 70s) needed to do, even offering his crew to move our furniture.

We recently had vinyl and carpeting installed in two different rooms in our home. This was one of the best experiences that we have ever had, from start to finish. Allison was very friendly, knowledgeable, and kind as our first contact when showing us different products. Mike, who came to take measurements and write up an estimate, was also pleasant to work with. Installers Alan and Ian did a fantastic job and were very professional. Price was in line with the product and quality of work. I would definitely recommend this family owned business as they understand a family’s needs. The product is exquisite, the final look of the product installed in my home gave the rooms such a rich look. Easy to clean, and the time of install was minimal. Our installer was personable, timely and very respectful . All contacts that were encountered with our experience were polite, well versed on the product, and took the time with us to explain any or all of our concerns.

Excellent customer service. We got an estimate in October but did not purchase until the following August and they still honored Octobers estimate. Installers were polite and punctual and we love our new carpet. I would definitely recommend!

We were looking to replace our carpet with a durable flooring because of high traffic from outside with a pool, kids and a dog- Mike was a tremendous help. He suggested Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) that is not only durable but waterproof. Mike and other staff helped select the right color since it would be next to a room with hardwoods, I didnt want it to blend. After a few trips home with samples I was able to select the flooring and and it was installed within two weeks of ordering and took a little over a day to install. Installers were professional and cleaned up like they were never there! We have received multiple compliments on the floor.

I loved working with Syracuse flooring America. I did LVT through my entire down stairs and it came out amazing!! The staff was so professional and courteous, from the manager and sales people to the installers- everything was top notch. They came right out and measured and my floors were promptly done. The installers took their time and were meticulous. I would highly recommend them to anyone! Prices were so reasonable. We went to Home Depot and looked, and the product quality just wasn’t the same. I feel like I got a much better product for the same price (if not better!) thanks syracuse flooring America!

Our experience with Syracuse flooring was pretty disappointing. We had hardwood floors installed on our entire first floor(about 1200 square feet). If we knew they subcontracted out their installation, we would have likely not gone with them. We had a hard deadline to have the floor installed and Mike advised us that they could have it done by then. We were about a month out and they had to order materials which was fine. The materials came in on time and was delivered. Some of the stair nose had to be redone due to scratches and the colors not matching. They were able to have their guys come two days earlier than initially expected to start the removal of the tile, laminate and carpet. They removed most of the tile and laminate but left the carpet. They worked about 3.5 hours each of those days which didn’t feel right but thought we were ahead of schedule so no issue. The next week, they were still waiting on the pieces to come in that had to get re-stained so they couldn’t start the installation process. Again, they were only there about 4 hours Monday and part of the laminate and almost all our carpet was still there. When I asked if we were still going to hit our hard deadline of that Friday, I was assured it was no issue. The next couple day they started to install and again only worked about 4 hours each day. By Thursday of that week, I knew they couldn’t get it done by the next day and called Mike. We still had half our kitchen and dining room to do and our entire family room was still carpeted with nothing touched. Mike said he was unaware that they were behind since he was reassured by his subcontractors that they were going to be on schedule. He was also unaware that the guys were only working 4 hours a day. Long story short, they didn’t finish by our hard deadline of Friday. (we were hosting a super bowl party and a baby reveal Sunday so needed everything done by Friday so we can move everything back into place Saturday). They were there all-day Saturday still working on the floors. Friday and Saturday were the only days they were there for more than 4.5 hours. If they worked a full day to start, the project would have been done about 3 days before our deadline. Since they do not have employees who they use to install their hardwood and subcontract it out means that they don’t have the same amount of control when it comes to job sites as other companies that we explored did. This also means that they have no one there capable of helping the installation. If we were to do it all over again, we would have gone with Greg at Kosters. His company specializes in wood floor installs and from the people I talked with afterwards, had a much better experience. He was honest when we were reviewing option on if he thought he could get the project done and after a couple days, he was able to get back to us saying he could do it but we already signed the contract with Syracuse flooring. Syracuse flooring specializes in their carpet sales and appears to do a good job based on reviews but I would not go back for wood floor installation. After the project was completed, I had to go around and clean up some mistakes and trim work that was spotty. Their installation guy was very nice through the whole process but oversold his abilities to get the job done and as a subcontractor, is not held to the same standards as their employees for time on the job and what is reported back to Syracuse Flooring. They also dont do any of the custom woodwork there (like staining wood registers or stair-nose) which adds time to the process. One other thing that bugged me is that they broke my coffee maker. I pointed this out when they were leaving one day and the installation guys said they would get us a new one. A couple days later, when I was talking with Mike about the dissatisfaction on the progress, I mentioned this to him and he had no knowledge of it. He told me they would send me a check for $50 to replace and it has been 2 months and still nothing, even after talking and emailing Mike.

We hired Syracuse Flooring America to update our home.  The work and consulting they did transformed our home into a showplace..We feel the staff and installers were some of the most professional in the business, right down to the owner stopping by to be sure the job was running on time and we were totally happy with our choices and the installation..They showed on time and finished ahead of schedule.  You would not have known by their cleanliness any work had been done.  I would give them a 5 star rating and recommend them to my friends and family for all of their flooring needs.  The showroom has all choices you would ever need to choose from.  They will be my go to company for any future needs..Great job, it was a homerun as far as we are concerned.  Carol Alexander

**Edit** The owner Phil did keep his word and got in contact with us to fix the issues we had with our floors and now they look good. Thank you Phil for stepping up and rectifying the situation for us.They seemed good at first. Great samples and appeared to know what they were talking about. Floors were installed great but quarter round and transitions were chewed up by saws or in the case of the quarter rounds bad cuts and cut at the wrong angle. I saw little pride in the craftsmanship of the project or response in getting issues resolved.

Mike Kerxhalli was our salesman and he patiently helped us pick out the right floor. It looks great and we are happy with the quality of the floor and the install.

We really had no idea as to what we wanted when we walked into the store. Mike Kerxhalli, Sales Associate greeted us and helped us through the process and answered all our questions. Once we narrowed it down to three possibilities,, he encouraged us to take some samples home to be sure. We went ahead and had the floors put in by Anthony & Rick. These two were the best and did a great job and were thrilled with the end results. It was very affordable and they had a great selection to choose from.Peg Conkey

If I could give less then 1 star to this company, I would. Just like other reviews on here, we are still (2 years later) dealing with the aftermath of a shotty and unprofessional install job. Company is completely unreceptive to issues, and has actually placed the blame on us. Flooring was installed in March, within months as the weather got warmer our floors would pop as you walked across it. We instantly brought this to SFA attention and were told this was normal and floors were settling. Over time it only got worse. Flooring started to lift and ripple in spots. We were told it was a humidity issue, and we should keep our windows shut. Had I known in advance upon the installation we would never be able to open the windows and allow fresh air in our house, I would have never installed hardwoods. SFA did agree to replace a section of flooring that was damaged. However, they only replaced a portion of the agreed upon area of floor. They had to come back and finish the job, but in doing so they did an even worse installation. Floor was raised on one edge of the boards and now shows a lip the entire length of the flooring. We have even had an insurance adjuster for the flooring manufacturer investigate the issues we have had and their findings all came back to installation. From using the wrong fasteners, to not having enough fasteners. All in all, if you want to live with a very large and very expensive mistake, go with this company.

Syracuse Flooring was much less expensive than Tile & Carpet Town. Mike K. worked with me to find the best material that generated the least amount of waste. The installers stayed late and worked around my schedule. My Siena Fusion LVT looks great!

Product was very good; however, we were very disappointed in the insallation. It was a very unprofessional job.

Terrible. Do not go here. I had a large insurance job and there were very unprofessional. The work was terrible. They cut my kitchen floor putting in carpet and denied it to my face. Sean and stairs of carpet are very unprofessional. Insurance company took them off their list as they came and checked their work and agreed with me. Please go elsewhere. You will regret it.

SFA did work our house a few years back and are still having to make fixes from installer mistakes. Purchased material and had them install. Unresponsive when issues were addressed during project.

Worst place ever to deal with after installed and you have a problem. Also tried to return some flooring they wouldnt take it back after they measured how much was needed and went over by 400 SF.
