Amazing selection of hardwoods tucked away in Syracuse. Tom was awesome working with my budget and specifications for my project. We spent an hour combing through his outstanding selection of live edge slabs to find just the right piece for what I had in mind. He was kind enough to plane and straight cut the slab for me as well, at a very fair price. Highly recommend you check out Salt City Woods for your next project.
The owner Tom took his time to show me around to see what they had and what they do. He was super knowledgeable about everything wood related. I was there for about an hour and learned more than 6 months of youtube videos. Will be doing most of my wood related business through this establishment. Glad to have found them.
Today was my first time going to this place and I was quite surprised at the massive selection of wood that this place has to offer. The building might not look like a massive lumber store but looks are definitely deceiving in this case. If you do anything with wood this place is definitely worth checking out. They have pallets of wood in literally all shapes and sizes. There were some boards that were so large they were almost touching the ceiling of the warehouse building (so really big). I also really like this place because when I was talking to the man that runs the place he mentioned that he primarily gets his lumber from trees in the Syracuse area that need to be cut down so he’s essentially recycling the wood rather than obtaining his lumber from mills (saving the forests). He also sold me a beautiful piece of cherry for a great price. So to sum it up I will most definitely be going back to this place for my wood.
Great spot for furniture-grade lumber. They’ll also kiln-dry your lumber. It’s nice to see these old industrial buildings put to use.
Tom was awesome and so his selection of live edge wood. We got several pieces for a project and theyre beautiful. Cant wait to get started.
Amazing! Tom was great to work with on my custom project.
Great place to find slab wood.
