Normally, when I shop here service is adequate because I know what I want and where it is in the store. This trip was different. I could not locate what I was looking for, and after finding a person that worked there I asked if I could get some help. She was obviously irritated and when I asked if she could show me where this item was she literally pointed to the right and said its over thereThe WORST customer service ever.

Consistent with most Michael’s stores I’ve visited - organized and tidy. Wish there was someone on the floor to help me find a few things, but the helpful ladies at the checkout made up for that. Great store!

As far as Michaels goes this one is pretty lackluster. It appears to be from the 70s or 80s although the Isles are stock in the store is clean it just seems old in my opinion for instance all the stores in the little strip mall are pretty lackluster as well and the name of the mall is actually Michaels Plaza ironically.

They have everything you need and are a far better company that operates under a better model of business ethics then say, Hobby Lobby.

Both my wife and I visited the Michaels store in Tacoma. My wife was looking for items for several of her projects and she was able to find all of the items needed for her projects. All of the employees are willing to help you out in finding the items needed for your various projects and to offer other suggestions for you to consider for your projects.

The customer service in this store is absolutely TERRIBLE. Just one of my many experiences in this store.... A staff member was organizing pens and I asked her to point me toward the cricut materials. She slammed her pens down and said back wall. Thats it. Then when asking another employee if they carries a specific product, she rolled her eyes told me no, then just walked away. This store is huge and carries a lot of fun stuff! Just wish the staff were fun as well. Always have problems at the cash wrap, with forgetting to ring up items, or what have you. Annoyed.

Easy to find what I needed and everything is easy to access.

Place has gone downhill ever since the pandemic cant find any cute paper pads on the Hot Buys all the designs kn the newer paper are cheap and ugly looking on the papers. They dont even carry cute stuff like they use too. Thanks pandemic.

I like the store layout and everything is always neat when I walk in. The only down side is that the company only seems to have 20% off coupons anymore. Id like to see better discounts or lower prices.

All the Halloween stuff is 50% off and today is 10/9/21. Got some new craft paint Ive never seen, and most of the paints were also on sale.

This is not one of their nicer stores but it fits the location. Their employees do not greet you which is fine but when needing help finding something both times at this location it was impossible to find someone to help me. Seems they would rather tell you they dont have it then help you look for it. In fact they seem to want to be anywhere but there. Last but not least I am 3 months pregnant and needed to use the restroom. The woman in the back of the store told me that it was closed. However at checkout the girl said oh no someone should be back there to let you in. At this point I was over it and just wanted to go home rather than walk all the way to the back of the store and possibly encounter the woman who told me no. My mouth would have gotten the best of me.

Found everything easily and was out of there quickly.

Good place to get Art and Crafts stuff

Great sales but they really need to get bigger carts or flatbed dollies for purchases. I buy canvas and never can fit my purchase in the carts. This is a gripe amongst my artist community.

Always great. Has tons of craft supplies. Nice folks. I went here to buy metallic copper paint and they had several options. I painted my lamp!

Great customer service and helpful staff

The people who work there are very knowledgeable and helpful. I took in an oil painting that I thought I had ruined. They fixed it and found the perfect frame for it.

I like that their website tells you what isles things are in. We walked in and went right to the isles we needed. They have an enormous selection and we walked out with more than we anticipated.

Not one person welcomed me into the store. I was not asked if I needed any help. I did ask a lady Who work there where I could find the weather die. Share replied very rudely and said oh we dont have it we did away with it and walked away for me.

Good store not crowded when I was there following social distancing good selection

Was a little empty on some aisles, a few parts I couldnt go down because they had stuff blocking the aisle, sale prices were good, workers were friendly, check out was fast, however, I didnt notice until I got home that I was charged for an item twice. They should make sure what they ring up.

Great place for anything craft related, and there are always amazing sales and deals happening. Staff are always friendly and helpful, and to be honest this store is a breath of fresh air in such a busy and troublesome area. I love my chakra and lava-stone bracelet and my best friend loves her lotus flower chakra pendant, which together cost only $9. I would definitely check this place out for crafting needs!!

I could spend hours inside of a Michaels. Their prices are decent but do add up quickly but that probably has to do with the fact that I can find several things that I want in every aisle of the store LOL

Went to the Michaels on 38th and Tacoma doesnt really matter though everybodys always friendly always helpful and never gives you a hard time about anything they can always fix it for you and they do with a smile love love love the place

This place has a LARGE selection of crafts and if you enjoy making arts and crafts of any type, I would say that you will most likely find it here. They have things that I have never seen before but it was definitely cool stuff. Lots of DIY items to decorate any room or complete your latest collection of items with. If you need it, chances are they will have it!

Inventory has been low lately. Hit and miss on getting questions answered by staff. Whether its locating an item or recommendations and information on a skill or product staff has for the most part been unable to help.

I wish there was a review page for Michaels in general. This store had always been great, very friendly and helpful. My issue is that I ordered online, most of it was smaller items. I ordered 11 items. So far I received 9 INDIVIDUAL packages! Most of the packages were in unnecessarily large boxes. I would have never ordered anything if I knew everything would be individually packaged and shipped. I do NOT recommend ordering online. They also charged me 3 transactions instead of 1, and none of the tracking numbers worked.

Stock in the store was very low. They had a pathetic selection of watercolor brushes - there were supposed to be good, better, best - but there were literally no better ones to be had and only a handful of others. Watercolor paint was low on stock too.

I needed to ship an item to Amazon. I didnt have a box and they helped me find one from their stocking ones. Also, taped it and applied the shipping label for me.

Honestly it was really nice to receive so much help here the other day! Staff here spent over 10 minutes helping me find and pick out a sewing machine. Everyone here was very kind and helpful!

Good place to shop for beading but at the moment their stock is low, Christmas is near. And, if you have military ID you can get 15% discounts.

Lots of things on sale or out of stock. The store was clean and staff was friendly. I vist regularly and was shocked to see many items not being restocked. Not sure whats happening.

Ive been in Michaels a few times these last few weeks, they have great sales, well supplied, their customer service needs work. One thing I dont appreciate is asking someone who is supposed to helpful a question & they treat me as if Im bothersome...not good. Needs work.

Cashier really went above and beyond to help me get best discounts for my sons clay project. Very nice helpful. She forgot my clay because I had her put my items in my backpack instead of a paper bag and sure enough walked to bus stop and had to return but it was okay they apologized and customer service is great prices are great!!

I asked a lady, who was just shopping if she would help me pick out a frame for a picture. She did. And I thanked her. Then she appeared around the corner, happy she had more frames . None of them were big enough. She said Im sorry. I said that it was so nice to have someone who cared, when her daughter came around the corner, and I thanked her again. Adding that kids today dont know what CHRISTMAS is like with every house lit up as far as you could see, was adorned with lights. Or bags of safe candy on Halloween. The kind lady said people cared back then. I agreed. Thanks for a random meeting with a person like me who would come into Michaels. Thanks again. Pat Horak.

Picked up some Christmas ornaments, storage, tree skirts and floral picks for a song. It pays to stash some money away in November so youve got some cash to pick up some sweet deals on the 26th through the first 10 days or so in January. But dont wait too long. . .watch your newspaper circulars, make sure youre signed up for their rewards program, and plan your trip so you make good with four sale days, coupons, and the ever coveted additional 25% off of regular AND sale items. Last year spent less than $100, and saved over $270.00!

A bit expensive but when I need markers for work they have what I need friendly staff only downside is for such a big store they only have two checkout lines open so the likes were long but moved swiftly

I like many things about t jis store, but today, when I NEED to buy a blower, there are different prices on the same items, there is no inventory and,nobody yo help. Very frustrating!

Overall a pretty typical Michaels, with one wonderful exception: bargain grab boxes! They put together bank boxes with surplus craft supplies and sell them for only a few bucks each! You cant quite see whats inside, but the surprise made it all the more fun. Ill definitely check back to see if they have more... after I finish sorting through my current grab box.

They responded promptly to the pickup when I called in my order. Thank you for being flexible during this difficult time. I pulled in and got my order within 5 minutes.

To the rude customer (no)service rep that checked me out: A positive attitude would do you wonders! When a customer asks if you except Samsung pay or any tap to pay service, maybe instead of Yeah, but it probably wont-work!🙄 Isnt the best response! Instead there are a plethora of ways to address someone who has a full cart load! Even if I had 1 thing to purchase I would expect a different response.I definitely thought about walking away right then, but my kids were excited out what we jad and the crafts we had for our special needs friends.Bottom line: Even if you cant show a friendly smile because of the current mask requirements, you can talk with a smile in your voice, or at minimum be courteous and helpful. Its your job.😁 (the mask didnt cover your eye roll either...)

The staff were all very helpful and even alerted us to use an online coupon in store at checkout time. The store Itself was very clean and well organized. Which was surprising for a Sunday. I would return to this store.

I went here to pick up a picture frame, to frame a newspaper article. I was in picture frames and I was searching for a frame that would fit a full size newspaper article. I heard a voice from behind the counter asking me if i need help. Which seemed nice.When I told the woman what I was searching for, she looked at me like she didnt know what I was talking about. I am assuming she has never opened a newspaper and actually read an article in her life. She did not know the relative size nor could she make an educated guess.She looked at me incredulously....With a condescending tone she informed me that there is no newspaper standard size.I looked at her and I felt like I was speaking to someone in a foreign language and a foreign country. I could not understand how she works in a picture frame area, where pictures and diplomas and flags and stoles and graduation and baptismal gowns are framed, and she was unable to make a guess at which frame in her area would be able to hold a newspaper article.People go to this store specifically for frames. There is an entire area dedicated to framing pictures and whathaveyou.Ive gone here to have my professional photos framed and dropped $300-$400 on frames in the past.I felt like i was talking to someone who has never seen a newspaper, let alone opened one and read an article.I blame technology. I blame social media. I blame drugs. But for some reason, this person neither framed a newspaper article, nor is familiar with the typical article size therefore unable to guesstimate the appropriate frame.Alas, my time was short so my disgust at this illiterate barbarian was also short cut short. My disgust still profound....She informed me she is the picture frame manager, yet she has no tact, seems to somehow be condescending and bratty, all the while being unfamiliar to the size of a full length newspaper article and unable to aid me in my search for the ideal frame.The other employees were kind, knowledgeable, helpful and professional. I just hope to God I never have to cross paths with the picture frame manager unable to assist me with frames, again.
