I did appreciate the level of information although my review is shaky I went there for my install I inform them that were certain things I wanted done for this installation and neither did anybody ask what I wanted or listened to what I said they put things were they wanted it after all I did pay nearly $600 dollars for my install, I know thats steep considering everything. I should atleast had the day so where things should have gone, a discussion and on top of all that I had all the necessary parts for this install and it was odd upon finding out even my truck was done it had already been sitting and no one called to say anything I just dropped by, and they also didnt return all the parts I had taken and replaced I had to come back, I trusted that it was all there... please theyve been sing installation for awhile and this review is minor but credible... be solid on what you want after all you are the consumer paying with your 💰... stay woke

Fast and courteous service! Didn’t treat me differently just because I paid with Groupon. Explained how matching outside tint to factory tinted glass may look a little bit darker from the inside. The technician was very knowledgeable and explained how to care for the tinted windows so as to keep them looking good.

The guys at Foss Audio in Tacoma are experts in their trade and absolutely know what they are talking about. They’ve now done audio and tinting in my BRZ and I couldn’t be happier with their services! Good customer service is getting harder to find these days and these guys nail it every time. I bought a Groupon for a full window tint up to 5 windows at Foss and I feel I got a great deal! I scheduled an appointment online with no trouble and was able to talk about available options when I arrived for my appointment. I decided on a slight upgrade both in film and % so I ended up paying a little bit extra, but worth it imo. I arrived at 11am for my appointment and after talking options for 10 mins left my keys and went for a walk. I wasnt even back yet when I got the call saying it was done, and only just more than an hour later!They did a great job as far as I can tell and if something comes up, the lifetime warranty will ensure that I continue to be happy with my purchase. I fully recommend Foss for window tinting and I plan to go back for a new stereo install soon too!

Super nice staff and very professional. Helped install back up camera for my 2013 car. Didnt try to upsale me on new stereo system since I simply wanted to install back up camera. Quoted it would take 2 hrs but done in 1.5 hrs very impressed. Much better than car toys who up sale everything.

Rescheduled me x1. Didnt have some of the tint they knew they needed, but didnt tell me this until after they completed half the job. Didnt call me to tell me the work was done. Poor communication in general. Didnt have the warranty cards for the tint (on 2 occasions). Charged me an extra $100 for the sunroof and back window after original quote, when they should have known all along what they were quoting for (bait and switch). Tried to give me different tint when they couldnt get the correct tint in (which wouldnt have matched at all). Scratched my windshield. Worst experience I can recall. Would NOT recommend them at all.

Great professional work! You could tell these men knew what they where doing by the details and choices they gave me on my window tinting. I got 5 of my windows done it took no longer than an hour and once they were done they gave me detailed information on how to take care of them. So I went here because I bought a Groupon for up to five windows tinted.When I first entered into Foss, there’s a gentleman just sitting there he didn’t seem to acknowledge me very much but I also had a two-year-old with me. He asked for my name and if I had an appointment and I told him. He asked me for what darkness tint and I didn’t now. My kid was screaming and I had to call my husband and my husband was not answering but he wait patiently while I try to get those two under control. Once I figured it out, I asked him how much it was going to cost to tint the small windows and he quoted me $40 and was going to take about two hours.I came back about two hours later and the gentleman who helped me in the beginning, I believe his name is Steve, asked if everything was good on the car and I said yes. We went inside and he actually started making conversation with me and told me about his son and was very nice. He informed me that I would have to pay the taxes on the work and gave me my total which was only $17 I asked him about the extra $40 for the other windows and he said “oh don’t worry about it I didn’t charge you for it” I was totally shocked! That was so nice of him! The work was amazing.So, side note, I got home and my husband noticed there was some damages to one of the windows and I called Steve to tell him. He told me to bring it back so he can check. My husband brought it back and insured my husband it wasn’t done from them since all their work was done from the inside and he had cameras to show it. Which I was so glad. Once we realized where the damages came from we apologized but it was nice of Steve to tell us that they can back up their work.

When I asked them about their Groupon for tinting, they seemed defensive and said there is no warranty for it and I should look at their other packages. Then they said there is limited warranty after all. Suggestion: If you dont like customers with groupons, dont offer groupons.

This company is the greatest. They installed an awesome car alarm system several years ago and they still support my ignorance to this day. I had 2 problems; Somehow one of my remotes changed to “valet” and I could not figure it out; The other remote needed a battery changed but I couldn’t get it open. They welcomed me in like an old friend and resolved both issues within a matter of minutes! Awesome customer service!!!!!

I had my car stereo system installed here back in 2015 at the tacoma branch.. They did great because the guy that was at the counter during that time was so helpful and willing to get my car in and worked on.. The crew that worked on it to did a great job and were friendly..But that was then.. Now in 2021.. Theres a new face at the counter.. This dude is mean and didnt even put in any effort to get what was needed for my vehicle to get worked on..I waited 2 weeks just to be told that he forgot to schedule me and that another person had already took my spot.. It was so bad that the next opening would be 3 weeks out.. This dude is a jerk and needs to get fired.. You will lose plenty good customers because of people that dont have pride in what they do like the guy you have at your tacoma branch working the front desk.. horrible.. Just horrible

Disclaimer this review has nothing to with money but the horrible service I received.On June 1st we arrived at Foss Audio & Tint Tacoma. Upon arrival no one explained there would be additional charges added to the full tint Groupon I bought. Left car keys, only to return to have the keys held hostage unless extra payment was made for services not ask for. I purchased a full tint, but Nick insisted we pay an extra $55.19 for a quarter glass on the dodge charger.Nick apparently is the store manager for Foss Audio & Tint Tacoma and honestly should have handled the whole situation better. Hurling screams and insults just to make a point at a customer is just unprofessional. Especially in front of said customers 8 and 6 year old children.Reported the information to the business owner and unfortunately that experience was far from professional as well. A little advice on how to earn customers is to treat them with respect and honor a service without trying to haggle for extra money.Bottom line, we are plain and simply not happy with the service received. We will not be returning to this vendor. Had a day ruined, got bait-and-switched, and now have shoddy work to show for it.Please see the attached photo for what they call a full window. It is called a quarter glass not a window.

Walked on the store today guy was on the phone didn’t say anything just kept talking on the phone. I was walking around to try and see the different radio they had to offer. Only to walk in a room where all the radio was to be told I couldn’t be in there. I ask well how am I to look at your product he stated oh look through the glass. He managed to stop his conversation on the phone just to say that. But if a white person was to walk in I promise they would have been treated differently.

I had a very good experience here. I bought a tint job through groupon. When I contacted Foss Audio in Tacoma, they set me up for an appointment based on my schedule.They explained some things about my groupon deal and some options. The deal was for 5 windows but my car has some quarter windows. I was told they would be extra. They ended up being 20 dollars extra per window plus tax.It was all doable. I had read into that so I wasnt surprised. They explained it up front so I wouldnt be.I was shown the different styles of tint. I wanted a dark private shade but settled on 20%. An employee had his Audi there and I liked the look.The best part of this whole experience was they got me in earlier in the week due to a cancellation!It took them a little less than the planned 2 hours. The staff there was nice and to the point. They gave me clear instructions on not touching the windows for a few days and not washing them for a few weeks. They put tape over the window switches to remind me.I love how my car looks now!

They did a great job it was actually quicker than they had told me it would be prices were good not the best in town but I think the job that they did it was worth the price. Very simple and easy transaction very simple and easy to get in and out and the workers were polite and I like the fact that you get a text message confirming your appointment and they gave me a call when it was done and I didnt have to guess

We bought a remote start with installation for my daughters car. The folks at Foss Audio did a wonderful job. They were professional, and explained everything to her that she needed to know. The work was done well, and the remote start is fantastic.

This place is reasonably priced and can work magic with stereos.

Second time I have used the Tacoma location for window tinting. First time my 18-year old daughter went in with a Groupon for all five windows and they did a great job. I sent my 17-year old son a few months later and they did the same fantastic work. During COVID-19, the waiting room is closed so expect to have to wait outside for a couple of hours. My teens grabbed some food and did some shopping at the strip mall next door to kill time. Their customer service is good where it counts: do a professional job and do it right the first time. Treat each customer equally. I witnessed them helping various people that represent a sample of random age groups, sex, and colors. Many happy customers leaving the shop with appointments for stereo speaker installations, tint, etc. Staff themselves are a mix of different kinds of people. Why do I mention this? Proof that we can all co-exist without drama and have a service and product we can all love and enjoy.

Dropped off our car on thursday close to closing to have windows tinted and a remote start installed. The following day we picked it up and Mike the tint guy outdid himself! Master at his craft! Thanks to all that worked on it and also thanks for the good quote!

Scheduled an appointment. Showed up on time. They decided that my two vent windows would cost me 50 extra bucks on top of what I had paid for my Groupon 5 window price. They told me it would be about 2 or 2.5 hours and they would call. My appointment was at 4 and their shop closes at 7. I showed back up at 630, walked to the last bay where I assumed my car was and where an employee was standing outside. As I approached I noticed he was playing on his phone and smoking a cigarette. When he then informed me he just got started and only had one window done. I asked him what the deal was and he responded with he was backed up. Obviously not backed up enough to take a smoke break. I asked when it would be done because the shop closes in 30 minutes and he responded with I can stay late, I responded with well too bad I cant.I walked inside and the young kid and older guy barely acknowledged me entering despite having just been there less then 3 hours prior. I asked him what the deal was. And informed him of status of my car and what his employee was doing. He went to go check and came back and said they could have it done in 45 minutes and that he didnt realize how backed up his employee was. I asked if it was going to be quality work and would it look good. He couldnt even muster up a response to the question. Simply because he knew it would look like trash. I told them to rip the tint off the window and give me my car. Didnt get an apology, didnt even get asked if I wanted to reschedule. Didnt have to worry about the refund because I hadnt paid for the bogus add on yet and was already contacting Groupon about a refund directly. Literally said nothing. I had to walk outside and tell the employee to pull the tint off.Overall, I think there is a reason why at least the Tacoma location has a deal on Groupon. Its the only way they bring business in the door. Horrible customer service at every level. Customer service inside dont want to be bothered. Furthermore, it is unacceptable for an employee to be standing right outside of the bay smoking a cigarette. Especially when my car was supposed to be done 30 mintues prior to when I showed up and only had a vent window tinted. I wont even get into this dude then climbing into my car and pulling it out of the bay without washing his cigarette hands. Or the fact they removed my temporary tag from the window and didnt even feel the need to hang it back up. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed and will never recommend this location to anyone ever. If I could give no stars I would.

Not sure whats going g on at Foss I drive by June of 2021 and it looks like its closed fir business. There debris around the building ect.... I just kept on driving and didnt even stop

If I could give them a negative rating, I would. Save your time and money, avoid these guys!Firstly, I called them and the earliest I could set up an appointment was a week later. On the day of, I confirmed the appointment in the morning. I was running 15 minutes late and called them several times and left various voice messages. However, when I arrived, the man informed me that I would need to wait two hours since they thought I was a no-show and they had taken a walk-in customer. Basically, Id wait 2 hours for them to start working on my car and 2 more hours for the tint job. Their voice mail goes to another branch and they dont answer their phone. Due to their good reviews, I waited a week to get an appointment, only to be told that Id need to wait for a walk-in customer! Their quote is also higher than others. I found another company who did it for a fraction of their price.

Mike did an amazing job on my tint. I have a ‘09 Genesis that looks like a brand new car after I left Foss. Plus as a friendly reminder to not put my windows down for a period of time they took the time to put tape down on all of the buttons. These guys were awesome. If you need to get your tint done DEFINITELY check Foss out.

The manager, Nick, and his team are outstanding! Over the many years, I have brought many cars over to Foss Audio for tinting jobs and every single time, they do an amazing job. Every tint job is professionally done.During the beginning of the tint process, Nick and his team educated me on how dark my windows are going to look. They showed me examples of the levels of percentage of tint and also what they would recommend. There is a waiting room for customers to wait for their cars or you can come back in a few hours to pick up your car.Once it’s ready for pick up, they give you call and it’s all ready to go! They also tape the window controls down so you don’t accidentally roll down your windows. The crew at Foss Audio will educate you on proper care at the end of the tinting process, too.5 stars for Nick and his crew for extreme professionalism, excellent work and an overall fun environment at Foss Audio. Mike, the gentleman that did my tint job, was also incredible and did a fantastic job on the latest car I brought over to them (Mercedes A220).Highly recommend this location!

Took my truck here to have only my back tints re-done and they gave me a time frame of 2 hours, but had my car in and out within an hour tops! Very friendly and professional and the tints looks great. They also provided me with detailed info on after care instructions. Will definitely be taking my other car to them as well.

Helpful and kind great customer service and great work

Foss is money. Theyre quick, offer competitive prices, and they do very professional work. The guy helping me went I went in was about to caution me the hardware to mount the product I was buying would potentially be more than the product its self, but quickly corrected himself as the model of my vehicle supports a different and less expensive set-up. I was surprised at how inexpensive it was after all was said and done. I typically like to support smaller chains like this and I would recommend you do, as well. Also, if you call and they dont answer, just go there in person. Theyre one of those skeleton-crews where they have one person working the office to help walk-ins and fielding calls alike.

I just got my windows tinted on Wednesday and today is Sunday I go to roll down my window and my tint is already coming off I am not happy with the service. I will not recommend them now I have to find someone who will fix just one window and not charge me to do a whole car again

I had my work done almost 5 years ago now and the staff was kind enough to follow-up with me about an unrelated electrical issue and solve it when I just popped by on a Monday morning. These guys are are truly kind, wont mess around with you selling you product you dont need. They take the time to listen to what fits your budget and wants. I really love this place. I just got remote start installed on my car. I especially love how I put a comment on the website asking about a quote and got a basically instantaneous response. I also liked that they didn’t up charge me like the previous place I got a quote from. Matthew and Chris took good care of me and got me out of there. Very professional and pleasant to deal with.

I had an appt at 4:30pm, they did not start my car til 7:45pm. When I got my car back almost 10pm. They tint job was horrible! The guy did not know how to tint over matrix dots, you can see where its cut and uneven. They also left a mess all over my car! Very unprofessional! I would not recommend them to anyone. When I went back and showed my back window, the guy had the nerve to lie right to my face and said it will cure in few more days and what Im showing him will disappear.

I had some trouble finding a tint place during this Covid crisis, but Foss Audio of Tacoma was available. They got me in and done in about 45 min. When we were done he gave me a detailed explanation of how to care and extend the life if the tint, and it looks great!

Money talks. I Was here looking for a stereo system for my Passat, and realized that their prices are a bit over my bar compared to car toys.They have good service though.

Mike was the guy taking care of my paper work and also tinting my car. Did a great job with managing my time, he called me in early because someone missed an appointment. That was great for me. Kai helped him get the job done and by the time I finished shopping at Costco, they were done. Gave me great hints on how to protect my tint after installation. No windex or amorall, go to Griotts and get the good stuff.

Ive gotten two cars Windows tinted and stereo system installed. Theyre very processional, fast and reliable!!Even if something happens to your window such as a crack, theyll work out a great deal with you to replace tint!

The staff here are very professional and knowledgeable. I came into my appointment for my window tint not knowing 100% what I wanted, but Mike was fantastic in helping me and explaining all my options to me. They were also very efficient with how long it took to do tint on all my windows, and explained the after care for the windows in an easy to understand manner.

My mother and I wanted to see how much they charge for tints. We parked in front of the no parking area just to ask them a quick question and we would leave. One of the workers with long hair, gauges, arm sleeve tattoos and a hat was very rude to my mother. He kept telling her before she could ask the question to move the car. Were I come from that was seriously rude and disrespectful to treat your customers and elders like that. Is this is how you run and promote your business? I tried calling your office to report him but I constantly got the answer machine every time. I would not do business with a shady company that finds it okay to treat your customers how ever you want.

Went into several shops.. only to feel very confused about what was possible to install in my vehicle. After my visit to Foss they made it clear and easy to understand and I got a great deal. I’m loving my Apple CarPlay and remote starter. Definitely will be returning to Foss to also have my window tints done.Staff made it so easyThank you

Great products and they have a hot huge variety of products you can choose from although you may come across and item they will have to order for you because they cant stock everything. Overall they were very knowledgeable over car audio equipment. I can actually have an educated conversation with them about the products that I have and get an opinion on what I should get to work with way I have.

Left my headrests off and some weird substance all over the door panel and panel below the rear windshield. Took way longer than they said (almost 7 hours) and left me sitting in the waiting room for over an hour after the vehicle was clearly already done. Tint looks good but not worth the experience.

I have been a Fan of Foss Audio & Tint since is was called FOSS Tire. Great brands... the best installers... and GREAT customer service. If they ever tried to close the Tacoma store down, I would chain myself to the front door like a hippie trying to save the Rain Forrest. Some of the coolest custom installs and ground-pounding-est systems have been born at this location. My next Car-Window-Tint, CarPlay-Radio, Remote-Car-Start, Back-Up-camera, Radar-Detector and/or Boat-Sound-System will be done at this Tacoma Landmark.

You can change your hours instead of hanging up on people half way through a call.. Or talk to people its how most professional businesses communicate.

They quoted me a better price for my sound system then anyone else. They also installed and made everything look and sound great on my 66 Cadillac. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Had my brand new 2019 Tacoma here twice now and had them initially do my passenger and driver windows for the front, well after the 3 week waiting period I brought it in for defects in the drivers side window. They fixed that and I had them do the back half of the truck...the rear passengers and rear back glass. I noticed immediately that the back window was just quickly thrown on...there are pits along my entire top of my backs window...basically a bad roll they used or the improper install from their technicians...as he was upset from the beginning that I wanted him to fix his mistake on my earlier purchase .Now my back windows is growing more bubbles rather than getting smaller and its been 5 weeks since the last installment. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone

Tints looked great upon pick-up. There was a little issue, a double booking at my scheduled time but Mike was able to work things out with me to make it worth while. He even stayed after hours to make sure my vehicle was looking good. Highly recommend Foss for window tinting, especially Mike.

I stopped in earlier to get a minor adjustment on my amp guy tells me $85 a hr for something that took 10 Seconds to do which a guy at Car Toys did 4 NO COST and I offered 2 pay them.I wouldn’t recommend anyone coming here.The guy who I talked 2 seemed uninterested and dismissive and reading a few other reviews yeah I believe Race played a part in that.
