The missing star is due to them having SO many empty spots on the shelves, but thats truly an issue with corporate and with Covid, rather than the store. I love all hardware and tool stores honestly, but this HF location has very friendly staff who are you helpful, and I witnessed the manager addressing some small concerns with a staff member out on the floor and I can truly say that it was a very pleasant interaction between them and did not in any way interrupt what the customers were doing or even stop them both from continuing to ask customers what we needed.

I went to Harbor Freight today with one goal. To buy a rolling tool chest/work bench for my husband. They had 3 different display models. White, blue and black. After 30 minutes of desision making I decided to purchase the white one. When I got to the cashier, she said that not only did they not have the white one in stock but they didnt have any at all and that it can be special ordered.... To be recieved ... in JANUARY. I asked if I could buy one of the floor models and she said they werent available for purchase. Thats a first. I understand this is not the employees fault, so i left politely. The two star rating goes to Manangement. They should be more mindful of whats being offered and notify customers of options before deciding on a product then finding out there out of stock and there is nothing the employees can do to help. Leaving the customer SOL. Wasted alot of my time which is down right rude and unprofessional.

I have bought countless tools at Harbor Freight over the years. Used to love the coupons. But now they have some weird new permanent coupons things you dont even want or looking for thats why I only give it a four-star I miss the good old-fashioned 30% off coupons be used to get. I guess thats just a sign of the times.

I often buy tools from Harbor Freight for the mere fact they have good quality for an affordable price for the homeowner. For years I bought the best I could and generally dont get anymore use out of them that I do some of the HF tools. Most things are in stock or can be had within a week or so. The staff while few are good at the jobs and with reasonable knowledge of their stocked products. Kudos to the Tacoma Harbor Freight team.

If you go to a mechanic and they are using harbor freight tools you should run. When you go just ask are harbor freight tools any good. If they say yes they should not be your mechanic. These parts are cheap junk. Not quality long lasting parts. Americans love to buy cheap junk. Amazon proves that correct. Everything in this store is just cheap junk, made from cheap Chinese pot metal.

Good place for inexpensive tools for the non professional. Tools are not really the highest quality, but for small projects around home its great

Went in to pick up a few things. Spent 20 minutes shopping. Went to the register and was told they were only excepting cash.I understand IT issues but, multiple people were in front of me that had come back with cash. So, they new it was an issue for a while. I work in costumer service, let people know when they walk in if their is a payment issue. Totally wasted my time. Went to Home depot instead.

You can get a lot of tool stuff for amazingly low prices. I would be a lot more comfortable if their stuff didnt come from China. Their products are inexpensive but you get what you pay for. For example I have the free standing Drill Press its nice to have one but the table isnt square with the chuck. I got the vice where you are supposed to be able to your drill like a mill but there is about 30/1000s slop. The vice my brother got for his was fine.

Store nice & clean, big variety hardware to choose from reasonable priced. Can get coupons on line for better discounts but still in store prices are good too. Staff are friendly eager to help you find what you need.

Nothing the website says is in stock is actually on the shelves or available. Management was too busy discussing all of the workers they didnt like loud enough for everyone else to hear, instead of bothering to see if anybody needed help. Just of note, the website will say somethings in stock even if the only thing physically in the store is the floor model and they refuse to sell that.

We got a 5 mph shop vacuum from Harbor frights for 50$!Works like brand new and we bought it 4 months ago!One problem is that there cashier handed us 35 cents for change instead of 40 cents! He said that it was 40 cents but it was 35 cents! So the manager of the store had to come and sort everything up and she did and the funny thing was that the cashier looked like he was in his 20s! LOL

Attention 6th Av Management, Less get these ladies some help on the Morning crew. I sensed and heard the discomfort when I purchased a 20 ton press yesterday. We cant expect the heavy lifting to be done without the extra Man Power. See, we are good for something! Peace!

Went to purchase a Toe Kick Saw.Was told at the register it doesnt come with a blade. So I go to search for a blade that isnt in the shelf (perhaps an opportunity for customer service to to a inventory check). Then, wait in line a second time (to purchase said saw), just to find it does in fact come with a blade. What a waste of time for fear of telling a customer the truth.Making up an answer when not knowing the answer is the wrong answer. Please educate employees on product inventory.

It tools what is there not to like. Nothing wowed me there. Employees are nice and on their game.

Good sale on their tool chests but have to wait for pickup due to sold out inventory. No ability to buy by telephone so I had to drive to the store to order and pay for the tool box.

I been to every one of Harbor Freight stores in Washington and the last one is Bellevue that has the item that I want 95053 (sku) and its a shame people are stealing the way they are because it says they have the item in there system but they dont have it on the shelf and its a waste of gas when you have to drive to every one, now tomorrow I have to travel all the way to Bellevue when I live in Tacoma, so you saying University Place, Tacoma 6th ave, Lakewood, Lacey, Kent, Federal Way, Seattle, now Bellevue!! Maybe you guys need a better Theft prevention team cuz this aint funny at all.

Horrible, after I stood in line for ten minutes as the lady (Julie the Supervisor) was at the register helping another man. She all the sudden say her register ISNT OPEN to me and another gentleman that had been waiting, patiently, as she had seen us there for those ten minutes. So we got shifted to the other line behind 7 others. Great customer service, NOT! Then she opens up a few minutes later and doesnt even call US back to the register 🙄! SMH!!!

I called this store after calling several of this area stores looking for a particular tool. Every single store I talk to was extremely helpful except for this one who gave me a really nasty attitude. Go to any harbor freight but this one.

Its HARBOR FREIGHT TOOLS, who doesnt own one thing from there? Or knows someone who does? Every. One. Been around since I was at least 10, and always at least one in the area I lived. Need to expand to Kodiak, Ak. And Hawaii, Maui especially--ahem(clearing throat loudly). AND... they could, should, have a bar, that might be my only gripe. Otherwise they provide what you need at a smokin deal for a decent product. Get their coupons app too, youll appreciate it.

Cheap tools but if you need consumables (tape, sandpaper,etc.) its a good place to go. Tool quality is getting better if you go higher end. Should have one level of quality, not 3 or more.

Had to ask an Employee about an inch and 3/8s deep socket. He was rather rude.these men think only they know about tools. I am female, never got an answer that satisfied what I was asking.

Came in on Sunday to buy a bunch of tools for our shop. The 2 beautiful young ladies Dacia and Dana were very helpful.

I think you know what this place is about and what you can expect. However; twice now Ive had excellent customer service (feel terrible I cant remember names). The one guy knew all about solar, the equipment needed, and how to hook up for my cabin and RV needs. The other lady (separate trip) was extremely helpful regarding their air-compressor offerings. Ratings, uses, CFM vs SCFM, PSI ratings and what was needed for my tools/air gun/paint sprayer. ~Cheers!

Tools... You get what you pay for. For me, as a dilettante mechanic, its the perfect place to shop. I usually only need something once. And if I use HF tools until they break, I know I need to upgrade. But with realistic expectations, its a great place to get your tools. Unless youre a professional. Then it probably wont take the abuse. Customer service is usually pretty great. At least at the Tacoma locations. But Ive never had a bad experience. The ratchet straps are disappointing, but very cheap, so, again, it depends on your application and expectation. But I always go there first for my tools.

Went there for the Fathers day 20 percent off deal

The staff was quite helpful and friendly to me today, but the line for the only open register went all the way to the back of the store. Unacceptable. Dont sign up for the Insider Club - its a waste of money. Bought a 2 or 3 year membership, and it hasnt paid for itself, in comparison with the regular coupons readily available. And, they havent sent me any of the Insider Coupons in 9 months. They started emailing them a couple months ago, apparently, but didnt bother to notify me by mail. Since i used a junk email account, i didnt see it, until i was told about it by the store manager. Oh, and i was treated rudely by the corporate office, when i called to find out my Club number, since its required to actually view the coupons (their website, irritatingly, doesnt allow your browser to retain your login credentials, which means youll have to keep that magic number handy).

The staff is knowledge and as long as youre not looking for something high end this place rocks.

Store was well kept minus the lack of some inventory. In fact, the only item that drew me to the store was out of stock. They did help me by providing other locations that should have stock on hand. They advised that I should ask that they place a hold on it as well.

I always get really great service here. Friendly and helpful staff. My boyfriend and I do a lot of business here. My favorite part of going is the free item you get with every purchase with coupon. Usually a 20 percent off, sometimes more coupon with the circular. The power went out last night during the thunderstorm and those free LED lights and my candles saved the night! Also, if you genuinely have a problem with the tool you bought, they are happy to make it right. I got electrical strippers for candle making. Its still kicking butt and I use it daily! :)

This place was completely unorganized. They didnt know the prices for any of the items that were on the floor. Said they would have to find out the price(s) another day instead of calling a manager or looking up the price. Floors were filthy. I dont know how they are passing any sort of health inspection with covid 19.

Purchased a vertical compressor a little over three months ago ..used it 3 times went to fill my tire up yesterday wouldnt hold air.seals gone what a piece of GARBAGE .!!! I UNDERSTAND THERE TOOLS ARE CHEAP. BUT USED THREE TIMES FOR 160 BUCKS. AND NATERALLY ..THEY WONT RETURN IT OR EXCHANGE IT AFTER 90 DAYS. WONT SHOP AT COVID HARDWARE AGAIN

I love the deals to be had at Harbor Freight. But be wary of some of their offerings. The quality of some of their products isnt great and you may end up having bought essentially a disposable version of what you could have picked up at Home Depot for a bit more.Subscribe to their emails so you get their famous coupons. Always something great to be had in those coupons.The Tacoma store was well staffed, but the employees werent terribly friendly or interested in being helpful. One gal I interacted with verbally disparaged a customer who had called in on the phone. Not the professional look I would want or accept from my staff.

Theyre THE place for Chinese knockoff tools. Minor problem...they have (at least in Tacoma) the worst computer system known to man...it seems to go offline pretty much every time I got in.

Mixed experience. I guess you get what you pay for. They have a large inventory of affordable tools. The cashier was fairly polite, but the man that helped move our box out to the car clearly did not get customer service. Did not care, and left before our item was loaded into the car.

Supervisor wouldnt help cashiering and left the store with a line of customers waiting to be checked out. At least 7 people in line. Poor customer service. Avoid this place if you can.

You gotta be careful going into a Harbor Freight store because there are always a ton of things you cant live without or at least wonder how you ever did without.Today I knew exactly what I wanted because I had been there a few days before. Fortunately I had a limited amount of time. I got what I wanted but almost left with an arm load more. Good thing I was limited on space with my motorcycle.

This is a good place to get a good deal on tools and offers great coupon incentives. At Christmas time I got a nail gun for $5 normally 69. The staff is helpful its brand-new so its very clean. I would recommend this place first before sending somebody out for tools somewhere else
