I really like the Lakewood office...Im in the area quite often and Ive brought in shipments to them...all went well... David in dispatch is awesome. The office personel there are very professional and courteous. Thanks Bekins for all that you do for the moving industry.

My youngest son works here. He is a driver/ mover. He has been a mover for about 15 years, worked for several companies, and really likes working for Bekins. I know he takes pride in his job and crew. Hes fast and extremely competent, prides himself on excellent customer satisfaction

I have used Bekins twice. One for a move to Washington state in 2016 and one when we left Washington state this last summer (2020). Both times, the experience with Bekins Northwest was terrible. Dealing with Bekins in Texas and in Missouri, they were great. it is strictly Bekins Northwest that is horrible. In 2016 when we moved to Washington, the unloading crew did nothing but complain, waste time, and not listen to where things went. There was one guy in the group that was working way harder than everyone else.The worst, however, was our experience with Bekins Northwest in July of this year (2020). They were way off on estimating our weight so it added an extra $1500 to our bill, but then they KEPT OUR BELONGINGS for OVER A MONTH. They refunded us, yes, you guessed it, $1500 for the wait time. (Ill let you make the connection...) When we finally got our stuff, there was a lot of damage. A refrigerator door was broken. Our washing machine was rusted due to poor storage and several other items damaged. We filed a claim and they paid us a whopping $170.DO NOT DEAL WITH BEKINS NORTHWEST. THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL, LAZY, AND INCOMPETENT.

We needed assistance moving a very large piece of printing equipment into our house and Bekins was able to help us. They were a pleasure to work with both on the phone and in person. The workers that they sent were on time, very professional and efficient. They understood that the equipment needed to be treated carefully and were thoughtful in their work. Very happy with the work they did!

Terrible experience. The person they sent to estimate the size of truck we needed underestimated so we had to hire other movers to finish the job, even though Bekin assured us they would move us in one trip.Due to severe allergies we requested the movers not wear cologne. So one of them doused himself heavily in cologne. This made on of our household unable to participate in the moving.They overcharged us by $150, and also charged us for boxes they didnt provide to us and we hadnt requested. I was able to get a refund but was treated very dismissively over the perfume issue, as well as them leaving so much of our stuff behind when they moved us.Totally unapologetic, and acted like they did a giant favor by refunding the overcharges.I would never use this local branch of Bekin again.

We used Bekins NW for a move of about 55 miles for a 2000 sq ft house. Unfortunately, it was an extremely unsatisfactory experience, and we would urge anyone who is considering them for a move to avoid them at all costs. They also operate under several different names (Olympic Moving and Storage), and we can only assume that it because the Bekins NW name has earned a terrible reputation.We called for a quote, which was completed fairly quickly. They made sure to let us know that any damage caused by their employee’s negligence is only covered at 60 cents per pound. Instead they recommended we purchase “Valuation” insurance. Because we had several flat screens to move and a fair number of other expensive high tech items we purchased the $0 deductible “replacement” insurance at a cost of $700 dollars. Yes, you read that right – insurance charges for one day of coverage costs almost as much as a year of homeowner’s insurance. They also charge an additional moving cost of $50 per television.They subsequently broke 2 flat screen televisions. They stripped the screws for the stand on one and they failed to remove the stand on the other and it broke off. Unfortunately there are no new replacement stands available for either. As a result I paid $200 to have one of the flat screens mounted to the wall. Not my first choice, but the only option available. I did not even attempt to try to get them to pay that cost. I made the mistake of trying to be reasonable.However I did expect them to pay out on the insurance for the second flat screen as it could not be mounted on the wall in the intended room. It took them weeks to send the claim form, and then when we did file the claim they delayed and then refused to pay the claim. Instead they wanted me to accept a stand from a junk recycler on Ebay that was scratched up and damaged. When I complained they pointed me to a clause in the insurance agreement (that they NEVER provided to me at the time of purchasing the insurance) and contended it was acceptable to send me used junk. Of course, the insurance agreement they provided after the fact says no such thing. That’s why it’s called “replacement insurance” on the agreement I signed.This company is absolutely engaged in fraudulent insurance practices. Their main objective is to scam their clients. As a result, I am filing a claim with the state attorney general, and sending a report to the Better Business Bureau. I am also considering filing a small claims court lawsuit in order to recoup the utterly useless insurance they sold me.They also charged me an additional $600 fee to move my washer and dryer. Unfortunately, the person they sent to unhook it had no idea how to replace the gas cap on the dryer line. I had to find and hire another person to fix that. On the other end of the move they sent a teenage boy who did not know how to hook up a gas dryer. I had to wait several days to get a working dryer as a result.Avoid this company at all costs. They will scam you too.
