My son attends FSU and called to let me know the car had lost all coolant. We got the car to Furrin on a Sunday. Spider, one of the mechanics for Furrin, happened to be in the lot. He was super friendly and told me where I could leave the keys and a note. I spoke to Nicole early on Monday morning who indicated that she would see what she could do to work the car in even though I didn’t have an appointment. Even though they were slammed, Spider took the time to look at the car and had it fixed by Tues. afternoon. I received excellent communication from Nicole throughout the process. This is an excellent German auto repair shop. The staff is extremely professional, articulate, and very thorough with regard to listening and explaining automobile problems. I have 2003 Mercedes which required level B as well as power seat repair. They did an excellent job repairing everything. I strongly recommend Furrin Auto without reservation.

Nicole and the team at Furrin Auto is literally a life saver! I went to the stealership for a spark plug replacement and one was stuck and they didn’t try to remove it however still charged me $1000 for replacing three out of the four plugs. So I went to Furrin after a few recommendations and I’m grateful they took to the time to remove the stuck plug without any damage to my cylinder head (which cost thousands of $$$ to replace). Definition of going above and beyond! I’m new to Tallahassee and will be taking my Mercedes here for future services and repairs!

Honestly, this is the only place I take my car in all of Tallahassee now. The people are kind, and they always ensure that I know what they’ve done on my car and why the cost is what it is. I very much appreciate seeing the itemized receipts as it helped me compare to other places in town (Furrin was less expensive so I always just go here). They definitely treat you like you are valued. They will pick you up, as well as drop you off, when you’re without your car and have even provided a loaner on occasions. I have a mini and there is no place in town I’d take it other than here. Nicole (receptionist), Spider (mechanic), and Tom (owner) are great. Spider even took the time to show me how I could do some of the things on my own, like check my oil, the pressure number for my tires, and the line for my coolant.TLDR: great people, great service, great price.

I highly recommend Furrin Auto Repair.The message of low coolant level came on as I was traveling from Miami to Tallahassee. I called 2 other businesses for help. There was no appointments available. Then I was able to talk with Nicole on the 3rd business call to Furrin Auto. I explain to her what was my problem in the middle of Tropical Storm Elsa. She listened without making promises. I explain that I will be traveling back on Saturday. She said bring it in..We will see what the mechanics that specialize in Mercedes can do. My car was diagnose. Now, it is time to order parts. The parts was ordered. It was an excellent job done. I was able to travel back to Miami.

Its hard to find Quality BMW Repairs at a reasonable price, especially in Tallahassee. But if that what you need, I highly recommend this shop. They dont play around with your time or money. The Mechanics Know what they are talking about and get your vehicle back in your hands asap and your repairs guaranteed.

I’ve never had to take my car back for a failed repair, unlike other places I’ve gone to in the past. It’s a little more than going to a super lube or chain mechanic but the quality & lifetime of the repair is always better! Can’t speak more highly of the team there!

I have used Furin Auto two times thus far for service on my BMW and both times I have been extremely pleased with the pricing and service!

Took my car to get fixed, they highball me with an outrageous number of $4k to fix my car, then when asked for a breakdown of prices they change it to $2,500. I leave it there for a week and accidentally left a ramen packet in there. I now have rat feces in my car. They cut the cord to my washer fluid, scraped the cowling, and broke the battery cover. Will not be returning.

I was driving through Tallahassee and got stranded because my car wouldn’t start. The VW dealership jump started my car but told me they couldn’t help me for days and wished me “good luck” on my 300 mile drive, though my car would not restart when turned off and I was in an unknown city.I called Furrin and they told me to come on over.They were kind, professional, got me on the road and SAFELY.HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I always got great and timely service. They are honest and get the job done right. Prices are much more fair than other places. You get OEM parts for your vehicles. They are open early and not close until 6pm. Make an appointment so that they can get you in quicker.

I regret taking my car here. Almost $10,000 later and its still smoking shaking, no heater and idling up ALL of these issues wasnt a problem when I dropped it off. I had to return it 3 times after picking it up and this last time I just refuse to send it back because I know they are intentionally messing up my car. I guess they feel that I am black woman that dont know better. But I know I shouldnt have paid that much money for a ac compressor. If I had enough money I would sue. But they broke me and i cant afford to even pay for their horrible work. Now Im on the bus and using uber while my car sits in the yard after paying thousands to fix it.

My car, a 2005 Jaguar was taken in for the passenger airbag light that was on, they kept my car for 6 months and was not able to fixed it. When I picked up my car I didn’t inspect it like I should have before leaving the shop, I took it home and started to wash it and realized that the out side mirror had been replaced and the trunk had a crack right underneath the tag. I called and spoke with the Secretary about the damage and the driver side mirror and she was so nasty, Tom seem to be an good person but he needs to be more responsible for what his employees are doing. I want be taking nor recommending anyone to take their car there.

I brought my 2005 VW Golf 2.0L Gas vehicle in for a leak in the radiator. The folks are nice people and the service was done but I will not be taking my car back. Here is why:1. The replacement of the radiator is a cumbersome job on my car cause the front end needs to be opened up. I understand this, but after doing some research on the typical cost of the job and the parts, this job should have cost 500 or 600 tops. They charged me 1000+ to get it done.2. A couple of days after getting the car back, my engine light comes on. Well I finally got a chance to check it. Turns out that the code is for the Secondary Air Injection system. Taking a look at the engine, it turns out that my secondary air injection pump had been busted from all 3 of its mounts and the line from the manifold was broken.Looking at the engine further to try and figure out what happened, I found evidence of something heavy and steel being dropped on top of my motor. There are grommet gouges and a deep grove in the metal of my intake manifold on the top of my engine. There is also evidence of serious downward force on several pieces beyond the secondary air injection pump, such as my oil dip stick tube being busted.Furrin Auto techs did not tell me any of this. Needless to say, I will not be taking my vehicle back there. I will also do what I can to discourage others from getting ripped off in the same manner.

What ever you do, do not take your car to this repair shop. They are a bunch of thieves. Took my car to have one of the struts changed. Once they were finished and I went to pick up the car, they told me that my brake pump was bad and needed to be replaced. The cost was over $500. Decided not to do so even though they told me it would be very dangerous to drive the car in its current state. Took the vehicle to another shop close by. The mechanic there told me there was absolutely not nothing wrong with the vehicle. Be careful with these guys. I wouldn’t trust them at all

Ive got to say that these guys have some of the most impressive customer service Ive seen in a while. It quickly became apparent to them that I was not terribly knowledgeable when it came to cars. So after they diagnosed what was wrong with my Jetta, I came into the shop and was greeted by a mini presentation on exactly what was wrong (inclusive of pictures), and what the consequences of not fixing it would be. They even sent me a follow up letter in the mail to ensure that everything was still working properly. Furrin Auto will be my go to shop as long as I live in Tallahassee.

I go here for all of my current cars maintenance (2016 Ford Fusion). They are quick, kind, honest, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable about many makes and models of newer and older cars. I highly recommend this business.

I was once a loyal customer of the Furrin Auto, but 1 incident caused me NEVER to return again. My Mercedes C230 signal switch was not working and I went to Furrin. After 2 hours of diagnostic, costing me $190, Brandon told me it would cost me another $700 to fixed it? What?! $900+ to fix a signal switch? They claimed that the column sleeve was moving and a repair kit costing $450 is needed to fixed it. Due to the high cost, I decided not to fixed it.I went another workshop, free for diagnostic (Furrin charged me $190) and quoted me $270 for signal switch change (not some column sleeve issue). Standing by their words, they offer no charge if is not fixed. I decided to give it a try and guess what, is fixed! (saving me $500) But sadly, I wasted $190 on Furrin AutoCut it short, I will NEVER return to Furrin again. Costly and no guarantee. You should really think twice, maybe three or four times if you wanna spend the money with Furrin Auto

Went in to have the oil changed in my BMW 325i was given a price before I left it for the day. When I came back to pick it up they decided to charge me more because, “ it took more oil then I thought it would”. How would they suddenly not know how much oil is required for an oil change? When I asked the owner’s son this question, the guy was nasty about it. Needless to say I can’t recommend this place.

Only place I would take my vintage 73 VW Super Beetle. They were instrumental in getting her up and running after 23 years and currently help keep her running. Very fair and they never do anything that isnt needed.

Took my Audi in for service for a possible transmission problem.They had it for two days,and there was no communication on what was going on with the car. Finally I decided to just check on it after work. When I got there I asked the guy at the front desk what was going on with the car. He acted as if he didnt know which car was mine so I reminded him. He explained to that they couldnt get a reading off the car and that it may have to overhaul the transmission or put a new one in. I brought it to them cause I was referred by another transmission place that they were the only one that could work on it in Tallahassee.If I wanted someone to guess at what was wrong with the car I wouldve took it to a mechanic who does work in his backyard and yet I was charged 128.00 for a guess. No diagnosis,no communication,car not fixed= poor service

Absolutely worst service ever !! I took my car there, it took double the time they said it would and no communication at all.... We had to call there every time to see where my car was at with being fixed and they didnt even call when it was done.. They also said they would provide me a courtesy car for the 4 weeks it was in the shop but no call.. How do they expect you to go without your vehicle for 4 weeks when you have to work!!! TERRIBLE place and they charge outrageous amounts! Stay away. Very unprofessional and terribly ran...

I took my car to Furrin when I was in college and my son has now started FSU. His Jetta wouldnt start the other day and we had it towed to Furrin. They did a great job for him just like they did for me when I was there. I see that other reviewers have complained about the price. Furrin is expensive but they are worth every dime you spend. When you buy one of the cars they service you have to expect to spend more than other cars. I feel good that there is a shop that will take care of my sons car that I trust and has been in business for so long. Thank you Furrin for the consistent good work you do.

My experience with Furin Auto is I bought a used Jaguar from a used car lot and come to find out it had some serious issues. I had already gotten estimates from other places but I took it to Furin Auto because of their reputation as being the best in the business. They are not cheap and you get what you pay for but were great about doing an evaluation and letting me know up front how much the cost would be to fix the issues and any other stuff they thought needed to be done. They did a great job and I love the car now. I would definitely recommend Furin Auto.

A few weeks ago I took my 2010 Mini Cooper S to Furrin Auto because it was making a very violent rattling noise whenever it started up and shifted gears. The noise had happened previously (to not as much an extent), however it had always corrected itself with an oil change. I was describing this to Tom when the companys phone rang and he answered. I was completely fine with this, because I was in no hurry and he was the only one available. The phone conversation seemed pretty concise, with minimal small talk. Im not sure if he did it because he wanted to appease me or what, but he proceeded (when the customer was describing a problem) to take the phone away from his ear, roll it around along with his eyes. Try picturing a long, drawn out conversation with a person that goes Blah, blah, blah in a sarcastic manner. So this is the first thing that made me uneasy- did this man show that sort of disrespect to all of his customers?Another reason the service here is so terrible is because whatever they did to my car (if they even did anything) took about 4 hours. Like previously stated, I was in no rush and I simply killed time on campus right across the street. I had originally scheduled an oil change and a diagnostic for my car, which they did NEITHER of. Why did it take 4 HOURS to let me know this??I am a 20 year old, petite female. I am aware that stigmas exist that make me out to be naive when it comes to auto repairs. Although I dont claim to know much about cars, I take pride in having a retired Navy machinist for a mother who taught me basic concepts, so I knew not to trust these crooks!Furrin Auto told me that my 4 year old engine with 50,000 miles on it that was STILL RUNNING had to be replaced. Why, you ask? Because their ability to hear the engine run, and the fact that the dipstick for the oil was stuck in its chamber. They did not even hook the car up to a diagnostic or open the casing to the engine. Even though I saw right through this story, I played along and naively asked how much it would cost- $7285 was my quote.What floored me the most and secured my distrust in these men was the talk I had with Tom before I left. He was faking concern and advising that itd be more cost effective to sell my car on Craigslist or somewhere. His exact words (I made it an effort to memorize something as shady as this!) were You could have sold your car last week before the noise started, hell, you couldve even this morning when we drove it and it didnt make the noise. I mean, Im not telling you to deceive anyone, buuuutt.... if they didnt hear that noise you could make a pretty penny and theyd be none the wiser! HAS THIS MAN EVER HEARD OF LEMONS LAW?!!?!? You know, the one that legally requires you inform buyers of any major defects? Say he did know... He then blatantly told me, a supposed naive college girl, to break the law.My car was taken a week later to Tom Bush MINI in Jacksonville. Turns out what I had told them I suspected to be the problem was 100% spot on- it was my timing chain and carbon buildup. Of course when I told them my suspicions, they laughed in my face in a Oh how cute, she thinks she knows about cars! fashion.So in short, I wasted $40 and 4 hours for these sexist pigs to listen to my car noise and poke around my dipstick. I was lied to and was told to break the law. I thank my lucky stars that I had common sense and they obviously took for granted the idea that I hadnt any. It saved me over $4,000. I have tried to be as thorough and objective in my retelling of this experience, so I apologize for a super long review! Hopefully it helps you!

Made appointment for previously diagnosed issue with time to order parts ahead of appointment. Dropped car for appointment, no parts ordered, no communication, 2 days later still no parts, we had a tough week Now cant start till Monday... Complete waste of time and inconvenience. Paid for my $125 oil change and $35 tire inspection... And RAN to Capital BMW based on reviews.

I was a visiting scholar of FSU. I went Furrin Auto for flushing transmission oil of my car, VW.But, they were not kind to me and did wrong way to flush the transmission of my car. It was waste of time and money for me at that time. I have to find a mechanic to flush my trasmission again.Furrin Auto is the worst shop Ive ever visited in the world.
