I already have three Caterpillars on this passion vine. ( the third one is behind a leaf). The moment after I planted the white swamp milk weed, a monarh came over. It has been less than 2 weeks. None of my plants are dead, I been letting the afternoon showers water them. No effort.

Lovely nursery that offers gardening classes and has a lot of Florida native plants to choose from. They have an outdoor area with plants thats lovely to walk around and an indoor store that has gardening supplies and goodies such as cute shirts, natural soaps, and jams/seasonings.

This place is so cute and you could easily spend hours here with how many plants they have. Its really easy to find plants that are good for pollinators thanks to the signs on all the plants. The staff is really nice and friendly and can easily help you pick out what works for your garden. They also have classes here and both the classes and plants are well priced!

A homier experience than the other unnamed businesses in the area, NN provides excellent customer service, and is knowledgeable about their products. This is a GREAT place to learn about native wildflowers and their pollinators.

The place to go find your next addition to your garden! My wife and I have been searching for those beautiful purple coneflowers for some time time and low and behold there they were. Staff was friendly and helpful, I will be revisiting soon.

Great selection selection of plants. The best bargain that they have scoop your own soil and mushroom compost. Its around $2 for a five gallon bucket load. You might want to bring your own container.

Wow!! What a breath of fresh air! Such a beautiful setting. The staff is so helpful too. They make their own soil, and they have an amazing selection of plants, pottery and garden sculptures and benches. The prices are really good too! I would highly recommend this place for all your gardening and yard needs. They also had a class going on with an owl from an animal rescue. 5 stars are truly earned.

This is my favorite store in Tallahassee! Lush, shady and beautiful with great selection of native plants, flowers, veggies/herbs trees pots, and gifts. I bought a couple dozen plants for a butterfly garden here and they are all doing great! Excellent selection of Christmas trees and beautiful wreaths during the season. The staff is knowledgable and friendly. Great selection of high quality birdseed and bird houses/feeders/products. Nature inspired jewelry, books, soaps and lotions, honey, kids books and gifts and so much more!

Native Nurseries is a beautiful place filled with friendly people who know what theyre talking about. I had them put in some plants in my yard and they helped me with the plan, going off a drawing Id made and photograph of the yard. It looks great and was actually cheaper than they quoted. I had actually gone to Tallahassee Nurseries earlier in the year for their advice and the lady that came out didnt listen to me at all and wanted to charge me about 3 times as much. So glad I went to Native Nurseries.

I love visiting Native Nurseries and especially appreciate the expert advice. Sometimes that advice comes in owner Donna Legare’s newspaper columns, such as the latest one on the admirable qualities of the Blue Beech tree. It, her column, was pure poetry, and a big help to this gardener.

Knowledgeable staff and they take time to explain. The nursery carries a wide range of native to North Florida plants. The prices are reasonable for a non chain store.Happy to support local business.

This locally-owned nursery is always an absolute pleasure to visit. The delightful people who work there are always happy to share their gardening and nature related tips and are very knowledgeable and willing to help. Wonderful lectures are held many weekends. A wonderful shopping experience!

Christmas trees are really fresh and reasonably priced. I bought a cut tree last year. The needles stayed supple and didn’t drop for the full 6 weeks that I had the tree up.

I have pentas from Native Nurseries from three years ago that are still going strong and are about five feet tall now (theyre in a raised bed with a burlap canopy that keeps it warmer in the winter). I wont go anywhere else for the plants for my butterfly garden because I know that their plants will be hardy and healthy. And I love that things are labeled letting me know which butterflies like which plants and also which are native (which is good for a lot of reasons, but also because theyre usually easier to take care of and Im not the most conscientious gardener). Ive always found the staff to be polite, friendly, and helpful.

Native Nurseries is my go to place for low maintenance trees and other native plants, for garden soils, plant food, and various types of bird seeds. The staff is incredibly knowledgable and generous in their sharing of that knowledge. Just a half mile or so from frenzied Capital Circle, it is a low key oasis with some beautiful water features. The value here is, in my opinion, the best in Tallahassee by far.

Beautiful selection of native flowers and herbs. One of the only places I can find sorrel. Plants healthy and vibrant.

Native perennials that are butterfly larval host plants AND are pesticide free abound here at Native Nurseries. Since Feb. 2019 I’ve traveled several states from southern CA, to Waco and Houston, TX, to central Iowa, southern LA, and here to Tallahassee, FL. NN was the only place that I could find rue, other uncommon milkweed varieties, and many other hard-to-find host/nectar plants. There’s also a terrific supply of butterfly egg/larval screened enclosures for captive-raising/release of lepidopteran species.The knowledgeable staff were helpful in guiding me to the plants I needed, and placards placed on plants throughout the shaded nursery gave details about the plants.This was by far, the best quality native nursery I’ve ever found with plants that bees, butterflies, and birds need to thrive.

A great little nursery, focused on native plants and heirloom vegetables. The native focus limits selection some, but they often have very rare natives like ground orchids. Very shady, with nice water features. Always with a visit.

Their supremely helpful staff will help you identify the best of their mostly (but not exclusively) native plants. The gift shop has all sorts of local/regional goods. Theyve got great birdseed, aromatic Christmas trees, and a wide variety of shrubs and other plants.

I love Native Nurseries, the name, their plants, and the information they give out about birds. My yard has improved greatly with plants and bird related items from them. I love that their focus is native plants and animals.

Going to Native Nurseries is always a pleasure. Everyone there is so helpful and knowledgeable.

Prices are good, options are large, local business ( support!), friendly staff, large selection for outdoor/indoor plants, plant seeds, flower bulps, bird feed, hay etc. Walking into a magic fairyland and fairytales. This garden center has a whimsical feel to it when you turn into their mulch laden roads and park under the towering trees that provide shade and comfort. I went closer to dusk time and was greeted with a handful of customers ( they close at 6pm, check timings) There were plenty of employees who were walking around and available with a friendly smile to provide assistance and answer any questions. They have a gift shop inside as well a seed shop and bird supply if you choose to set up a feeder outside. Outside they have a wide assortment of plants and nicknacks you can put out in your garden or create a tiny one with decorations inside your home. They have labels describing the types of plants they have, ones for the brown thumbed ( lol!) and others for house plants to help purify your home air! I loved that. They have places to sit, swings to swing leisurely and a small fish pound in the front and back. They also have a hay truck in the fun, a great fall photo option if you ask me. Finally, right when you park, there is a bulletin board they have filled with up coming activities ( November 2018 and January 2019) i took a picture of it to share.
