Took my old Cox boat trailer that is original to my 1984 Boston Whaler to Capital Hitch on West Tennessee Street for replacement of wheel hubs and leaf springs. The work done was excellent, and they used quality galvanized parts for marine use and charged a reasonable price. The front desk staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. What a pleasant experience!! My thanks to these good folks, and they just earned future business from me and the friends Ill tell about this quality business.

They were able to fit me in and made an emergency repair so I could continue my vacation.

These guys were like a NASCAR pit crew getting on my trailer. I had a catastrophic failure on a three axle eight lug heavy duty boat trailer hauling a 37 foot Freeman to Venice Louisiana. I managed to get the boat trailer to their shop and they had all of the parts, and their shop foreman Alex went above and beyond the call of duty to get us back on the road as quickly as possible. I cannot say enough about the customer service and commitment to excellence this place has. The only regret is that they do not have a Shop in Jacksonville Florida! Thank you again for a job well done and I cannot give them a higher recommendation then I have. They are spectacular

So I drove in because the lights on my truck were not working. They pulled my truck around back and in less than 20 minutes it was done. When I went to pay they told me no charge I would definitely recommend them and they have all my future truck and trailer business Thank you Capital Hitch and trailer!!!

We are from North Carolina. Came down to Florida to buy a boat and at 11:30 in the afternoon on our way out saw that the trailer lights were not working although everything seemed to be hooked up correctly. The Ford dealership wouldn’t give us the time of day and we had to get out of state QUICK or we would never make it back to NC in time to be back at work tomorrow. We REALLY did not want to travel up 95 for 8+ hours into the evening with no lights on the trailer, especially in foggy/rainy weather. Capital Hitch saw us within an hour, and had the problem fixed within 30 minutes. (The ground wire was sliced) Under $50 for in and out service that literally saved our day! I got a quote of $189 from Jim to repair a trailer I had left with them. I approved the price but when I picked the trailer up the bill was $261. Jim wasn’t there and another man told me that’s normal.I’m in business and would loose customers quickly if charged more than I quoted.Just be aware that quotes mean nothing here.

I brought a used trailer that I had just purchased to Capital Hitch and asked them to inspect the brakes and lights. I explained that this was my first RV and wanted it set up correctly. They charged me over $800 and said everything on the RV was ready to go. On our first camping trip, when I disconnected the new light harness from the truck which they had installed, the entire light harness unit fell off the truck and onto the ground because the torque of the screws was too much the both the metal screws broke into two pieces. Capital Hitch also completely forgot to connect the breakaway cable. This failure to pay attention to the details of what should have been a minor job, was over priced and not done correctly.

I wont use these guys again. I spent $500 for new wheels tires and bearings re-packed. The first time I go to use the trailer the wheels nearly fall off cause this place failed to tighten the lug nuts. Can not recommend this place. I wont go back.

I’m Willard Nipper owner of Nipper’s Concrete Inc. and have been a customer for a long and had the worst experience ever. Went up there to have brakes done for my trailer and have my jack welded on . Welded my new Jack to the old Jack and never removed the old jack and charged me $140.00 and could not even use the new jack the way it was welded on there . After I was told that it could not be done any other way I went down the road and had it removed and re-weld for half the price . After I was so angry about having to do that I decided to go back to tell them yes it could be done and to be told that he wasn’t worried about losing me as a customer because I was on my way out at the age of 57 and was told that his uncle died at 45 . And told me I don’t need to worry about getting my $140 back and to get out . So letting everyone know if you are in your 50’s not worried about losing you as a customer because your time is short . I will never use them again and will bad talk them to anyone asking about Capitol hitch .

5 star hitch installation is herevery professional. once you advise what vehicle putting it on and use of hitch they look up exact price for the hitch parts and then quote you an installed price. staff is very patient in answering your questions and making sure you get setup you need. very neat and clean waiting room and friendly staff. Price is very competitive. solid experience from first call to driving off lot with new installed hitch.

Owner has a bad attitude. Tried to repair fender, mounted it so that when load was placed on trailer it caused fender to rub one of the tires causing a blow out. Luckily it was very low speed or could have lost my tractor or been killed. Owner could care less even after I tried to discuss it face to face. Offered no solutions except for me to waste time and money to bring trailer in despite having extensive pictures of problems they caused. The rest of the staff is nice and helpful and they have a good selection of parts at high prices which I didnt mind paying until they wouldnt take accountability for their mistake.

Worse service I have ever received. First I placed a call explained the product I purchased for my horse trailer(a product recommended by them btw). Was total $80.oo per hours would take 1 1/2 to install. Called back to set appointment so I thought to take off work bring in the next day to be told when I get there they cant get to it until following week. Now I was stuck. I had stuff in the frig that I would have removed prior to bring trailer. Then they were not accommodating at all, so I had to remove everything and load in my truck. Then I get a phone call later telling me its not going to be $80.00 an hour but $125.00 because brought in my own product(the one they recommended it get) but because I didnt go through them now I was charge the $125.00. Was not told that the Friday when I showed them the product while I was there and after I dropped the trailer off. Oh then I was called again later to tell me that it was not going to work. Bottom line I was charged $308.00, trailer was not fixed, and it was worse off when I got there. The jack was damaged where they did work on it, so I paid for them to damage my trailer. Oh and they wanted to charge me an extra $600.00 to remove the jack and put a new one on that I needed to purchase. You want great quality work done on your trailer or RVs, with EXCELLENT customer service at GREAT prices go to Highway RV in Cairo, Georgia. Could not ask for better service.

Capital Hitch has helped me many times over the years with personal and company vehicles. I have always appreciated their customer service and support.

Got charged $96 by these folks to check out a brake problem I was having on my dump trailer. Was told that there was no problem and that the plug was just loose. I did what they told me to do with the plug (push the contacts towards the center with a screw driver and apply dielectric grease) but that didnt fix my problem. When I got to doing some research I found that when trailers have electric lines run through the axle, like mine, they often degrade quickly. I immediately pulled the electric lines out of the axle and found that in my rear axle water had been sitting and caused the electric line insulation to crack. This caused the brake system to short out. Probably took me 15 minutes to fix once I figured out the problem.For a business that specializes in trailers it seems that this business does not have knowledge of basic and common trailer issues. For $96 my problem should have been fixed and I should not have been left scratching my head and scouring youtube to find people who actually know things about trailers.

I was able to find all the parts I needed to repair my trailer. The guy behind the counter was extremely helpful. Im sure Ill be back soon.

I went to Capital Hitch in order to get a cap for my truck. I was leaving town in three and a half weeks and needed the covering for the cross country trek. I informed them that I absolutely needed it before leaving town and was assured that it would be ready in two to three weeks. So, after charging me a $500 depoist, those three weeks pass with little contact. The week before I was to leave, still having heard nothing, I called them back to inquire about my cap. I was told they would call me back. (This is a regular practice as any time you seek an answer, they inform you theyll call you back.) One full day later, they finally called back and informed me that the cap was now on the truck and would be ready the following Tuesday. A full FOUR DAYS after I was supposed to leave, and well after the original three week promise. I was leaving that weekend, this was absolutely impossible and so I had to cancel my order. When I asked the guy on phone what I needed to do? His comment was drive to Indiana. Then I was told they would have to call me back again (naturally.) And, finally, for their own incompetence, they then attempted to charge me a $250 restocking fee. Being yanked around, ignored, total lack of care for the customer, and attempting to still profit from their own poor service. Do yourself a favor and avoid this shady business like the plague. Capital Hitch is one of the only places in town, and youd STILL be better off taking your business elsewhere.

I was preparing for a move from Tallahassee, FL to Tulsa, OK and pulling a uhaul trailer. I had initially went there to get a trailer light connector. Upon TJ and staff looked closely to the hitch they realized I would die or kill someone else if I pulled the trailer as it was currently hooked up. I was already nervous about this trip. So when they told me I really needed to replace the hitch and they wouldnt be able to get to it until 1 pm. I was there at 10 am and needing to get on the road asap. I just broke down and cried as TJ was telling me this. He said I will be right back. TJ came back and said I do not work in the garage anymore but I have already spoke to my boss and I am going to do this for you right now. Upon TJ working on my truck he found multiple issues that could have caused damage to myself or someone else pulling the trailer as is on the highway. I was out of there and on the road before noon. TJ went WELL ABOVE what was expected and put the customer first!!! This customer service is what I expect from everywhere I spend money, but TJ exceeded my expectations especially on a tough day for me. THANK YOU TJ FOR YOUR CARING HEART AND PUTTING ME AS THE CUSTOMER FIRST! IT WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!!!!

Got a $300 hitch installed on our van Thursday morning so that we could go out of town on business towing a trailer. Left after installation to find that the employee had forgotten to reattach the exhaust when completed. (Something I would think shouldnt be forgotten) Friday afternoon, when picking up the trailer, come to find that the brake wiring was ineffective and had not been installed correctly. The business trip had to be cancelled. This employee and business do not take pride in their work. If they did, they would have examined/tested the work that had been done and fixed any improprieties before sending someone on the road. Ridiculous!!!!

This place was the only one that was willing to help us. We had an incident on the road on our way to ichetuknee, we call a few places and they said it would take a few days... in here they said come and we will do our best to put you on the road as soon as possible. Thats exactly what they did. Excellent service, great people. TJ was amazing, it felt like we were part of his family and not strangers or customers. Thanks Capital Hitch and TJ.
