Every time I’ve gone I have had such an amazing experience. All staff is very friendly and always make sure you can get the best service possible. I love how the books are so well taken care of and are very organized and easy to find. Even on busy days the staff does amazing. Definitely my favorite BAM location!

BMA did disappointed me. I drove a good 30mls to pick up Janet Evanovichs new book. I was told only the top authors were on sale the only ones get 40% off. FYI BAM, Janet Evanovich is a top selling published author...

It is refreshing to see such a large bookstore dedicated to selling books first and foremost. New and used books of all genres, plenty of d magazines, games, and more. Friendly and helpful staff as well

Good luck finding help in this store. The only person that I could find to help was the cashier. I did not know it at the time, but a manager walked by me multiple times and did not say a word. Then walked to the back with another employee and never return. There were several other people waiting at the service desk that is located in the middle of the store.

This store is always well maintained, clean, and stocked full. In the age of digital its nice that a physical store has SO many options.

Great atmosphere for reading and book exploring. I can also say they do have an amazing coffee and complimentary food station as well.

Employees under some pressure, they seem understaffed which makes them irritable understandably but otherwise great store.

This was a great place to find books. It had wonderful employees and the best coffee bar in Tallahassee. Being a book worm I highly recommend this spot. Cant believe Ive been missing out on the bookstore.

One of my favorite memories is visiting BAM with the kids.

Absolute terrible bait and switch. Cashier told me they were doing a free magazine promotion and to circle three magazines on a flyer. NEVER told me they were going to charge my credit card and auto renew after 60 days. Very dishonest and non transparent business. I have now been on the phone for 20 minutes trying to get out of this nightmare subscription I never wanted to begin with.

This particular books a million seems to always be going through renovations when Im here. As such, the layout in inconsistant and ever changing and the front of the store is always baren and unattractive. Despite this, it is still a full Books a Million, and always worth walking around if youre looking for a book, or just have some time to kill.

BAM is making sure that proper procedures are in place to keep everyone safe. The staff is as friendly and helpful, as usual! They have some great bargains and a program for buying back books from customers!

Saturday I had to drop off my glasses to get the lenses replaced. Since it took about an hour my sister and I stopped by Books-A-Million. We were masked up and the minute we walked in it was like I miss you so much. It was just so wonderful to walk through there. We checked out all the new books, books marked down, manga, albums, romance, tee shirts, calendars... Ok everything. While in the marked down hardbacks, I found Surrender, New York, by Caleb Carr. As a devote fan of TNTs Alienist I have it in my heart to start collecting this author, and for those who havent watch the Alienist series, just do it. Great writing and acting. Also bought a new bookmark. My sister was like dont you have a bunch bookmarks already and I said, Yeah, dont you have a bunch? Needless to say Im a bookworm that has to have new bookmark for my new book and of course I found the perfect one in Books-A-Million. It says I like big books and I cannot lie!

No help to find what I was looking for and the girl at the coffee counter was extremely rude, very disappointed with my visit on Friday, July 23 around 1:00, Ill find another bookstore to go to.

Called ahead & they had the books I wanted at customer service, including a nearly perfect used copy. Thats great customer service.Unfortunately they didnt have the bargain book in store even though the online store said it was supposed to be in stock.

Staff are very pleasant and love recommending books based on your interests. I came in with no information other than a genre that I liked and left with 3 great books.

There arent many bookstores left. This is a gem.

I went to Books A Million a few days ago to buy funko pops. I’ve gone a few times for them and they never really have what I want or what it says they have online.So I got the only funko they had a wanted and went to checkout. I got to checkout and the cashier was checking someone out with a lot of funkos. It turns out it was their mom. The cashier is holding the good funkos in the back so their mom can come pick them up. I literally heard the cashier say “I have more funkos in back I forgot to give to you. Just get them next time.”I really wanted to say something but I didn’t because the parents were right there. That’s why I’m letting all you know. Don’t expect any good funkos if you go here. All the good ones are in the back.Anyone else noticed the good funkos are always gone?

Love this place! Everything is so easy to find! The membership they also offer is so well worth it, especially when you are a regular visitor!

Ive been waiting six years for the next book in my favorite series. Instead of ordering from Amazon or getting it online cheaper, I decide to keep my money in the community and go to Books-A-Million.I ordered the one signed copy that they had. My name isnt John Smith, or anything coming. No one knew in my social circle that I ordered the book, and the only friend I would have talked about it with lives out of town.When I went to Books-A-Million to pick my signed copy up, they told me that I had already came and picked it up. at no point did I pick up the book, or send someone else to pick it up for me. There is no way anyone could have known I ordered the book. They decided to give my signed copy to somebody else.6 years Ive been waiting for this. in six years Ive reread this series, all 15 books, at least half a dozen times. And now because I trusted Books-A-Million, I cant even get a signed copy online. Theyre all sold out. Because of their little mistake I cannot complete my set of signed hard covers.the young lady working the register was polite about it. I cant say the same about the manager. I cant recommend the store.

Nice relaxing to read books

Ive ordered a book in store to be shipped (which was in stock but not in store).Customer service in store was fine but I ordered on Jan 16th was told 3-7 days. Which was fine I even waited days after that to email the support just to check a status and no response. Its now Feb 5th and still no response from them and now it says I cant cancel my order. Customer service online is terrible and Im very disappointed because Ive bought many books in store and wanted to buy more. I ordered same book on ebay and it has already shipped same day . I would like a response from someone at some point. Poor customer service.

Fair warning: Its pricey. BUT... you get what you pay for. While the books dont literally number in the millions, the quantity, selection, and diversity of reading material are quite satisfactory. They have cookbooks, fantasy novels, biographies, historical fiction novels, non-fiction books, religious materials, research materials, childrens books, classic literature, and more! Their gift collection is impressive, too. And did I mention they have a coffee shop? I disappear into this place for hours. Its a haven for a bookworm.

Lots of new and gently used books. Good selections. Also games puzzles and more. A little pricey however.

The barrage of offers at checkout is just so offputting. I came for a book, I found that book, let me pay for that book and leave without having to look into the ashamed eyes of the clerk and tell him/her, I just want the book five or six times.

Profoundly rude management. Was harassed by a manager while his embarrassed employees looked on with shame and disgust at his actions. I had a membership & bought books on a nearly weekly basis. Not after this encounter. Wont be returning to the store until I feel that I can browse without being harassed.

Getting harder and harder to find book stores with more books then everything else. With a name like Books-A-Million, one would think they would have more books then anything else.

I would imagine these stores will go under within the next 5 years if not sooner. When you look online for a book and it says it’s in store then it makes sense to swing by and pick it up. This is exactly what I did only to find the books from this author were moved. I decided to walk the store to see if I could find them on my own. After about 3 trips around the entire store I had no luck. After that I decided to go to the customer service desk to see if they could locate it for me. After waiting about 15 minutes for someone to help me they look it up and verify they have it in store for the price I found online and in the mass market paperback. They tell me where it is located and I inform them it isn’t there and that area is cleaned out like they have been moved somewhere else. They then ask for help and take me to a table with the hardback for $20. I told them I was looking for the paperback and was informed they had no idea where it was in the store. It is extremely frustrating that the employees don’t know where to find things in the store. I’ll keep ordering from Amazon from now and skip this store.

Good selection of books and things, the layout is different, had a little trouble finding the checkout register. Also, the clerk was quite pushy about there seasonal sales promotion.

When my kids were young if go here, get a coffee, and watch them play on the Thomas the Tank Engine table. It was a pleasant place to idle away some time. The Thomas table is gone, but its still a nice place to spend some other time looking and books and related items. Wrong this makes me want to go there and get a Mocha.

I Love Books A Million. I wish they wouldnt move everything around the store, and the staff isnt very involved, but they are always happy and friendly. Its a nice environment. I dont recommend going on Saturdays if you dont like children, because they have a reading for kids on Saturdays, and they can be kind of loud. Other than that, they have a very wide range of reads, color books, calendars, toys and collectibles.

What a huge variety of books! Theyve definitely got something for everyone. For those of you who play D&D, Pathfinder, or are interested in role playing games of that nature, BAM has the largest selection Ive seen in any of the bookstores in town! They also have popular manga seemingly up to date (BNHA/MHA for example).

The place was well kept up and the selection was really good. I love browsing though the different genres. The atmosphere is very nice and the coffee at the shop is also pretty good.

Great books new and used at great prices

The variety of books were good. However, they only provided backless benches for you to sit in. This was my first time at this particular BAM so finding the checkout was a bit difficult. Signage wasnt available until I was shown where to go. Over all Id go back but wouldnt peruse more books due to lack of seating.

The store is clean, beautifully displayed, and easy to find things in. I even buy a cup of coffee and sit in the internal cafe and read a smattering of whatever compels me at that moment to pay attention to it: so many ideas, information, and entertainment. Whoever created their internal system gets five stars. Good job!

This Books-A-Million is a very beautiful store. I honestly hadnt been in quite a while and my holiday shopping trip was a perfect experience. The store was very nicely organized, clean, friendly staff, and inspiring choices. I found gifts I had never even thought of before browsing here. If you havent been to a bookstore in a long time go to this one. It will really inspire you.

The GM was FANTASTIC. ... initially he dropped what he was doing to help me with an item....upon going to my car discovered that my keys were on the front seat (doors locked) ...I asked him for a coat hanger, I didnt have one but he went in the rear and made me up a wire and hook from several pieces of wire.... IT WORKED PERFECTLY.... THANKS TO MUCH...!

Used to be my favorite store. Hoping the poor selection is from it being right after Christmas.

Awesome. I love this store. They have everything. And if by some slim chance the do not have what you are looking for then they can get it. I always go late in the day and wind up leaving close to closing time. They are not busy or crowded during this time of day ( I dont know about the rest of the day). There are helpful, friendly employees who know books and know the store.

A million books but not the one Im looking for. I was researching local flora and fungi, nothing good for Florida there (or even the south-east). Disappointing. They should have books for this region at this store for any/all wildlife (I felt).

I went looking for a newly published book. I found it immediately on the newly published table just inside the front door. I also did some light browsing to see if there was anything else interesting. The store is laid out logically and the staff are helpful, so it is easy to look for various genres. There is also a small coffee shop and various places to sit and read throughout the store. Checkout is efficient.
