Stopped in here to see if they had a carpet remnant to put on the Floor of our garage under our car.Talked with Jan. She was so helpful. She went out back to see if installers had anything in the dumpster.Jan came back with a installer that had a LARGE and NEW piece of carpet, at least 6’ by 6’. Installer said he was just going to put it in the dumpster and he put it in the trunk of our car.All the time they were very nice, even though we were not buying anything.Wow nobody does that anymore.We offered to buy them lunch but they would not have it. Just wanted to be helpful.Well when we do need carpeting for our house they will definitely get our business.Thanks guys 😀

BUYER BEWARE!!! We have had a terrible experience with Southern Flooring, from almost the beginning. I wanted wood floors throughout the entire house and new tile in the bathrooms. We had to move out for a week so they could install the floor; I was told we could move back in on a Sunday. When my husband got back to move the furniture back in from the garage, he discovered that they hadn’t reinstalled our toilets, which he had to do since Southern Flooring was closed. They also hadn’t completed the flooring job, so I had to leave (with a 2 year old and a 2 week old infant) for a few days so they could complete. Before I had even paid the second half of the invoice, I found a long crack in one of the boards. Shawn sent his flooring installer who removed it and replaced it. Within days, another board split. The floors have continued to deteriorate over the year. After months of emailing and calling Shawn, he brought in a floor inspector, and according to his report the floor was a “manufacturing defect”. Months and months later, after emailing and finally submitting a claim with the Dept of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Shawn gave me the phone number of the distributor and told me to fabricate a lawyer: “I’d inform him you have an attorney and you are waiting to see how this final push works out.”. I eventually spoke with the manufacturer (Somerset Flooring) and was told that there had never been a valid installation report, and that all of the damage that I detailed was due to moisture, therefore making my warranty invalid and directed me back to Southern Flooring. I was also told that they had credited Southern Flooring in order to repair boards; Southern Flooring denies this yet I have a letter (attached in photos) issuing the credit. Southern Flooring is now refusing to do anything further for us, and here we are. Boards deteriorating all over the house and the company that I purchased the floor from refuses to help. I have had to hire a lawyer; if Southern Flooring really cared about their clients, they would re-floor our house and sue the manufacturer themselves.

Mike Money at Southern Flooring helped me pick the perfect floating flooring to help me rid my house of the horrible carpet it was afflicted with. Mike, Julian and their team were very professional and fast. They obviously knew what they were doing and were able to install within a week of me picking out the style and color I wanted. Thanks for your help! I love my little space so much more now!

I had to do an involuntary remodel a few years back and used Southern Flooring because my parents did when I was a kid. What a mistake!! I literally left the store in tears a few times because I was so frustrated with how terrible the service was and that I was getting nowhere in actually getting new floors. They undervalued the replacement of carpet squares in one room to my insurance company by almost 50% and I ended up having to put lesser quality carpet in my sunporch because of it. Looking back, I wish I had gone to another company. The installers screwed up a decent portion of my laminate and they never would agree to come back and fix it. Fast forward to this year and I wanted to replace the carpet in the masters with the same laminate. I had a few boxes left and was hoping they might be able to find enough to do the room (I was NOT going to use their installers). Big surprise they were super unhelpful again. The owner has a serious attitude problem. I gave these jerks like $15k to redo the majority of my floors and I never felt valued as a customer. I plan to redo my entire house flooring at some point and I will not be using Southern Flooring

They installed hard wood floors and removed all the carpet in our home. They did a good job helping us match the existing 21 year old hard wood. The entire process from sales, selection, delivery to installation was top notch. I highly recommend.

Terrible experience with this company. They sold us flooring that is now defective due to improper moisture readings, and now refuse to make it right. The OWNER of the company personally dealt with us and didnt take accurate readings. We have been forced to hire a law firm to try to get Shawn Yoakam (owner of Southern Flooring) to stand by the product and installation that we purchased. This company will take your money but not stand behind it when something goes wrong.

Purchased hardwood flooring that we were going to install ourselves. Worked with Mike Money, he was extremely helpful and even came over to the house to look at the area we were going to do the install. The flooring came in when it was supposed to, and we had a very easy time installing it and it looks great. Mike was great to work with and we recommend him.

We love our new laminate floors installed by Southern Flooring. They did a great and efficient job with very little mess left behind. They came back and finished up in a timely manner. We especially want to give a thumbs up to Mike Money who was the salesperson that we dealt with from the beginning. He has gone beyond what he had to do and we appreciate him so much. We would highly recommend you contacting him if you want new flooring or carpet.

My wife and I visited the company and spoke with an individual about our application (this was after waiting for 20 minutes for someone to even notice). The person was helpful, and they had a tile we liked so we schedule a meeting for them to come look at the application. I re-scheduled my calendar so as to be home for the meeting, but the representative never even bothered to come. Despite having my phone number, he did not see fit to call to explain. Needless to say, we are going elsewhere for all our future flooring needs.

I have a house that has been used as a rental and the renters left the carpet in dreadful condition, reeking of cat urine and smelling up the house. Called Mike Money on Wednesday; had a quote Wednesday; had new carpet on Friday and it looks fantastic. The house is now ready to go on the market, thanks to Southern Flooring and Mr. Money. Couldnt be happier. Everything looks great (and smells great).

Despite its name, Southern Flooring is THE PLACE to go if you are looking for tile. They have the best selection I found in town, whether you are looking for floor tile, bathroom tile, or decorative tile. I love the tile in my renovated kitchen and bath.

Great job at a reasonable price for vinyl and carpeting job. Mike Money and Rick are attentive and left my home cleaner than when they came. I would definitely use them again.

Please take this review with a grain of salt as I want to be fair to the company. First the good: I called Southern Flooring because a box store let me down and I had to cancel a $6000 order with them. I let Southern know what happened and that time was of the essence, as my son was starting University in two weeks. They were extremely acomodating and were able to begin work in the specified time. Now the bad: while work was completed in time, there were a lot of very shotty work, specifically with the baseboards. One of the closets was even left imcompleted. Carpeting looked good on the surface, but upon closer inspection in the closet where the washer and dryer were at the carpet was left unfinished and just floating. I ended up hiering people to come fix all the leftovers that were undone. If you are going to contract Southern Flooring for any work I would suggest that you not have any time contraints or be in a hurry. And make sure ALL the work is done before you pay in full.

Mike Money and the entire team at Southern Flooring are professional and hard working. I was in a time crunch when I called Mr. Money and he helped me through my bathroom remodel with no problems along the way.

My wife and I had never purchased new carpeting. Fred at Southern Flooring did a great job explaining the differences between whats available, and he helped us avoid a few rookie mistakes in choice of color & style. We are very satisfied with our final choice. The installers did a great job too. It was obvious the installer in charge has a lot of experience. Its a big job stalling 1,600 square feet of wall-to-wall carpet so it did require part of a third day to install even with furniture already moved, but the installers careful attention to detail made it well worth the wait.Were looking for bathroom tile, etc. and well gladly use Southern Flooring again.Jeff, June 13, 2016

Very professional yet friendly . Chad is helping me pick my tiles, the moment I walked in he was very prompt and within an hour he was at my place taking measurements and sent me a quote ( which was too expensive ) Im not sure if their prices are higher than others or thats the norm but if money isnt the issue, this place takes care of you .
