I walked into Lesters Moon Fine Jewelry today and they were able to help right away. They did a quick touch up and shine. My ring and I were well taken care of. Excellent service and so quick. I had several repairs, changes made to some existing jewelry, coins turned into pendants and purchased some new pieces. Everything was perfect. Brought a nice onyx stud earring to lesters for a minor repair. the repair was sloppy and lasted almost a month. Took it to gem collection to be repaired yet again and its held up for more than two years.

(TL:DR, Wanted to sell scrap gold, Lesters lowballed at $100. Instantly got $200 at Capital coin and Diamond. )I had a pair of vintage cufflinks that I really didnt know much about, besides the fact that they had some gold in them. I wished to sell the scrap gold for whatever it was worth, given I was tight on money. Lesters originally offered me $100 which I thought was acceptable, at first. I then enquired to approximately how much gold was in the cufflinks. The employee, Zach was his name I believe, said about 10 grams. Zach had been very helpful and amiable with me so I felt comfortable asking about the price. I looked up what the melt value of 10 grams of 14k gold would be on multiple websites... They all said about $230. I shared this with the employee, and he gave me a few reasons why it was so low... Youre never going to get full melt value, I also have to hold it for 15 days.You know what Lesters....Our country used to operate on a gold standard, it used to be currency... its one of the safest investments you can make...how does 15 days equate to such a low price? Yet, they offered me less than 50% melt value....absurd. So, I went to Capital Coin and Diamond on Apalachee Parkway...$200. They offered me $200 immediately for the same scrap gold.Twice as much than what Lesters was offering. If youre looking for a fair deal...be careful, you may not find it here.
