I went to University Shoe Repair to have slip-resistant soles put onto my favorite, most comfortable pair of shoes so I could use them for work.Gary did the job, but the right shoe ended up with a bump in the middle of the sole, which made the shoe unwearable. He let me try some inserts, but they didnt help.He said, what do you want me to do? I said, give me my money back. He said, Thats not fair to me, I did the work. I said, so Im out fifty bucks and a pair of shoes? He had no answer to that. So Im out fifty bucks and a pair of shoes.

I had Gary replace the soles of shoes right before attending a wedding and it couldnt have came out any better. I will be back here soon

Recommend for shoes...my boots repaired well.However, my backpack purse straps were not done so well. I added a picture to show how the glue used to adhere the part where the backpack straps stitching on top were coming loose is very visible. I should have asked if they were going to sew or glue the straps back on.*update* Even though the repair is not visibly pleasing to look at, it does seem to function/hold up so I use it for casual use and updated the review.

I brought in a pair of 2005 steel toe jordan 10s and trusted this man with these gems ... AND MAN WAS I IMPRESSED shoe has been worn all day no issues and even repainted them to look even better couldn’t be happier have been wanting to fix these since forever thanks again he will receive more of my business

I love a good cobbler and this is it. My favorite pumps were not particularly expensive leather pumps, but comfy as a 4 stiletto can be and the heels snapped in half while I was wearing them. I took them many places to try to get the stiletto replaced and got nowhere for 8 months. Finally, I found University Shoe Repair and they did the work with a week or so. They did a beautiful job and my only complaint is that they shortened the heel a bit. I highly recommend them. Theyre super nice, super knowledgeable, and do great work and will take all me shoes here to be resoled and reheeled in the future.

This was my first time ever getting a pair of shoes fixed. I had black leather sandals that I paid a lot for but some of the straps were just a bit too lose so I came here to see if they could tighten them. The cost was completely reasonable and the staff were so kind and helpful. The sandals fit perfectly now! The guy at the front also kindly shined the straps for me free of cost. Definitely will be coming back.

I had never bothered to get shoes repaired before because I’d always worn very cheap shoes but when I left my beloved Doc Martins in the back of my car in the hot Florida sun causing the soles to separate I knew I had to do something. They looked brand new when I picked them up a few days later! Not only did they fix the sole problem but they also polished them! Multiple scratches and scuffs after years of hard use just disappeared. I hadn’t expected that! The guy behind the counter said “when we do something we do it right”. Love that pride in workmanship. I will definitely be returning.

This was my first time at the location and having shoes repaired. I called ahead for pricing and availability to change heel tips on my shoes. The gentleman was very helpful and courteous. I went right over and he replaced the heel tips while i waited (about ten minutes).The shoes are good as new now, which i really needed because i had a wedding to go to the next day.They have great service and pricing. I will be going back and recommending them to family and friends.

I took 2pairs of shoes there one to be stretch and one was too big and I’m telling you I’m so please with the work they did I’m 100 percent satisfied.good job gentlemen.

Ive been going here for about 20 years. When the older Romanian couple owned it. Was happy to see a younger generation assume the helm with the same Committment, Quality & Dedication. The Alterations also are of the same quality. Happy Customer!

Im not giving a real rating yet, but it requires a rating to post, and Ill update this later after my repairs. I described the problems on both sets of shoes that need repair and he said theyre simple and fast repairs (which Id already diagnosed), and he was EXTREMELY upbeat ant courteous. If his repairs are as great as his demeanor hes getting a 10 on a scale of 5!!! ;)

I was looking for a shoe repair place, read the previous posts, and decided to try them out. They did a great job! Its a family business - a husband and wife who have over 40 years of experience! (Theres an article about them posted on the wall of their shop and it said something along those lines. :) Anyway, they get two thumbs up from me!

Wife was nice but husband was not friendly at all. He would hardly talk to me and made me feel very uncomfortable. I felt like he could care less if he had my business. I brought in a pair of shoes and a purse to be fixed. He didnt take the time to fit my shoes or purse on me the first time, so I had to go back in again. I really should have taken my things and left then, but I didnt. The purse came out ok, but the shoes were too tight. I would never go back there again. I would rather go someplace where the people were friendly and made you feel like they wanted your business.
