I dont write many reviews but I feel compelled to let people know about the Famous Tate on Henderson Blvd in South Tampa. The staff is phenomenal. Everyone I encountered was so friendly. I have been working with Nelson Torres, who is a sales associate there, for quite a while now and he is top notch. Hes very knowledgeable on all the appliances and merchandise that they sell and honest about the good and the not-so-good of the various models. I recently remodeled my entire South Tampa home and he was involved with every appliance that I purchased. We purchased a GE washer and Dryer, 36 Wolf dual fuel range, Bosch Fridge, Bosch dishwasher, and a Zephyr Titan Hood. My wife and I love every one.... especially our Wolf range! I wanted to say thanks again to Nelson for his care and attention to my remodel and for taking the time to research things for me. The sales process was a fantastic experience as well as the professional install. I say this with 100% honesty, if Famous Tate sells it, thats where Ill get it. I wont entertain the thought of going anywhere else.

I had a great experience at this location which has their higher end fine line of appliances. I had to replace a 13 year old built-in 48 wide fridge that just died. My sales associate, Patrick, helped me find a great fridge but unfortunately there was no stock and the factory lead time was 6-8 months. Patrick was able to find me the exact fridge that another customer ordered but had to cancel, so I got it in 3 weeks. Well done Patrick and Famous Tate.

Had ordered a fridge online and after waiting 2 months for delivery decided to walk in to Famous Tate to see what they had in stock. Found a great fridge which was delivered 3 days later - problem solved! Everyone is always professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant to deal with. Definitely worth spending a little bit more for their service to avoid hassles of online ordering.

After my second repair attempt on my whirlpool fridge (3 years old and still under warranty), I decide that no matter what the cost, I would buy from a place in Tampa that had a reputation for good service.I shopped around, and to my surprise, Famous Tates prices were identical to Lowes and Home Depot, with a MUCH better extended warranty. I picked out the unit online, walked in and purchased on Thursday, and it was delivered by careful, immaculate service-people on Saturday. Im so relieved. The experience I was dreading was absolutely wonderful.

We purchased a Maytag Refrigerator- 25 cubic feet. Ordered it over the phone with Ron, came in later to do the paperwork for 18 months no interest payments. Everyone we dealt with was so kind and helpful. We’re going need to replace our washer and dryer within the year. My husband and I will definitely be back! Kudos to the team off Henderson in Tampa!

I just moved into my condo and it has a small laundry closet. I originally purchased a unit from Home Depot and after waiting a month, when it arrived it didn’t fit. Famous state came to rescue and recommended this GE unit. They were helpful and knowledgeable on their recommendation. The into fits perfectly and the features are wonderful. Already washed and dried a lot and my o my regret is not going to famous Tate first to get this unit. MIKE DEMBLEWSKI was the best! He will make sure he understands your needs and then will over deliver on them.

Outstanding service — I won’t buy anywhere else in Tampa.

This was the first time Ive ever been there, so I was pleasantly surprised with the items and pieces they had. My father and I went there to look for a new refrigerator, and the gentleman that helped us was very honest and upfront with us. He said although they showcased several different refrigerators he only had 4 in stock that we could purchase and take home that same day due to the chaos that is surrounding major appliances in the world right now. Unfortunately my father and I didnt purchase a refrigerator from them. That didnt stop the gentleman show us around the store let me tell you they had kitchen displays in there with all the bells and whistles most of us could only dream of having. Even if you dont need anything they sell there, I would suggest anyone just to go in and see the stuff they have you wont be disappointed thats for sure.

Excellent selection of high-end appliances but absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. Came in today needing a number of items and there were about 4-6 employees on hand all sitting at their computers up front. They all saw us, only one was with a customer, not a single person said hi or asked how they could help us. We showed ourselves around for about 45 minutes, even lingering toward the front to ask a question to which we got a brief reply before the sales man just walked away, not once asking what we were looking for or how he could help. Apparently not a single one of them could be bothered to actually sell to us. We were going to be spending around 15k+ in appliances but we will definitely be taking our business elsewhere.

On the hunt for a wall mount range hood. Frigidaire Gallery is what matches the other appliances in our kitchen but not in love with range hood line.

Buying an appliance can be a stressful decision and an investment. Famous Tate made it easy with excellent customer service. The South Tampa store guided me to a good decision for a washer dryer combo. Plus, pricing is right and the delivery/install service is easy. I had a great experience with Famous Tate.Keep up the good work, I’m happy to be a return customer when the time comes and am glad I don’t have to buy from one of the national stores.

The staff was helpful and informative. They were able to locate both appliances I needed and order them for me. I think the line of communication couldve been better. There was a delay in one of my items due to shortage of appliances right now so thats out of their control which I understood. However, there was no checking into the estimated arrival at all from Famous Tate. I had to call 3 times to request they check into it. On my 3rd call to inquire about it, the representative said oh its in the warehouse. And Im thinking, well when I was going to find that out. Communication needs to improve!!!! Other than that I was satisfied.The oven installer they used was awesome- great customer service and communication on his part.

Bought 2.5k washer and dryer set from Home Depot. Two days before delivery they called to tell me delivery was delayed by a MONTH as they over sold and had none in stock.My Mom suggested I check out Famous Tate’s. I was not disappointed! Scott C. Went above and beyond to make sure I got not only the best price, but an upgraded model with delivery in TWO DAYS.The delivery team was on time and very professional. They forgot to give me a hose but after I called they turned around and delivered same day.The plumber that we hired to install the gas dryer and washer rushed the job and created major issues resulting in a damaged unit. Without any hassle or issues Scott C took care of it. I’m very grateful for his professionalism and expert level knowledge. He went above and beyond to get the right machine to us as fast as possible.We will be replacing all appliances in the kitchen soon. Famous Tate’s is the only place I’ll shop from now because of our experience. I highly recommend them!

So glad my contractor saw it sitting there in the store and called me. Effortless shopping experience!

Our experience with this Famous Tate started off great, with their representative able to order us all of the appliances we wanted and getting a slight discount over competitors (i.e. Best Buy). However, since ordering and paying, the experience has gone from bad to worse. We ordered our appliances in November 2020 with all items expected to be delivered by the end of the year and one item expected in January 2021. We were notified of our first delay during the last week of December that multiple items that were supposed to arrive did not, and a new ETA could not be provided. Since we are building a new home, our contractor told us to keep on top of it because he would need certain appliances at certain times during the build (i.e. cooktop, wall oven, etc.). Since December, we have had to reorder multiple appliances from other vendors (i.e. Best Buy) because Famous Tate not only couldnt deliver on time, they couldnt deliver within weeks or even months of their original shipping estimates. For example, one major appliance that was supposed to arrive at the end of December 2020 was delayed (2 different times) and now wouldnt arrive until late March 2021. Because of all these delays, we were no longer able to get bulk discounts (common when ordering appliance packages), we missed out on all the winter sales (Black Friday, Xmas), and now we also wont qualify for multiple brand rebates (needed to submit within certain timelines from purchase). This has cost us hundreds of dollars more having to order one-off appliances, and dozens of hours trying to find the right replacements. And contrary to what Famous Tate warned us about everyone is delayed right now, not just us, weve been able to order replacements from Best Buy and Home Depot with delivery and installation the SAME WEEK. Now, the worst part is their system has been down for over 2 weeks and we cannot even get a refund for the appliances weve had to order elsewhere. We are out thousands of dollars with no idea (its been 2 full weeks) when they will even be able to refund us the money. My advice, regardless if Famous Tate can save your $100 on a major appliance, dont fall into the trap we are now in and just order it from Best Buy with delivery and installation guaranteed within a few days. I will never use Famous Tate again.

AN UPDATE FROM THE LAST REVIEW: Now if there were negative stars, this is where I would place them. Their customer service liaison, Lorenzo called to see what he could do. Great, we thought! Progress! After he said he would make things happen and we will see the job through. Kyle came from Electrolux and ensured us the drier would be replaced after all the times they have tried to fix it. Then we call Electrolux and they said that Kyle nor his manager had the authority to say that. They said they couldnt send anyone out then because of Covid, which we understood. We called Famous Tate to find out that Lorenzo no longer works there. So back to square one.....We bought Electrolux washer and dryer from here 2 years ago on the guidance of our sales associate. These super quiet high end appliances are suppose to be the best on the market. HA! Weve had the repair guy out once after fighting with Famous Tate that even though the appliance were bought up front for our new home, that we didnt move in until months later and then began using them to wash/dry clothes. The service gentleman replaced some bearings and then a few months go by and now it is worse than ever. I can only do laundry during the day because it will wake the kids up. My husband found a way to damper the noise of our costly dryer..... A roll of paper towels in between the washer and dryer. Thanks for all of your support with this high end lemon Famous Tate! So glad you stand behind the products you sell! To all potential customers..... Stay away. The salesman will definitely sell you and then they walk away and youre on your own.

My husband and I bought a new side by side Frigidaire refrigerator and freezer with trim kit from the Tampa store on Henderson. Freezer arrived with a dent in the door as if it were used. No replacement / assistance was offered (or discount) and now we are dealing with getting a new door elsewhere on our own from the manufacturer. Ferguson is definitely your best bet for high end appliances given this experience.June 2020 Update: Still no replacement door delivered or coordinated by the Tampa Famous Tate store on our new purchase or contact recently from the store.

We went to buy a mattress. The service was great. Pricing very reasonable, in fact, I was prepared to spend much more based on research done on mattresses and were told we would be wasting our money. Delivery easy and on time.

I buy all my appliances from Famous Tate. They have the most knowledgeable sales staff and great prices.

We purchased new suite of appliances for new construction home. Our builder used this particular store for our appliances.The did a horrible job of installing appliances. None were installed properly. They just threw them in and called it a day. Dishwasher was loose, not anchored to countertop, stove was not leveled. fridge was not leveled, handles weren’t even put on. I couldn’t believe what a terrible job they did it’s like they could’ve cared less. And to think I actually recommended my parents to go buy a refrigerator from these guys before this. I would never recommend this store to anyone going forward.

Absolutely disappointed to say the least. Not one person greeted us. Not one person asked if we needed help, what were looking for, why we stopped in. Nothing, until we started to leave after looking at the entire store. Then someone decided to tell us to have a nice day. I said not to bother talking to us now, no one wanted to talk to us when we needed help. Renovating my entire kitchen and will be purchasing all new appliances....but not from Famous Tate. Very disappointing since weve made many purchases in the past.

This is the second appliance we have bought from Famous Tate’s, stove 1st & refrigerator 2nd, in the last 2 yr. Great people to work with, salesman answered every question & gave us time to walk around and discuss it between ourselves. Only thing I can gripe about is that it took a week to get the refrigerator delivered..not fun going without a refrigerator for a week but that’s life I guess..I love my whirlpool 4 door refrigerator & I recommend American made appliances to everyone..The delivery guys were great too, answered all my questions & were here on time..

We like to deal with Julian at Famous Tate when we are in the market for appliances. Julian is very knowledgeable. He gets things done and is an an absolute joy to work with!! Returned home from family vacation and when I went to do laundry, the washer gave up the ghost. We went to Famous Tate first and Julian Exclusa was great - so helpful, honest, and low key. It was during their Black Friday sale so everything was on order and backed up. But Julian made sure that we got on the delivery schedule as soon as the washers arrived. Bought my washer/dryer combo online they delivered, and installed as promised. Overall experience was easy and pleasurable.

We walked in Henderson location with a complete kitchen package estimate with a base model SS Kitchen Aid from Best Buy. After 30 minutes with Julian of price comparisons, feature comparisons, and an education on the products we were happy owners to have a full kitchen SS GE package and with the Advantium microwave we now have 2 ovens to cook with AND the price was even a little better.No worries as they have a price guarantee. We couldn’t be happier with our new kitchen.

After doing lots of online research on replacements for our aging W&D I decided to bring the family along to our local appliance store to see some options in person. As an avid online shopper for convenience and better deals we chose to purchase our set from Famous Tate in the long run. Our salesman Ron was very knowledgeable, not pushy and took the time to listen. After reviewing the deal and making sure there was not a better deal even online the decision was easy to buy local despite paying taxes. Delivery was the very next day from an efficient contractor. We will strongly consider them for any additional appliance purchases and recommend them to anyone that wants to shop local.

Ive been really disappointed by the service lately. We tried twice to give them our business for an entire kitchen and got nowhere. Actually kind of frustrating that we wasted so much time trying to get info out of them, get quotes, get calls returned, etc. Switched to Best Buy, prices were much more competitive and they offer a contractor discount which no one at Famous Tate offered us when they knew we had a contractor.

They know their products unlike big box stores. I had to get all new appliances for a house I am remodelling. I literally looked everywhere in Pinellas county and online. Famous Tates staff were the ONLY people that showed me the real differences and explained the products!! Their sale prices cannot be beaten, I have tried for months. It is great to shop at a family store with educated helpful employees.

We purchased 2 mattresses & adjustable frames from Famous Tate’s in South Tampa. My wife had an issue with her mattress and Scott Craig, Sales Manager, did an outstanding job of working with us to exchange the mattress for one she preferred. He was knowledgeable, professional, and patient throughout the process. He truly cared about making sure that we are satisfied customers.

We work in a downtown office building in Tampa, and it is always a challenge to get contractors to do work due to the building restrictions. We have used Famous Tate multiple times for our appliances (refrigerators, microwaves). This time we need a dishwasher and Julian was great about making sure we got one heavy duty enough for the number of people in our office. He even got us a deal on a close out model so a step up from what we thought we could afford. The installers they used were prompt and courteous and did a great job.

I read the reviews and honestly have no idea how anyone could complain. We ended up buying both an LG washer and dryer and could not be happier!!! We are extremely picky after years of owning rental properties and our home, and did our research both in the big home improvement stores and the other dept store appliance dealers, and wanted something specific for the space we had to work with, at a higher end price point. We got a fantastic deal, warranty included, and recommendations on which models were better regardless of prices- pretty refreshing actually!!! From amazing customer service in the store, to the friendly and professional delivery guys who made sure everything was damage free and up and running properly before leaving, it was a fantastic experience- and we are hard to please!

Was shopping for a Grill and really didnt know what we wanted. Al our sales guy was very helpful with no pressure. We ended up buying a Viking Grill that was a floor model on sale. Love it and will buy from Al again.

Weve purchased all o four new appliances from Famous Tate and would do it again in a heart beat. They are great in the showroom, very timely, and awesome when it comes to delivery too. I cant recommend them enough!

I spent far too much time trying to research a washer and dryer for our new house. I had been to Lowes. I had been to Home Depot. I had spent hours reading reviews. Our relator told me to try Famous Tate, and it was the first place where someone one actually talked to me about the machines. Nelson was fantastic. He answered all my questions, told me his experience with machines; he was incredibly knowledgeable. He was even patient with my two kids running in around us in the showroom. I will come back to Famous Tate for future appliance purchases. They know their stuff and treat you with kindness.

Worst experience ever!!! The Sales Manager tried to hit me on the sales floor! Why? Because I didn’t appreciate being yelled at when my house almost burned down due to a dryer they installed.Steven Dameman, the sales manager sold me a new dryer last week when ours stopped working. When I went home to remove the 3-prong cable from the old dryer to use on the new one being installed the next day I discovered the entire back of our dryer was black with soot. The cable was melted and looked as if it had been in a fire. I brought the cable back to Famous Tate to show them and was told they’d come up with a solution and get back to me ASAP. 4-days later, I still hadn’t heard from anyone and I went back to the store to see what was going on. Stephen, the sales manager, just frustrated when he couldn’t reach their customer service manager so he start speaking to me in a loud tone that they could fix the dryer they installed improperly for $125+. When I told him this wasn’t reasonable he then started shouting at me louder, stood up, and told me “let’s take this outside” in a threatening manner. It took another sales man to hold him back as he was trying to engage with me physically. While talking to the other sales man and demanding now to speak with their corporate office, Stephen came back from the back room asking me “Who the f*** do you think you are” “let’s go outside and settle this” trying to punch me again.This behavior is unacceptable! Never should there be a threat of violence and an escalation when a customer is frustrated. Never in my life have I experienced anything like this. I still sit here with a dryer that almost burned my house down, a receipt for a new $700+ dryer I purchased last week, and still not a single working dryer or solution. Instead I was chased out with threats of physical harm.UPDATE:The follow up left by the owner are lies. Fox 13 and NBC have been contacted. I stand by my exact account of what occurred. Your sales manager threatened me with physical harm on several occasions in front of customers and other sales staff. He had to be restrained by another sales man on two occasions. Your video surveillance in the store confirmed this and the executive office apologized repeatedly and said this behavior is out of character for Stephen.Regardless of the age of the dryer, it was purchased and installed by you and almost set fire to my house. Trying to deflect blame does not change this.

After shopping for what we really wanted, we found it was backordered till mid February. Claudia was able to get me one from another store, and had it delivered at our home in time for New Years eve. Thats what I call great customer service. A++++ shop there you wont regret it.

This is a showroom with sales people but they are not pushy or agressive. They were there to help us find what we needed and make the right decision. We got a great Bosch dishwasher. They installed the next day and the entire transaction was seamless.
