Ive always wanted to try archery and there was one right down the road from where I live so we decided to go give it a shot. It sits on 301, right off the Selmon so very easy to find. Parking is on the side and you enter from the storefront. Its a first come, first serve so if there is room, you dont have to wait. We came with a party of 5 and waited maybe 10 minutes before they were able to get us in. Its just in one room with no lanes, open concept. The instructor was very helpful and nice. It was very fun to learn and do archery. Everyone shoots their five arrows and then the last person to shoot will call clear and everyone will go get their arrows. The people there were also patient to first timers like us as well so that helped. Rental for equipment and an hour range was $20 per person! So affordable and fun! I enjoyed it and definitely plan to come back!
Just wanted to say thank you to the team at adventures archery. I went there a few weeks ago and ordered a part for my raven crossbow for a upcoming hunt and when the time came to go get the part raven still was a lil behind schedule so the guys took the part off of one of there personal bows and allowed me to take in place of the one that will come in weeks to come . Thank you guys so much you truly are a top notch outfit .
Been there twice was ignored both times. Came there to hopefully get a kid into bowfishing and archery in general. Wasnt that busy. Definitely wasnt impressed. So much for shopping local. Very disappointing. Maybe you need to know a secret handshake or something. 😂🤣
If you are interested in Archery in any sense look no further. I just came into town to get some hard rock candy for my kids and gingham for my wife, and I left with a fresh bromance blooming and a new Mission Bow, completely set up and sighted in on the spot, tailored precisely to my needs, and a little more unsettling to all my desires which I did not expect. It was magic. I am new to archery, but now forever in its sweet and holy embrace. Josh is the man to execute your plan, Isabella was awesome on the phone and getting me in there, and Sydney killed it with customer service and pointing me in the right direction. Adventures Archery IS THE PLACE for all your archery needs and gets my highest recommendation. You guys and gals are awesome!
Great selection and service. These guys really know bow hunting! Theyre incredibly knowledgeable and very competent at setting up and tuning bows.
Awesome place! Affordable, fun, lots of things to look at. Good value for group events, they give instructions and have accommodations for lefties as well. The archery range is upstairs so not ideal for someone in a wheeelchair.. same thing for the 2ndt story of the building overall (I did not see an elevator).Close to Bandon Town Center and plenty of other venues (D&B, indoor skydiving, bars, etc)
Got myself my first used bow. Been into hunting for a while and was really excited about getting into bow hunting. I really wanted to find a local archery shop to call home because I like supporting local businesses. After getting the bow, I brought it into the shop to get everything I needed. Asked him to check the bow out and to make sure everything is in tune. He very quickly measured my draw length and had me pull it back to see. Said, I was good and nothing else was needed and walked to the back. Seemed like he didnt really want to deal with a customer at the moment. He didnt charge me for that, which is cool, but I felt like he barely even looked at it. I then asked if maybe we should shoot it through paper to make sure it was good. Again, seeming annoyed, he brought it back, shot it, and realized the rest was a little off. Adjusted the rest, but never shot again. Just handed it back to me and said it was good. At this point I realized this wasnt the place for me. After taking it somewhere else, my draw length was set a half an inch too long, and after paper tuning it, we had to make some more adjustments to the rest to get it through paper correctly. Im super excited about archery and learning everything I can. I was hoping to have that hometown shop I could go to regularly. I found another one down the road that was happy to have me there. Maybe the guy was just having a bad day (Ive been there), but as my first experience with the shop, I was very unimpressed. With the options of buying on the internet, the local shops have to gain our business with customer service. Otherwise we can all just buy online for cheaper.
CLEAN. FRIENDLY. HELPFUL. If you or a first time shooter or a pro this is the place to get your gear, practice your skills and hangout with friends. Has the family club feel where you dont have to feel like an idiot if have never shot an arrow. Lots of high quality gear at a great price. Would recommend to anyone, even my grandma.
So... Theyre a high end shop and the prices reflect that on equipment. However, I was lucky enough to get Terry as my bow tech to setup my new bow yesterday. I felt like I walked out with a perfectly tuned bow and invaluable knowledge passed down from a true long time pro. He is top notch in every way possible! Its the best service Ive received from any business in years, not just a bow shop.
Awesome shop and range. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They are the only shop I trust, and recommend. If you haven’t been here then you’re missing out!!!!!!!!!!
Great fun. Kids loved it
Great staff, tons and tons of everything Archery you need. Id just like to say to the bad review from the gentleman that is concerned about no one wearing a mask.....you must be from Mars because OUR governor isnt a political SHEEP !!! mask are not mandatory so, open your own shop and you can make everyone wear a mask or hazmat suit lol Best Archery shop in the Tampa Area...
Want to give a big shout out to Josh for taking care of me today. I called every bow shop for 100 miles to help me out for a upcoming hunt I had planned. All I needed was a server put on my 10 point cross bow. Every bow shop pretty much told me to drop it off and get on their waiting list. I called josh and told him what I needed done and I that I had a hunt this weekend. I was expecting him to say the same thing as all the other guys. He didn’t. He gave me the worst case scenario and was the only person willing to look at it while I was there at the shop. My time is very valuable to me. So I decided to drive all way to Tampa from Lakeland. When I arrived he was at lunch so I decided to look at new Matthews V3, ravin and ten point crossbows while I waited. You got check them out for yourself. When he came back from lunch he put it on press and had the new server on it in no time. Took him less then 10 minutes and answered all my questions about the new bow and cross bow I was looking at. We even shared few hunting stories while I was there. Guess who I will give my money to when I get ready to buy my new Matthews and ravin crossbow. I’m sold. All because he took 10 minutes out of his day to help me out on my next hunt. Little things like that made josh and his archery shop stand out to me. I will go out of my way to drive to Tampa again and again past all other to shops to make sure I do business with Josh at Adventure Archery in Tampa. I will recommend him to everyone I know looking for a new bow as well. Great customer service josh. Thank you
Amazing Place they do great work a week ago they set up my bow and it didnt take long at all and you did a great job. Then I came back to get my arrows done at first there was a hiccup because of one employee with the time frame that they would be done but it was taken care of by the other people there who were very nice and helpful and who I believe to be the owner also hook me up on my arrows. I will definitely be returning here for anything else I need that has to do with archery.
My second time in this store, and I finally pulled the trigger on my new bow. After having never shot a bow before I explained to Dave my budget and he and another gentlemen on staff helped me along the way every step. I was able to shoot quite a few times to get familiar. This place is worth the drive. Thank you!
No problems with their service or sales and the testimonies indicate that the staff is knowledgeable and willing to help the novice and expert alike....however, little effort is made to protect customers from spreading disease, i.e., two of three staff wore no masks, no shielding at counters, no visual references to define distancing and no personalized notice at the entrance requiring customers to wear face covering or respect social distancing. There was an obscure notice posted on the entrance that conveyed the county’s mask-wearing mandate.I hope they improve their health risk precautions to protect themselves and their customers.
Amazing place found a new hobby
I will definitely only come here. My bow blew up in my face and I needed it repaired before my quota hunt this weekend. I was immediately assisted and the customer service was top notch. Im sure it gets annoying when people ask you dumb questions all day about bows but they didnt seem annoyed at all. It only took about 20 minutes to restring it since there were no damages elsewhere on the bow. Really glad I came here. Florida Hunters Network members recommended it and I wasnt disappointed.
Adventures Archery was amazing!!By far best selection of equipment around. For bow service there bow technician Josh is second to none.Highly recommend you go check out Adventures Archery.
I do not recommend this place! They have very shady business practices....they tell you a price and another and another....it is as if prices are different based on the client....totally unethical and illegal!
The staff at Adventure Archery are fantastic. My one son had some issues with the bow he purchased somewhere else and they spent so much time with him getting everything right with the bow. We will definitely be back.
I called on last Thursday on 4/29/2021 for a Meetup group reservation and was told did not need one for large group for 5/1/2021.We came and they told us we needed one and couldnt do archery. Very disappointed and not happy with the customer service. Luckily we went to Florida State Fair and you all lost a customer will never return.
Great service! Loved all the instructors. They make you feel very welcome. I would highly recommend this place. I would give it 6 stars if I had the option.
Great place to get beginner experience with a bow and arrow for the first time. Very helpful staff providing the equipment and walking me through using it for the first time ever.
Amazing customer service.Stopped in, thought I needed to adjust my bow. The pro behind the desk took me into the range and gave me a few pointers. I was blown away.Hard to walk in without buying something, amazing inventory. The taxidermy work is unreal. Well done.
Need archery supplies? Look no further! While this place is quite a drive from where I usually roam, it was worth the trip!Im a beginner in archery, and dont know too much about the equipment and its selection but the attendant was super nice and took the time to help me select a possible bow and draw weight. Some past places talked down to me, here I felt like an equal and he seemed genuinely happy to talk about archery.Im definitely going to be coming here for all my future archery needs.
Took my bow in to get tuned. The knowledge of Josh (tech) was phenomenal. First class shop and range. I had to travel an hour to get there and I wouldn’t hesitate to drive 4 for that kind of service.
Great place, great atmosphere, and super friendly staff. Josh is a great bow technician and eager to help you choose the right bow for you. No sales pressure and just a great overall experience. Thanks Josh for helping me through this process! Highly recommended!!
Great experience!Very professional. Everything you would ever need for bow hunting and more
My boyfriend and I drove 2 hours to buy a new bow for his birthday and this place was awesome! Josh was extremely helpful in letting him test out different bows to find one he liked and completely set it up for him. He even took the time to adjust the old bow we brought so I could use it and answered all of our questions. The ladies at the front were very friendly as well. Thank you so much to Josh and the staff—we will definitely be coming back!
Id been wanting to try archery for a while, didnt know there was a practice range so close, so I went in and immediately fell in love. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, welcoming patrons, I can go on. We very much enjoyed coming here. Highly recommend!
Amazing place and such nice staff! They helped me pick out a good compound bow!
Josh knows ALL about the Sport. He holds excellent customer service skills and will point you on the right direction. Come visit these guys with the family and be ready to have some clean, great fun!
Great place. People are willing to teach. For somebody new in this area this is a great place to come and learn some archery. Judging from the environment, I anticipate its probably pretty good if youre advanced as well. Did I mention they are super friendly? The young lady at the cash register was extremely amiable.
Took my eight-year-old son for his first experience. Great range and equipment and a reasonable price made it an enjoyable outing. Highly recommend.
My husband and I were on our way from church and Mothers Day lunch when we decided to stop in the store. I have been talking about wanting a compound bow for a long time, so my husband decided it was time to try it out!We went in and were greeted by the staff, but in particular, we were helped by Jacob. He asked questions about what I was looking for and listened to what I had to say. I explained that I had never used a bow before and knew absolutely nothing. He showed me items, but recommended that I start with a beginner bow and go to the range to see if I liked it. I did and loved it! I then asked if I could try the compound bow with poundage. He set it up and measured me to make sure I had the right draw length. At no point did he try to hard sell me on a product. In fact, he suggested I rent a bow until I knew what I wanted to make sure I would be happy.I really enjoyed it even though my muscles were experiencing some new exercise. I was given pointers and directions as to how to handle the bow. I liked it so much that I decided to buy one!Jacob had to leave shortly after I picked out the bow, but he was such a polite and knowledgeable young man that I will never forget that experience. I was then helped by other staff members who set up the bow and equipment.Although I do not remember the exact names, I know that I was being helped by a husband and wife team. The bow was set up by the husband and the wife took me into the range to adjust sites and help me get familiar with my bow, She was excellent at explaining what to do. I was told that I did not need a class since I did so well, but I signed up for the 10 hour range time.I was impressed with the customer service from the beginning until I walked out. I recommend Adventures Archery if you are a beginner (or experienced).Great job, staff!!! This is what customer service and sales should be!
A great place to do business. Good selection and reasonable pricing! Staff has always been friendly and helpful. I dont get the look down their nose at me feel when I go there like other places I have been!
Great archery store/club! Ive been a customer here for awhile, even dating back to its former Arrowhead Archery name, but this business is much better. Pro-shop is where I do most of my business here, and the bow technicians are great! Jared is especially helpful! Customer service is A+ all-around! Only gripe to mention is the prices are a little on the high end, but standard for local archery shops in general. I am very happy to have this archery business in Lakeland, FL!
Highly professional
Got my new bow tuned and new arrows cut and the tech helped me learn a little bit about my bow and setting it up, the parts, and arrow lengths, widths, and tips. I appreciated the help as a newbie and will likely be going back. I drove 45 minutes to get there and it was worth every penny.
Great place. Was recommended by a friend. I needed my new bow adjusted. Walked right in and was seen. They didnt need to adjust the draw length so they adjusted my limbs for a lighter draw (first bow), adjusted my peep and also my D -loop. Went to the range with me gave me many pointers (stance, grip, using sights etc.) and adjusted my sight many times with grace and patience. Installed a kisser button and adjusted it to me. All this and an hour of range time for $37! Would have been happy to pay twice that for the level of service I received. They earned my business from here on out.
Man what a great experience I had there. First of all i am a retired infantry expert marksman but I know nothing about bows except for thing I have research online. I went yesterday to Adventure Archery just to ask some questions and get some insight on archery and bow hunting, I was showed and taught the basics to archery. I was also informed on the equipment that was needed and the detailed reasoned why each piece of equipment was used for. I walked out with a custom that was tuned for me, and it was well priced as well. Even after I purchase he insisted that he help me sight it in and teach me basic on shooting it in the range and I appreciated it very much. I would totally suggest this place to a friend or to anyone seeking information on anything to do with archery. Thanks
Hands down the best customer service around. This shop has everything you will ever need and josh is willing to walk you around and point you in the right direction to help you get the setup you are looking for.
Its a nice place. With a wonderful staff that truly cares about you and your archery needs. Theyre kind and they converse rather than try to push sales. Theyre a wonderful group of people and I will definitely be back there very soon
Excellent archery shop. Very well stocked, clean. Jana and the front crew give great and friendly service. Josh is an amazing and very knowledgeable bow tech. When he isnt there, you will still be in good hands with the tech on duty. They have a really nice range and an awesome JOAD team. I can highly recommend Adventures Archery.
When I first came here, I had never done archery before. It was just a fun, new experience to try with some of my family. The staff was helpful and friendly. Even though they were very experienced, they didnt laugh at us for having no idea what we were doing. They explained every step and then left us alone to have fun, but were close by if we had questions. The prices were reasonable. The equipment is easy to use. I definitely reccomend you try it out! Youll be supporting a small business that adds diversity to our area!
My husband and I had a great spur of the moment date here and the staff was so friendly and helpful with us beginners! I thoroughly enjoyed myself and even the other experts who were there using the range were helpful. I definitely recommend!
Awesome place with the latest and greatest! Huge selection and stellar customer service! Josh was on point with finding me what I needed, setup my bow to my specs and helped my through the whole process of getting me on my way to this new hobby for me. This is the place you want to come for all your archery needs and info on any question you have! Repair, tune and merchandise all in one location! Please give them a go and see for yourself! Josh thank you so much for setting up my Mathews Mission Zone! Once I get the hang of this, I will be back for my upgrade (Hoyt).
This was the most educational and easy going experience I have had in an archery shop anywhere in Tampa bay. I returned the bows we had bought elsewhere just to purchase from these guys because of the customer service they gave us before we ever made a purchase. They made my wife and son feel very comfortable and were the perfect introduction to the sport. Josh and his wife continuously give training and advice with no hint of sales attached. I have bought two Matthews bows from them and will be buying another soon. These guys exemplify how to run a local business successfully. A MUST visit!!
Awesome selection of the best bows on the market. Just got the new Mathews VXR and the staff stayed late to set it up for me. Thanks
Been here a couple of times through a Groupon. Finally decided to get a bow for myself. Joshs a great business man with a spotless ethic. He not only made sure I get the right bow that fits my budget, also kinda gave a free class to make sure thats the right bow for me to shoot. He also gave an hour of free range and a selection of bows to try. Turned out I need a left handed bow, although Im right handed. I really appreciate his honesty by not luring me into an expensive right handed bow that I cant shoot. Keep it going guys!
Best bow shop I’ve ever been in. Was shocked to find this caliber of a shop in FL! Shop guys were awesome. Definitely will be back
We went to Adventure Archery after my wife graduation ceremony. We were all in dress clothes and were just looking for something different and fun to do. We were greeted as we walked in the door and made to feel welcome. Within minutes we were upstairs on the range. None of us had ever shot a bow before so we were all very much so nervous. The young man and lady that gave us our instructions were great. We had the best time. Never thought shooting bows would be this much fun. I highly suggest adventure archery for anyone looking to get into bows or just want to have a fun outing that wont break the bank. a full hour for $15.00. Still cant believe that. We will for sure be going back.
Great place! I drive a 3 hour round trip whenever i need archery related items due to their fantastic customer service, knowledge and fair pricing! Keep it up! Special thanks to Josh and Brandon for there help getting my bow tuned properly!
I was looking for a place for my daughter to shoot while on vacation and stumbled across these guys. Great facility and friendly staff. They were very welcoming with a laid back attitude. Even invited us to shoot with the JOAD team, but unfortunately we couldnt fit it into our schedule. Highly recommend them.
Adventure archery is such a professional and family friendly place. I was greeted by Josh who was very professional not pushy and listen to what exactly I was going for. He was also very knowledgeable about both compound bows and recurve bows. In addition, the staff was very upbeat enthusiastic and just overall helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend this place anybody whos brand-new into archery or wanting to get into hunting Im glad I stop by.
I am new to the area, and I am happy to have found such a wonderful archery range. It has been many many years since I have been to a decent archery range. This appears to be a family run range, lots of helpful staff, and so far the first and only 30 yard indoor range I have found in Florida. They even have an upstairs 20 yard youth range in the loft. The pro shop staff is very knowledgeable, and seem to have anything and everything an archer needs.
This is my first time here. I was very impressed with the Tech Support and trying to tune both my Bows in. They are very friendly and have a really nice selection of Quality Brand Name Bows. The shooting range is really nice as its indoors. Plenty of room to shoot and tables and chairs. I only wish this place was much closer to where I live so I could go everyday.
First time in and I was nothing short of impressed! The staff was super knowledgable and friendly the facility was clean and well kept. Safety was a big focal point to staff which is great. Its first come first serve and we got in immediately, and rates are super inexpensive! This is a must try for anyone looking for a new hobbie. They cater to both novice and expert archers so come one come all!
Great place to shoot arrows!! They let you rent a bow and the arrows for 15 bucks, or 9 if you have your own bow. They have various selection of bows, arrows, and anything else youd need as an archer. So much fun! Friendly staff too!! Theyll take good care of you.
Had an amazing time. Booked a Groupon (or living social, one of them). The staff was friendly and we had a blast. The regular prices are fair and we will definitely be back!
Best experience I have ever had at any bow shop. Great place that makes you feel welcome. Each individual person that worked there had more knowledge then most of the bow shops Ive been to combined. They not only do the job but they explain to you why theyre doing what they do. Id wait in line for an hour to get in here before Id walk into another shop again. Im getting better groups at 60 now than I was at 30 before. Thanks guys
Took my son here today. Both of us are new to archery (Id done it in Jr High school 35 years ago or so and he a little in his friends backyard). The young lady who set us up was excellent and we enjoyed ourselves. Great activity for a 14 year old and an old man ;-)
Justin helped get my bow set up this weekend and I couldnt be happier. He was so meticulous you would think it was his own bow. The folks at Adventures Archery are great - make you feel welcome.
Great location and selection of Archery Accessories. The Staff was extremely friendly. Shooting range and children’s range area. We attended there GRAND OPENING and won lots of great items. We have purchased several BOWS and Accessories at great prices. We are so glad that they are located in the BRANDON area. Great family friendly environment.
Went there looking to do a little shooting, but was having problems sighting in my present bow, after talking with Josh, I decided to purchase a new bow with accessories, Josh and the other bow techs are insanely talented when it comes to setting up a new bow, I purchased a Matthews GTX, within 5 minutes Josh had me shooting 2 inch groups at 20 yards, I was over the moon with those results, especially because Im 65 years old, the whole staff there is very friendly and very knowledgeable, the young girl behind the cashier desks has the best customer service attitude and she is very pretty, I drive 80 miles one way to take my business to these folks but its so worth, so if you are in the Tampa area and have an interest in Archery check them out, you wont be disappointed.
This is the best archery shop I have ever been to! I love the new Lakeland store as well! Great and knowledgeable staff always willing to listen to your needs and go the extra mile! I have been to Arrowhead Archery and was treated horrible. They acted like they did not want to touch my bow because it wasnt the brand that they shoot. I would never set foot back into that store again! Then I found out about Adventures and I gave them a try, so glad that I did! I have now purchased my second bow from them with excellent service and results! The range is awesome! The store is full of archery AND must see hunting supplies! Now I have purchased my third bow from them still a great experience!!
Very nice place. People are super friendly. Their prices are a bit high but they are local and Ill buy accessories from them. They have a Gold Club that gets you 10% off items you purchase and all the free range time you want. The have an outdoor range specifically for Gold club members. Its nothing fancy but at least you can shoot out to 50-60yds.
Went in today looking to check out archery and possibly purchase a Hoyt. The reps were fantastic and although I didnt end up making a purchase - this is where I would go to make my purchase, hands down. Excellent information, selection, and crew here. Thanks for the service, yall!
I was very impressed, not only with the store but also the staff. Being fairly new to archery I had a lot of questions. Ray took the time to not only answer my questions but explain the difference of various bows. His recommendations matched that of a trusted friend who is a bow hunter. Ray got me outfitted with a PSE STINGER X, release and carbon express arrows. Took me to their indoor range and made all adjustments. The ladies at the counter were friendly. I was so impressed with my total experience that my wife and I went back 2 days later and got her set up with a bow of her own.
Wow! I came in as someone brand new to the idea of archery, and the staff here were so welcoming. Charla and Weisman were extremely helpful and courteous (sorry if I slaughtered the spelling)! Ill definitely be returning here for all of my needs for my new-found hobby! Youre the best of the best!
If I could give 0 stars I would... I bought a crossbow from them at an outdoor show in Lakeland this year. It was a new release from PSE and after a few weeks of use, the limb delaminated. (This was not the shops issue, this was a manufacturing issue). The problem is, how the shop handled the this. I called and described the delamination issue, I was asked if I had left the bow in my truck or outside in the cold (I live in Florida), if I was sure I hadnt dropped it or dry-fired it. I made plans to drive from Oveido to Tampa to drop the bow off at Joshs request. When I go to the store, there were several other of the same bow, with the same delamination issue. I was told that the store would request repair or replacement from the manufacturer. When I asked how long it would take, the shop could not provide an answer. We are now in the middle of the hunting season and I am without a bow. after 2 weeks, I called to check the status and I was told 3-4 more weeks. I called the next day and talked to Josh, he told me my bow would be ready on Thursday or Friday of last week. I called Josh again on Tuesday last week to make sure, and again I was told it would be ready Thursday or Friday. I changed my schedule around to go this past Saturday and pick up the bow. I drove down to Tampa from Oveido only to find out that my bow was in the trunk of a sales reps car and he would not be in until Monday. Now I have made a wasted trip. I was told that the bow would ship out UPS Next Day on Monday and I would receive my bow on Tuesday (Today). I called and spoke to Josh Yesterday Afternoon to verify that the bow had shipped. The bow did indeed ship yesterday, when I asked for a tracking number, Josh could not provide one. He said he would have someone from shipping call me today with it. No one called me, so I called them again, after I got a tracking number, it was with USPS, not UPS and it was not shipped next day, as I was told it would ship, It shipped 2 day with USPS. My bow is now in transit and scheduled to be to me Wednesday by 8pm. I have had to reschedule 2 hunting trips with my son & grandson, I am out deposit money for hunting trips that I had to cancel because of this. All I go from Josh, was I am sorry that this happened, I am at the mercy of the manufacturer, and I will speak to my shipping department about this While I can appreciate the above comments, there is nothing that can be done at this point to make it right. I am sorely disappointed in this small business that I am sure relies on their customer base. That said, these guys have lost a customer over this, and I will be sure to tell my hunting friends to go elsewhere.Ed Slusser
Worst customer service.
I don’t leave many reviews for anyone but I have to say this is the best archery shop in the Bay Area I’ve ever been to !! My son rented a Bow for a hour who is 8 and is now hooked .. Special thanks to a gentleman named Dennis I believe it was on showing him some basics on how to properly shoot ! Now he has the hang of it and is ready to buy his own !!! Again thank you to everyone at archery adventures for such a great trip .
Great place every body there was extremely helpfull. Josh knows everything there is to know about archery and will set you Up with quality stuff
I had the guys put a new rest on my mathews vertix and a peep sight then they paper tuned it everything was fine then we adjusted the peep to me and tied it in then it was spun a little so the employee took the sting off the cam and twisted it for some reason and put it back on then then i shoot the bow for the first time and it blows up now theyre refusing to at least pay for a string or make it right in anyway would not recommend going to these guys
Very impressed with the service and attitude. I am a newbie at the sport. Bought middle of the road set-up from a big box store, and they did the quick set up, and thanked me for my purchase. Purchased an up graded sight and rest that I installed myself. Could dial in at any distance, but did not stay consistent moving from distance to distance. Knew my alignment was off. Went into Adventure Archery this morning. Young lady at the desk was extremely pleasant, and told me I could get bow tuned. Guys at the desk jumped right on taking care of me. Did not matter that I bough elsewhere. While I got paper tuned, I could overhear conversation of young lady at desk, and that she was active in the sport. Found it neat that everyone worked their because they enjoy the sport, and not just hiring anyone.Gentleman helping me with my set up got my arrows flying straight, and then too took me to the range to get dialed in. Very quick process. Three guys working with customers on the range. Everyone very cordial and loose. Was not made to feel like a newbie with average equipment, but a customer that they where welcoming to the sport. Asked the gentleman helping me if there was something he would recommend I purchase to help improve my development. He said just practice, Very refreshing that he did not try to push product on me. Told me down the road what to consider.About a 45 minute drive, but no doubt I will make that drive each and every time given that type service. At the point I am ready to move into a flagship bow, they will be getting my purchase.
Very professional and helpful.
Adventures has everything. Carry many of the top end bows along with great starter equipment for kids. Beautiful range and most importantly great people behind the counter.
Superb
Always nice to do business here!!! Very knowledgeable and our son (competitive archer) enjoys getting extra gear for his bow here.
New to compound bow shooting, the staff is friendly and so were the other people there. So I was shooting my bow and couldnt figure out why I was shooting far right. I asked a guy that was there, his name is Scott, great guy gave me great pointer on shooting. and helped me sight in my bow! If your new to shooting I would highly recommend this please!, Thanks for the great experience and I will be back!
This is the best archery shop in the Tampa Bay area. Great shop for both modern and traditional archers - and has a substantial indoor range. Staff is extremely knowledgable and it was nice to see the owner take a personal interest in customer service as he walked the floor checking in on customer needs. Highly recommend!!
We bought the $28 Groupon after reading all of the great reviews. It included all equipment and one hour of archery.I’ll just say this, the blonde girl at the front desk is really not aware of what she is doing up there. She should not be alone and there should definitely be an experienced adult up there with her helping out. I’m not even mad at her, this mistake is based on poor management. There are a bunch of teenagers (or young adults) running the show and none of them have any idea what is going on.When we first arrived she told us there was a party coming in at 3 (we got there at 2:35, I assumed they had sessions starting on the hour and we should show up early to get prepared) and that there may not be room for us or we may have to wait. The only thing the Groupon voucher mentioned was to make a reservation for a party of six or more. So ok, that’s annoying that I drove 25 minutes to get here and now I might not even be able to get my kids in today, or I have to find a way to kill time while we wait. She eventually comes back out and says they can accommodate the kids and redeems my Groupon. I step to the side to fill out waivers and after I’m done, we stand there clueless as to what to do as she has given us no direction and is overwhelmed with the line of people that has formed behind me. Some random customer points to a line across from the register and says I need to go over there, thanks for the heads up non-employee! We head over and stand in the line when a younger man with blonde hair asks us if we need help (we are still 3 deep at the equipment counter) and I say yes and explain what we have done so far and he says to come with him. He takes us back to the front desk and again there is concern that they have no room for us, but she has already redeemed our Groupon so they will make it work. After this poor guys speaks with two more employees we finally get put into the hands of Alex (who in my opinion was the only competent person working that day.) Alex got us set up with gear and while the guy with dark hair and a beard is walking around with a dry erase board, trying to put my 7&9 yo children who have never shot before at the lanes where the target is the furthest away, Alex makes sure this doesn’t happen and gets us up to the front where the targets are close and they can actually hit it. He then gives them a safety lesson and covers the basics and sticks around to make sure they each get a couple of successful shots off. He was the only reason this review is getting a three, otherwise it would have been a one.About half way through our hour session the birthday party comes in, they’ve got tons of arrows so after my kids have gone through the 5/6 they each had, we just have to sit and wait for the party to finish theirs (about 10 minutes per round.) So a portion of our time is wasted watching these adults/teenagers socialize and take their time going through arrows. Again not mad at them but in this TINY range it isn’t really accommodating for separate groups, it should be shut down for a party, as a party of 10 had to share 5 lanes and there were only four lanes left after that.Overall the kids had fun once things got rolling but a little disappointed about the wait time to shoot again after the party arrived.Advice to management, have someone help manage all these young bucks you have running the show and don’t have your employees say “well we know you drove 25 minutes so we are trying to make it happen.” Just make it happen and create a sense of ease for your customers, not a sense of obligation and guilt. We will be exploring other local archery options in the future and again, a big hats off to Alex for going above and beyond to turn our experience around, and to the guy with the blonde hair that put us in his care.I wish I had gotten all the names but the one with dark hair and a beard carrying a dry erase board should not make a customer feel that it’s their fault that Adventures Archery was not properly prepared.
It’s a great place for your Archery needs. Helpful staff and a great selection.
Ive only been here once, but I have every intention of going back. I walked in, totally lost and regretfully was not acknowledged. Looking back, Im fairly sure it was just because everyone there is fairly laid back, as with most of their clientele. They probably werent expecting confused little me. That said, it only got better from there and I ultimately left pretty satisfied. Having not done archery in way too long, I brought in a bow that hadnt been used in years. They were really cool about checking it over and making sure it was in good condition. They fixed it up quick, which was nice, without any judgement, which was even nicer. They also helped me get an idea on what arrows I needed while still treating me like an intelligent human being. Not only that, one associate was trying to find me the cheapest ones that would work and was disappointed when they happened to be not quite right and I thereby needed more expensive ones. The range staff was also chill. Likely because the archers there were long time users. I accidentally misfired after an improper nock and they didnt yell at me. They were more concerned for my sanity and bow condition rather than berating me. Everyone there genuinely cared for the sport and the customers there. This is a great place and I would be happy to go back, as well as recommend it to others!
Im here visiting from out of town for the holidays and have been remarkably well taken care of. I have been to this shop for the last four days in a row and each time have been warmly greeted and have had nothing but excellent service. Answered all of my questions without making me feel like I am an idiot and have made a point to buy something each time I step in. Be it Frank giving me pointers on recurve shooting and excercises I can do at home to help with my form and muscle building, Tucker and Josh setting me up with arrows and on bow quivers or the the owner himself speedily repairing my bow when the aforementioned bow quiver stripped my bushings off my bow everyone I have talked to has helped me with no fuss regardless of how hectic it has been in the shop. Highly recommend this shop for anyone getting into archery.
The service was great range is nice being able to shoot at 30 yards indoors. I have been an archery hunter for the last 20 years and recently started competing. For the novice or archer with no experience this is a great place to start as with any pro shop prices are slightly inflated but you expect that in this type of environment great setup. Check it out
Best archery shop Ive been in, friendly staff always helpful. If they dont have it, they canget it. And the Bow techs are awesome.
Friendly staff. Very helpful and knowlegable. I will be returning for any future needs.
My 3 daughters and I really had a good time! It was my first time and it was great! The customer service and the hospitality was great as well!
Great spot for archery enthusiasts in the Tampa Bay area, but you should bring your own arrows. If you like a compound bow with a higher poundage, you should consider bringing your own as well.
As a novice archer, I read great reviews on here before I visited the store for the first time. I walked in, was immediately asked if I needed help by David, and I told him my status and my price range. From there, he walked me throughout the store, introducing me to various models and price ranges. After my selection, we ordered my new bow (the color was not in inventory) and I heard from him a week and half later telling me that the my new bow is hanging up with my name on it. Just come on in when Im ready.I came in the following Saturday, found David, and he showed me my new bow, selected some accessories and arrows for me, and then proceeded to walk me through the basics of using a compound bow back in the range. After that, we dialed in my site and he continued to offer guidance as I learned to shoot properly.I came in with one hour of introductory archery training with a recurve bow. I left that day with complete confidence in using my new compound bow and my ability to shoot properly and well.A big thank you to both David and Adventures Archery. We are very fortunate to have a great store in the Tampa Bay area.AC
Family friendly and helpful staff with archery knowledge in multiple areas. Good 20 yard indoor range. Coaching available. Basic bow rental available for first timers.
