This place is awesome! We came in and immediately were greeted and he let us take our time with the menu! He also helped us with our orders like: telling us the honest prices of everything, making a banana smoothie,and overall was just such a nice person! We also got our dog a capoochino and he loved it!! Also, the person who served us actually turned out to be the owner! So hi again Paul! You make the best smoothies!

I wanna give a brutally honest review.I absolutely love coffee and chilling in coffee shops, and love to support my local businesses. I’ve enjoyed some coffee and products I’ve gotten from this store but I honesty feel like it’s a gamble.The coffee/drinks have not been consistent in my experience, different baristas have pretty varying skill level imo and for working at a coffee shop some don’t seem to be the most well trained. :(Some baristas I have LOVED their customer service, offering ideas, letting me know the prices, etc. but not all.I also think it would be nice to affirm the upcharges (adding syrup/alternative milks) to customers if they want to add something to their drink. I know the prices are on the menu but it’s always nice to let someone know that it is going to be extra. Also, I ordered a latte and never even was asked what size I wanted just was given the larger/more expensive one by default. I don’t know, it’s just the little things that I think can make a big difference.Lastly, just in my opinion, the vibe is just decent. This is just a personal preference, and I like that they seemed to have made the effort to upcycle and use local artists which I love, but I just think it has a lot more potential. I feel like with some changes it could be much more pleasing to the eye. Still love y’all I just want to make some things aware for perhaps for improvement

Felicitous coffee was kind enough to sponsor a bake sale that my honor society hosted at the University of South Florida. The owner was great at communicating with us and was very prompt at responding and catered to our needs! The baker, Corinne, provided us with delicious and beautiful vegan chai latte donuts, vegan chocolate chip cookies, regular chocolate chip cookies, and cupcakes! I loved that they had vegan options available! This business was a huge help to our bake sale and we appreciated it so much! The vegan chai latte donuts were a hit! We can not thank you enough Felicitous, we appreciate you so much!

Such a great little coffee shop! I use to go here to study and get good coffee and snacks. It can be busy at times but it never disappoints. Their dirty chia latte is like a dream!

I enjoyed their old location that was actually a little house and felt so homey. With covid 19 I guess they dont give you coffee in mugs any more which I always liked. But their coffee is still good and the environment is good for college students.

Their coffees are super unique, and theres a lot to choose from. Ive only ever had great drinks here. Just know that its actually located at the floor of an apartment complex. You have to drive up to the top of the garage (7 floors), and take the apartment buildings elevator and fumble around to find the coffee shop. Its not super easy to navigate if you e never been.

Felicitous is my favorite coffee shop in the USF Tampa area to go to! The atmosphere is amazing and very comfortable to study in or go be creative and draw in my sketchbook! There are also plenty of outlets or extension cords available to plug in your devices! The baristas are all very nice and friendly! I havent met the owners - but I have only heard the staff say kind words about them!Try out my my favorite drink! It is a Dirty Chai Tea - Iced with Honey added in!

The parking situation is extremely weird. That being said, if you can figure out where to park this place is great. It very much feels like a modern twist on the original Felicitous. It still retains it funky mismatched charm but with large murals and neon lights.

In the last 2 years the locations have gotten better compared to how the previous manager had it who apparently hired her weird friends and boyfriend. The owners also put a stop to any customers who thought they were entitled. Kudos to Felicitous.

Love this place and its drinks! With iced coffee they give you ice cubes made out of coffee so that it never gets diluted- genius. On top of that, their selection of various teas is excellent. The only con of this place is the parking. Otherwise, everything about it is lovely!

Favorite spot in the area! An eclectic, whimsical vibe and relatively spacious interior where youll be served good coffee, satisfying small plates, and delicious pastries. Love the big windows.Lots of USF students study here, and its become a cultural hub with local art/crafts on display, and open mic nights on weekends.Park in the garage around back, and either walk through the apartment courtyard/pool area or walk around the outside.Service is always friendly. Can be slow when the shop is crowded, but its an acceptable part of the experience when going to a smaller place. I do like Starbucks and similar coffee shops, but I come here to escape that corporate, coldly-efficient vibe.

- lots of parking (but a little hard to find once you’ve parked)- DELICIOUS coffee and unique mixes- a whole variety of really good loose teas as well- they have almond and oat milk! (More I believe, but can’t remember)- such a cool place to work/study. I went around noon on a Friday and it was nice and quiet!

This used to be an amazing spot! Something has happened recently (Id say last four months or so) that makes it feel off though. The baristas do not seem happy to be there at all and the service has slowed down tremendously. Theyre also always out of so many things! It seems like half the menu is crossed off and their shelves are empty 90% of the time.I love Felicitous but it definitely has a new vibe that is not cool. (This goes for both locations)

What a wonderful little coffee shop!! I love that this place is within walking distance of USF, that makes it so convenient to walk to in-between classes. I also appreciate the fact that they try to be more green by using mugs and glasses for when you are staying in to study. Little eco-friendly things like that add up and its great to see small businesses contribute.

The coffee shops are an outstanding break from a hectic day! The improvement year over year has been substantial. They always have a variety of baked goods and the coffee is the best in the area! Glad to be a frequent customer!

Very cute little cafe located near USF. Ive been there quite a few times, and I dont think its ever been noisy or packed; great place to chill or get work done. They have excellent coffee, and staff are very polite and friendly. They also keep the place very clean, including the bathroom, which I very much appreciate. Would highly recommend visiting this cafe if you get a chance.One point to note: the cafe is located under an apartment complex, so parking is a bit strange; you park in the parking garage behind the building and then walk back to the front to the cafe.

Parking at this coffee shop is crucial. The parking garage is not connected to access the coffee shop easily. You have to walk up a 1 way lane that cars are constantly using to get to the coffee shop. Seating is great, amazing sofas, high top tables; great study/work environment. They have delicious herbal teas & a couple gluten free pastries. I ordered a Gun Powder green tea (so good) and a gluten free muffin. When I asked to get my muffin warmed, the woman taking my order (who was very dismissive to me) said they cannot do that. I asked another employee & he told me they indeed can warm my pastry up. At that point I put it back. I wont be returning to Felicitous anytime soon.

(Used) to be my favorite place for getting a quick cup of coffee until the quality of service hit rock bottom. Our coffee cup was only filled till half mark and it seemed very less for a $5 coffee. The brownie we ordered was not heated up and the hot chocolate was just water with some chocolate thrown into it. Sad to see the decline of this amazing spot.

Menu well planned to suit everybodys taste. I recommend this place if you want a nice cup of coffee and something to eat.

Felicitous on 42nd is awesome. It has all the great coffee and food that 51st has, but a totally different vibe! Its modern and trendy and fun and just a great place to hang out. The open mic nights that they hold two Sundays a month are also a great way to discover new musicians!

Felicitous on 42nd hosted our society for an open mic night last month and the experience was great. The staff was super accommodating and helpful, especially with all of the scary technological audio equipment that we didnt know how to use. They walked us through everything, helped us the whole night, and of course made some amazing drinks.

I absolutely love this place! The staff is great, the food and drinks are awesome....the new ownership definitely made some great improvements. Would highly recommend!

Cute local place for tea/coffee and and snack! Parking is tricky, follow the road to the left of the building (facing felicitious) to a parking garage and you can park on the ground floor in spots that say retail/resident parking. Then walk that narrow road up to 42nd to the entrance.

I went there today at 8:30 and the girl said she’s not making anything that uses the expresso machine cause they close at 9 now and she’s cleaning so I asked what my options were and she said just tea. There were no pastries out or anything I just don’t understand if you close at 9 why don’t you have anything to sell at 8:30. You should just close the store early then or have your baristas stay later to clean up after you close and not before.

Their coffee is amazing. I like that they are pet friendly and I love that they attempt to be eco-friendly. What I dont like is that the staff often do not uphold their eco-friendly initiatives. They often give out paper and plastic cups to avoid doing dishes.

Traditionally, coffee shops have always been a place where people meet to catch up or to talk over a cup of coffee. This place was so quiet you could hear a pin drop, and every word we said. It’s not a church, an office, or a library. It’s a coffee shop. It was very uncomfortable to be told that our voices were too loud, IMHO.7.26.2018Clearly this could not (I hope was not) an owner’s response. I wasn’t trying to hurt the business. There were very few patrons there to hurt anyways. But as you can see, if a few lines deserve 4-5 paragraphs of response, clearly the hostility lies on the other side. I hope your business does well, but it won’t be through browbeating those that don’t agree with your methods. -CCD

I have absolutely no idea how this place has so many rave reviews. The atmosphere is mediocre at best. The coffee is sub-par. Other reviews say better than Starbucks? Not a chance, and I dont even frequent Starbucks. The bathrooms always have some insane signage in them telling people not to steal toilet paper? Last time I went it just said Out of Paper Towels. Sorry! Ummm...how about buying some and replacing them? lol. Customer service must not be much of a priority if you cant get more paper towels in the bathroom....and to top it off it doesnt even open until 9am?? For a coffee shop??

Soooo overpriced! Flavor was terrible for two out of three items that I purchased. The hot chocolate was watered down. I could see down into it bc there was so much water and so little chocolate. The brownie had a strange maple flavor that I hated! The peanut butter donut was tasty, but miniscule for almost $4! The icing was also too sweet and there was way too much of it. It overpowered the tiny donut itself. I will say that everything is aesthetically pleasing. $12 for chocolate water, a tiny donut, and a mislabeled maple brownie. :(

@shrey you must have been visiting the chain coffee shop down the road because what you’re describing doesn’t happen at Felicitous (either location). I visit the location on 42nd at least once a day and the other location 3-4 times a week, if the service and products were below average I wouldn’t (nor would so many other people) spend so much money at Felicitous. Before you post publicly about a business, make sure you have your facts correct.

I personally enjoy going to Felicitous and get the drink What The fog!!!! Lovely environment to relax and drink coffee, tea and how friendly they are with their vegan products.

Neat spot. If youre visiting you unfortunately have to drive to the very to of the parking garage to get to the visitor spots but worth it. Good laptop environment.

This place is pretty sweet, i have been here twice since they opened up and have had great experiences each time. the choice sea salt donut was fye and now this spinach pastry is really hitting the spot. really friendly staff as well. i will be back the next time i dont want to cook breakfast.

The review by Chris DeWhatever was quite inaccurate. It’s a tea shop not a biker bar. The employees handled said person just as I would have wanted them to because quite frankly I don’t care for my strawberry tea and book with a side of obnoxious f bombs. Thank you Felicitous for reading the situation and handling it accordingly. I’ll be back for my Cuban with Gouda and tea shortly! Love this place!!

I literally live right next to it. Cool place with great customers. Staffs are really helpful...no coffees from outside allowed here...free WiFi...best thing...its kinda on its own on 42nd...its a residential area..I feel really comfy over there....check on the schedule before hand.

Unreliable and unprofessional.Update: Their online order system also doesnt work -- twice I came in to find an order I had placed more than 20 min ago had not been received. No improvement in reliability over the past year.
