Ive been playing Northdale since the 80s. I have never seen this course in such poor shape. The fairways - weeds, the rough - high weeds, no sand in traps and not raked in months. Carts paths have pot holes, you lose your shots in the rough slowing play. All water holes have weeds growing tall. On #9 you can not see the fairway with the 20 foot weeds, which cover the stream all along the length of the whole. The greens use to be the only decent quality, but now theyre punched, not getting needed TLC. It took 1 hour to play 10 and 11 because people were starting on ten, slowing the morning golfers making the turn. At that point I quit and walked back to my car. I have never seen Northdale in such bad shape. No green fee is worth playing here. Sad.

Unfortunately Im required to give it one star, but if I could it would be zero stars... Yep, a ZERO star review! Ive played golf my whole life and have never been on a more poorly maintained course. Absolutely the worst conditions Ive ever seen! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

Had a fun day at Northdale. It has a pretty good layout with some really good holes. #9 and #16 stand out in particular. Boy was it packed. Dont know if it was overbooked, but it was a good 5 hour round... so, so slow. Some of the greens could use some TLC as well as a few of the fairways. Overall positive experience.

$20 for a round, burger, fries and a beer. Honestly well worth it. You can tell it’s been raining like crazy lately but as long as you keep the ball in the fairway or don’t mind rolling it around occasionally for a good lie, this course was great. Especially for the price.The greens have been lightly sanded but rolled surprisingly well at about an 8 speed. Staff was friendly. Course wasn’t super crowded so I was able to play 18 in 2.5hrs after work on a Tuesday. Food was good, beer was cold and course was forgiving for the most part. I’ll be back.Tip: grab you beer before you start and call in your dinner at the 8th to pick it up at the turn.

We used to like going here but the course needs mowing -it’s not raining somebody should be mowing - heard the food was good wanted to try it but tge whole place smelled so strong of onions-

I dont like this golf course. The drainage is poor after heavy rains and you can lose a ball in the fairways when this happens 😢. The layout and design of the golf course is very good though. This is a personal evaluation of Northdale based on my own experiences.

Course was in nice shape. No waiting and was able snap photos.

In a word? Yuck. From them not disclosing the front nine was closed due to aerating, to the saturation of some of the teas on the back nine, to the landscaping being mowed right in front of the tee box as youre teeing off (11 am!) and the greens being punched like yesterday, this isnt even a fun course. The cart path is broken to pieces and in many areas outright potholes. Obviously the lack of deed restrictions have allowed residence to commit outright code enforcement violations. Oh! . almost forgot to mention the very short fairways and the gas burn on 17th green. Sad....

The course was in good condition. Some of the fairways are a little tight. You needed to stay in the fairways. The rough was really bad(thick). Almost impossible to find ball. unless you were standing right over it.

Don’t come here if you’re trying to play well. They don’t mow the grass around the fairways and clearly don’t know what a weed wacker is. They should pay you to play at this dog track of golf course. I wouldn’t let my dog play here.

Greens rolling real nice fairways are in decent shape rough is a little high so need to hit fairways but real good course

Horrible experience today. We will never play there again and we play all over the state . They kept coming out to ask us to hurry and move to the next hole so you guys can leave. There Was no reasoning behind it. When no one was behind us. Some in our groups skin is darker (POC) than the average clientele and they sure did show us we werent welcome there. And it was about a 45 minute drive to play the course.Also very thick and the balls kept getting lost.

Today Northdale looked and felt in good shape. The greens were truly rolled pretty smooth the fairways were pretty decent great day to golf Pace was a little slow but all is well.

Golf today Aug 22 and what a disaster. Cart paths are more like goal paths and the roughs haven’t seen a mover in ages. Fairways are so narrow that are almost impossible to land on. Never have I lost so many balls and that’s with four players looking. Save your time, money and balls

After recently moving to Florida, Ive been exploring golf courses all over Tampa. This is by far the best-value course. Great quality and not too expensive.

Course soaking wet rough 6inches high asked worker why the grass was so high he said we only 4 workers maybe thats why the grass isnt getting cut and if that wasnt enough the next worker we encountered drove his mower about 5 yards behind and kept the mower running while I was hitting my second shot in the fairway I wont be back and inform everyone i know not waste their money

Pace of play was 6+ hours and it was just two of us. No starter, overbooked, and hacks looking for lost balls on every hole. Had to leave on hole 14 because we couldnt take it anymore, if youre a beginner this is probably the course for you, if not spend your money elsewhere.

Need to let us know when the greens are punched. Its like putting on a PLINKO board out there.

Great Golf Course!! The money they put in to it a few years ago made it even better. I grew up on the course and love every hole.

Golf course is in terrible condition, be real careful with their debit machine it malfunctions which it did to me three times declining my card twice as debit then as credit so I just paid cash and 2 days later I notice it went thru my account and now there GM who’s the only one allowed to fix it tells me it didn’t go thru it’s pending so I called my bank and it has went thru so now I’ve paid twice for a terrible condition golf course so I’ve disputed it with my bank so be careful with Dan the GM he’s not a very honest person to deal with I recommend you play at one of the many other nice courses we have in our area.

The manager takes part of a Sunday morning mens league, with zero regard for standing reservations. No plan for delays, no starting on whole 10, just a lot of no. Nice course, so its disappointing that management does not value their customers time.

Rough was a little long. Fairways and greens were okay.

I almost do not know where to start. I called and booked a tee time a couple of days in advance and called a day prior to add a fourth person. When we showed up, we were told we had to play the back nine twice because they had an event going on in the front nine. We paid full price but it was not a big deal. It was never communicated the two times I called.When we were playing, there were 6 duos (all playing separately) behind us. Ive never been to a course that doesnt pair people up. We were hit into more than a few times. Two kids passed us (while flicking us off) so we decided to stop at the turn and let 5 duos play through because we didnt want to get smacked in the back of the head. We ended up leaving once there was a shirtless person playing on the course in a quad behind us. He was frequently yelling at us from the tee, fairway and green. I live in the area and think its a nice course, but I do not see myself or my golf partners playing here anytime in the future.

Recently visited the golf course, was only to complete ten holes and needed a rain check. What house to get a rain check the gentleman in the clubhouse was flirting with a young girl in the Pro Shop. When I requested assistance with a rain check. He refused to help me. He definitely gave off the impression that I was a bother. I asked to speak to the manager and he told me there was not one working that day. I asked for the managers name and he refused to give it to me. Needless to say I will never return. Very disappointed with the lack of customer service and the unwillingness to resolve my issues.

Greens a very nice but fairways and tees are being over run with dollar weed and clover. New owners are building new bathrooms but doing very little extra to improve condition of the course.

This is the course closest to my home but the one I play the least. Tee times seem to not matter as they will take anyone at any time. The pace of play is so slow I can drive 45 min away to another course and still get home quicker. Its too bad because they layout is not bad and the pricing is fair. Be prepared to spend 5 hrs. at the course with most of it waiting to hit your shot.

Worst golf course in the Tampa Bay area, will never go back, been playing there since the 80s, they did re-do the the inside and its nice but I dont go there to eat

Greens, tee boxes, and fairways are in good condition right now. The rough can have spots of hard dirt and sand along with the thicker grass. This is a straight and wide course which forgives poor tee shots. The sloped greens will make for harder putts. Cart paths need some work, but most balls will land in playable locations.

Course in terrible shape, paid for 18 but played 9 so asked for a rain check on the back 9, under “new ownership” there is no refunds or rain checks. That’s fine, won’t play here ever again.

Good track, challenging but yet forgiving. They are remodeling the clubhouse now and its closed. The course is in pretty good shape

Course could be better if the fairways were cut to proper length. Seemed like whole course was a bit unkept. Some flooding on the back nine. Limited selection of drinks most likely due to COVID.

Play here every so often because its so close to home but regret it every time. Way better courses out there for the price.

The course was in great shape and even the bunkers were clean. I only went to golf so I cant speak for the tennis aspect. They do have walkers, carts (that are in good condition) and cool new scooters that are like mini motorcycles. In the clubhouse the bartender and cook were really nice and the food was great. The food and beer were prices were decent.

I am a member of their player development program. $20 per month but i get to play 9 holes for $10 before 8 am and after 3 pm. All the staff are great.

I had heard from several people independently that the pizza was outstanding. We gave it a shot and wow were they correct. What makes this spot great is the old world focus on great ingredients and refined techniques. It was obvious the chefs appreciation for craft, tradition and patience is the best way to go if you like good pizza. Much better than any local chain by far.

Course was in pretty good condition. Bunkers were a little hard and tees were difficult to put in at a few of the tee boxes, but still in great condition and a very fun/tough course to play. With the friendly staff here, youve got yourself a great golfing experience. Will be back!

The fairways were a bit rough in spots, but the greens were in excellent shape. Much faster than expected, but it was easy to get a good, consistent feel for them. This isnt a very challenging course, with short par 5s and mostly wide holes for those less than accurate drives, but there is a good amount of water and well-placed bunkers to make things interesting. One of the better prices in the area for in-season golf. Ill definitely go back again for a round!

Course is in wonderful shape no complain. I came with my team of 12 we all agreed on how great the atmosphere was here. Food is awesome.

They claim to have the best greens in Tampa. Every green had patches of sand on it. Every fairway had crabgrass/weeds all over the place so you could find the middle of the fairway and still have to hit out of some thick weeds. The tee boxes are beat up and divots are everywhere on all the tee boxes. The cart paths NEED to be repaved. Youre better off staying on the fairway as you drive otherwise its a bumpy ride for sure. If they pride themselves the way they advertise it, then they need to get new management, cause it is completely rundown. The website says they have a driving range, but its only a hitting net and it cost 50$ for an 830am tee time. Had I known the condition of the course before I paid, I would have left. Not worth half the price I paid. Extremely disappointed with this course. Will not go back and will not recommend to anyone.

This place is an absolute dump. Crab grass and weeds in every single Fairway completely underwater cant even stand in half the course without sinking in four to six inches. 0 recommendation on this one. Probably have a better time at Congo River Rapids and be able to play more of the course

Awful.... first time here and although the course was ok it was a terrible pace of play... day started off with getting stuck behind a group of 4, 3 of which had never played golf before which is fine but THEY WERE ALL SHARING THE SAME BAG OF CLUBS.. isn’t there a rule where each player has their own set? Then we get stuck behind another inconsiderate group of 4 who were taking multiple shots each until they were satisfied with their shots.... absolutely no range master to monitor pace of play... overall a negative experience... will not be returning

Stopped for a beer one night. It was cold and not flat!! Better than some bars I visit. And Tiffany the bartender was super friendly. She must be the owner. Such attention to detail. Always kept my glass full.

Very nice place to play... Challenging and inexpensive. Yes, the place doesnt look like a million bucks and you may lose a few balls when the fringe is high, but the tee boxes, fairways, greens and toughness of the course are outstanding. I like how the owner(s) make the course trying by placing the hole in difficult spots, allows me to up my game. Josh W.

Not the fanciest course but I love it. The staff is always polite and accommodating. I practice on their green two-three times a week and play every week or sometimes every other week if Im busy. Theyre great guys, never seem to mind if Im just practicing that day which makes me a ton more comfortable.Ice water in the clubhouse which is basically a life-saver.NOT a complaint, but the course is, like almost all of them around here, pretty flat and predictable. Can still swallow lots of balls if you let it. The par 3s are a blast, particularly the two on the front 9. Greens are always, always in great shape and rather fast. Their stimp-meter stays on 11, I think Ive also seen it at 115, so even on the holes that seem easy youve always gotta be careful.Thanks for always being awesome guys!

The player development program is completely false advertising. They indicate that they have a real driving range and even have pictures of one on the website. In truth, they have no driving range all they have is a net to hit into. I wasted time driving over here only to find out you want to charge $20 a month to hit into a net which I can do in my own backyard. Honestly I would have no problem with it if you wasnt false advertising showing pictures of a real driving range.

With all the rain weve gotten here in Florida it was really wet. Balls could be list in the middle of the fairways.

Course floods a lot no thanks to Mother Nature. However, staff and crew work extremely hard to keep the course playable and challenging. Owner spending for many upgrades. Itll be awesome!

Not very challenging, even from the blues. Expect your typically slow municipal rounders here. Greens were super slow, mostly flat and uneventful. Would not recommended this course unless youre a beginner it just dont care where you play. Lots of untapped potential in this course for better and more challenging design and up keep.

Enjoy the food here! Great golf course and pretty reasonable too. I like that it is right in my neighborhood. Hubby and I get drinks here once a month too.

Nice course for the price. I live on the course and the grounds crew are constantly working to maintain it. It can get mucky during the rainy season, but the water usually drains off pretty quick. Food is good and very cold beer.

Our church has had our last 2 tournaments at Northdale. Golf Club. The managers are super friendly and will go out of their way to ensure your tournament is a success. The location is great and ease of accessing or leaving the course is easy. The kitchen opened early so golfers could enjoy a coffee or snack before getting started. Contests were set up, hole sponsors in place, and everything in order - which takes a load off those hosting. I would not hesitate to recommend Northdale Golf Club for any event. The new manager and team have it all together!

I have been playing at Northdale for several years now and have had nothing but great experiences. The staff is great and the greens are always in very nice shape. The rates are a good value, especially with an insider plus membership. Insider plus allows you to receive discounts at Northdale and at other area courses, gives you access to an online handicap system, and allows for 10 day advanced tee time reservations. For $30 a year you cant beat it. This is the course I choose to play most often.

Even though the course is over an hour away, its a nice course to play at a descent price. Use to play it a lot when I lived over that way. Still enjoy going back from time to time.

Greens were rolling a true 12 on stemp meter . Smooth and fast. Course is in wonderful shape. Some of the area golf courses could learn from them. Played lots around area. Payed a lot more for golf but nothing compairs to them

We play bingo at this place on Mondays. Have a great time playing there on Mondays. Theres bingo on Thursday at the Golf country club too starts at 6pm.

Great course. Amazing greens. Great layout. great staff. The only problem they have is golfers with poor golf etiquette and lack of knowledge of the game. Fix your divots and ball marks, so called golfers

Course was in good shape. Enjoyed the day.

Pace of play was very bad. I was a single in mid-afternoon. The twosome in front of me quit on #2 due to how slow it was. The twosome in front of them played through a threesome on #4. I caught up a to threesome on #5 tee, but they would not let me through for some reason. I quit at #9 due to the slow pace of play. The greens were in good shape, not very fast, and no undulation. The tees were a bit torn up, and fairways were average. As for the front nine, pretty short course but have to keep it in play. (PS: Pro Shop called after I let them know of my experience and they were very kind and apologetic).

Have never played golf or tennis there, but the pizzaria is great!! It can be a little slow at times, but thats because they want to keep the quality as high as possible... and it shows. Very friendly staff who go out of their way to make their customers happy. The prices are pretty decent too, given how large the portions are, and they post specials on their Facebook page.

Course was in good shape. Well equipped pro shop. Play was slow and ranger never drove the course.

Worst Course Ive played in years. Was told holes 9 and 18 were under water FINE... BUT was not told all the ter boxes were under construction. Hitting tee shots out of the ruff and high grass was not cool at all and was changed $34.00 to play. We play at Heritage Isle for $25.00 a round. 1st and LAST time we play Northdale. Poor Customer Service. Next Time Put in on your site that you are UNDER CONSTRUCTION...

The course is ok. The day I played the ground was super hard. I had trouble putting tees in the ground. The Friday twilite deal is ok, 20 for golf, bev, and a sandwich unless you are a vegetarian for which they offer no options.

Nice course, longer than I expected, fairly open for a residential course. Nothing spectacular, but worth a return trip.

The greens are exceptional and thats it. The tee boxes are torn up, and much of the fairway is also, including allowing carts onto fairways in bad weather leaving mud marks everywhere. There is no sand in the bunkers, its dirt.Also a 5 hr. round is not enjoyable. Sat 11:15 am. tee time finishing at 4:10.. one more thing if your rude at the pro shop when a customer checks in, dont expect them to come back.

Course are in great shape (especially the greens), but the course was overcrowded. Took over fivde hours to play 18 holes, They also have issues with running out of carts. If not for these problems I would give the course 5 stars.

I played at Northdale this morning and all tee boxes are under construction. I havent played this course for over a year and now I remember. Why. While the greens are in nice shape the rest of the course is in disrepair. The course management should be ashamed for being gone or asking full price. I dont k ow how this course is on anyones rador to play when there are so many choices in the greater Tampa / Wesley Chapel area...end of story.

They warned us that the conditions were wet I did not tell us that every T was under construction and you had to tee off from the rough, They charge just a normal price, a totalrip off. I will never play there again
