I had a great experience! The facility was clean, the manager John was incredibly helpful and polite. This will would be my go to place for storage.

Consumer Beware, shady business practices taking place. Bought out former storage company and started charging excessive fees without notice. I was on a year contract with the former storage company and when CubeSmart bought them out they changed it to month to month without notice. Two hefty price increases within a span of less than 6 months. Year contracts are available but you have to personally request it. I feel grossly taken advantage of as a consumer.Consumer, Note: CubeSmart took over this facility approximately a year ago. Why Google allows the to keep 59 reviews on a facility they didnt own 4 years ago makes no sense to me.

I’ve had a unit here for around 2 years. I am moving out because we bought a bigger house. I’ll use them again if I ever need space. Friendly people, clean space and climate controlled. Large elevators make moving things easy. Paul was terrific on move out day. Storing stuff is expensive anywhere. When you need the space, SpaceBox made it a great experience.

I lived in Tampa all my life and I’ve been through a lot of storage facilities in Florida and out of Florida and by far this is the best storage facility I’ve been to. I’m not going to mention any names in South Tampa but I think they should really take some notes from this facility. The facility is very clean the bathroom is constantly smelling good which is a very big plus in my book and I couldn’t say anything bad about it because my experience was excellent. I’ve dealt with Paul (facility manager) and I’ve dealt with Chuck (assistant manager) both excellent and professional people. I really hope this brand grows and becomes the face of storage in South Tampa!Thank you again, Paul and Chuck for giving me this awesome experience!

Buyer beware. Great facility and pleasant people but the unfortunate catch is that we just received notice of a 25% increase in monthly rent with 30 days notice. Moved into that unit summer 2019 at which time was verbally assured to expect at max an annual ~10% increase. Classic bait and switch to drive up occupancy. Read your lease carefully and be prepared for rate increases.

What an amazing place for storage! This new facility met all of our needs. The lobby is clean, open and inviting. We appreciated the available supplies and under cover parking. Especially in late July! The units are protected in a cool warehouse. By far the best part of Spacebox was Jeffery! He greeted us with a smile, took the time to show us different units, answered all of our questions and even checked on us at the end of our move. I highly recommend this place for anyone needing a place for storage.

So the store manger (Paul) made me realize how much human communication actually matters. I came to the storage facility because I’ve heard so much good stuff about it but when I got there Paul informed me that their systems are down due to a frontier outage but that didn’t stop Mr. Paul! He showed me the a few units he told me more about the facility and about their other branches in Florida. I sat with him for a good half hour and all I could say is he’s a hard-working man and he also mentioned to me that he is a student so I would not be surprised if he’s a brilliant student also. Great manager. Great location. Clean facility. Cannot be any more satisfied.

We recently rented a storage unit from this facility and we love it! The storage facility is clean and well maintained. The facility is air conditioned and the elevator access and carts makes it easy to move things in and out of the unit. Great deal for storage and the best location we found in the south Tampa area. The security is top notch. The management is very nice and responsive. And to top it off, they provide a moving truck to assist you in moving your belongings into the unit. I can’t say enough positive things about this facility!

We used Space Box for over a year and rate it highly. The units are clean and the property well maintained. I like the parking overhang that makes it easy to use no matter the weather. Everyone was always helpful and friendly.

The monthly rent continues to increase without explanation. In less than one year my rent went from $103 to $188. The facility is clean and safe but the nearly doubled rent in one year will force me to change companies. Beware...

Jeff was extremely courteous and professional. The facility is extremely clean and easy to access, with ample covered parking. They also gave me the most competitive offer. Having a truck on site to use during my move was a huge selling point. They made my move a lot easier, and I highly recommend them.

The units are perfectly sized. It building itself is very secure with multiple cameras and is well lit. They had excellent customer service. Jeff was super friendly and helped my friend and I get a unit. He explained all the pricing very clearly and showed us where it was located. Great staff that was very helpful. I didnt know if I needed 10 or 20 square feet (because I never used storage before) so I was offered a 15 foot location that was directly across from two 10 foot boxes. If 15 was too small, 20 would be there and if 20 was too small the 10 and 15 combined would work. W my truck got there the staff told me that I would need a 20 footer and gave me one as close to the door as possible. Super helpful gent. And they have a truck to loan you, if needed,

Monday, August 19, 2019, walked down to this store to discover a locked door with a sign that read Be back at 9. Its 12:15 in the afternoon. Where are you?Called their number and got no answer except for recording that says, Mailbox is full.Amateur hour. Hopefully those doors are closed permanently.

Very nice storage facility. It is a great location and they have great management. It was a pleasure to do business with them. I will definitely refer family and friends there!

Ive had a lot of storage units in my day and dealt with quite a few mini-storage companies and SpaceBox exceeds expectations in every area! First, the staff ... the manager, Paul, is a courteous professional whose familiarity with the facility, its features and benefits and various promotions offered at any given time -or in future- is impressive; as is his dedication to SpaceBox protocols which makes me feel comfortable and secure in my decision to store there.Then theres the three floors of temperature controlled, lighted, indoor storage units ranging in size from 5x5 to 10x15 that are conveniently accessed by elevator and the dual coded entry key-pads to both the building and elevator offering further security for the facility.The closed-circuit security cameras monitored during business hours by Paul or his staff, the use of easily managed and nicely sized dollys for hauling stuff to-and-fro, ample parking and the on-site dumpster in addition to availability of every type of packing supply, moving blankets and a full compliment of locks for purchase make SpaceBox a convenient one-stop all-inclusive remedy for ridding yourself of all that extra stuff!That Paul is congenial and helpful, welcoming and ready to assist (as well as ABLE to!) with whatever your moving, storage or packing needs may be (something that cant be said for many the storage place) is the whipped cream on this sundae! Did I mention they even have a truck you can rent? Big box truck - perfect for moving, great rates, too.Me thinks SpaceBox has thought of everything and has executed their vision expertly!

We visited several storage facilities in South Tampa and found Spacebox to have similar rates but in a brand new facility with available units close to the door. The manager Jeffrey is very helpful and professional. They even loan you a truck for you move in day.

Note that the review below was for the previous ownership. Amending because a friend read my old review and contacted me to report her recent visit. Place was bought by new conglomerate. Dumpster access is forbidden and locked off...Coffee and water gone.no more truck. 2 and a half months without working cameras. No one answers phone after hours per the sad new tenant i met in the garage recently. The only positive is the music system installed and the choice of music played.And then there is Spacebox.The professionalism encountered there 2 months ago caused me to move from 2 major storage companies to this individually owned property managed by Paul.Imagine a can do attitude - he actually calls you to let you know when the truck is available vs the big box guy who just said, sorry not available. ... or the time he saw a client struggle with a box, and ran to assist and i can go on and on. His energy shows. He willingly showed 3 different units in opposite parts of the buildings vs the guy who huffed when we requested to see the options. ! I moved 3 units from 3 major chains there after testing it with one.SpaceBox is the rare independently owned storage place in South Tampa. Seminole and Heights was bought out by a BIG chain... and they FIRED the decent manager who was there. Not cooll....The Big Chains sent me HUGE AND CONVOLUTED contracts and yes, i read them. CRAZY stuff. SpaceBox has a normal contract, a dumpster, a coffee maker in the officer,a BATHROOM accessible to those in need. and has fair rates and attractive specials.In my opinion, the biggest asset is the person behind the desk and the owners, whoever they are, have well chosen. I have referred to this storage manager and he has satisfied my friends! (previous storage manager charged and overcharged for everything --- they have the ability to waive certain fees.Paul is fair, represents his owners well, is understanding, is willing to assist and does what he says he will do. No surprise there. I ll keep sending referrals to a company that is smart enough to know a quality employee and to give him levity to assist their clients. O and you save money!ps. all units are lit! you can see in your unit. not so everywhere sadly!i should know--- i am a storage expert! used 6 companies intermittently over the last 20 years.
