Great service and their prices are excellent, I was surprised at the cost since they had to do some additional repair work, it was really reasonable and totally worth it for my el-cheapo. Playing left handed means guitar buying can be a nightmare and I really loved the tone of this guitar, so having it repaired means a lot to me. These guys are the bomb.

I have a Martin J 40 and unfortunately, I forgot that you cant leave a strap in the case, or it will ruin the finish and it did ! ( not covered by Martin Warranty ) I read the reviews on Guitar Repair and decided to have them fix my guitar. I just got it back, and what a job Ben did ! Youd never know the back finish was damaged. Ben also repaired the binding around the neck, lowered the action, and put on new expensive strings. All at a very reasonable price. Thank you Ben and everyone there. Great bunch of guys, that take pride in what they do !

If you are like me then you are passionate about playing and keeping your guitars in top condition. Shouldnt the person working on your instrument be just as passionate? Mick and Ben are two of the best not just locally but nationally. Dont trust your instrument to just any chain store dude with a file and wire cutters. You may get more than you bargained for. These guys will do you right!

Bob did a superb job in modifying my strat, making it a true super strat. He installed a Floyd Rose system, replaced my Shawbuckers with DiMarzio super distortion and D-Activator pickups, rewired the volume and tone pots so I now have 2 volume controls and 1 tone (was 1 vol and 2 tone). With the additional vol control I can actually get 2 additional pickup variations by playing the outer or inner single-coils. That is 7 tone variations now. He also swapped out the treble bleed. Bob took great care in working with the guitar. The guitar looks and feels great. He took the time to show me the changes he made. He also gave me his personal guarantee that hell make any adjustments or fixes to the work if I dont like something about the work or setup. Im totally happy with the job he did. He finished it quicker than expected knowing how much work they have there. Others in the shop are equally professional. This is my go-to place for repairs now. Thanks GRTB!

I took my stratocaster I found on Craigslist in because the electronics were shot and the strings were all different heights. They asked me if I wanted a tour of the operation, and were very thorough showing me around. Really great group of guys. Dropped off on a Friday, picked it up on Wednesday. Price was good and my guitar plays amazing. Highly recommend. Customer service is top notch!

No doubt is the best luthiers in Tampa but dont bring your low end guitar to this place dont wanna get my experience long month and one week with my epi Riviera after that have to go back to straight up a mess with the strings and still having problems dont take me wrong this guys are the best but only if you bring to them highly brand name guitars they dont perform good cheap ones is a shame i personally love this people but not suitable for my crappie guitars epis good luck if you bring one of tihs

I have a guitar that I let sit and that my son decided to take !!he Trem system out of. I had them put new pot pup selector, input jack in and replaced all three pups on it. Took my Casino in for a setup. I forgot to mention that one of my knobs needed reattaching, and then thought lets see if they fix it anyway. If they do, theyll have me for life. They fixed it! Aside from that small detail, my guitar feels completely new and no longer has tuning issues even with my constant capo changes. This is your go-to luthier for Tampa.Ask about their Crackercaster and their line of guitars and basses that they now make. They wont hesitate to show you around the place to see the different cuts of wood they have and the models they have in the works.

I have to say, I was a little squeamish about bringing my new Squier Strat into Mick and Bens shop...but they couldnt been any nicer about it!!! Ben fixed my jack on the spot, gave me a tour of the shop, their guitars and all of the woods they offer, it was an amazing experience, and Im very greatful they are here in Tampa Bay!! Nevermind bringing your guitars to that Walmart-like superstore to get fixed, do yourself a favor and give these guys a call, youll be happy you did!!!

I took a 52 year old classical guitar that had serious repair issues: bridge lifting off of body, body caving around bridge, and neck separating from body. In 2 weeks it was completely restored and ready to be heard once again. I was told if any problems reappear, just bring it back. Its been a month and it continues to play as new.

Past review is below... Just picked up my brand new Crackercaster T. Had to wait 6 months for it - these guys custom craft these guitars one at a time. Was it worth the wait... Heck yeah!!! what an awesome guitar! I had a Fender MIM Telecaster and a Gladiator Telecaster. This is a VERY different sounding guitar than the Fender versions or copies, it sounds MUCH better! Hand crafted from Florida naive woods looks and plays great. If you want the classic Tele sound dont buy one, if you want something MUCH BETTER, the price is right and the craftsmanship is a whole lot better. This from a guy who owns a USA Fenders Strat and loves it!&&&&&&&&&&&&&Mick and Ben do great work, are VERY knowledgeable about guitars and are priced reasonably.Dont let the location, put you off, these guys are the real deal!Going forward I will only take my guitars to them for work even though it means driving from East Hillsborough to the other side of the county!
