I do not recommend them. Sold us a rebuilt motor and said he would guarantee parts for year. We have had nothing but issues. The water pump went out he charged us, other issues He is not true to his word and the motor is junk.

All I can say about Brian is that he is probably the best outboard mechanic in the state! He repaired a motor for me 15 years ago, I sold that boat and recently saw it still running! I had him install a new powerhead on one of my 350 Yamahas recently and it runs like new. Had an issue with my trim sensor, and even after the 6 month warranty has expired, he has continued to follow up. The person that gave Franzen a bad review a couple of weeks ago, needs to understand Brian is practically a one man show, and because hes good at what he does, he is extremely busy! He has no time to socialize. There are dozens of motors on the property, he is constantly working, and you must be patient! Trust me, when I first met Brian I was a little intimidated because hes not really talkative, but hes great! His work speaks for itself! So if you want a great used engine, look no further! Everyone in the industry knows this guy is an amazing mechanic and will do the job right!

Brian put me back on the water, huge thanks to him. A high pressure fuel line blew on my HPDI and after calling more than a dozen places he called me back and had one. I was on a camping trip with my friends from out of town and I don’t think SeaTow would have hauled our stuff from the island. Motor was fixed so the sunset was back on the agenda!!

I cant say enough about the service and support that we have received since purchasing our 2012 300 Verado from Brian Franzen. He has gone above and beyond a number of times in the last year to help with quick fixes and regular maintenance. When we decided to buy our engine a year ago we weighed many options, one of the biggest being cost. Cost is what we payed... Value is really what matters at the end of the day. Extremely pleased with my experience with Brian & Franzen Marine. Brought by outboard in for 300 hour service, decided to replace my steering system & throttle while I was at it. Brian & the team knocked it out in 24 hours! I ran the boat all weekend and everything works beautifully & the motor has never run better. Brian is a straight up no BS guy. If you want something done, ask the busiest person.

Spoke to Brian about having a rusted out exhaust pipe in my 130 Yamaha. Told me to come up. Checked it out and told me that power head needs to be removed and a bunch of new parts to be installed. He quoted me $800 for everything. I thought that to be a fair price and left the boat. Called me a week later, told me boat was done and that he was able to do the whole job for $545!!!! I was thrilled. Picked it up and it performed flawlessly. Franzen Marine and Brian the owner, are professionals, straight forward, no fluff, no gimmicks. Both my outboard motors Died with in a day of each other. My mechanic recommended Franzen marine. I Spoke to Brian and he had two 250 merc Verado’s at a fair price including new electronic controls. So I bought them and Franzen marine delivered them to my mechanic and they were installed and they ran perfect for about a month and I started seeing oil leaking from the port motor. After my mechanic check and check we finally found a small crack in the block under the fly wheel that no one could of seen slow leak. I contacted Brian Franzen and he said he would make it right. Well he kept his word and replaced complete power head and calibrated all my gauges that my mechanic didn’t do. Brian and his men are very professional and knowledgeable at what they do and a pleasure to do business with. I will definitely buy my next motors from Brian. Purchased a used 300 Yamaha from Brian in May 2018. I would have never purchased a used motor but learned of his business from a few friends over in Saint Petersburg. They told me that Brian backs up anything that he sells. Also my long term mechanic told me that Brian is one of the sharpest guys with trouble shooting Yamaha’s on west coast of Florida. With that being said I went and bought a 300 yamaha from Brian. Unfortunately for us both there was an issue with motor on first day on water. What I can say is that Brian has taken care of it immediately. He is backing up his sale to me 100 percent.
