Kristina and Mikel were nothing but an absolute pleasure to work with. Having never commissioned a hat before, I had no idea whatsoever what to expect. I was guided through the process and had all of my questions answered along the way. The possibilities are truly endless. When there was something I wasnt too sure of, I deferred to their expertise and allowed them to make a decision for me.Does the process take time? Yes. Yes it does. But one ought not to think of this as walking into a store and picking up a hat... Rather this is art. You are commissioning a piece that is all your own. Art, the creation of things, the expressions of feelings, all takes time. Patience is key, but you will not be disappointed. Absolutely worth every penny and every moment spent waiting.I could not be happier.

I stopped in to look at the selection. These people are amazing at their craft and very friendly. They sized me. Ultimately I decided my gorgeous locks neednt be covered but I hope they accept this review as payment for their time.

Visited Taos in early August 2020, ordered a custom hat and left 1/2 of the estimated total as a deposit.After several inquiries (one with no response), I was informed of injuries and a family death that caused delays. Not once have the owners reached out to me, on their own, with updates or any information.Now it’s March, 2021 and the business has posted numerous new hats on their Instagram feed over the past two months. Inquired over month ago about my hat status and was told my hat was “in the next batch”. New hats continue to be posted but still no updates from the business about my hat.I inquire on Instagram about my hat ETA. Get contacted from the business. I express frustration seeing so many new hats posted on Instagram with zero, unsolicited, contact from them only to be told my order was being cancelled and they would reimburse my deposit.Received full reimbursement of my deposit and agree it’s not a good idea to support this local business that has such poor customer service.I understand things happen and these hats are like artwork that take time but considering all the issues the business has experienced I’d expect them to reach out to me to keep me updated and I’d expect a hat that was ordered so long ago, with a sizable deposit, would be a priority. Unfortunately this was not the case.

I visited their store in Taos and it was a fun experience - seeing the variety of hand craftsmanship. They support local and other artists. The hats are one of a kind! Great store to visit.
