Pinellas Auto is the best auto service provider I have ever used. When my Toyota sienna seemed like it was on its last legs, they made it drive like a new car. I have used them before. Not for their service or their price. I strongly recommend.

I brought my vehicle in for what I thought was an air-conditioning problem. The team at Pinellas Auto spent an hour diagnosing my vehicle and could not find a problem. The best news is they didn’t charge me for the diagnostic time! They were very professional and I would definitely go back when I have other repair needs.

Just recently had new tires and front brakes as well as spark plugs replaced at their shop. Their mechanic Jimmy did the work. He also replaced the air filter and cabin filter. My 2014 Sonata feels and runs like a brand new car! I have been bringing my car here for almost 6 years now and they always do an amazing job.

They give me full estimates up front, no surprises. My mechanic is the best, and helps me maintain my Honda in optimum running condition. Preface: I dont like disparaging a small business and I dont write reviews. These people inspired me to inform others of my unfortunate experience. In addition, Yelp shows Shannan T., the manager, with her own 5-star review posted right after I left.Last night, my car shut down while I was driving. I have not had any major issues with my vehicle, and Ive owned it for 9 years. It has served me well, but of course, these things start to happen at higher mileage. The driver told me he suspected it was the fuel pump and later, when I filled out the drop-off form, I mentioned this.At 8 AM, I received a call from the receptionist and she stated that the diagnostic would be $40. She said they would remove it with service, and I acquiesced.An hour later, she said the mechanic could not find the issue and it would be another $85. Later, they told me that they meant it would be a *total* of $85, not $125.Because she did not communicate that their diagnostic test is not a flat fee, like for example, Tires Plus lets you know up front, I was more than perturbed, I was livid. It sounded as if I were being penalized, baited-and-switched for their incompetence (It took Tires Plus one hour to find the problem following this incident). I left the drop-off note as a trail of bread crumbs for what should have been an easier diagnosis. So why should it take this mechanic longer? They apparently milk it and charge for a diagnosis by the hour; they might want to let the customer know that up front.I admittedly yelled at the receptionist with an, Are you f****** kidding me? and she remained silent. I asked again. She still remained silent. I said, You are silent right now because you KNOW this is wrong. She still remained silent. I said I was coming to get my key, I said god****you and I hung up.When I arrived via Lyft, I found my vehicle (see pictures on Yelp) with the hood up, window open (I dont know why or how it was open because the car had no power to get it open and I couldnt close it afterward), a hose exposed and other assorted parts like my filter gathered into my passenger seat. The Lyft driver was appalled at the scene. I requested that the receptionist take a look at how my car was left and I asked her what kind of place it was. The manager, Shannan, followed her out.Shannan smiled the entire time I expressed distress over the situation. I asked her if she felt it funny, and while she said no, she continued to facially express it with an even bigger smile. She said, Well, you were rude to my receptionist.Emotions can get high when you bait-and-switch a customer with something as serious as their vehicle, which for most of us, is the vessel for our livelihood: work. While I should not have yelled at the receptionist, she knew that not telling me their diagnostic fee could increase was wrong and at least looked and sounded as if she acknowledged this. We know when someone understands us and she did understand why I was upset. I actually want to apologize to her because I should have saved the full breadth of my insults for Shannan, who smiled smugly while exclaiming: Its your problem because its your car. Obviously, it IS my problem.Shannan stood there with a verbal shrug: Weve been in business for thirty years, while I asked her how they could be so unprofessional to leave parts of my car in literal pieces, IN my passenger seat, with the hood up and car open in the middle of their parking lot. Anyone could have robbed my car of parts while it sat there, open and abandoned. They never even took the car inside their garage.They may have been there for 30 years, but Ive been here for 33 and this is not how you run a business. The mechanic never showed his face and he never spoke to me. He sent out his two receptionists to gloat at me while he cowered inside.I had to waste another AAA tow to move my vehicle.Dont let this happen to you.

For over 5 years I have been taking my car to this Pinellas Auto Radiator and AC. I have had tires replaced, rotations, brake jobs, alignments, transmission fluid changes, ac work, battery replacement, etc. Every job they have done has been spot on. Their shop is well organized and well run. I plan to keep taking my cars there for years to come.

Today I had a appointment to repair my exhaust pipe. The cost was very reasonable. Customer service was friendly and also cleaned and wiped keys and credit card. This was my first time using Pinellas auto. I will return to have my car serviced here again.

I was outrageously overcharged for a thermostat and housing replacement.I wasnt from the state, thought my car broke down in tarpon springs.The shop had good reviews so I brought first thing in the morning.The shop was some distance so I had to leave it for and estimate and take an Uber back.About 2 hours later I get a call that it will cost $660.00 to replace a thermostat and housing, which the cost is about $30.00.I guess they figured I was from out of town, I was tired and with covid 19 going onI question the price but needed it fixed. They stated it was a five hour job, the bolts were Rusty.I started to call shops in the area, and one shop quoted me $225.00, and another shop stated even in the worst situation it would cost you $325.00. I asked both shops would there be any reason for a price that highhey both stated.No way.I called Ellen back at the shop and explained her cost were very high...so she stated she would reduce to $500.00I left them do the work, for Durning this time they already started taking apart and was pain to take Uber back.I would never go there ever again..I urge anyone going to get an estimate and check online prices before having work done.I arrived home in Jersey and had my mechanic look at it and he also stated that its top 1.5 hours of labor.he would of charged me $235.00.How can a business honestly with good faith take advantage of any customer.

I am a do-it-myself auto repair guy but I had a problem with my vehicle that I was having problems diagnosing. I had the problem down to one of two things but each part was several hundred dollars so I wanted a professional opinion before I replaced either part. I looked at reviews online and decided to bring my car into Pinellas Auto based on the excellent reviews. I called them on the phone and they told me to bring my car in and they would take a look at it. I brought it in explained my problems and what I had done to try to diagnose and fix the problem and I told them the two parts I thought were causing the problem. They got back to me in a few hours with a diagnosis of one of the two parts and asked when I wanted to pick my car up. They had a quote prepared but did not try to force them replacing it down my throat like most auto shops. They said, We figured you would want to do it yourself. I picked my car up with no hassle, bought the part, and replaced it. Car is running great now. I would highly suggest this shop to anyone from do-it-yourself repair people and to people needing full service repairs. Accurate diagnostics and low prices. AWESOME.

Very surprised with how great of service I received. Without going into a bunch of detail all I want to say is that theyve earned my respect and my business for any future mechanical issues. Got an alignment done here about a year ago. As I checked in, I simply asked if they would price match for the same service another place was advertising right down the road. The Manager/Owner comes out of her office and takes this tone with me saying they dont do that. Then I got the weve been here for x number of years... She didnt raise her voice, but I didnt need a lecture about it. Asking if you price match for the same service isnt a ridiculous request. Also, my car still pulled to the right after they were done. I didnt go back because I didnt want to deal with it again.

Was looking for a good repair shop, as I am to old to do work on my car anymore. Took a chance on Pinellas Auto and must say, the work they did on my car was excellent. My car was in the shop for 2 weeks. It needed a complete 150K workup plus, a squirrel had eaten into my dash and mangled my a/c ducts, blower and electrical componets. The staff suggested I call my insurance and sure enough, the damage was covered. They saved me over 2K out of pocket expense. This is when I knew I had found a good team, one I will stay with, and recommend to others. I was called by Shannon, the office manager, almost daily with progress reports, and met her brother, one of the 4 mechanics that work at Pinellas Auto. Both explained my bill and the work that was done in detail. When I picked my car up, it ran like the day I bought it, and now I have the piece of mind as to where to bring my car for repairs. I have been dealing with these people for about 6 years. Family owned business and they are as honest as the day is long. It is a pleasure knowing I can take my vehicle in for repairs and they will suggest what is needed and nothing more. In fact I have had them suggest a repair needed but advised me to wait a little longer until another more major repair will be coming due that will include the current repair thereby saving me money. Auto repair shops rank with me about the same as car dealerships but this one is a keeper.

Great service went to have my AC checked it was blowing warm air. Read the reviews and decided to give them a try. Wow got seen right away had to have the compressor replaced. Was given a quote which seem very fair so by the end of the day had nice cold AC!! Will back for sure of other services when needed. Got the feeling when I left that I was treated fairly! Thanks

Doing the right thing by keeping it real. Real as in Family Owned and legit. Pinellas Auto is a trust worthy autoshop that you dont have to stress about. They are upfront about all the information they give you about your repair and they care. I got my brake hydraulic system fixed and now the brakes work fine and even though it took some time to do the repair, it is a pretty big repair, and when working on breaks you want to make sure they are right. Shannan and Paul were very humble and easy to talk to and I will come back again for my future repairs.

I took my Jeep in for a coolant flush which I was quoted a price of 98 dollars. When making appointment was told that price include all materials to perform flush.My lower radiator hose was need of replacement.I purchased the hose and two clamp and ask to have it changed while they had the systems empty. Was told no problem.Upon picking up the Jeep, the price was now 205. Was charged 50 for them to install the hose and had to pay for the coolant which I was told was covered in the original quote.Being a first time customer thought that was not a great experience and will not return or recommend them for any future service.The quality of work was good but feel they definitely have taken advantage of me with the addition of charges not agreed upon.

There is no other place to go to for vehicle repair! The people at Pinellas Auto are just like family. They treat you fairly and are able to sometimes offer cost saving suggestions when it is appropriate. They never oversell you on a repair and are most trustworthy. What are you waiting for?!

I use them for all of my auto needs. When my 2004 Corvette was in an accident, the extensive undercarriage damage and light cosmetic damage was repaired better than new. The family-owned business was very friendly and worked directly with the insurance company. Even the insurance adjuster had high regards for the shop.

Horrible!! Damn @$$***** wanted to charge me x amount with my bought parts. And the same amount to use their crappier parts. And she said. Well its that much cuz of the towels to clean up after and stuff. I cant believe these ppl are still in business. Or maybe they just have all the dumb ppl keeping them in business . THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! Find another mechanic. You have been warned!! They will NEVER EVER even touch my car. Not even for air in my tires!!!!!!! Have a good day readers.
