Great variety of old fashioned candy that reminds you of when you were a kid! The nostalgia alone is worth the trip! The dark chocolate salted caramels melt in your mouth and you cant help but eat more than one! Numerous barrels of salt water taffy with every flavor you can imagine. Be sure to check it out!
A nice wholesome little shop with every candy imaginable including I nes no longer in sale and international but it is very pricy for small portions.
The store hours state they close at 5pm. It is 4:45pm as I sit here writing this review and it is closed. As soon as we were walking up the light was turned off and the door was locked. Do not bother going here. Visit sweets & treats instead. The person working there was so kind and nice.
Spent $80. Lady was incredibly rude. Candy was awful.
Fun store in a perfect location. We love the sponge docks
15$ A POUND!!!! Way too expensive! They have every kind of candy you could imagine, the place was very clean. I got my granddaughter and myself a pretty small bag of candy and it was 22.78!!!
I went there to get candy for my son about a month ago, He picked out a bag of jelly fruits and a toxic waste candy SHE CHARGED ME $20 For all of it They have Ridiculous prices for stuff she gets for under $2... don’t recommend not great
Horrible old candy and crazy high prices. Will never go back. Worst candy shop every. do not recommend this place.
Worse experience ever, rudest young women I have in countered in a long time, I had 3 different candies 3 different prices dumped them all on scale together.. she was the worstShe will take down the business, many complaints about her..
Outrageously expensive. Hubby and I had fun picking out candy. Filled a little bucket. When she checked us out the total was, wait for it, $72.00!!! I laughed and said how much is this a pound, she said 15-16$ a pound. So how does that compute? It doesnt. We had maybe 3 pounds tops. But good selection
Lady works there is rudest person I met in Florida I asked where bags were she said 3 times over there where it says bags the. 3rd time she said oh my god and pointed to a time piece of paper that said bags on wall, took everything to get my wife to walk away she don’t put up with rudeness over priced big time
Cool store with lots of variety, but it is pricey. With two kids, little shopping buckets 1/4 filled, we spend about $60. Weve been a few times and the owner/staff are never friendly. The kids enjoy it, though.
I love all the old fashioned candies sold in this store. A favorite to visit when I’m home to see my family.
Total rip off. They carry my favorite taffy. After buying over $25 worth of taffy, we tried one outside the store. It was so soft and sticky, in a bad way, that we tried to take out back and show her that it was melted and she just said No Returns! The store is extremely warm for the candy to stay in fresh. Buyer beware@
Whenever we go to the Sponge Docks we have to stop at the Candy Barrel. Lots of unique candy you can’t find elsewhere. Have a list from Grandkids what to buy!
This place is a total ripoff. It really is a shame since I came with expectations of decent service. There was a sign that said 3.50$ for 1/4 of a pound. I didnt even get 1/4 a pound and they charged me almost 7$.They have a good variety of candy but thats all they have going for it.
Great selections and very fresh product
Lots of old school candy that will bring back memories. Great PEZ inventory!
If you enjoy fudge. This is your place.
Over priced and the cashier was rude. Would not go back or recommend.
Total rip off! Sign marked 6.49 for half a pound to which was on the scale exactly. I also picked up a bag marked .99cents. Woman tells me total is 9.69 when my receipt was printed the total was 10.69. Was totally ripped off. I asked why different price than what she said before she ran my card and told me it was tax. Im not stupid. Way overpriced! Never going back
This is such a rip off. I know the lady charge me to much. We had a couple of separate bags and she rang one up twice. I asked her for the receipt and she would only give my the credit card receipt. Plus when we got home my mom had bought butter mints for her and I, they word so hard and had a weird greasy taste. Never again will we go there. I do not like dishonest people. If I could give them no stars I would.
The lady sitting at the register was not wearing gloves when she was packaging candy. This is a food violation will I be buying anything from there
Came here for some taffy finding out they close at six it was fifteen minutes before closing as we are walking up to the door they close the store immediately which I think is ridiculous I guess they dont want any business. It was a busy weekend and its odd how they close early been to many other candy stores that close at nine at the latest so I wouldnt recommend this candy store they obviously wont appreciate any business dont know how they do a good business here.
I didnt know tarpon springs was home of the thieves guild. They charged me 13$ for some weird tasting liquorice. I feel violated, this should have been gold plated for the price.
Staff was very rude and everything was way over priced
Candy Barrel isnt to expensive and has a huge variety of candy from fudge, to mints, to gummy bears. Its totally worth it here and I recommend treating yourself for a treat here.
Unique variety of candy, but thats about it...
A little pricey but you will find your candynfix
RIP OFF never going to this place again charged $6 for like three things when the sign said 3.50 a quarter pound
Rip off! Way over priced.
Another vacation staple
Extremely expensive
Great
