This is the third time that I have purchased from Duncan Stone and the first 2 times were great but this time was disappointing. We added a lower level to our kitchen island so we ordered a piece of granite for it. While I DO totally understand that the stones are natural products and can vary in color, they should be in the same color family. My original pieces if gray with bluish flex in it and the new piece is brown. Even if the color is a different shade, it should still be in the same color family. They said it is lighting, but I turned off the lights and took a picture straight down and you can see the color difference. They said they would send someone to look at it because I am less than 10 minutes from them and then they called back and said there is nothing they can do. What upset me even more is while I was on the phone with the person telling me that they couldnt do anything, I heard them laughing in the background about me not being happy and how it is a natural product. You would think with a repeat customer who was about to buy more, they would have the common courtesy to come and look at it. Again, I AM realistic and knew it would be different BUT not a totally different color. We are getting ready to do the rest of our countertops but unfortunately we will not be using this company.
Zero pride, zero work ethic. Another company paid to not do their job, must be nice. If you have any movement or a pattern in your stone, then I would not recommend this company. We had 3 slabs to use for our kitchen, they somehow forgot to use one of them, slab #8 is still in their parking lot. Our kitchen is a hodge podge mess of random colors and patterns, (see photo). The owner agreed that some pieces needed to be replaced, because it looked so bad. He offered to band aid the project be chopping up the 3rd slab to try and make things look better, I said no. We are now saving up money again, to have a professional company come rip this mess out and install new counters properly. If you use this company, I would not give them a deposit, that way they can just take their horrible workmanship with them and you can hire a professional. We are out thousands of dollars and stuck with this mess until we can get it redone. Couple more things, the backsplash height was supposed to be 3, they cant even cut that correctly, it ranges from almost 2-7/8 to 3-1/8, (see photo). The sink is mounted crooked and held up with some pieces of plywood, not a sink install kit, (see photo). Then the lady in the office got mad at us, because she and no one else in the company could do their job correctly. I would feel horrible and be embarrassed if I did this kind of work at someones house. If you care about what your kitchen looks like, then stay away from this company, and find a professional company that still takes pride in their work.
Not a good experience. I can only speak to their service and not installation as we never made it that far. Did not listen at all to what I told them about the project at the initial consultation. I moved forward with the on site inspection and estimate hoping that it was an isolated incident. I just received the estimate (late) and there are 2 problems. #1 is included the purchase of a sink, which I made crystal clear that I was reusing my sink at the initial consultation and the person who did the estimate. #2 The person who did my estimate, was very courteous and nice, was going to give me two options for scope of work. We had a very long conversation about what I actually needed and he sketched out two options. Of course I only received the larger project estimate. I would not recommend.
They came out and measured but never sent me an estimate. I called and left voicemail but they never called me back.
The installers arrived on time as per the schedule. No backsplash and no window sill on the truck. Jake Immediately called the office and set the ball in motion. The sink did not fit so off to the warehouse to pick up missing materials and another sinkAs luck would have it a third sink was needed. Job was completed and looks beautiful. No complaining a very professional crew
Staff is friendly and informative. No high-pressure sales. Wonderful selection of granite and quartz
Both the sells lady at the store and install guys were great. Better pricing than the box store. Highly recommend.
Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Lots of selection. Good pricing.
Many many choices...localy family owned and operated
Good quality.
After being very pleased with the granite installation in my kitchen, I called them back to do my master bath. It is absolutely gorgeous. Mel helped me pick out a beautiful product and the guys did a great job with installation. They always do neat work and clean up after themselves. I highly recommend Duncan Stone.
Knowledgeable and very helpful
Great people great prices. Very helpful and knowledgeable.
Great prices for quality work! Priced to compete.
Cant find anything to complain about! Helpful and knowledgeable, fine workmanship and quality products. A win win..
Amazing service, even better pricing! Professional, friendly service from everyone we worked with at Duncan Stone. Were very grateful to have found them. Thank you Larry, Mel, C.J. & Dustin!!
Just had a beautiful new quartz counter top installed in our home, by Duncan Stone! They were very efficient & got it done right away. I absolutely LOVED the way it turned out! Great customer service, wonderful quality, & an excellent price. Highly recommend them.
Finally getting around to writing this review. Duncan Stone was wonderful! I went and picked the granite i wanted on the Wednesday before Hurricane Irma was scheduled to hit. They scheduled the measurement for Friday and even though most people were preparing for the storm they came out did the measurement and delivered and installed as scheduled. The installation crew were very professional and as has been said in other reviews counter tops are seamless. We have had so many compliments about our granite and I would without hesitation recommend Duncan Stone.
We used Duncan to install our kitchen countertops and they did a fabulous job. There was a problem with the sink faucet spray head and they made sure the company of the faucet sent someone out ASAP which only took a day or two.Thank you Mike, Ty and Lisa for making our purchase a pleasant experience.BTW the price was reasonable.
Recently hired Duncan Stone to install granite in kitchen. It was a great experience all around. Knowledgeable staff. Fair price and installed as scheduled. Definitely a 5 Star company.
Went there on a Sunday when they were closed. Picked out the granite for our kitchen. Later in the week went into the office with rough measurements and a diagram. Was quoted a price and we agreed to it. One visit from them to do exact measurements and then they came out and installed it today. The install crew are great and paid great attention to the details. They hauled off the old counters and sink and once that was done the lead installer Larry sat down with us and went over care and maintenance of the granite and the sink. Only then, after making sure we had no concerns or questions did they give us an invoice to pay them. Great business practices and service. Highly recommend!! Thanks for the great job!!!
Duncan Stone came highly recommended to us, several times over, and we had them do the granite countertops in our kitchen. We were absolutely delighted with our dealings with the company and with their work. It is first class! We absolutely love our new kitchen and have already recommended them to others. The plumbing, electrical work and alterations required were all included in the cost.
I wont go into great detail because our situation was unique, but we just purchased this home and encountered a problem when installing a new gas stove into the opening between two granite countertops. We called Duncan Stone for help. This was not in the realm of what they normally do, but not only did Eric respond immediately, he resolved the issue to our complete satisfaction. Based on this experience, I give them 5 stars and highly recommend them. Thanks, Duncan Stone!
Very careless installation of granite counter tops. Tore our wall paper in 3 places, did not fit counter to wall (caulked up discrepancies), left mess in house and driveway where they cut tops.
This review is not of the quality of their cabinets, etc. I never got that far with them. Some of the worst customer service I have experienced, so I never went past that point. My neighbor used them and likes the work that they did. Poor and rude customer service is a deal breaker for me.
Excellent selection of stone, great service, and installation by experienced staff went smoothly within the time frame promised. Good pricing. We will use again for future projects.
Very knowledgeable about the differences in stone. Not pushy. Very reasonably priced.
Great job. No seams seen. Crew was very nice and professional. No mess left! Thank you.
We had Duncan Stone cut down our bar & install Quartzite, we are so pleased with the results .Looks Fabulous!
First class. Delivered on time, and installer Eric was excellent. For countertops with sinks, their price includes the plumbing hookup: Thats at least $100 extra at other places.
Ty Duncan came to our house did a mock up, cut our stone and did the installation. Fantastic workmanship. Perfect job and great service!
Best place ever! Great people, quality work!
Ask around. You will understand
Great guy fair price good quality 👍
Granite looks good. terrible communication and customer service. the installation was done very poorly and we were told that the granite would be one piece and that the cuts would line up once it was installed. this was not the case and there are 3 pieces across the sink. we requested someone explain why this was the case and were told that we would receive a call back, never did.when i called him 2 months after the installation he requested payment to which i told him i would be at the house all day over the next 2 days with a check and if he simply sent someone to look at and explain the poor installation that I would give a check. no one ever showed up and then i received an email after the second day saying, call me Monday, we need to make a time to come over and get the granite and sink back.i sent a check and they cashed it then when i offered another complaint about the poor work i was given a rude attitude and insulted, saying that my cabinet installation was garbage and that the cabinets were not much better. insulting the customer... always goodbest advice is to pay more for someone who is more professional so that the job gets done correctly the first time, and any issues are resolved professionally
Never had the granite installed. They did give our deposit back. Poor communication and unprofessional. Showed up late for the measurement, couldn’t find paperwork and did not like him looking in our refrigerator.
I loved my new granite counter top and felt they did a great job. But, dont expect them to come back and do a small job. I didnt like my new sink and wanted them to put in another one. They said no problem and that they would call us back in 2 - 3 weeks. Well, a few months went by and they didnt call. I called them back and reminded them. They said no problem and that they didnt forget and would call us back. Well that call never came. About a year later we were in the area of Duncan Stone and stopped by. They remembered us and looked up the paperwork and said they still would do the job. Anyway, here we are another 6 months later and they never called. If they really didnt want to do small jobs, then they should have said so. Instead, they blew us off three times. I wouldnt do business with them again.
Good people
Cool
Great service, and products
