Initially I was not happy with my experience. I was contacted by their online team explaining the bike I was looking for was in stock and in the used bike warehouse. After looking and looking unsuccessfully we finally called the sales department only to find out that the bike was actually sold 2 days prior and the inventory was not updated. I drove 1.5 hours to get to the dealership. I complained a bit and was spoken to by the sales manager. He promised to make things right, which he did. I ended up getting a killer deal on a 2021 bike and Jeremy did a great job pointing me in the right direction. I would recommend this dealership to others. The only issue currently is everything is being bought up so fast their inventory is becoming limited
I just finished the basic rider safety course here and it was a great experience. Gregg and Sue were excellent coaches throughout the week. John was also really passionate about riding when he came by and spoke to us. I cant recommend the course highly enough. The coaches have a wealth of knowledge and skill they want to pass on to the students. Not only was it incredibly informative but it was also really fun. Dont be hesitant about spending the time and money for the course, it is worth it.
I recently found myself in a bad spot after purchasing a Used Bike. It was one of those rare occasions where it all went bad on the bike….but I contacted the dealership, I met with Ralph and Ashley from the sales team, and those two absolutely killed it, helping get me out from under that mistake, and onto a new SGS that I can actually ride for a long long time. I usually don’t take time to write these, but Ralph and Ashley deserve the mention/credit. If you go to Motown Harley, looks these two up…..you won’t be disappointed. Thank you guys!!!
Motown Harley is my new favorite shop. In a recent visit to the service department I was pleasantly surprised by a service advisor named Cameron. He was kind, considerate and knowledgeable. With Harley no longer providing 2 fobs with a new bike purchase I had to buy a backup fob and get it programed to my bike. I expected to be charged at least $50 for this and wouldnt have been shocked if it was more than that. To my surprise Cameron programmed it completely free in 5 minutes! This was a great gesture that definitely won me over! Thanks again Cam!
I have bought many new cars in my lifetime, but never a new bike. Motown Harley Davidson made this buying experience so hassle and pressure free I cant even being to explain it. The whole experience is truly something else. Shout out to Tracey my sales lady!!! Tell you I sent ya when you got to purchase your next bike she is awesome!
Took the new rider course last week. If your a new rider like myself and want to learn the proper way to ride this course is second to none. Sean, Shannon, and John have endless knowledge and they do a good of making everything understandable for a dope like myself. Would definitely recommend the course.
Ralph at Motown Harley Davidson sold me a 2021 Street Glide today. The entire experience was AWESOME from beginning to end. Ralph was knowledgeable about the various bikes I looked at and he didnt pressure me to buy He was very professional and personable and made sure the entire process went smoothly. Cam in the service dept. was a huge help also. He removed the things from my trade-in that I was keeping and talked me through the various service packages they offer. Had an amazing and beyond helpful experience with Ken P in parts this Friday. We ran into an unfortunate situation with a non OEM backrest not fitting onto our new Street Glide. We didn’t figure this out till about 6:30 and the dealership closes at 7. Ken took the phone call to order a new one. He was knowledgeable, kind, and understanding. To top it off, Ken went out of his way to be accommodating and meet us with the backrest that I paid for so we could ride this weekend. He helped fit it to the bike and brought his own tools to do so. When I tell you I’m beyond grateful for Ken, I can’t express it enough. We are from the Toledo Area and Motown and their team give the BEST customer service! We will definitely be back for sales, service, and parts.
Purchased a new roadglide limited from Tim at motown Harley Davidson!! A big shout out to Ken in parts, Fitty in service and Steve for assisting in making sure everything was handled on a very busy day. Every employee that I dealt with from sales to motorclothes was freindly and respectful. Cant wait to take delivery of my newly built custom harley-davidson!! The only thing left to review from a very picky customer has is the results of the bike which I will review hopefully within the next 3 to 6 weeks due to the size of the build. I loved this Detroit location. Some of the city specific shirts at this location have the Detroit skyline on the back. Staff I met was very helpful and friendly. My coworkers and I even were convinced to came back for the Thursday ladies night event. We received coupons, a mug, and coaster, all bundled together in a drawstring bag; oh and did I mention we got beer too?
What a great Harley Davidson location. I was recently on a ride (Wounded America Run) that ended with food and festivities there. I had a problem with my helmet on the ride, so I went inside seeking help. I met a young man named Ryan near the helmets and T-shirts. He couldn’t have been more helpful. The store was full of people because of the festivities but he never made me feel rushed or unimportant. He took my helmet and said, let me see what I can do.-next thing I know he returned and it was fixed and he said you are all set, just needed two screws and we had a couple laying around.Customer service is so more important these days than ever and I am so impressed by him and the entire staff that day. Bought a 2021 fat bob 114 and took the riders course here......the whole experience was great....Im really impressed with the coach Gregg here, talk about someone whos passionate and dedicated to safety of new riders. Hands down the best buying experience Ive had in my lifetime. Id call it a dazzling spectacle that far exceeded any expectation I had walking into the dealership. I intended to buy used and as I worked with team, reviewing all options, perks and benefits of a new Street Glide, I ended the visit with a new bike. I drove an hour to get to Motown, past two other H-D dealers and it was well worth the effort. They delivered the new bike direct to my door in less time than expected and while the bike is fantastic, their service, attention to detail and follow up have been outstanding. Id say theyve set the bar extremely high for future purchases of any type, not just a new motorcycle.
My salesperson Heather was amazing. She spent so much time with me going through every bike they had. She and the entire staff made sure I was confident and comfortable in my buying experience. As a new rider I really appreciated the entire staff sharing their opinions and experiences with me. Everyone made me feel like I could come back for anything, anytime.

Today I was riding down Van Born with a friend when I hit a pot hole. Instantly caught a flat & bent the rim. I caught road side assistance. Over a hour and half went by still no came to pick me up or was on there way. I call my Salesman Matt Mull at Motown Harley. He said where you at bro? We don’t do this for anybody let me find my coworker Scott. They literally got to me & my bike in less than 15 minutes. They haul my bike to Motown dealership on a hot Sunday afternoon. Matt left the sales floor to help me say a lot and shows how great of a person he!! I’m thankful for Scott also. I would requirement EVERYONE to buy a Harley from Matt. He went above & beyond for me!! He gets 10 trillion stars from me!! I’m so thankful!! I appreciate you Matt, Scott, Lauren!! First class all the way!! 🤙🏽

Asked for the price of a bike they had listed on Cycle Trader. They wouldnt tell me so I forgot about it. About 2 weeks later the same bike listing had a what seemed reasonable price on the same Cycle Trader listing. I called & said I wanted to drop by & see it. They needed to know what time I would be stopping by & if something changed on my end It would decent of me to call to let them know Im not going to make so as not to waste the time of their staff. I got there & they didnt even have the bike in their inventory. A classic bait & switch move. And they still list that bike. Shady dealings. Ive vowed to never buy so much as a quart of oil from these charlatans. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Bought my 03 ultra from here for 7400 dollars, in exactly 1 year after adding around 5k in upgrades and thats on the light end this bike is fully stocked with everything... So I set up an appointment to sell it back due to starting my small business and needing cash instead of risking a credit card. So after 1 hour of being harassed by sales people and talking to a different lady that I was supposed to see... she come and says this was them not me... They offer me 3 grand 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 ya Ill never burden this place EVER again. 0 stars for this garbage facility
Getting my motorcycle endorsement with HDs 4 day training class was a great experience honestly. It seemed kind of pricey to me at first but, its worth it. Yeah I grew up on dirt bikes, its been years though, and their team got me trained up like an experienced rider. Im very confident with my bike, and what I learned from them.

First I would like to say that the employees in the Service department are phenomenal, but unfortunately the mechanic working on our bike does not have the same standards. It is now September and we have not be able to ride all summer. We retrieved the bike after being in the shop for 35 days, only to have to take it back the next day. Before taking the bike the first time we told said mechanic how he stripped the bolts on the rocker cover. Oil sprays and loud clanking! Need I say more! We have no idea how long it will take this time, but Im guessing the season will be over by then. Very disappointed!
The worst buying experience I have ever. Or should I say almost buying? I worked out a deal over calls and text to trade in my damaged bike, add in my current loan, and put cash down to have a specific monthly payment on a Street Glide. After I put together the down payment I verified the details of the agreement with the salesman, I took the day off of work, drove 2 1/2 hours to find out nothing he said was true. After waiting for 2 hours in store I found out he changed the deal to just the new bike with the cash down and DOUBLE the monthly payment I was looking for. He removed my trade-in and my current loan from the deal and to top it off he tried to offer a cheaper bike. What was this? Bait and switch? Or just a bunch of smoke and mirrors to get me in and hope that I would accept whatever offer was put in front of me? Absolutely shady!.
Our sales person Bundy was the nicest and most helpful sales person I have had in all my past experiences. He took his time in every aspect. He was not pressuring and treated us like he knew us forever. It was very calm and relaxed, the entire process. There was also Murl and David that did everything possible to make this process amazing. Murl and Bundy worked equally hard to help me and worked very well together. The end process with David make everything perfect. I couldn’t ask for a better group of people, thanks Motown for having such great employees.

Awful experience with this dealership. Scheduled an appointment to see a used bike, rented a trailer and drove 2 hours fully intending to purchase the bike. Salesman immediately takes me over and then tries to push buying a new bike on me. Had to ask several times if the bike I came to see is still there, salesman had no idea. Eventually walked me back to the warehouse and there it was in the back. Said I wanted to buy it, we go back up front and start the process. Their accounting person comes over with a comparison sheet to show me the numbers between a new and used bike trying to get me to buy new again. The price they have on the comparison form for the bike I came to see is almost $5000 more than it’s listed on their website. After “adjusting” the price of the used bikes price the monthly payment is still extremely high which makes the new bike look more appealing. I eventually got fed up with their pushiness and left without purchasing a bike. After getting home and looking over the numbers I see they added almost $3500 in added fees to the price of the used bike I came to buy making the monthly price outrageous. This is one of the most shady and unpleasant sales experiences I’ve ever dealt with and I will never return to this dealership.

The riding academy was great there are great coaches there Sue and Greg and John are phenomenal coaches and they are very passionate about motorcycle safety hands-down never rust but very persistent on you learning techniques to save your life while riding on the motorcycle I want to say thank you to coach Sue coach Greg coach John you guys are phenomenal coaches. I will definitely recommend you to any new or beginning riders.

I want to say this dealership makes you feel like family. I have been going here for 3 years now and out of all the dealerships I have been to, Motown makes you feel like youre always wanted and welcomed. Eddie, is 100% my sales guy he has lost out on money for himself to do whats right. Honest and knowledgeable. Nick and Ken have taken time to help me understand what I am doing to my bike and taken the time to find the parts to make me happy. Anne and the whole entire motorclothes crew doesnt stalk you while you shop. They are also on top of their game in knowledge about what you need while youre riding to be safe and comfortable.

Awesome experience. Dont let the few negative comments deter you from buying from them. Obviously, be an informed buyer, dont blindly sign documents, and if you see a deal that is to good to be true know that it is. Be prepared to negotiate your best deal.. But, thats true of all things. Alyssa was great to deal with too.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My brother and I were in town visiting a friend and wanted headsets, the parts guy offered to help us. He looked up my bike, told me what I needed to get and said this would work perfect and I didnt even need to look elsewhere (had said we were shopping around). Got home (3 hours away) and installed it, took my bike to the local harley dealership twice and paid for them to flash ECU and try to make it work. Turns out he sold me the wrong one and failed to ever mention that there was a 14 day exchange policy, so I got screwed out of my money since I wasnt able to make it in time. When I finally made it in they did not even show a little bit of sympathy about screwing me out of all that money based off of their experts opinion on what we needed.
Sales team was great but every single time I have tried to call & get ahold of parts I get put on hold for several minutes & then they just hangup. Dont waste your time calling, just show up.
I cant say enough great things about Steve and the rest of the parts team at Motown Harley-Davidson. The guys truly care and it shows! They have expedited delivery of parts for me in the past to help get my bike on the road as soon as possible. If they didnt have the parts in stock they would find them at other dealers! I would not consider going anywhere else for Parts and you shouldnt either.
They will up scale you and add things In without asking. Will not return your phone calls. Read ALL fine prints. I would recommend a different Harley store before this one. Unfortunately I had to get call corporate to get somewhere.

Changes the new GM has put in place really show. They listen and try to make the best fit possible. No pressure. Honest answers. Recommend seeing Alyssa C. or Scott for sales. All were extremely friendly and welcoming. Bikes are also very cool.

I took the Beginners Motorcycle Safety Course to get my endorsement through Motown Harley & I would 100000% recommend anyone who is interested in getting their endorsement also, to go through them.Not only do they make the whole process super easy and stress-free but also the instructors are wonderful and extremely helpful. I had the rare and awesome opportunity of working with multiple instructors because of how large my class was. Gregg was the primary coach and he made the class a great experience for everyone. As well as Will and Shawn who personally helped me overcome some internal fears when it came to riding. I also got to work with Phil, who is a great coach that greatly helped throughout the class.Overall, the education you get when taking the MSC through Motown greatly outweighs the education you would get if you went through a college or online course.As a side note, these courses are meant to emphasize safety and as a result, produce safe riders. That being said, the coaches will always help individuals with any questions or concerns. But theyre not going to hold your hand through every ride. Theyre going to push you and its extremely important.TLDR; TAKE ANY AND ALL CLASSES WITH MOTOWN HARLEY. Theyre incredible!!!
Great place filled with great people. Helped me get the bike I both wanted and could properly afford. I was never pressured or belittled like under the previous ownership as Bobs. Definitely a great place to get stuff and hang out as well.
Typical story. Prior to actually buying the bike, with cash mind you, these guys were bending over backwards to get my money. After the bike is bought and after numerous issues, crickets. No answers to my questions, appointments screwed up, customer service is non existent, multiple people telling things that do not match with one another. Ive given this dealer more than a fair share of tries but Im taking my business else where. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

I ended up purchasing a 2021 Fat Boy. I am having some parts added to customize it a bit. Harley makes works of art.

Worst experience buying anything ever! I really regret buying my bike from them. Although I got the bike I wanted the customer service was horrible! Went there on August 5 wanting to buy a bike and got sat in a corner for 2 hours and got nothing done. Salesman Steve..(1 salesman) what a joke. Kept making excuses he was too busy...so I left. They blew my phone up the next day offering to make up for it and regrettably i went back because they had the bike I wanted.Made the deal the next day but once the sale was made I was told they had to do a certified inspection because the bike was used. Ok, no problem . 2 days later no mechanic has been assigned to it. Should be ready in a day or 2. 3 days after that still not touched. No phone calls or updates. Finally had to talk to a manager and took an hour on hold to talk to Ashley who was great to deal with and tried to make it right. She said it would be ready that evening with a full tank of gas and ready to go.Got there to pick up my bike and had about 70 more miles on my bike since I bought it and a quarter tank of gas and still had oil all over the crankcase from the oil change!...unbelievable! I dont recommend this place to anyone and definitely dont buy a bike from Steve. He is very shady. I fully regret buying my bike from this place!

Harley-Davidson in for a simple swap e .c. m .What a nightmare! this is my (fourth) return with high idling! Price ($1,500 )very unsatisfactory the motorcycle perform perfect before the swap problems, problems the service desk notifies me I need an inner primary cost $700 primary the bolts are all stripped what a joke! & the top it off double charged me for an oil filter $250 their mistake Motown Harley-Davidson, has some serious problems with communication be between the front desk and the mechanics. This is Sunday the 8th and I wont get my motorcycle probably Monday or sometime next week, this is been going on for a month ...idling 2500 RPMs horrible almost caused me an accident knowing that it was high idling and released it noting that it was roadworthy and safe not once but three times just a simple performance dyno setting my computer.Could have damage my motor

After being a little stunned about the prices of the new bikes at another dealership I went to Motown Harley Davidson to see if I can get a better deal. My 2019 street glide was stolen so obviously I was anxious to get another bike. After talking with my sales person Alyssa and looking at a few bikes I ended up buying a 2021 street glide special. The prices were amazing and they really worked with me on every aspect of the deal. I felt like I was a VIP. When looking at parts to upgrade a couple things including lowering the bike I was given other options that were cheaper for me. I was expecting them to upsell me but they did not. Every person I dealt with at this dealership was friendly and very knowledgeable. Special thanks to Alyssa, Dustin, Ashley, Fiddy, Dave and everyone in the parts department. I’m very satisfied with my purchase and will be doing business with this dealership in the future. I highly recommend Motown Harley Davidson!!!!

Ive known multiple people who have purchased from this location. every one has had problems. they seem super genuine but its obvious its all about money. They give out warranties that cannot even be used which are over priced anyway. Then will not fix the problem. On top of that, they try to threaten those who talk bad about them. Completely unprofessional!!!! I personally have been looking to purchase a bike and so was my boyfriend but I will certainly not go back there. With the weather breaking, I will CERTAINLY be telling everyone I know NOT to buy anything from there!! and I know MANY who ride!!!

I just went in to look at bikes because either just recently passed my motorcycle safety course and I wanted to find a bike that felt comfortableand was not super heavy for me. Ralph was the salesman that first greeted us when we walked in and ended up helping us look at bikes. He showed me many Iron 883 but I fell in love with this 2018 XL883L they just got in because it was low and the color was amazing on the tank and fender. Ashley Estrada was the one who got the price to a spot that made me say alright this is it we are getting this, she did everythingshe could to help me get this bike! We started the transaction on Saturday 8/29 and came back Sunday 8/30 to finish the transaction. My bike was ready for pick up and the finance man Eric walked us through all the details of the paperwork. They did such an amazing job and all took care of my daughter while we waited. Anne also was a huge help in the clothing department. She fit me for my helmet and I wore it today with no issues!!!! My helmet was such a good fit. I have gotten so many compliments on my bike and people just stop and stare!!!Thank you so much from this team of members who helped me make a life time dream of mine come true. I own my own Harley and I am in love with my bike!!!
I just wanted to take a minute to rate my experience at MotorCity Harley Davison. More specifically I would like to give high praise to my Fit Specialist, Dawson Parfay and Sales Manager, Laura Mahoney. Not only was Dawson extremely genuine and a gentleman to boot, but also a true professional. He took the time to listen to my needs and budget, and had several quick recommendations. When I addressed any concerns, he was quick to address them wit no hesitation. Thank you Dawson!I would also like to thank Assistant Manager, Laura Mahoney. I did not walk into to the Harley dealership intent on buying a new Motorcycle, but the more time I spent talking with Laura, the more inclined I became. From the moment she reached out to assist, she was responsive, attentive to my needs, and showed genuine interest in best accommodating me. She was extremely knowledgeable, not only about the bike itself, but in walking me through the entire process. It could not have been more seamless and she made the process very pleasant and gave me the best deal I could have asked for. I enjoy coming into this dealership! Everyone is great and make you feel welcome! I especially enjoy coming in to see Heather! She is such a pleasant young lady who goes out of her way to help! Always has a smile and can turn a bad day into a great day! Over all the staff is amazing! Amanda, Ashley and Ann are just terrific! I recommend Motown to anyone who loves bikes and great hospitality!
A big shout out to Tim Earl in parts. With all the shortages from the pandemic, Tim managed to find the parts we needed. Always helpful friendly service.
Would not recommend buying a Harley from them, they are very pushy and not clear on their info. Also trying to sell bike way over MSRP and always tacks on extra chares other dealers would not.
I would give 0 if i could. servicing a Harley here has been an absolute NIGHTMARE. my fiancé bought his first harley 4/22/2021 from here a BRAND NEW 2021street glide that has been in the shop 2 times now for an issue that shouldn’t have even been happening to begin with. the first time we got it back the bag was badly scratched all the way down to the metal they knew it was there because you could tell someone was touching it & decided not to tell us on pick up then proceeded to tell me they would only fix it if it was them. not to mention it came back leaking oil from a new spot after they had ‘went trough and redone’ what was causing the leak so they have now had it 2 out of the 4 weeks we’ve owned it & show 0 empathy or sorriness for the issue. EVERYONE ever spoken to has been very rude & does not care about their customers.
This dealership is all talk they will bait and switch to attempt to screw you as much as they can. I will never recommend Motown Harley and advise you to stay away seriously go way out of youre way to buy a bike from someone else. I believe motorcity is the same owner.
Had an awesome time...very good and friendly people plus out sales guy Steve was amazing and his help make things easier.
They sold my husband a bike and told him if he traded his bike they would take $5000 on trade in value when he gets home he looks at the paperwork and they only gave him $1250 for it! When it was brought to their attention it was after papers were signed they said he should have noticed it first and eddies word at face value didn’t count and they thought a $500 gift card was a suitable way to fix the problem so not only does the bike have rattling we ate all the money for our old bike! I will never buy anything from them again and will always turn people away! It’s a shame when you can’t trust a persons word anymore!
Great customer service and repairs. We pass by a few Harley- Davidson shops to get to this one. My husband found the bike he wanted, in the color and finish he wanted. Have to get there early on the weekend though as they tend to be a bit busy.
