I tried this bakery for the first time yesterday. Based on a plain croissant and a slice of Orange Blossom Cake Id say its a good place, not great. They have lots of iced layer cakes, both whole and individual slices. The cake had great flavor (orange, not orange blossom) without being too strong. I couldnt taste any butter in the cake or icing though there was real whipped cream between the layers. If Im going to eat unhealthy, I want all the good stuff. The buttery croissant was quite excellent, among the best Ive ever had. Soft but also nicely crispy on the outside. But way overpriced at $4.25. Hmmm. Both things were freshly made and I wouldnt say Id be suffering if I ate them again. But its not five star, IMHO. The premises were very clean. Tons of free parking outside. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Comfy chairs inside for leisurely eating, also shaded tables outside.

I would not recommend getting a custom cake from them. It sucks because I actually liked this bakery. I reached out after receiving my cake. When I was getting my cake I said out loud that I absolutely hated it. They just stared at me and said nothing about it. I decided to reach out via email to let them know since they handle the custom orders directly. No response. Its not like I wanted anything out of it. I would not trust them to make a custom cake. I wanted a unicorn cake with mint green and lilac and this is what I got. I thought it was well made appearance wise despite the colors. The 2 out of the 3 layers inside were dry and stale tasting, which sucks

Havent had a good cup of coffee from them since the coffee bean moved to batter up sadly. Also the frequency card is a real joke. You have to spend like 160$ to get one free coffee. Why bother? We also lost all our points when they moved. Also the ambiance is totally lost. Why why? Two stars because they have good baked goods but the combination is poor.

Ordered the pink champagne cake for my mom’s 60th birthday, and it turned out absolutely incredible! They colored everything perfectly to the theme we had and it was soooooo delicious. AND they delivered it, so make it 6 stars!

I would give them 5 stars if not for the 30% price increase they just imposed. 30% makes it just too expensive. We used to go often and now we have to limit to once a month. I’m all for businesses increasing prices to flow with the economy, this was more than that.

Thanks to Chefs Shay Alanazi and Claudia Madrigal Batter Up Bakery (BUB) is definitely a wondrous addition for all sweet tooth fans out there.The bakery is designed well. Seating areas are comfortable with the tables and chairs nicely spread out for privacy. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable. Its also quiet enough to study, have a meeting, do some work or simply hang out and enjoy the wide array of pastries, cupcakes, specialty cakes, pies and hot or cold beverages.Whats my go to dessert at the BUB? The cronut. The chefs take on this incredible pastry is beyond compare. The croissant- doughnut pastry is baked to perfection with a creamy, heavenly custard cream filling, topped with a fresh blueberry glaze.Cronuts are available in variety of seasonal fruits and flavors. Get there early for they sell out fast. They are that delicious!

They have the best blueberry scones and there strawberry cake is delicious. I’ve tried scones from a lot of different bakeries but there’s is the best. The employees that work there are always smiling and provide great customer service. This is my go to bakery. Keep up the great work and desserts!

I went here to get a cake for my daughters first birthday. I gave them a general idea of what I was looking for and left the rest to their imagination. I was so amazed and so impressed with the cake. It was absolutely beautiful! If you want a high quality cake, look no further. Thank you Batter Up for making my daughter such a beautiful unicorn cake! We loved it!

This place is fantastic, from the moment you walk in you are tempted by the delicious looking confections. I have been in for a breakfast scone, a mid day treat as well as an evening dessert with a pretty good cup of coffee as well. Recommend the scones, the macarons and any cake youll love this place

I asked for a unicorn cake for my wife and boy did they deliver! She was very happy with her birthday cake. Not only did it look fabulous but it tasted fabulous as well. They did a strawberry shortcake type for the guts of the unicorn. The red added some realism as my wife murdered it with a knife.

We ordered a simple cake for a birthday and it was delicious. While we waited, we decided to try their ham and cheese croissants and a coffee. The croissant was amazing, the coffee was a bit too sweet for me. Front staff was very polite and friendly. I saw many other desserts Id like to try. Will return

I am not happy to be writing a not so positive review. I have been going to Batter Up for over a year now. The pastries have always been tasty. I noticed something had change my last visit in. It had changed hands and they’ve added a coffee shop portion.I ordered a specially cake for my husbands 60th birthday. I ordered it May weeks before the event. I met with one of the girls, she was polite and professional. She drew a picture of what I wanted.The weeks before the party, I tried to call and confirm the order, as I was doing with all the vendors. I could not get through and became concerned. I ran in to check on the order. I ended up talking to the “manager”. I was a bit concerned as the “manager” crossed out the previous direction for the cake, which were very well done and rewrote them. I figured she’s the “manager”, she must know what the designers need to see.I came in to pick up my cake and the design, a very simple banding was not what we’d discussed. I was caught off guard and told the worker oh dear, this isn’t right. She said, “let me get the manager”. The manager came out with my cake. I said, I’m confused, the banding it not what we discussed”. It was upside down, I was mimicking the invitation, which she had and we used to discuss the design. One piece I had paid to have fondant was icing piping. Fondant is more expensive.She walk away and said something I didn’t hear. I just stood there as she was at the cash register. She asked if I was coming over to her. I was still confused. I asked what we were doing. She said, she was giving me a refund. I don’t need a refund, I needed the cake I ordered. What was I doing to do the day before.She never apologized or acknowledge the error and was just going to give my money back. She was so very unprofessional and down right rude. I was caught off guard by her response. I really think I can find another baker to deal with as the product is good but, the staff is not worth working with if this is the new staffing.I asked her name and she walked away from me. Saying nothing more. It was surreal.

Found this place by accident. Full of delicious sweet treats. I had a mini banana cream pie and a cinnamon roll. My husband also got an iced latte which was good. Place was clean and huge inside. I recommend a visit.

My mom and i were on our way home from san diego and stopped in for a snack. OMG!!! The service was excellent and friendly. The cheese danish and the almond croissant was soooo delicious!!!!!! Would highly recommend this place to everyone!!!!! Loved it. And coffee was great too!!!!

The cupcake I bought was smaller than a store bought cupcake, yet very pricey. The Lemon Bomb Venter was delicious, however the white chocolate outside had hints of flavor from other items in case. The Tahitian Vanilla coffee was delicious.

2 days before my mothers birthday she quickly told me about what she wanted for her birthday cake. Little did she know I had already ordered one that was nothing like it. However, my best friend ( who is a baseball player, so loved the theme of the space) and I were on the hunt to get this cake for her in a very short amount of time! We walked in and were immediately greeted by Breee! She was warm and friendly and funny so I knew we would all get along. She ensured us she would be able to get it done within the strict time of 2 days just in time for my mothers birthday! She even called the head chef Shea! The four of us spoke with Shae on the phone to make sure the cake was layered to perfection exactly how my Mom stated. Chef Shae even called me again the day before to confirm the layers and timing of cake pick up. I came in the day of my mothers birthday and it was waiting there in the fridge! I was SO PLEASED and so is my mother at the Elegance of the cake! We ate it all within an hour but were so happy with how it was decorated and exactly to her liking! Needless to say, we will be definitely coming back after this wonderful service Batter Up has given us!

I had a cake from them last year but this year all my guests had the same experience. The cake tasted like chemicals and had a vomit aftertaste. No one took more than two bites before basically throwing an entire cake in the trash. Not worth the money. What a shame :(

Me and my wife went in on Sunday April 11th, 2021. My wife has a severe allergy to wheat. She saw Gluten free cupcakes and asked the young lady behind the counter if the cupcakes were wheat free, she said she didnt know and had to ask her supervisor, she returned less than 10 seconds later and said they were wheat free. We returned home less than 10 minutes later, my wife ate the cupcake, and very quickly realized it had wheat in it. She had a severe allergic reaction. The carelessness of this place is absolutely unacceptable, my wife could have lost her life. I am handling this situation on my own, but wanted everyone to know.

Update: Staff, Thai tea, coffee, taro cheesecake still good, however last few cakes slices I have tried sadly suffered from that odd old refrigerator taste in the iceing. The cakes them selfs are still pretty good. I am just guessing they over baked and so some cakes are staying longer than they should. In the fridge/display. So with that it has gone down from 5 stars to 4. Still good but hopefully this trend doesnt continue. (Things tried that had old refrigerator taste in iceing: Nutella cake slice, Almond cake slice, and the Chocolate cookie dough cupcake.)Great thai tea, coffee and taro smoothies. Friendly, helpful and caring staff. Nice inviting environment. Great bear claws marsapan filled. Great strawberry swirl cheesecake not supper firm or too squishy. Cappuccino cake was great from its frosting to its light moist soft cake. Will be going back to try other goodies.

I asked them to make a cappuccino, in a real cup, not a paper cup😀 Unfortunately, they do not have metal spoons, only plastic forks. and in general they use a lot of disposable packaging, which is very harmful to the environment. and the fan is blowing too hard here.

Bean is there now which has my favorite latte and their salted caramel cookie is delicious.

Ordered a unicorn birthday cake for my daughter. Our first time ordering from a bakery (walmart usually) .The cake was beyond my expectations, it was bigger than I thought it would be which was great it was decorated beautifully and the cake was delicious!! I will definitely be coming back for my sons birthday this time and anytime I need a cake!

Worked at the stadium next to the amazing staff and got some strawberry shortcake and chocolate bundt cake, both very amazingly delicious :)

My 2 year old could make better cookies. They are hard, dry, and just ugly. We requested pink and white to match the birthday theme, but we got green and pink. We asked for a bow instead of a flower on each cookie, but we got blobs. We ordered 22 cookies, but we got 20 bricks.Seriously though, they are overpriced, didnt get the order right, and guests did not want to eat them. We were disappointed and do not recommend this place.

Great selection of desserts! It was nice to see all staff following current protocols to keep customers and staff safe, plus they were all super nice! We tried the croissants (freshly baked), scones (blueberry and cranberry), fruit tart, and mixed berry fruit cake. Serving portions for all were very generous! Everything was delicious, they take their time in ensuring really good quality baked goods. Will be visiting again for more treats.

I dont understand how this place has any good reviews. I had macarons, mango shooter, croissant, and strawberry cupcake which were all some of the worst Ive had. This place was a real disappointment.

I tried a chocolate cake that was recommended. OH MY GAWD!!! It was the most delicious cake I have had in a very long time. Perfect cake to frosting ratio. Cake was incredibly moist and flavor packed. Cant wait to find an excuse to buy another.

If I could give them no stars I would, I ordered a cake for my birthday a week ago. The day I was suppose to pick up my cake my order wasnt even processed or made. Never coming back here again.

I ordered 2 dozen of Macaroons for my daughters Birthday. When I went to pick them up they didn’t have my order. I brought my receipt in to show them that I had already paid for them and when I had placed the order. They ended up giving me the ones that was in the case but it wasn’t the ones I ordered or the flavor I ordered and they wasn’t fresh. Very disappointed and I don’t recommend them.

Amazingly beautiful gluten free red velvet wedding cake. This was the cake of my dreams. The service was top notch. I had no issues with putting together the design, they walked me through everything. We ordered cupcakes for the reception and they came out so great- a lot of our guests complemented them.We had a last minute change to our order, it was accommodated with no issue. Delivery of the cupcakes went off without a hitch. Pick-up of the wedding cake was a breeze. I was consulted if there were any questions. All of this was accomplished through text and email. I love this place!

We tried double chocolate cake, banana cream pie, creme brulee and eclairs. All are tasty, we are looking forward to go back and try different ones.

Ordered the Berry Cake to be delivered for my daughters birthday and was happy that they could do that for me, she was very pleased. Said the cake was very good but the fruit in the middle was frozen so just a little disappointed that I wasnt told that, otherwise A+

Just picked up two swirl strawberry cupcakes, one oreo cupcake, one German chocolate cupcake and a banana cream pie for the family. Everyone enjoyed their treat. The cupcakes are sweet and moist. The ladies that helped were very nice and friendly. I asked for a cupcake in a separate container and they put it in an upside clear drink cup with a lid. Such a great idea it made it to its destination in one piece. Definitely will be coming back.

There bakery items were really good, loved the blueberry lemon scone and their chocolate cakes. Going back for my second trip of bakery goods.

Very surprised with the service I received. I was inquiring about a wedding cake. I stood there listening to the two employees conversation about the guest they helped before me. I then was greeted and I asked to get a price quote on a wedding cake, employee told me the cake maker was tasting with another couple. She then asked me if I would like to email the cake maker. Why would I email the cake maker when I’m standing right in front of a employee. Is there only one cake maker???? I said no thank you and told her I would go somewhere else. As I was walking out I heard the two girls talking about me! Wow this is how you treat your customers. Enough said!

I came here for the first time with my family, and CHRIS MAKES THE WORLD’S BEST THAI ICED TEA, no questions asked! Aaron helped us order our sweets and he was super helpful! 5-Star customer service, food, and drinks all around! We’ll definitely be recommending anyone in the area to come out here. Looking forward to their Grand Opening in May!

Batter up Bakery is simply a lifesaver! My friend and I were organizing a baby shower for a colleague at work, and there was a miscommunication with who would order the cake. I was able to call *2 days before* the shower and order a full sheet baby shower cake. I requested decorations for a baby boy and just told them to go with their most popular flavor. At the shower, everyone raved about the cake, how moist it was, and it had a strawberry and whip cream filling that was simply divine, and not overly sweet like you find in a lot of cakes. Super adorable baby animal decorations and balloons..too cute for words. Thank you to Jess and Lisa for being so accommodating and saving our event. I will definitely be coming to you for my future pastry needs 😃

My daughter and son love to cake taste at Batter Up Bakery! SHAY brainstorms with us to come up with theee best cake for our celebrations! The oreo cake, cappuccino cake and berry cake are all TO DIE FOR!! They made this amazing Minnie Mouse cake for my daughters first birthday, they were so kind and professional even when I called to request a change they were so kind and made me feel like it wasnt a big deal, when I saw the cake I thought I was going to cry! We ordered a two tiered cake for my mom’s 70th birthday, and it was amazing! The cake was not only delicious, but beautiful as well. We ordered chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse and vanilla cake with strawberry cream. The cake was so moist and both flavors were delicious. We received many compliments on the cake and I would recommend Batter Up Bakery in a heartbeat!

We have enjoyed this bakery for years! Special occasion cakes that impress, pastries that would impress the most discerning critics, and specialty coffee that makes me feel alive! One piece of advice to anyone going for the first time...if they are in stock, BUY A CRONUT! They are incredible! I just tried one for the first time and it knocked my socks off!

This was my first time to try this place out. I must say I loved it and would come back again! They have a wide selection of pastries and drinks. The food is delicious and they have some unique items! The business setting itself is very beautiful and clean. It is also very spacious and welcoming! Customer service was top notch, genuinely nice and helpful! They also offer a military discount off your purchase that Im very grateful for!

I had these wonderful ladies make my husband (whos in Afghanistan) a birthday cake. They made it fresh on time with a cute ocean design these ladies are very talented btw and the owner was very kind made it at no charge because hes in the Military. Needless to say the cake made it to Afghanistan still moist my husband loved it he said it was the best cake and hes ever had. I thank the owner and her crew with all my heart for a great job.

I would give this place no stars if I could. The cheesecake had a processed taste, the macarons were hard as rocks. DONT GO HERE

Ordered my birthday cake from the Murrieta location and it was amazing. The baker we met with was amazing and so sweet. She got everything perfect. That was the best cake any of my guests or myself had ever tasted. Checked out the Temecula location and everything was just as good. Amazing bagels as well!

Called and left a message...no response. Called back a few days later and spoke to someone about coming in with pictures for a birthday cake. Employee said it was fine. Went to shop few hours later and they were closed early, shop hours indicates they were open until 5pm and its only 1pm. Employee failed to mention ANYTHING about closing early. Thanks for nothing.

Oh my, a generous slice of German chocolate cake was the best ever! The cake was so moist, it melts in your mouth. The icing was light and the german chocolate filling was delicious. This cake was will not disappoint the chocolate lover!

Staff was rude. I went in to try a baked good and was never asked if I needed help. The staff never acknowledged me.

Macaroons were rock hard, cheesecake tasted processed, cupcake was salty. Either the baker had a really really off day or this place is on the avoid list.

I love this bakery! I stopped by for the first time to pick up some desserts for after dinner. The staff was incredibly friendly and helped me pick out a delicious assortment so we could try a little bit of everything. My favorites were the cannoli, tiramisu and red velvet cupcakes! So good! They make custom cakes as well which we thought would be fun for my brothers coming up.

Went here today with family and was not impressed. The double espresso was served like warm in a small paper cup.....yuck.....the pastries were not very good and far from what I remember while living in Europe . The decor was elegant but that was it. The general manager was impatient and rude. I was embarrassed going there with my family. Such a shame....i hope it gets better.....

1st experience, a month ago, delicious. This morning, my macarons and several other pastries tasted stale and texture was not good. To make things worse I found a macadamia nut shell in my cookie. Nice to know you use fresh ingredients, but watch out for flying shells in your batter.Year later.... update.... sad: my used to be favorite (fruit tart) has been ruined. The cream center recipe has changed. Also, the new bean coffee roaster coffee coffee they serve is an insult to coffee. Ordered a iced caramel macchiato extra shot.. and received a glass of milk.. iced Americano, looked like tea and tasted like water. The coldbrew.. looked promising, but was a disappointment. Never returning Sadly.. need to find a new bakery.

I have to give them a two star for the following reason: I think they changed their baker because the tiramisu cake is not a tiramisu cake any more. their macaroons have become harder. also when my wife and I went to buy some pastries, the cashier was coming out of the bathroom with a trash bag full of trash and went behind the counter to serve our pastries without washing her hands. I asked if she would wash her hands and she said no, I am wearing gloves. I didnt feel too comfortable with the situation. we decided not to go there any more.

Our favorite place to go for coffee!

This place is absolutely amazing! The european pastries are all done in authentic european fashion, and you can request them to make almost whatever you want. I just had a batch of Apple strudel made today that was the best Ive ever had! The eclaírs, Danishes, the German chocolate cakes and cupcakes, all absolutely incredible! Very clean and fresh, not too sweet or fat feeling, perfectly made pastries, truly! Highly recommend!

Great selection of baked goods, I love their Berry cake, Tiramisu, nutella cake and the tarts, some items are special order so keep that in mind, however everything is fresh and delicious.
