Been playing TCGs and Warhammer here for years. Great shop.

We stopped by this store to look around one afternoon and it’s pretty awesome. They run a small community with almost daily events like Dungeons and Dragons, MTG, and a couple of others that are posted up on a huge board, in addition to their own Discord group. The staff were friendly while we browsed, and a few of who seemed to be regulars also stopped by to chat as we looked as well, offering recommendations on various comic books or just asking about my partners interests in Warhammer: 40K. Worth a stop!

Best store in town hands down, the new Couple that runs the store(Emily and Dan?) is infinitely more inviting and nice then the 2 who ran it before Covid.

Dan and Emily are the cutest shop owner couple and run an amazing shop together, I’ll definitely be continuing to make the drive for the excellent customer service, family atmosphere and amazing owners and employees who go above and beyond to help their customer base out.

These guys are awesome sauce. They know their stuff and they actually care about the stuff they sell. of you want to start learning a board game, ask them and the can help you out. My kids wanted to learn Pokemon TCG and now they love to play! Thanks guys!!

This shop used to be so much more lively in years past. I understand this is largely due to the pandemic, but the product selection has gone downhill, supply is often very limited, and it seems like even the staff are often stand-off-ish. Its sad for me to see this place go a bit dark and lonely, especially after so many good and happy memories here in years past.

Great place to enjoy nerd hobbies. Convenient parking and close a Five Guys. Staff is friendly and plenty of open gaming space.

They have a good selection of comics but not many recent ones last time I went.

Very clean and nice shop, pretty big. Went for Magic the Gathering singles and David was very knowledgeable and helpful. Would visit the shop again even though it is quite a drive for me. Good prices and friendly people.

Really nice place!! Everyone there is always super sweet and helpful, and they have a TON of cool stuff! Their Thursday night game nights are super fun and have a great atmosphere! Only thing I wish they had are more back issues of various comics.

Best place in California for you gaming, magic, and comic book needs. The facilities are huge and well organized. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The staff and the owners make you feel welcomed and at home. The community that plays there is fun and welcoming. Best of all, the prices are all very low and competitive for high quality product. Once you go to SoCal, you wont want to go anywhere else.

This is a great place. I’m a Young Senior. 59! To be exact. I wanted to learn how to play D&D. Here they are teaching me. I feel welcome in this place.The prices are good. The location is central and lots of eateries around too. Especially like that I can run into ROOTS Market and get my “Gamer Snack” then head over for some great Thursday night FUN!!!!It’s a Great game. Just play my first game of D&D here last night and had a great time. Every one was super friendly and the store was clean and has a good selection of comics and table top game items/also books to pick from. Cant wait to return next Thursday.

Good selection of comics. They got some items that I was looking for. My interests was re-freshened. Staffs were knowledgeable and surely liked their job.

Comics, warhammer, and D&D? Oh my! Selection of miniatures is great and they dedicate an entire wall to comic books. The other side of the store is the miniature games. Since their remodel, the gaming area is even more spacious now.

If you are interested comics this is not the place for you, or me. I placed an order for 3 comics on 12/29/19 and as of this review on 02/09/20 I only received 2 of them. Same story every time, it was damaged in transport and we had to reorder. Today while picking up my number two comic, the clerk stood in a corner for 20 minutes texting while three others in the room setup their card games sets. Im going to Graham Crackers off of Madison from now on. Update, still do not have my last and final comic. Was also confronted by store manager and am very displeased with their level of service.

The staff goes out of their way to make each and every customer feel like they are part of the family. If they dont have it on the shelves, and they are unable to order it for you, than theyll point you in the right direction to get you taken care of. Thats why I maintain a subscription to a comic that I dont even read anymore with them just because I want to support them.

This place was great with awesome and helpful staff and community. My girlfriend got me into MTG and we stopped in here to build decks and people were very helpful and knowledgeable. They also have a selection of Warhammer, DnD, board games and comics that will definitely keep me coming back.

Super friendly people and Very helpful! Not at all like the Comic Book Guy on the Simpsons. Sean took time to show our kids how to play Pokemon. The regulars are also very nice, and there is a cool family friendly vibe that you dont always get at comic book shops.

Absolutely Awesome staff. Rachel helped me order a comic and when there was a problem she made sure to get it to me in mint condition & keep me informed on the status. This place really cares about their customers and about the service they deliver.

I heard that SoCal was opening up so quickly after the other local gaming shop (Thou Shalt Game) was closing. Which was a staple in the local gaming community, but I can say this was a much needed change.SoCal Games and Comics is much better on every level. Customer service and aesthetically.Aesthetically the place is super spacious, clean, and doesnt smell bad at all (incredil rare for a gaming shop). The high ceilings make it feel less cramped, they have great climate control so it doesnt feel like a muggy nerd swamp. The shop is incredibly organized wall to wall. They have an incredibly huge comic book/ comic trade selection, as well as a huge selection of board games and hobby games to choose from. I especially like that they have a lot of games you can demo with staff or other resident players (who seemed more than happy and nice enough to teach someone to play) before you decide whether you may want to purchase or buy into said game.The staff at SoCal are nothing but nice. They did not have a product I was looking for, and they went out of their way to bring up the product from their sister store (Sky High Comics in San Marcos), so I could have what I was looking for the next day. Thank you for that!I definitely recommend checking out SoCal for anything table top gaming and comic book related!

This is the place to go in Temecula! It has everything you need and then some! Love all the D&D stuff as well as comics. The staff is friendly and treats you like family!

SoCal Games and Comics is the epitome of your Friendly Local Game Store (FLGS). I mostly attend RPG nights with my daughter, but have also purchased comics and minis from here.Staff is attentive, environment clean, and store layout conducive to browsing your interests without getting in the way of others. For folks who are new to the various hobbies, the staff are great ambassadors, getting folks pointed in the right direction, offering tips, and introducing them to others who share the same interests.I see regular Magic tournaments, special RPG events, and even comic author/artist signings (their social media presence is updated regularly).The environment is family-friendly, and disruptive boisterous activity is kept to a minimum, while still enabling everyone to enjoy their hobbies.

Out of all the comic and game shops I have ever been to, not one has made me feel as welcome as this one. I gave up my quest for a game shop after attending here. Amazing selection and great staff. From comics to magic to pathfinder. The friendly staff will help you find what you are looking for, or even teach you how to play a game you may be interested in.

I only shop here as a last resort and even then its a let down every time. New books come out every Wednesday and they will be completely sold out of certain titles by Noon. If youre not a subscriber - youre beat. The back issue stock is also very poor and may as well be in $0.50-$1 bins. On one occasion, I wanted to buy comic bags and boards but they were sold out. When I asked when they would get more, Rachel, the girl with the pink hair replied, I dont know. When I asked what brand and size they order, again, her response was, I dont know. I put the few books I was going to purchase back on the shelf and left empty handed. Rachel also likes to pretend like she knows what shes talking about. Kind of like those girls at Hot Topic who just saw Star Wars for the first time. I am not a gamer, so I cannot share my opinion on that aspect of the store but as a comic book nerd, whether youre a collector or casual reader, avoid this place like the plague.Ryans Comics up the road in Murrieta is a decent shop. It was recently bought and renamed Graham Cracker Comics but is still reliable, friendly, and helpful. Or just order through eBay or Amazon. I would rather wait a week and pay for S&H than drive ten minutes and be disappointed by SoCal Games and Comics.

Went in with my son the other day. To the lady that was working behind the counter, you are the most rudest person I have ever met in my life. Next time try not to talk to your customers in a condescending and passive aggressive tone. The amount of cussing in this store is ridiculous theres no filter whatsoever. This place is not kid friendly. Its just a place where degenerates and lowlifes hang out. Cant really tell the difference between this place and a dive bar.

DnD night is awesome! Had a blast meeting new people. Our party’s DM was very experienced; he painted an absolute word painting that sparked the imagination and made the whole evening an immersive adventure.

Condescending staff, poor selection, disorganized store.Staff was snide when regarding the back issues I was looking for, incapable of speaking in anything but an um, sweetie uptalk. Then failed to find what I was looking for and tried to pass a graphic novel off as the same thing.Then they chastised a regular customer in front of me for not picking up his ordered comics, which he was there to pick up.Then they rang up the customer behind me because she worked in the area and they were buddies.I went in looking to spend a fair amount of money and possibly bring in my D&D group and instead I was treated like a hassle, rushed out, and will caution others to avoid this place.

Female Employee with colored hair raised her eyebrow at me and acted snarky because i misspoke when trying to tell her what i was looking for. If you are that hostile towards people who are obviously new to your store and are still trying to figure out what to buy then I will be taking my business elsewhere. she does not seem to know what professional customer service even is.

The owner and staff were very friendly, and willing to answer questions when I first came in. They didnt have the games I was looking for but offered to special order them for me. After telling me they would arrive in 3 days, I showed up only to be told that they werent in and nobody had bothered to let me know. They gave me a new arrival date. I again showed up at the shop to find the games not there. The next date they gave me, I called ahead to make sure they had arrived. I was told they did, so I drove to the shop, they werent there. The next day they called to let me know they had arrived, I drove to the store again and only 2 of my 3 games had arrived (2 weeks after I placed the order).By this time I had left multiple phone messages and in-person messages with employees asking to speak to the owner. None were returned, and none of the employees could even give me a date when my third game would arrive. Nearly 3 weeks after my initial order, I finally showed up and happened to find the owner. Only then did he let me know that the game was back ordered, meaning that every one of the arrival dates I was given was simply made up by whatever employee I was talking to.I really wanted to like this shop, but the lack of organization and communication made it very frustrating to do business with them. Even asking an employee to look up my order entailed a 10 minute wait while they typed a full novel into the computer.

Had at least 100-150$ worth of Pokémon ex card I brought in. Most of them were pretty rare it’s was a pretty large stack of cards and they gave me 15$ for it. I mean come on one card from that stack was worth 15$ I was such in need of the money I had to sell them. Totally regret it. Highly don’t recommend selling anything to them, they will rip you off

I play here every weekend and often sign up for their Warhammer leagues. They run both 40k and AoS (not at the same time usually). The people are friendly and always willing to help out newbies.

If you are into board games and Warhammer, then this is the place to be. It has a limited stock of other miniatures. The staff was very helpful and refereed me to another store when they didnt have what I was looking for.

I moved to Temecula from San Diego and I can honestly say its tough finding a place that sells magic singles let alone provides friendly customer service. I cant believe someone else rated this a one. The store owner not only answered all my questions for quite a while he also answered many of them two hours past closing and played my friend a game of street fighter. The customers who shop there all seemed to know each other and there was a free magic rules guide and spider man sketchbook for customers. A++

Yeah, Im never going to shop here.I went into SoCal Games and Comics to promote an event which greatly appeals to their customer demographic. I was waiting in line to ask the woman behind the register if I could leave some flyers for my event on the front counter. The customers in line before me seemed like theyd be interested in my event, so I began to tell them about it... when Ms. Thing behind the counter (presumably the proprietor) rudely interrupted me by saying, Um, could you NOT do that inside my store?! I tried multiple times to politely explain my position to her, but she failed to drop her negative, hostile attitude. Yes, I realize I may have been slightly out of line, forward even, in my actions, but Ive NEVER had a store manager give me such unwarranted attitude when promoting my events elsewhere. Before enduring her mistreatment, I had planned to purchase some choice collectables there at SCG&C, but I was so hurt by her words, I changed my mind. Not only would I have spent a significant amount of my hard-earned cash at SCG&C that day, but this review would have been positive and helpful to this establishment. In fact, I went to the GameStop right around the corner and spent the money there instead.A word of advice Girly: maybe use a bit more tact and diplomacy when dealing with your customers?Oh, and another thing: tattoos are trashy... especially on females.
