Buy a lot at this location and not because I want to. The sale prices are sometimes good. Some of the cashiers are really good. My frame of mind may improve due to them.I use their card and never have paid the very high interest. The card saves a little money. The mobile application is decent. The number and message through email is poor marketing. Every email has saving money ending. How many times can the sky fall?

Theresa greeted us when we walked in the door with these exact words, “WE CLOSE IN 15 MINUTES, how are you?” not the best way to treat a customer as they embark on a money spending journey in your store. Is it a crime to enter jc penny after I am done working to try to buy a winter coat for my son? Or was it because of my race? Who knows…

The Google Site information is incorrect. Google says they close at 7pm on Sundays but when you call the store their automated phone info says the store closes at 6pm. I understand hours can change but you need to keep up with your social media pages and update information like hours as they change.

Easy return of a couple of items ordered on line. They had some great sales.

After making a return of some items I was impressed with how easy it was to find reliable options. It was fun seeing new belts that didn’t even have any holes. At first I passed right by but after trying it on I really liked how convenient it was will consider it in the near future.

Visited the Salon. Gavin did such a fantastic job cutting and styling my daughters hair that both my mom and I went to him.

The store was organized neatly and clean. My husband used the restroom and he said the lavatory was more like an art decor rather than a regular one. We went there to return a defected item since the item couldnt find at JCPenney near Phoenix and Glendale. The girl named Tatum was sweet and friendly, took care our return item and the experience was painless.

I was looking for a Van Heusen Flex Pant size 36 x 30. The store price was $39.99 and JC Pennys website price was $31.99. While searching, I found the exact same pant by Van Hausen in amazon for $19.99. I went to the check-out and politely asked whether they do price match.The lady said they do. They checked, double checked the amazon offer, tried to sell me a JC Penny credit card and finally said the BEST they can do is their website price $31.99.That is NOT a price matching ! Why waste peoples time when you do NOt do price matching with competitors?Ill never buy anything from this store. Long live Amazon !

I have not been to a JCPenney/Pennys for a while and decided to get out of my way to come here. You wont find employees in the store anywhere, so know where the items are in the store. The store layout is very confusing and there are no workers to help me locate the items, so I spent about 15 minutes to find the items. I also checked out their Sephora store, which I am surprised they still have it, as I thought they moved to Kohls. I spent a few minutes in there, and learned that the employee in the Sephora is not nice nor helpful. At around closing time, I decided to just go checkout, thinking that it would be a fast checkout and go- I was wrong. There were about 5 people in front of me and the two cashiers are really taking their time- I had to wait 15 minutes for me to be checked out at the store. It was nice that the cashier did price match the items I am getting with the in-app price. Overall, if this is the only JCP around you, go check it out, but do know where each items you are looking for are at in the store, and dont expect too much of quality with the service attitude from employees here.

The service from this place is the worst, the manager who is in charge of the jewelry area is a good for nothing worker, just because I didnt buy the watch in their store they didnt want to change the battery, the other worker needs to have a better training in how to attend the customer, and give a better service I wont recommend this place at all they need a new staff and a better attitude.

The clothing stock hastaken a Covid conundrum. I found jeans that fit me but not the style I usually buy. The other location in Tempe did not even have my size. Strange times we live in.

Good variety of clothes but I just couldnt find a suit that fit me. Great store but not the best time for me.

Used to have better prices, they didnt have a large selection of mens jeans sizes and the coupons are only valid for non-national brand merchandise. You can still find deals but, you have to be ready to dig a lot more than you used to.

For a guy who hasnt shopped their much the last 40 years. I actually am impressed! Quality is good pricing is fantastic.

Very disappointing. Not many choices for necklaces and wouldnt have been able to use my gift card if Id bought anything.

A lot of the clothes ring up wrong at the register, you have to really pay attention. I bought 6 items and I was overcharged for 4 of them, I live to far away to go back but if I do shop there again I will be checking every item.

Found things that met our needs, but often couldnt find desired size of some items--selection seemed picked over. Granddaughter loves dress pants we got.

Was excited to shop as they seem to have a nice collection, however was disappointed that they dont provide wheelchairs or scooters for those folks not able to walk as well as others.

Friendly people fast service always a great experience

The store was very clean and festive. There was one girl in particular that stood out out of all the employees. I wish I would have caught her name but she was a gem at her job. The cashier that handled me was also very good, but then thete was a bad apple toward the end of my visit. I wasnt going to let her get me down because I had just scored so many good deals. Definitely not the store it used to be. I had to hunt and find someone to ask for help. I was simply looking for a watch band and a cloth mask (both of which this locations store said was available). Then kept getting directed to places that was not what I asked about or told no they dont carry them. Staff werent even smiling or friendly.

My wife went there to purchase some items we needed, and were not being familiar with the store, we spent over 20 minutes looking for someone to help, but could not find anyone anywhere in the store. We couldnt even find where to check out if we were lucky enough to find something to buy. So we went elsewhere to shop. Only come to this store if you know where to find what you are looking for!!!

5 star embarrassment for sure! Two fine JCPENNYS employees doing great at starting trouble for what ever reason they possess. I have video of the whole thing and the police came fully loaded for bear and proceeded to lie as well. Go figure just a sign of the times.Trident security is also paid off i guess, oh yeah private security. They always have such great sale prices and one of the cashiers Abby went out of her way to find me an additional 25%off coupon from her phone. However, the manager was very rude and snobby which there were a few older employees that I felt were rude and a bit snobbish... Abby and Angie another employee both pretty young yet had the best customer service out of all of them. The manager could definitely take some lessons from those 2!!

My mom saved a ton of money shopping for my boys for Christmas, the store was clean, well stocked and I felt safe. However there was a strange woman who made a huge scene during our checkout and I found that tacky and it sorta put a damper on our experience sadly.

VERY RUDE PEOPLE WORK HERE. walked around over priced, deserted store, and found a few things I liked. Waited in long line over 10 minutes...an women working there was so rude i walked out. I asked clear questions, an she ignored me amd tried to just push through a sale. LEARN CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

J C Penny brand of clothing is very good.

I am over with it, these stores have taken out all places to sit down. I am handicaped and I need to sit every now and then, pennys needs to put the benches back in at the front doors. They used to have some wooden benches in the aisles, or supply wheelchairs. Think more about your handicap customers!!!

I had a very bad encounter with a supervisor named Amy who works at the jewelry counter at JC Penny located at Tempe Marketplace. She was extremely unprofessional, rude, argumentative, and disrespectful towards me. It was my first time ever experiencing shopping on Black Friday and she made my shopping experience really terrible! I have reached out to the store manager and have also filed a complaint with JC Pennys Corporate office.

Seems like a liquidation store.

I really like this store, its one of the few big clothing stores left. The customer service is Always good, and customer service is big to me. Its always clean and organized, which makes shopping easier.

I needed to buy a couple of jeans and JCP is the best place to buy clothing. We got there at 8:45 pm and only had 15 minutes until the store closed. The entire staff were very friendly and helpful. I managed to find what i needed and wanted. We got the register just after 9 pm. The young associate was very pleasant even though the store was closed. She helped complete our purchase quickly, answered our questions, and thanked us for shopping. What great service! This is one great place to shop!

Weve been coming here for years for the portrait studio at the back of the store. The store layout forces you to go around other sections sometimes, and if you didnt already know that the salon and photography areas were at the very back center of the store you would never find them.

Purchased 3 shirts all the same size but all fit different when at home. Staff was helpful returning them.

I found exactly what I needed. They still have a nice store. I hope it doesnt close.

This JCPenney is where you can eat cake and have it- meaning you get cute clothes at an affordable price. They run a lot of nice deals each time I come in. For instance, once I got about 10 pieces of clothing and it totaled to about $100. If I do recall, it was the start of December last year, that they had one of their best sales.The only minor issue is their dressing rooms. Sometimes, for whatever reason they will close one dressing room down- so you have to walk all the way over to the other side of the store to try something on.Other than that, the store is well kept and neat, and the people that work there are nice to deal with.

They were very helpful, when I was clearly lost. It was my first time there and doing the picture thing and they helped me feel comfortable and tried everything to help me get great pictures of my 2 year old. He wasnt having it the first go at it, but they were great. They understood, rescheduled and tried again. The second time was a charm. Loved my pictures and will more than likely do it again!!!
