I work at the Verizon next door and have gone here for the past 3 years. Everybody is so nice and so genuine. They all learn your first name quickly and I’ve never had better customer service from a food establishment. I truly am amazed by the customer service here. On top of everything the food and drinks are great!!

Did I say Yummy it was just what I wanted, a slightly salty chewy crusty bread.I had looked all over for some good sour dough bread and looked up Great Harvest Bread. They have all sorts of bread and had some nice looking loafs of sour dough.The staff was all wearing masks and were very helpful so I placed my order. They asked if I wanted it sliced and I did so.They rang up my order and it came to $7.06 while it sounded high I wanted the bread.It did not disappoint me, as I drove out I reached in and grabbed the Rhine. Then after that at the next stop light had another piece. Did I say Yummy it was just what I wanted, a slightly salty chewy crusty bread.For me Im going back next time as this was great bread and well worth the cost.

Phenomenal Great Harvest Bread and a Tempe treat! Once you go, you will wonder how you lived before without it.Friendly and fun staff are a huge bonus too. Stock up, their bread freezes beautifully and theyll even give you extra bags to double-wrap it.

I cant believe it took me 19 years to go to great harvest! I love their warm sandwiches as well as their fresh bread. Good quality, and so yummy! The staff are always very welcoming, efficient, and helpful. Definitely worth the price. Also the Big Kahuna bars are insanely good, even if they put you in a sugar coma. Definitely would recommend.

After getting another awesome reflexology next door at the Golden Feet, we decided to try the Great Harvest sandwiches for lunch. Their store sells lots of local products such as honey, jam, oil, preserves... We ordered our food at the counter, one Cobb sandwich (roasted turkey, bacon, tomatoes...on jalapeno garlic bread) and one bbq chicken sandwich. Sandwiches come without any sides unless you ask for it. It was very nice to have a real sandwich! No cold cut, no bread that you can use to play according with! Bread is wholesome, inside is like a homemade sandwich. It was plentiful and tasty. It hit the spot, l will definitively return soon.

Great bread shop. Came here for the easter bunny bread which was pretty much just a delicious cinnamon roll bread. The sourdough loaf we bought was also wonderful.

I used to to buy bread from Great Harvest 10 plus years ago when I lived in Michigan. Today I discovered that there is a store location fairly close to me in Tempe AZ!! Scored myself a loaf of Dakota bread today and I am a happy guy. Best bread for buttered toast in the USA... Killer Dave bread cannot come close to Great Harvest IMO. Try a grilled cheese sandwich with this bread, you will not be disappointed. This is a heavy and dense bread full of flavor. Dont be concerned that the price point is higher than the grocery stores. Grocery store breads are fluffed and full of air. Try it!!

When you think of Great Harvest Bread Co you think of Bread! Right!?! But its so much more. There 9 Grain Cereal is to die for! Its soooo... good.

We tried the Dakota whole wheat bread and didn’t like it coz it was too heavy by weight itself plus tasted too sweat for a bread with whole grain ingredients- millet,sesame,whole wheat .They can remove the honey / sugar they put in as they aren’t transparent in which one they add.Also the nutritional info doesn’t say added sugar although they did add.Just 1 slice would fill you up.

Highest price I have ever paid for bread!! A lot of touristy items. Paid 28 dollars for hot cross buns and a bunny raisin bread.

When I say eateries I mean soup, salads, sandwiches, hot and cold, you know paninis, but remember this is a bread store but the out side seating is great for a quick bite I like the extreme cinnamon swirl bread, I use it for French toast, and it was recommended for me dessert warm up with a scoop of ice cream on top, darn I gave up ice cream

Staple of our community. I have told the owner that he is the hardest working person in town. Every day they come in before dawn and grind the grain for the bread they bake. It doesn’t get any fresher. Ward and Leslie are a community treasure. Come in and see for yourself. Guarantee you will be hooked.

Great Harvest grinds their own flour which makes their bread super delicious. It is better than any homemade bread Ive made or had. There is a rotating bread menu so make sure to check online before you go. They make everything from 100% whole wheat, high fiber bread to white flour dessert bread and desserts. There is a little cafe there for sandwiches and drinks but the real star is the baked goods. They have fresh bread samples every day. You will want to get all your bread here!

I love wheat, I love gluten, I love flour and I especially, love, love, love bread. Harvest delivers in spades. I love the breads, the quick breads, the desserts. I go for a sandwich and walk out with so much more! The freshness of their bread cannot be underestimated. So good! They do offer gluten fee options, I have never tried them but lots of people do. Enjoy all of it, you wont regret it.

Every time we eat here my wife and I have a conversation about food shouldnt taste this good. Keeping things simple and using good quality ingredients shows when you take a bite of anything here. The love they put into their menu shows. The care they take for allergens is amazing as well for anyone with gluten restrictions.

Wonderful place. Smells great (if youre into bread) and they offer free slices with butter. very tasty. The daily bread selection is very good, and the seasonal offerings are great, try the cinnamon chip. The staff is helpful and the owner is a great resource on the various grains used in their product.

The term Bakery Cafe was new for me and reading about the Great Harvest Bread Co. created the expectation that when I am there I will learn more about their breads. However, my experience was more about their limited services as a cafe and not about their breads at all. In other words, as a new comer I expected to hear more about the kinds of bread they have and what they recommend or want me to use in my sandwich but no time for that. The cafe has been in current location for the past 10 years and its the only one in Phoenix. There are more branches in other states and cities and also franchise opportunities and contracts for multi-unit owners.

I picked up a cinamon roll from them at the Road Runner Farmers Market. It was normal looking, but the taste and flavors were AWESOME! Who would believe a simple unassuming roll from a nice lady at a unassuming sale booth could be this good. The guy who bought something after me said this was his crack. Now I know what he meant. AWESOME!

My FAVORITE bread store. Yummy custom recipes... ten were on the shelf this morning. At least a dozen choices for a desert such as Lemon Bars or Marbled Brownies. A family owned and run store offering a free sample slice each day. 5 to choose from. Plenty of home made dog treats, dry soup mixes, peanut butter blends and jams. Baskets and tea towels make unique gifts for anyone with a kitchen. Did I mention sandwiches and a coffee bar?

They have the absolute BEST bread, Ive ever eaten! Leslie, gave me a tour the 1st time I went to buy bread!This is family owned and the people that work there are incredibly friendly, including 2 of their sons!They are truly in it for the right reasons and take pride their work!

For the longest time, I thought they just sold bread. Thats far from it. They are a delicious cafe/bakery/deli. Their sandwiches are fresh and tasty. They have an extensive dessert menu and a large tea selection. If youre in the mood for fresh, healthy food, this is your place.

We’ve been here a couple time and they are awesome every time. They give you samples of their fresh bread and oh em gee. I can’t even tell anyone how amazing it is so just go there for yourself!!

This is one of the very few places i can enjoy a REALLY GOOD gluten-free loaf of bread! Last time I got the gluten free pumpkin and chocolate chip loaf. It tasted like cake! Mmmmmm..... The people inside are so friendly and fun. I absolutely love coming here!

This quaint little shop is the perfect place for breakfast or lunch. Great coffee, the bread is unbelievable, and the sandwiches rock. I always feel great after eating here! It is tucked back a ways and the center itself is crammed with minimal parking, but I highly suggest you check this place out. It is worth it.

I’ve been to Great Harvest Bread Co in both Longmont Co and Tempe AZ and they are both AWESOME !!! For regular gluten or non-gluten baking, this is the spot for you. Recommendations:1) One must try is the Monkey Bread. It’s like cinnamon bun dough rolled into small bits and then all put together into a bread loaf - incredible !!!! This one is gluten.2) A GF bread that’s just remarkable is their pumpkin chocolate chip loaf. Superb !!!!3) For thanksgiving they made a GF turkey stuffing loaf - had celery, sage, and other spices. Great toast and tasted just like turkey stuffing.Definitely a bakery to place on your shopping list.

A bread company like no other. Their authentic and quality fresh bread just cant be beat. I like to stop by on the way to work when the bread is still piping hot. A little on the high end of bread prices but you get what you pay for! Their gluten free discipline around breadmaking is top notch and it tastes amazing. A must try.

Great local place for bread.

This was probably the worst experience with gluten free anything Ive ever had. The gluten free bread was like how I imagine eating a sand castle might taste like. The bread was firm-ish, so dry that when you touched it the entire sandwich crumbled around your fingers. Ive had many many different types of gluten free breads, wraps, etc and this was just embarrassing. If you cant take the time to make a decent gluten free bread than just buy one from some of the other reputable gluten free suppliers. Or simply dont market anything gluten free, at least then Id have known I was going to be eating a breadless sandwich, instead Im left hungry and annoyed.

So many breads to choose from. Looks for the schedule to see which breads are made daily/weekly. And love their huge cookies, also!

Being from Montana I was excited to know where they were from and when I saw a video on how their bread was made!!! I live in the far West valley of Phoenix so it was a bit of a drive but I would do it over & over again to get this bread, and nut butters, honey, cookies! This place is AMAZING and soooooo worth any distance you have to drive!!!

Very friendly staff. Their bread are made really good. Its very heavy too. You can always ask to try out some of their daily made bread. The fresh made iced latte with soy milk is a must try item. They have different bread in different week days. My favorite item is the cheese and chili bread on Thursday.There is just one thing that isnt perfect. Since their kitchen is behind their counter, the temperature is always higher than normal. In the summer, the place can be really warm.

This was my least favorite great harvest location experience. every other great harvest ive been to is extremely welcoming and friendly and this place was not. ive also never been to a great harvest where i had to ask for a slice of sample bread, and when i did ask i was given what amounts to a cracker sized piece of not so fresh bread. the sandwich bread slices were also way too thin (the sandwich was soaked through with vinegar within seconds) and honestly, not worth the money i paid. such a shame because i am a huge great harvest fan but this place is doing a poor job upholding the brand name.

Friendliest staff Ive come across in a long while for a grocery/restaurant type of place, food is most excellent and given what youre getting, the price is more than fair! I went for my first time in the morning a few days ago and the barrista (I think Jen is her name.) probably has the highest amount of patience Ive ever seen in someone her age (there was an elderly man in front of me who was a little... persnickety. And Im assuming, of course that shes in her 20s.) She never lost a step and was able to move a mile a minute to fulfill the older gentlemans request. On top of all of this, the quality of the bread is beyond anything you will find even in health food stores, and worth every penny. I only wish I lived closer!

Just found this place by chance, and we love it. They have non-bromated, non-gmo flour. They mill their own wheat flour from wheat berries that are certified non-gmo and they dont add eggs or dairy or any additives to it. AND they have Louisiana style king cake, which well be ordering soon for our Mardi Gras party. They have many different types of bread, so be sure to check them out!
