Went a couple months ago. The gentleman who helped us was very nice and helpful. He worked within our budget and actually got us a great deal. The scottsdale location was closing and were having a clearance sale. Not only was it half the price, they were able to take even more off that. He offered to have it delivered and setup for a fee but its not too hard to do myself. I met up with him, he took it apart, loaded it up and off I went. Setup was really quick and intuitive.
I was having issues with my elliptical I bought off a friend, unfortunately the unit wasn’t worth fixing. It was super reliable for years, so I knew I wanted to find a like brand. I went into Johnson Fitness and was able to try a lot of different models. I ended up buying a newer version of my old elliptical, and I’ve never been happier. The TV screen with programming is a serious upgrade and the warranty was reasonable. I appreciated how patient the sales person was, I made the right decision..
Tonight me, my husband, and a friend walked in to 2nd Wind to see what they had. It was 6:20 on a Saturday night 2/4/17 and all of the lights were off. I assumed they were closed, but I tried opening the door anyways, and it was still open! We walked in and there was a guy standing behind the desk and we asked, are you open? He said they were, but he was hoping to leave a couple minutes early. 40 minutes early! I appreciated the honesty so we told him we just wanted to look around and we would leave quickly. He replied yeah that would be great especially if youre not interested in buying anything. At this point we all just felt really awkward and left. I will never return to this location. We will buy our work out equipment for our gym some where else. I understand people dont want to work on a Saturday night, but it doesnt mean you can treat customers poorly.
I went into the Johnson Fitness store in Tempe to compare pricing on an A50 elliptical. The store manager working was very knowledgeable and polite, he ended up getting me a great price on the unit. I came back a month later for their Kagra massage chair. The same guy ended up assisting and again was able to give me a deal I was comfortable with. I highly recommend checking out this location. No pressure and reasonable pricing.
I called in to find a part for a treadmill im trying to sell & Cody graciously provided solutions even though it wasnt offered through their store. He could of easily said no and moved on, we appreciate folks like him that go a little extra for the sake of helping someone. Thanks Cody!
The Tempe store has a good selection of equipment for cardio and strength, and is pretty convenient to get to, especially if you’re looking to get some other shopping done at the same time. Their new massage chair lineup is high quality.
I made a mistake by not reading the reviews when I bought something from 2nd Wind. The sales guy who helped me was actually pretty great, knowledgeable and friendly. But the equipment I came home with was shotty and not performing well like it was in the store.I was told I had 15 days of a grace period to return the faulty equipment (which I acknowledge and accept I didnt do because I didnt get a chance to actually use it after purchasing), but was told I have a 30 day window to return just for store credit on another piece of equipment. Turns out, that 30 day window isnt true and thats only for new equipment. Funny how they failed to tell me that when purchasing. It didnt matter as I was outside of the 30 day window anyway, and I acknowledge and accept that. Like I said, I just needed options on what to do, such as hire a repair company? Maybe theyd work with me some since I was only 15 days out of the 30 day limit (I wasnt counting on it or expecting it, but some places do help with customers in situations), maybe they knew a trick to just reset the computer on the elliptical? Just something of help.Well my response was after I received a lecture from some cocky and arrogant guy on the phone, I was told where they get their repair work done, followed by a very defensive lecture and questioning from the guy about how I was not smart in returning it right away and paying extra for an extended warranty. Like I said, because I wasnt able to use the equipment in time due to outside circumstances, I couldnt return it, nor was I ask him to take it back or anything. I was just trying to see my available options.The one star rating isnt from the salesman I bought it from, or because they wouldnt take it back or exchange or anything. I get that. The one star rating is because of the horrible post-sale customer service and lecture they gave. Man, I cant stress enough, NEVER BUY FROM THIS PLACE. I never will again after that kind of treatment.
