A must visit historical place. Beautiful garden and awesome palace.
The park is beautiful. One suggestion from me, no need to enter the palace. Moreover if you already put Hermitage in your list to visit.Catherine Palace is nothing compared with Hermitage. And it more expensive too. So it wont worth your money. You need to queue in a line for almost 3 hours, but you just need 30 minutes to enjoy it (because what is opened for public is just a small part of it).On our visit last August, we came there by public transport (bus). From the bus stop, you just need to walk about 300-400m to the parks gate.
So calm ..so nice..feel like in paradise ..relaxing walking between trees, lacs
A wonderful park in the town of Pushkin, very close to Saint Petersburg. There are different types of tickets. Visitors can buy a ticket to enter the park or a combo ticket for both the park and the palace. Other types of tickets include tickets for tours and specific museums tickets. The park-only ticket is very cheap and has the shortest queuing line. There are some good dining options close to the beautiful lake. There’s also a small cafe close to the entrance overlooking the palace. In addition, a few food kiosks are scattered throughout the park.
Absolutely fantastic place with very adorable prices!Dont know why is this place not such popular as Peterhoff but we enjoy it much more seen much more and 5 hours of walking go very quick.Looking forward to get back to Pushkin town and no doubt could see even better.Awesome, clean and wonderful place.Thank you very much for great impressions and inspiration for my art.
Gorgeous, huge garden with a lake, baths, ice cream stands. A scenic and tranquil place. Take care when buying ice cream from the stands as the sellers misquote and do try to rip you off by doubling or tripling the cost. A small cup should cost about 120 roubles, but I was quoted 300.#localguides
After saw a very long que.. I decided to walk around this park. Its okay if you wanna take a fresh air and chill
I think you should stay there at list a night because that was amazing palace and amazing area that you can imagine in your mind.
Amazing gardens. There are several pavilion to visit and they all have wildly different styles, which makes it fun. Some are available to visit with a ticket (like the amazing Cold Baths, where the Agathe Rooms are located) and some can be visited for free (like the Chinese style pavilion and the Italian Style pavilion with authentic roman mosaics from the 2nd century) Just strolling around is nice, and they are more chilled than Petergof, with lots of locals enjoying the scene.
Very beautiful place. You can rent bicycle near to this park
If you have time visit it. It is not like Petergoff, much bigger, and more places to see. Visit her palace and hermitage both interiors represents her unique personality. Hermitage pay is around 300 rubels. The entrance to the park around 150 rubels, and to the palace maybe 900 rubels, different prices for Russians. The queue to the palace can be very long. But everything is much more organised than in Petergoff. Gives you a very nice overall experience. Inside the park you can find fast food like hot dogs, tea and icecream... all around you when you walk the big park. Will take you one full day and you still might not finish it all. Alexandar palace has different entry, it is for free. Nice park, but you cant see the palace as it was under renovation when i made this review. The park is very nice though.
Nice and very cosy place.
Was a lovely park...and we were lucky enough that we catch one couple wedding...they were pretty
The interior design is mesmerizing, and the garden is also very beautiful. Cannot miss it when visiting St.Petersburg
I literally got lost from my private tour guide for over an hour. But boy oh boy, what a place to be lost =beautiful! Wouldve given it 5 had I had more time to look around as opposed to looking for my guide.
One of the most beautiful parks in the world, historical and only $2 to enter
Best place. I like it
Nice park featuring both the garden architecture styles (English and French). For sure worth a stroll
Beautiful parks. But there are a lot of visitors, the park itself does not cope with this amount.
Very nice, gorgeous, but way too many tourists...
Beautiful park. Must visit. Greeeeen
Great places, lets visit in the autumn
Very beautiful also in winter.
Beautiful palace and gardens. Slightly chaotic due to lack of signs. Dont miss the amber room.
It is most luxurious place in St Petersburg, Russia.
GREAT EXPERIENCED WITH A GROUP OF FRIENDS
Very well maintained and very tourist friendly. Magnificient garden.
Very beautiful park.
Great mustsee park near great mustvisit palace.
This place is beautiful, relaxing, huge, breath taking, full of fresh air. Its a must visit if you happen to be in pushkin.
Beautiful park but an owercrowded inside during tours.
Beautiful Palace and surrounding park!
Always nice but this year a severe lack of maintenance.
Breathtaking museum with lavish decoration!
Very beautiful this time of year.
Very beautiful park, part of the Catherine Palace. Great place to stroll around. Make sure you wear walking shoes!
Must visit .Great place for long summer walks .
Its so great and beautiful
Very good! It is amazing!
Must-see, wonderful park. Probably no better place to spend a rare sunny day around St. Petersburg
Beautiful patk
Restrictions on public video recording seem rather unreasonable. This isnt a military installation is it?
Absolutely beautiful! Book ahead or go as part of a tour if you want to enter the Palace!
Beautiful place, but expect long lines to get in.
I love this park, so beautiful and great angle to take a photo from everywhere
So Beautiful
This is an interesting and extraordinary park as there are two distinct parts, one Dutch the other a free flowing English garden style. On top of that there is a beautiful lake you can walk around and you might even come across a male choir singing inside a small Auditorium as we did when we visited as part of a small group. As we were on a tight schedule we did not get very long to view these wonderful gardens but what we did see we really appreciated.
Beautiful place. Catherine Park offers both tranquility with an immense parc, and the possibility to see different palaces, and it well worth it.Word of advice. If you take the subway and bus, expect a good hour and a half to get there.Once you are there, expect another hour or two depending on the crowd to enter Catherines palace (use an umbrella to protect you from the sun and water to rehydrate.oncebinside Catherines palace, you will discover what luxury is.You have loads of other smaller places to visit in the parc. The Alexander palace home of the last Tsar is closed for renovations.Enjoy.
Great park to enjoy nice walk in.
Beautiful park with old buildings. Not all exits are open, so you can walk and hit the fence.
A beautiful place to walk. Actually if you go deeeper Info the park especially not during summer you can avoid the crowds and get some quiet rest. You have the chance to see different views of Katharine Park and the life long time ago. Nice place with some Highlights
Nice place
Beautiful!
Must see.
The place is beautiful, but be careful, there are pickpockets, 2 disguised actors as Catherine and Orlov, with a photographer, who ask for your purse, dont give your pursre !
Incredibly interesting park with a very diverse landscape and beautiful pieces of art everywhere.
Beautiful garden for spending time!
Very huge park with interesting attractions. Can walk to Alexander Park whose entrance fee is included. Alexander Palace is still under restoration though. Will need probably minimum 5 hours to cover both extensively.Note in summer even though it’s over 20 degree Celsius it can get very chilly!
Sublime
A beautiful and stunning place, park is huge, a lot of ponds and trees, benches and places to have a look and take photos
Wonderful place, can be very romantic to walk there with a girlfriend if only I had one. If you would like to visit the Palace better to come early as you would need to wait at least 2 hours or sometimes in the evening around 6 pm the queue can be shorter.
Worth to visit.
A heavenly beautiful garden. Best time to visit is mid summer. The main pond is awesome. The area is large and requires several hours to explore all. The high volume of rainfall and snowfall in Saint Petersburg during winter results in a beautiful nature during summer time.
I love this park... It is beautiful in every season and any weather. Great place to walk at.
Amazing!!!! Highly recommended. Cathrine was way ahead of her time. Just an great historic place that adds to the mental picture of the great Catherine! Just beautiful!!
When we were visiting, there were alot of tourist so we didnt enter the palace itself. But the garden were so big that it took 3 hours for us just to stroll along. You could take bus to this place and the driver will tell when its time to get off. They used to tourist travel by themselves without guide. Be sure to check this out!
Awesome historical place with mind blowing palaces, churches and gardens with fountains! A must visit with family during summer! You will love it!
Very pleasant park to walk around and spend some time outdoors. Since it is located pretty far from the center, Id recommend to plan to spend there at least half of your day. Dont forget to pack your lunch or enjoy some food at the restaurant theyve got there
Beautiful grounds with plenty to do and look at. Could have stayed all day in the grounds alone finding all the different buildings and bridges. It was so big that you could walk for ten minutes or more and not see anyone and it was very serene, the English forest parts were particularly lovely.
Beautiful.
A lot of beautiful views to take pictures. Free entrance from the end of October. This is the closest park to the palace. There is another one very close with free entrance.
Lots of beauty and history. So much to see...highly recommend.
The park and the Palace are gorgeous. However overcrowded. We waited for three hours in a cold rain and wind just to enter. They should introduce a more sofisticated way to enter.
A nice palace (I would like more things to inside) with one of the most beautiful parks
Very beautiful place! Highly recommended, just 20 minutes from St Petersburg by train
Very beautiful place. Then again all staff not speak English and line to visit inside palace very long line and very slow I wait more than 1 hour I still not get inside. Make sure before you go you need search information.
Where The Hermatage blends palaces with art galleries to mind-boggling effect, Catherine Park and palace stick to showing a tsarist summer palace and its grounds. The result is that the whole thing can be taken in at one sitting and its a show which rewards the effort of seeing it. The park and its many bath houses, boat houses, summer houses and panoramic walks are open to the public and can be accessed without difficulty. This alone is worth the trip. If you can arrange a tour of the inside of the palace (queues are many hours long for those who have not booked in advance) though, you will experience rooms decorated in baroque, classical and imperial style, spanning the fashions of the tsarist age. Of these, the baroque rooms, a riot of gold leaf and crystal chandeliers are the most striking, eclipsing even the most lurid dreams of a fairytale palace. Cinderella would recognise it. In the same style, the famous Amber room, coated floor to ceiling in Amber mosaic is another treasure. Later rooms are less dizzying but equally parked with masterpieces of the applied arts. The palace was gutted by the Nazis in WW2, so much of what we see has been restored from pre-war photographs and architectural drawings. In any case, it is a highlight of my museum collection.
The place itself is marvelous.But.Be ready to wait in really big lines. The organization of museum is quite bad. One line comes after another and it is limited by staff. Be ready that you will spend more than hour waiting in the lines if you wish to visit the palace.
Been here twice. first visit was with tour agent which is excellent; got to cut the line and covered most of the places in the palace with detailed explanations from the tour guide. second visit was with student price ticket but had to queue for 3 hours just to get in; the english audio was not available anymore, not much places in the palace to visit too
Must see... Very interesting place with a lot of history
Embrace yourself for an unforgettable experience in this majestic garden. Did not want to leave until closing time. Be sure to grab an umbrella as weather might be unpredictable!
Big territory, amazing garden, old trees, old building. Atmosphere of old and lost empire.
Catherine Palace and Park are simply superb . No need to say more is there?
Its so amazing and full of beauty...Everyone should visit it..It worth visiting and viewing!!!
Take a peacefull stroll through the greens and explore its rich, lavish royal history.
Super crowds, gardens gorgeous. Avoid summer, go in fall
The park is huge and beautiful, I would try and go during the week as weekends get busy especially if you do the palace tour
Cathering park pushkin Russia
Good for a walk but if you dont have an audio guide about the history, it can be just an average big park.
Of three main parks within SPb domain (Summer Garden, Petergof, and Catherine Park), this is probably my favorite - immaculate lawns and natural fences, lots of places to sit and read/enjoy/meditate. Plan to spend a whole day here to truly appreciate it.
Beautiful place! Must see for every visitor of St Petersburg!
