My fav local beer bar. Been coming here since 2019. Prices you cant beat, the best bartenders with great personalities. The owner is in quite often and he is super nice. I will forever come to this place.

We’ve been back twice now. The bartenders are well versed in each of the beers and flavor options. They have tons of beers and even some ciders on tap. You can get snacks there or they have a deal with a restaurant next door, you may order straight from the bar.

Had a great time here. They have a good selection of beers and many which are really different. For example, I had a taster of a orange, cherry and tequila barrel one and also a taster of lucky charm cream ale. The main reason I didnt give it five stars is the board is hard to read (especially not sitting at the bar) and the beers arent orgianzied. Its hard to read through the whole list (theres a lot) and its hard to find specific types. This makes it hard to find the right one. Thankfully the bar tender seemed to know the available beers really well and was able to help. All in all a great place to grab a drink and Im sure Ill be back!

Best growler venue in DFW! Most of the employees are also beer brewers. You can come in and they will select best beer for your tastes. Also, you can get tastes before you buy on most offerings! Highly recommended for a great brew!

Today we visited The Thirsty Growler located at 5733 State HWY 121 Suite 230. Did you know the have IPAs, Blondes, Brown Ales, Ciders, Kombuchas, Stouts and even non-alcoholic Root Beer!! Today we tried the Passion pearade! Free Wifi and you are encourage to bring your own food or you can have it deleivered! Great place to hang out with friends and watch games or listen to old records! Staff is super friendly. Reminds me of a place where everyone knows your name!

What an amazing place. Great selections of tap and bottles. Very knowledgeable and affordable. Even though we live in Mansfield a must stop when we are there in the Colony.

This place is great. The digital signage to show the on-tap beers and all of the accompanying info is amazing. Complete with real time keg levels! The staff is very nice and laid back. The only drawback is no food. You can bring in your own, but after a few beers I wanted some fries or nachos.

Ive been here twice, maybe three times and I always sat at the bar. Its a pretty small place but has ample seating with high top tables and booths.The bartenders are nice and provide fast service. I love the Lavender cider and this is pretty much the only place I can get it. Great for a chill time.The TVs at the bar are huge and the beer selection is wide; Nice for people who like to explore new beers like me. Definitely not a place for dinner though because the few food items they serve are more for snacking. Because of this, I always eat elsewhere first and then make my way here. I wish it was located closer to a better variety of restaurants or something since theres no other reason I would drive all the way out there.

This place is great!As far as food goes they have chips, peanuts and hot pretzels available for purchase. You are however allowed to bring your own food if you like.This place always has a great variety of constantly rotating beers, amazing staff, comfortable environment and power outlets with two USB ports at every booth.When I say the staff is great, I mean it!I cant think of one time Ive ever been in there(and Ive been there a lot) where anyone behind the bar was ever in less than a great mood. I dont mean they werent in a bad mood and were just there. They were in a good mood and seem to really like working there. Happy staff makes happy customers and this place has that figured out to a T.Theyre also all beer drinkers so theyre knowledgeable about what theyre serving you. Its really nice to walk into a beer bar and be able to actually talk beer with your server, feel confident they know what theyre talking about and be able to trust their recommendations as opposed to just ordering by number and the person pouring the beer not having a clue what they just put in your glass.All that combined with the comfortable, mature and welcoming atmosphere makes this one of my top three places to go for a pint.

Selection is unbelievable! We tried the Guinness Barrel Aged Stock Ale (10%) that was amazing. Check the place out...you wont be let down!

This place is absolutely amazing. Great brews and wine. Staff was fantastic. They actually closed it for my daughters private wedding reception and a great time was had by all. I would definitely recommend. We will return.

Great place to grab a craft beer and relax. 50 draft handles and good variety. My go-to for a beer after work or on weekends. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and a clean and inviting setup with several TVs if youre looking to catch a game. You can bring your own food and they have a few snacks available there for purchase as well.

I never really liked beer before coming here. I have been able to find wonderful beers that I thoroughly enjoy. The staff is excellent. They have so much knowledge about beer and will be able to help answer any questions you might have. Great atmosphere and great beer!!

Love this place! So hard to find sour beers and they usually have about 3 or 4 in tap, and they are all good!! They have an amazing variety of beer.If you want to try new beers, this might be a place for you. They have flights so you dont have to commit to just one. Really like coming here to just relax, I like the atmosphere and its never super crowded (at least when I go)

Very large tap menu to select from. The staff was friendly and willing to help out customers with suggestions based on preferences. They have a few TVs in there too. If youre a beer fan its definitely worth checking out.

The Thirsty Growler is a fantastic place to grab awesome craft beer. You can take some home too if you like... Dont worry if you forgot your growler, they can hook you up with a new one or offer a Growler instead!

My husband and I LOVE the Thirsty Growler! Its a great place to get phenomenal beer and surround yourself with other beer lovers. They have extremely competitive prices as well. The owner and his wife are wonderful and you can tell they are passionate about beer!

Lots of beer choices and a high tech menu. Wait staff is hit or miss, but overall I was satisfied. Few different choices of board games but nothing special. They had some options besides beer like Mead, root beer, etc. Surprising amount of underage people there as well, definitely not a 21+ joint.

Great atmosphere with close to 50 various brews on tap. The staff is knowledgeable and patient if you are having trouble deciding, they will even make recommendations off of your taste preferences. Prices are very good for the area as well. I even met the owner, very nice man and you can tell he is proud of his business and loves introducing craft brewing to the local community! Its bring your own food, so be aware of that. But there are plenty of good places to order from or bring in near by. Many more happy hours to be had here for sure!

Great beer, rotating taps, and a lot of Texas beers. Their cold brew coffee is also really good, and for those who like kombucha, they have it too. No food, but you can bring your own or get it delivered.

Very cool growler fill place that I visit frequently. Friendly and helpful staff, good atmosphere, free WiFi and you can bring in food to eat. The only negative is that the beer selection could be better. I find that Taps and Caps (another growler fill station right down the street) tends to have a better beer selection that rotates more frequently than Thirsty Growler. I do like the atmosphere and seating area better here, though.

Been coming here for a couple months now. Mike the owner (dude with awesome hair) is super passionate about what he does. Loves beer and people. All the staff is amazing Mike and Annalise are amazing.

Ive been in Dallas for a few years and Ive become jaded as to the demeanor of service down here. Long story short... Dallas service sucks.But I came here and was reminded what good service was after nearly 4 years. Ive never been to a place with a more friendly staff... This place not only has the best service but also the best beer selection Ive seen since I went to The Flying Saucer. At a 1/4 of the availability of selections, Id say the quality of this selection far exceeds that of the saucer.

This may be one of the best beer snob bars in the area. No big name brewers, all craft micros.What Thirsty Growler has in selection, it lacks in charisma. Brightly lit, no hot food menu, and no advertised events.The staff knows their beer, but they dont have much more bringing in the crowd. A calender of events (trivia, movies, music, tasting classes) would go a long way to keep me going.That being said, I cant think of another place that sells growlers in so many shapes and sizes. It is becoming my regular stop to fill up on beer I cant find in the market.
