Dishonest company with terrible customer service & record keeping. Theyve attempted to repair my ice maker 4 times and now will not return phone calls/schedule a 5th visit.Conveniently theyve lost record of multiple visits to my house.Avoid at all costs. I made the mistake of purchasing an extended warranty through Appliance Factory Outlet, not knowing I would have to deal with this clown-show. They owe me a working fridge, and at least 3 days salary at this point.Their website rarely works, either.And I noticed they removed the Presidents hotline from their website, which was the only way to get a call back.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I scheduled my appointment on July 5th. They couldn’t get me in until AUGUST 9th. Several other companies I told could have gotten me in within a week. Unfortunately I have a warranty with them.So I call left 5 voicemails for the manager (David). He NEVER called me back. I finally got a hold of him. Told him with a family of 5 this is unacceptable. He pretty much told me I was lying about the number of voicemails I left. So I told him to train his receptionists better then.After threatening to go to the BBB David got my appt moved up the August 2nd…. Lol. Then I get a call yesterday that they have an opening for today. An HOUR before my tech is supposed to arrive he calls in sick. There’s no other tech! Hey Brand Source hire more people or get someone else to my area. So the receptionist tried to schedule me for august 3rd not even for my original day. Pretty much had to lay into her to get my august 2nd appt back. Hopefully I’ll get my tech out her on the 2nd. DO NOT USE THEM AND DO NOT GET THE EXTEND WARRANTY FROM APPLIANCE FACTORY WITH THEM.ON TO THE BBB I GO.

Bought a new Kitchen Aid refrigerator and an extended warranty. Took 3 trips by techs & about 6 weeks to get repaired (some of the time was parts delay). Now, a couple of months later, the ice maker isnt working. The woman on the phone said there is a 2 week waiting time to get a tech to look at it & then the tech is out of the office for about 2 1/2 weeks, so probably 5-6 weeks to get someone to look at the problem? Wondering how much longer to get parts? She said they only have 1 person to look a problem. She insisted on trying to schedule a tech on a day Id be out of town. Last week I left messages for Dave, the Manager four days in a row. Still havent received a return phone call.

This company is horrific. They publish a presidents hotline supposedly to resolve problems, but completely ignore the messages left on it. We have been without a washer for now 9 weeks due to their incompetence. It took them four callouts to finally claim our 2 year old washer was not repairable due to rusted bolts. By listing rust ( in an arid climate) they completely invalidated our warranty. Upon inspection by yet a third party, there is no rust whatsoever. Do not trust them, or utilize their inadequate miserably failing service.

I have had a good experience with my dishwasher but this time it was my microwave. Tech came in and almost immediately said he would love to fix it but that most often it is less expensive to get a new microwave. He hadnt even opened the unit and was telling me this. FOUR minutes later he was in his car with $79.00 service fee. I highly feel that the person who booked a microwave appointment would have/should have at least told me that 8 times of 10 these things are not worth repairing. I understand that the person answering the phone is NOT a tech but they can give statistics stating that most often it is far less expensive to just get a new microwave and not subject a customer to a visit. We could have had the whole unit replaced by now. SO BEYOND FRUSTRATED with you Brand Source (BS).

Mark was our tech. He had to come twice. Once to diagnose problem and again to repair it after the part arrived. He was respectful, thorough, and quick. He listened carefully as I described what was transpiring, and he did some testing on his own. I was told this company only services appliances that are either under warranty or at the manufacturers request. That was my situation; Bosch covered the cost due to the problem we were encountering and the age of the unit. Bosch also initiated the appointments via a service order on my behalf.

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!! (AND APPLIANCE FACTORY) (AND LG)I bought a fairly expensive LG fridge from AP last July (2019). The people that work here are nice people, but they are also frustratingly incompetent. Ill keep this short, but the basis of my 1-star review is the following:1) I had to jump through extra hoops to get my full rebate after I purchased a stove, dishwasher, fridge, and microwave.2) They do not call you back for anything, they dont give updates, they dont even schedule your next appt. after a part comes in. Thats apparently the customers job because we know exactly when they get their parts. They are reactive, not proactive.3) After the Techs 4th, unsuccessful trip to our home, and after they were informed nothing was fixed, they still havent called me back with an update.4) It is now August 31, 2020--no working refrigerator since June 10, 2020. How is that not a breach of warranty? Any class action legal specialists out there? I cant be the only one.I suggest avoiding this place (and LG). Instead, try getting your big ticket item serviced from businesses that have basic competence.

Due to the earlier pandemic closures we were not able to use our regular service company, so we called appliance factory which advertised repairs and had good ratings. What they didnt tell us was they farm their service jobs out to a sister company Brand source so it didnt allow us to look up reviews for them personally. They service guy came out, replaced the part he thought was the issue, charged quite a bit for it and left. This did not fix the issue at all so we made another appointment and the guy finally made it out again after a week and replaced the same part saying it may defective and to call them if there was an issue. The issue was still not fixed and we were still unable to use the washer. We called and after another week he finally came out, looked at the washer and said he had no idea, he would have to talk to his supervisor for some direction. After not hearing from anyone for a week we called the office and explained to the employee who answered what was going on & no one had contacted us. She then said she would talk with her supervisor and they would get back with us. After not hearing from anyone again we called our regular service guys who were now back to work, (having to pay another service fee) they came out and knew immediately what the problem was and resolved the issue. After two weeks and not getting a call back we called again, got a different person who answered the phone and explained the situation, she read the notes on the account and said she did not know why someone had not gotten back to us but the supervisor was in a meeting and she would give him the information and have him call us back...that was almost three weeks ago and still no call. Its terrible customer service and it appears that the service guys do not have a lot of in depth training. I would have given no stars if it would have allowed us to.

My recent experience with Brand Source Appliance Repair has been nothing but positive. This great staff of personnel has worked diligently to get a dishwasher replaced under warranty from Samsung. from the time this claim started in May of 2020,( then covid-19 happened). Parts were hard to get and our technician (Lenny) did every thing possible to try and make this product useful to our house hold. HE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND to help us but things werent happening with Samsung. So now we are in to December and Samsung says it is time to replace it under warranty this happened on DEC7, on the 28 DEC I had still not heard any thing and could not get in contact with the warranty people, that is when I called Brand Source to see if they could help with the matter. The staff there got me in touch with MR. Garza the warranty manager and with in a matter of hours we had a credit at AFMK for a new product. I want to thank all, MR Garza, Lenny, Jennifer and the wonderful women in that office, YOU MAKE THINGS HAPPEN!! Ive had a tech out on multiple occasions. Work was shotty and the problem still has yet to be fixed and now they are ignoring my calls. Hundreds of dollars worth of food just going to waste! Super unsatisfied with the quality and customer service! Will be reporting to the BBB!

I had a refrigerator that lasted 6 days from delivery. While I appreciate getting someone to my house to look at it. I have now been waiting 10 days for the part with no contact from Brand Source. I have called but do not get an answer. I am hoping someone will call me today.

We’ve had excellent experiences with Brand Source Appliance Service & Repair, especially with their Product Specialist James F. James helped us through two issues with our refrigerator, and on all occasions we were beyond impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. Appliance issues are frustrating, so we really appreciated how James took the time to study the situation and troubleshoot root cause (a missed seal underneath the refrigerator), then fix it. When a light module failed, he was able to replace it within minutes. James is really courteous and respectful of the customer’s time. Our cat even loves James, because he’s so friendly. He does a great job representing Brand Source.

While our household has had many good services from this entity, we now have ended up with a really bad experience. We have a relatively new LG refrigerator that stopped working in 2019. Brand Source replaced the compressor and evaporators, without telling us this work was covered under a LG five year warranty program. Refrigerator still was not working after Brand Source did two services, and then said they could do no more.We finally were able to contact LG and after a quick third effort by the LG organization, a repair was successfully completed. The problem ended up being the condenser component.Brand Source informed us we should contact LG to get our 2019 repair labor costs reimbursed. The LG people tell us that such refunding needs to come through Brand Source. LG will not directly honor any request for such reimbursements. Brand Source later at some point told us they were no longer an authorized service entity for LG refrigerators, and cant get approval to do such a refund. Heres the real kicker; in October of 2019 Brand Source submitted to LG, and was paid, a billing for a warranty service at our household that never happened. LG confirmed this latest action in February, 2020. Looks to us like lots of lies are being told, and we likely are hopeless in ever being able to collect any kind of a warranty refund.Customer Beware: Be sure to check out your service organization and check the internet when in doubt about applicable warranties that may benefit such services. There are many good people who work in this industry, but when some turn out to be unscrupulous, things can turn really bad. Some of us might consider going to Small Claims when service issue disagreements arise, but alas even if you get a judgement, good luck on ever being able to collect.

Update April 30, 2018: I can no longer give a 5 star review. My positive review still stands for the tech, however Brand Source as a company is horrible. We had a compressor replaced by Brand Source 70 days ago that is now starting to show signs of failing. Brand Source stated that they only cover parts and labor for 60 days therefore I would have to pay to have a tech come out again. I would think that any company that stands behind their workcould at least send someone out at no cost considering we are only 10 days past. Dont use this company for repair. They only want to nickel and dime you. Great experience with repair of our LG fridge. It took longer than expected to schedule the first appointment, but that was only because we had to have an LG certified tech come out to service the fridge under warranty. Our product specialist, James Ferguson, definitely made this experience the 5 stars I gave it. He showed up on time, was VERY knowledgeable about the fridge, and had the best manners Ive encountered with a repair tech. He also gave me some guidance on how to request LG to cover the service since the fridge was only 2 years old. He saved us $750. If you need service, you should definitely request him.

The service technician who worked on our refrigerator was knowledgeable, experienced, and professional. The only issue is that he didnt have any of the parts needed to fix the problem when he arrived, and he had to come back the next day. I dont know if this would have enabled us to keep all items in our frig and freezer, but he installed the part in five minutes! Were very happy. And even happier that we had an extended warranty.

Had in-home estimate and parts ordered for dishwasher. No call when parts came in. Scheduled full day install window - missed an entire day of work. Technician could not repair with parts purchased, wanted to order more parts and come back A THIRD TIME. Ended up buying new dishwasher.

Buyer Beware - Brand Source Appliance Repair has been the worse service provider I have ever experienced. I will never purchase another Protection Plan contract that is with Brand Source. Tech Eric was rude, condescending and confrontational. Is this behavior intentional so I will be reluctant in setting up another service call in the future? I will never allow them in my home again if I am home alone. They have my money and it appears they don’t intent to honor the contract by providing any services.Service window was 9:00 – 11:00. Eric arrived at 10:55, with only a laptop (obvious he was not there to fix anything). When I tried to explain what the issue was (washer has excessive vibration and very loud), Eric cut me short, said he did not need to hear what my issue was. After 5 minutes with his laptop, Eric informed me there was nothing wrong with my Samsung Washer (washer is 7 months old and still under warranty). When I asked if the washer was level, Eric informed me that was not his job to check. He had been in my home for a total of 10 minutes and told me that was all the time he was allowed and was leaving. Said he would have Samsung contact me. (that never happened)Wanting to ensure I had his explanation down correctly, I paraphrased back what I heard Eric say so that I could articulate to Samsung when they contacted me. At this point Eric became confrontational, told me I did not state it correctly - I did not understand - and that he was leaving. I asked him since I waited 2 hours for him to arrive, please give me 2 more minutes and explain to me what part of our conversation did I misunderstand. Eric stated he would not answer any of my questions as he had already provided me with an explanation - he was not going to say it again as I was “not capable of understanding”. I asked him to please reconsider, again just take 2 more minutes to answer my question. Eric repeated again, he would not waste his time as I “was not capable of understanding”. I was still standing in the doorway of my laundry room during this conversation, Eric became angry and confrontational - said he was calling his supervisor David. I thought that would be great, maybe David would have him answer my question. Again, I said all I was asking was 2 more minutes of his time to clarify. Eric started to become hostile – at which time I asked him to please leave my home.I called Brand Service and spoke with Amy, who said she would have Eric’s supervisor David call me. David has never contacted me. Purchased my new Samsung Washer/Dryer from Appliance Factory. I reported the incident to the Appliance Factory President hotline – never heard from them either. The purchase included an additional Protection Plan contract that Appliance Factory has with Brand Source (their sister company).They show up with the only intent to check the computer sensors. A lot of the mechanical parts of the appliance do not have a sensor to begin with. Such as is the appliance level, are there damage to any of the shock absorbers, is the balance ring, spin basket working properly? Obviously now that they have my money for a protection plan, there is no intention to honor that plan and provide service when needed.

If your appliances are still within the manufacturers warranty then you are fine, no problem at all. But buying the extended warranty is a waste of money. The only thing covered on a washer, for example, is the motor!! That is labeled as a major component and the ONLY major component. So if your drum needs replaced you are s.o.l. which is weird because you cannot use a washer without a drum. So how is that not a major component?And lets forget that you have to pay for labor on top of paying for uncovered parts and the service call.The service technician that came out was wonderful. He tried to do his best for us and really felt bad that he was unable to provide covered parts for us.So Do Not waste your money on the extended warranty. You are paying for nothing.

This company has terrible customer service. I had a range oven serviced in 2016 by them. The tech showed up and decided we needed a new part. I never heard anything after that. So three weeks later I call back and I was told that they couldnt help because there was some sort of conflict with me. Not sure what the conflict was as I actually thought the tech was good, so I asked the manager what happened. They couldnt tell me what happened, but I let it go and moved on a better repair company. Now in 2018, I have an LG dishwasher that needs repair which they assign to Brand Source. I call Brand Source to schedule and they refuse to schedule an appointment, referring to the 2016 incident. I get it that some customers are painful, but Ive never been that customer and they refuse to look into the matter or give me any details on why I was banned. Someone made a mistake on their end and Im the one paying for it - an honest company would at least look into the matter.

My 2-year old refrigerator broke down and we couldnt figure out for the life of us why! Upon Brand Sources arrival we discovered the issue was due to excessive ice buildup in the freezer compartment which compromised the fan. Brand Source came out and was able to easily diagnose the problem and presented a reasonable solution. They had an affordable replacement part and thawed out the ice and fixed the unit to prevent the same problem from happening again.They were very easy to work with and even though I wasnt at home during their visit they communicated clearly their intentions and my wife was able to provide me with the information we needed to make an educated decision on the repairs.They arrived on time and completed the repair quickly. We were fortunate that they had the part already on their truck to fix the refrigerator right away instead of us having to wait for a part to be ordered in.I will definitely call them again if we have issues with another appliance.

To be honest, working with this company has been one of the worst experiences Ive ever had as a homeowner. I know they service units and warranties from other companies, but the level of passing the buck is awful, and actually unethical. They pulled my dishwasher out so much through various repairs that it chewed up my drain hose and water line, but they wont replace those. I asked the new repair man to make sure he had a drain hose and water line with him when he came back (I was willing to pay him for this), but they dont cover hoses attached to the unit by which you cannot run the unit you are paying them to fix!!!!! So, whats the point of a repair if you cant use the unit they repaired when theyre done!!! The level of patronizing and actually confrontational customer service and management is rude and unprofessional. The repair man was also condescending and unprofessional. It stinks that you cant use other companies since BestBuy and others are contracted with these people. Unreal.

If I could give this no stars I would! Horrible and very disrespectful company that lie and cheat you out of a warranty. We had bought our refrigerator about a year ago and also got a 4 year warranty on it. It stopped working over a week ago and we had the technician Mark come look at it. He told us they would get the part and we wouldn’t have to worry about it. Yesterday Mark came by to install it and fix it. He then told us that he couldn’t work in ”these conditions” referring that we had mouse traps (with no dead mice or anything of that matter) and that he will be back to install it. We said okay, took pictures of the place just in case something were to happen and then right after he left all we had to do was pick up the traps and put them away. We then call back to confirm another day to get it fixed and they tell us that Mark reported that there were mouse carcasses and that his health was in danger. We told them we had picture proof of no such thing but they responded by saying we lied and they were canceling our warranty because it was our fault and that we neglected our refrigerator! On top of all of this they personally attacked our home and family by saying we lived in terrible conditions and that it’s disgusting! They not only scammed us out of a warranty but also personally attacked our home and family and with no proof on their part whatsoever! This is a terrible company that has not morals or ethical standards. I will be writing a complaint to the Better Business Bureau

I have an LG Electric Dryer I just purchased that has a special door that opens in 2 different directions. The door swing needs to open the opposite way that it opens now. The issue with Brand is that they are so busy that they are only accepting service requests from LG for appliances that are broken. They did call me and tell me that so I appreciate that, but I was at a loss because I had never heard an appliance repair business refuse work. Usually they gouge you for a trip charge and then gouge you again with a small repair. Kind of surprises me that Brand does not want the business. Needless to say I will suggest that LG take Brand Source Appliance Repair off of their approved appliance repair businesses.

My washer went out 3 days before Christmas. They came out on Christmas Eve. I was just happy I could get someone out there. They charged me a service fee, which was Ok. They had to order a new motor which was under warranty. So that saved me 200.00. They got the motor on Jan 4th. but could not get it in until the 8th. Which was fine. They could not give me a time of day. I had to miss a full day of work, just to make this happen. The tech who was wonderful only took him 1 hour. He then charged me over 300.00. Not cool. I will never use them again. And if anyone asks. I will tell them to go else ware. I hope this helps someone.

I recently purchased a washing machine from an establishment that sources all of the repairs to this company. The washer arrived DOA, but the seller and the manufacturer told me that as it was under warranty I had to have it repaired instead of returning it. I have just been told by Brand Source that the new computer which it evidently requires was lost and that they will order a new one which should be here about 1.5 weeks from now. I have already been waiting over 1 week for the new part, which when added to the time I waited for the back ordered machine to arrive at my house yields almost 2 MONTHS without a washer. This is CRAZY.Update:After several phone calls and an unprecedented amount of complaining, Appliance Factory was able to coordinate with Brand Source Appliance Repair to have my part shipped with expedited shipping. In the spirit of this entire experience, the part Brand Source replaced two days ago was not the cause of the malfunction and I was told that another part would need to be ordered. When I asked whether that part could be expedited, I was told that while it was in town, but they couldnt guarantee an arrival date. At that point I called the manufacturer of the machine and conveyed the saga. The manufacturers tech support people were exceedingly helpful. I spoke with them at 11am on a Wed and had the part in my hand by 8:30am the following day. I then replaced the failed part myself and voila I have a working machine. The point of this post is that I am super discouraged that I had to repair my machine MYSELF after spending countless hours on the phone with AFMK and BSAR to expedite the part shipping in addition to over 5 hours waiting for the Brand Source repair person to arrive and ultimately do nothing that resulted in a working washing machine. Working with these people has been akin to a full time job and I’m happy to tender my resignation!

The installer was great competent, respectful, on time, cleaned up well, all round excellent. Would have given 5 stars, if it werent for some kind of mix up with the originally scheduled date and time apparently at your end, so had to reschedule after waiting around half a day the first time.

Weve been having a lot of trouble with our Samsung refrigerator, but our technician Jay has been nothing but professional and thorough in his attempts to remedy the issue. Im not happy with the fridge, but Jays persistence in trying to get our issues resolved has been appreciated.

Awful, just awful in every way. They have absolutely no flexibility at all, dont give you any idea how much the service, claimed my warranty would pay for everything, and then sent me an outrageously large bill weeks later. Initially called in January, didnt get my dryer fixed until June. Arranged to miss work one day to meet them at the house, then they cancelled on the day of the appointment.They are just hands down the worst organization that I have ever dealt with, including cable/internet companies, cell phone carriers, DMV, you name it.
