Delicious and quick, friendly service! Kalua pork is a must have. Juicy, tasty, satisfying... All the BBQ meats are tender and flavorful, and in my opinion, the chicken was the best.Taking a star off for the drinks, which were fine but not their strong suit. If youre going to spend $4 on a bubble tea, might as well go to a specialist.
To be honest this was the worst most overdone Loco Moco I’ve ever eaten. The rice was a little hard due to being in the warmer to long. My buddy had the Chicken Katsu and said we would probably rate it a 2.5 compared to other Hawaiian BBQ we’ve had. The Mac Salad however was the best thing we ate and we would go back for seconds on that. Won’t be going back to this one.
Ordered food through Grubhub for delivery today and it was incredible! It was packaged so neatly! The order was so fast and amazingly tasty. Because its my first order from here I wanted to try a few things and got enough for 2+I got a House combo with BBQ shrimp, BBQ ribs, and mochiko chicken. Then I ordered a milk tea w/ boba and 2 musubis - spam and beef. 100% recommend the mochiko chicken. Like if you can only get 1 thing - Get that. Everything else was pretty goodbye! Boba was mediocre as expected. But seriously. That chicken.
The portions are big, but the meat flavoring is a hit or miss; in fact, Ill only recommend the short ribs. The Spam Musubi is good. The employees are nice.Overall it was 3.8 stars
Great service and offers traditional hawaiian food in good quality not frozen + warmed up tasting. Servers are very friendly and helpful. Overall taste is a 4/5 but only because I have had it made with higher quality ingredients.
Hate to give them this rating but, there was no seasoning or flavor. Very bland food for food that should be SO flavorful.I was so excited when I found this place! Being from Hawaii, this was utterly disappointing and more-so, sad.I’ve had multiple items from their menu at this point and ALL were very under seasoned, if not, unseasoned at all. Sorry, but I won’t be spending my money there anymore.Positive: Great customer service! ... here’s the menu for all looking for it! :)
Menu is expensive but quantities of food absolutely match the price. Food taste and quality is phenomenal as well. Bring stretchy pants.
We eat here all the time though uber eats. My go to for quick, consistently good food for great prices. Probably order from here almost weekly. Highly recommend.
The chicken did not look or taste like chicken, and the Katsu sauce was my least favorite version of Katsu sauce in my life so far. Service was great and portions were large. Not all bad
They hook you up! Lots of food for what you are paying. I had the Loco Moco and everything about it was perfect.
Great and affordable food. If you like a variety of bbq sauces this place will have what youre looking for.
The food is amazing! If you decide to eat here they serve so much food that one order is enough for two people. I recommend the chicken katsu!
I absolutely love this place! Anytime Im close by I have to swing by and order something. The spam musubi is classic Hawiian flavor that is a must get every time. Garlic shrimp, Loco moco, chicken katsu, and mochiko chicken are all really really good! I havent tried everything, but everything so far is worth getting again!
Awesome food, great service. There are a couple things on the menu that I didnt know what they were, but staff were super nice about it. I definitely recommend.
Yum! Good quality and quantity for the price. Recommend standard bbq chicken.
Really good. Great quantity and quality of food. If your a hungry college student, splugre $15.00 and get enough food for a few days that tastes amazing!
Was decently good food. A little high priced for a pork loin chop grilled and sauced with bbq and then called pork bbq. And a chicken patty cut up with a side of orange sauce as orange chicken. The shrimp was good but do not like tartar sauce with shrimp and was never offered cocktail sauce. My wife loved the teriyaki beef- it was tender and flavorful. Also who needs two sides of plain rice? Anyway, I would pick a cuisine and stick with making that one good first. Also also, get a good recipe for mac and cheese- that would be better than 2 rices. Dumpling are bomb! Overall decent but Id revamp the menu a little.
Ordered spam musubi and a large bbq pork. The spam musubi was good, but the BBQ pork was just an overcooked pork chop with some sauce on it and was very disappointing.
Always great. I orded this when I had my son and it was the best thing for post labor.
We came here yesterday looking for a Hawaiian fix, we saw other places that didn’t have quite as good reviews so we went with Today Hawaii BBQ. It’s kind of a hole in the wall shop, with a small store front, but when we went in we were completely welcomed, which usually doesn’t happen because we’re a big family of 7. There were two ladies that helped us and they were so friendly and kind. They handed us menus and gave us time to look it over and the prices are fair, especially the combo meals. We had four adults sharing 2 house combos and neither of us finished. The mac salad is really good along with the shrimp, kalua pork, katsu chicken, and the teriyaki chicken. The curry chicken was also good, it was just a bit spicy. Our boys didn’t love the moco loco, but we make it at home and it’s just not the same to them and they used a different type of gravy. We also had the boba tea, manapua and spam musubi and all were delicious! We have family in Hawaii and frequent the beautiful islands, and so when we come back to Colorado we miss the amazing Hawaiian cuisine, and the last place we found was a little expensive and they unfortunately closed down, but now we have a spot that we’re definitely returning to! The service was amazing and they made sure we all had our food and it was correct, they were also thankful to all of their customers who came in. We would definitely recommend it.
This is a great hole-in-the-wall Hawaiian joint. The portion sizes where huge. Everything came out of the kitchen pretty quick and hot and fresh. The food tasted great.
We went there for the first time just passing by.I tried the moco loco, my husband had the BBQ mix plate. It was delicious! Nice little dive, great service, big portions, and reasonably priced.
They lady that runs this place is super kind, once a I went to order a bunch of food and it was a slow day the owner gave me a few steam buns, and theyre so freaking good. All the food there is solid Ive never had a wrong order, always plenty of food and always great service!
Ignore negative reviews. If you know and love authentic Hawaiian drive-in fare, you will love this place.
The Spam Musubi is amazing. Never had or heard of it before and thought it wasn’t going to be good really. One of the best things Iv ever tasted. Will go back just for that.
God its so amazing. I could get baptized in their bbq sauce.
Its ok, not really like the kine you find in Hawaii. L & L much betta!!
Small place but really good food 😋
This place is so good.
The Best Hawaiian food in Colorado! Every time I’m in the area, I have to stop and pick up some food.
This place is so good!! I love their macaroni salad and the service is great. Very nice people.
Large portions and reasonably priced! I ordered a Lychee Boba with the BBQ Combo Plate, which came with rice, Mac salad, and egg drop soup (not Hawaiian?). I think two scoops of rice is excessive, perhaps just one giant scoop is acceptable. Otherwise, everything was tasty and delicious! Good servings of meat and I liked that it had a touch of freshness as it was served on a layer of coleslaw. The receipt said “Today Chinese” which was a little weird to me... but the food tasted great! Ambience inside the restaurant gave the Hawaiian vibe (music, decorations, picnic-style tables), and the lady that took our order was super friendly and patient.I’d go back!
This place is so good. The best kalua pork I have had outside of Hawaii itself! The staff is friendly, the portions are huge, and the quality is always good. Very lucky to have such a great place on the north end of town.
Good food...at first I was skeptical until I tried my moms food never had Hawaii food because I never been to Hawaii duh but was bomb af and I wasnt even high so thats good food imagine if I was high food would been intensified but it all depends on how picky you are with food
It’s a decent place when I’m craving short ribs and spam masubi! But all of their food has a weird taste as if it was unfiltered tap water and their Mac and cheese just doesn’t set right with my taste buds. But customer service is great and their food is pretty decent.
The food was great and came out fast. Everyone in the restaurant was smiling and friendly. If you had a bad day today, visit here for some food, and you will leave with a smile on your face!
I lived in HI for about 10 years so having something as authentic as this so close is great! Where else are you going to find Spam Musubi and Manapua?
This place is amazing! The terkiyaki chicken is my go to. The people are always friendly. You get alot food for the price. I definitely recommend you stop by at least once
Amazing food!! I will def be going back.
I went to this place on a whim, and Im so happy I did. I got the BBQ chicken plate and it was delicious!Portion was huge, cant wait to try their other menu items
We really enjoyed this place. The owners are from Hawaii and it shows. The food was great classic Hawaiian plate lunches. We just came back from Oahu and the food ranked with some of the best we had there. This was, by far, the best Loco Moco Ive had. Good job guys.
We ordered this today (2-27-21) from GrubHub. It was by far, the most disgusting food Ive had in recent memory. I had the pork, chicken, and beef combo. The chicken was edible but the pork was extremely gamey. The beef tasted like it was bad. The rice was well cooked and quite good, and the salad was also fine.My wife orded the two meat combo with chicken katsu and kalua pork. Her meal was equally disgusting. We paid nearly $50 for two entrees. They give you a lot of food but its almost all going to get thrown away. I dont understand how its so well reviewed. Its a rip-off and I am worried Im going to get sick from what I ate.Edit - order was refunded through grub hub, Ill keep this up as a warning for others.
Best Hawaiian plates in all of Denver and boulder. EAT HERE!!!!
Super friendly service with speed to go pick up order. Always crows in there.
The staff was very friendly! The food was legendary, highly recommended!!!!!!
Favorite place in Thornton! The food is consistently good and the service is beyond stellar. This is one of those places youll never get tired of!
Desert and Dins! What can I say everyone wins!
Always SO good! Reminds me of being on the island 🥰
Always good food! I prefer the large BBQ chicken. But the large beef teriaky is also great!! Good service as well 😊
I grew up in Hawaii until I was 26. I moved here 3 years ago and only recently discovered this place. They passed my Oxtail Soup test. Very authentic. (I shouldve asked for no peanuts, but peanuts is common in oxtail soup). The meat fell off the bone, which means they KNOW what theyre doing.I WILL be back.
Order to go Katsu chicken is not the business L N L IS WAY BETTER SORRY BUT GOTTA BE HONEST KATSU CHICKEN WAS GARBO N IM NOT HAPPY AT ALL MAC N CHESSE NOT ON POINT NOT GOOD WAIST OF 50 dollar
Tonight me and my boyfriend wanted to try something out of our usual, so he picked this place to try, and WOW!! We love the food, everything we ordered was delicious and great large portions. We will definitely be returning for more.
The Manapua was soooo delicious and so was the mochiko chicken!
Food was very good. Quantity is fantastic for the price.. You will be full for sure. It is small family owned place there is some steating but not a lot. It is not authentic hawaiian has a little more asian influence but still excellent with lots of flavor. Very polite and friendly.. Will for sure eat here again.
I love this place! The kaluha pork is amazing. I havent had anything I disliked from here yet.
First off the staff here is super friendly always happy. Next the food never seems to disappoint and the portions are huge. Its not quite a fast food restaurant not quite a restaurant its what I would expect when Im in Hawaii. This has definitely is one of my favorite restaurants and I head there at least once a month.
Everything was great! Definitely makes me remember Hawaii. Quick service and nice staff, too.
The owners and workers are such nice people! They are so nice to every soul that they meet! Next time you go in, be sure to ask a cashier about Skye. I have ate almost everything on the menu, so good!
I ordered more than couple times, but last time I ordered they didnt put any sause. This time katsu is too burn and please use fresh oil.
Great food and wonderful service!! We got the teriyaki chicken, katsu chicken, and lemon pork everything was delicious, they even keep the lemon sauce separate so your food doesnt get soggy. We will absolutely be back soon.
A fav location for tasty hawaiian food. service is awesome even when they are busy. really nothing but enjoyable experiences here, ill be back. this place has a good feel to it. ambience is similar to fresnos scene.
Excellent food! I tried the 2 mixed plate with short ribs/BBQ pork & Kimchi. I thouroughly enjoyed both, as well as their pasta salad. Id highly recommend supporting this local business if you enjoy food made with love!
Good service
This place was better than I expected. My family is from Hawaii and we usually go back each summer. Most of the hawaiian food in colorado isnt even close to hawaii. This was pretty solid. The garlic butter shrimp and the mochiko chicken were especially good. Massive portions too
This spot has amazing service as well as yummy food. One of my favourite places around here. The food and drinks came out fast and the rates were affordable. Recommended.
Had the Loco Moco, it was a large serving and tasted great. The macoroni salad was delicious. The spam matsubi was good too. They cooked everything fresh, so it took a little bit before it was served, but it was worth it. I wished they had a soda fountain instead of just cans, because with all that salt I got really thirsty. The service was very friendly.
Maybe we caught them on a bad day but we spent over $60 for three plate lunches only to get sick shortly after. Kalua pork was drenched in liquid smoke, mac salad tasted like it wasnt made recently, overall it wasnt worth the drive or the money. The woman working was nice, but it took 20+ minutes for wildly overpriced food. Wish them well, but standards should increase.
The food is really good and the lady thats in the front taking the orders and payments is really pleasant.
This is a hidden Gem, the friendly staff working there is very upbeat and polite, they serve really good food portions... Ive ordered several different dishes throughout my visits and they have all been absolutely delicious, I totally recommend this place, clean and convenient, a little hidden from a street view, but so worth the find. The macaroni salad is amazing, rice is always on point, and any meat choice is a hit... Great food!!!
In all honesty, this is easily my favorite restaurant in all of CO, and possibly ever. The service / hospitality is truly unmatched and something I have rarely experienced ( if ever at all ) when eating out. The portions are huge, the food is insanely incredible, and the prices are great. Ive gone to dine in twice, and both times theyve brought some kind of extra food that they wanted me and my girl to try, free of charge, just for us to enjoy ( and both times, the food was incredible ). I highly recommend to anyone. It truly is my favorite restaurant, and I will be going there for the foreseeable future.
Fake chicken, read All the reviews and took a chance at this place food is just OK chicken is Poor quality. Go to L and L 100xs better.
Had the chicken katsu and it was perfect. Perfectly fried and cut, still very tender, juicy chicken. The BBQ sauce was a delicious spicy/sweet mix. Taro slush was good, as good as any other one Ive had. All round tasty joint, I will be back!
So delicious.
I wish the quality of the food was more consistent. Ive ordered the same thing several times and it tasted fresh and delicious, but some days it tasted like leftovers and just okay. Ive had more good experiences than not, so overall I do like this place and will keep coming back. :)
The food was great and freshly made! My wife and I loved it!The downside to this place is the lack of fountain drinks and that the bottled/canned beverages are pretty pricey. Portions served are smaller than they appear in the pictures.Other than that, we were really satisfied with their customer service.
Loved it! Saw this place online and tried it out. Portions are large and prices are great. We ordered the Mix 2 combo with katsu chicken and the BBQ pork, also had the katsu pork. Came with the macaroni salad and rice. All the food we ordered was fantastic. Katsu crispy. Love this place and will be back.
Pretty good for some hawaiian food in colorado. Some meat doesnt have enough flavor. Prices are way high.
This place has amazing bbq chicken, very friendly, welcoming, small family owned business. Only bad mark I have is they are closed every Wednesday when im craving it.
Been in CO for over 2 years and this is by day the best Hawaiian bbq I’ve had. I’m sad that I didn’t find this place sooner. Really tastes like home. Called in to ask about their sauce and the lady on the phone was very helpful. Mahalo Nui Loa!
Brings back memories of eating in hawaii, authentic Hawaiian food. Great customer service! Food is delicious. Would definitely recommend+
Quality of their food had gone down hill, used to like their katsu.
The food was delicious! Very friendly staff. Beats L&L for sure! Spam musubi was authentic tasting!. I recommend getting the house combo for your first time, cause you can pick 3 different meats!
Great for vegetarian meals. It is scary with all the meat dishes in the menu but all can be substituted with tofu in choice of grilled style or fried. Super fresh environment and amazing family business! Thank you so much! A large order of orange tofu is a good portion for a family of 4.
Had the mix combo bbq. Food equal to L&L with family spin on recipes. Bench seating okay for a quick meal, not for lingering around. Overall a great local family restaurant.
